Jazz in: Frigid Dragon Slayer

Floating out of the netsquare portal, Jazz wasted absolutely no time in floating his way towards the network, frigid winds hitting him right in the face as he did, but wasted no time in trying to look around for the aformentioned viruses. Heeeeeeeere bluegon, bluegon bluegon, come to jazz so he can rip yer heads off!

(Battle 1, 200 HP, Floatshoes equipped and active, Bluegon bounty)
As Jazz went seeking his quarry in the Sharo net snows, his steps across the soft, heavy snow were light and unobstructed and the weather was surprisingly calm and clear, for Sharo. It was still bitterly cold, but at least there was some sun. He was in an area of gently soling hills, mostly blanketed white, with the occasional tall icy spire stretching up many dozens of feet, like icy explosions held in a moment.

He didn't have to spend too long searching before the sound of some large creature exhaling angry blasts of frost drew his attention. They came from an area surrounded by low hills, hemming in a broad, frozen lake. Central to the lake, the ice cracked away into a black pit that allowed the first of his target bounty to energy from deeper in the net. The lake itself was dotted with smaller snow sculptures; three surprisingly well made and highly detailed snowmen, and one much larger one right at the edge of the pond that Jazz approached from, which looked to have been made by far less skilled hands.

On either side of the Bluegon, two green-clad figures were busy playing in the snow, but as soon as Jazz appeared, they each turned to face him and hunkered low, beginning to scoop up snow into small make-shift bunkers around themselves. Just to his right, one of the snowy hills shuddered and shook, before revealing itself to be a large shaggy mound of virus, which yawned and looked towards him as well. To complete the picture, further back, on the highest hill above the pond, directly opposite where Jazz emerged, a ColdHead opened and closed its metal jaws once, taking note of the scene.

Just before Jazz could engage with his foes, the poorly-made snow sculpture next to him also began to quiver. the head of the snow sculpture exploded in a shower of snow, revealing a green crystal that glinted in the sun – it seemed as though most of the surrounding viruses immediately took notice, with both of the fort fighters beginning to point at it with great enthusiasm. The data crystal had a small note stuck to the outside of it, facing jazz. It read, in fairly childish handwriting:

“Dodge and dive, run and shoot, but for best rewards, please save this loot!”

-=Battle 1, Start!=-
Exhaling as he finally found his quarry, the rabbit would happily rub his paws together. Finally, a dragon, time to slay it in the most awesome way possible. His body switching to it's combat routines...something was different, off even. Turning his head, he finally noticed the GMD sitting on a body of snow, just as a SnowBlow shook it's self free from the frozen confines of the snow, he began to read over the note scrawled upon the GMD, his ears drooping down low just as he figured out what it was...and he was unsure how to go about things.

Alright, first he had to protect the GMD, but that SnowBlow...it could erase his barrier without even having to damage it...first it had to go, before anything else could be done about the GMD's protection. Immediately turning to the Snowblow, he moved as fast as his legs would take him. Afterimages beginning to form behind him as he continued towards the Snowblow, launching himself up into the air with great aplomb, he fell faster and faster at the immobile virus, legs stuck out in front of him Jazz attempted to crush the Snowblow beneath his powerful legs, going so far as to kick up a plume of snow from his impact...and subsequent popping of both his thighs in the process. The rabbit crawling out from under a mound of snow and standing, groaning out as he knew the repercussions of his attack against the virus, but hopefully it was enough to remove it before the fight got too heated.

Turning back towards the mystery data he had to protect, the rabbit held his hand out towards the crystaline data cache as he muttered to himself a spell of protection. His fingers glowing softly as the defense began to slowly form around it, first came the bubble of protection in the form of a barrier, slowly covering it in the protective layer before a hardened resin began to cover it from top to bottom, the casing that would give it a second chance once the bubble popped, even if not for long. Stephine, Firebomb. Jazz spoke simply, he didn't have long, or maybe the assault had begun on him and the MD, it was hard to tell regardless.

Turning towards the viruses, a metal sphere would begin to materialize in his hand, a simple light red brushed over the sphere's surface as he began to take calculations against the rest of the viruses around him, two defensive virus, his quarry and a cannonball shooting virus towards the back. Either way, Jazz sized up the distance between him and the lake, arching his arm backwards before bringing it forward once, twice...and the third time, he would chuck the bomb out towards the lake in front of him, throwing the bomb towards the middle of the lake as hard as he could, upon impact with the ground the bomb would belch up a wave of kerosene, tar and unleashed flames all across the field within it's blast radius. Any viruses that might have been within the area would soon find themselves covered in the flaming tar, sticking against the afflicted viruses and burning brightly against their bodies.

Moving out from his spot, Jazz would immediately float his way along the middle of the field, leaving himself completely open for a brief moment before jumping his way towards the side, his body getting a fresh coating of snow on top of is attempted dodge away from the enemy attacks.

Afterwards, dusting himself off again, Jazz held his hand out towards the mound of snow the Coldhead would hold it's self upon, soon afterwards, a Needler virus would begin to form out from underneath the snow and ice. Shaking it's self off slowly before immediately shooting off towards the virus on it's mountain of snow, the virus he summoned rushing headlong against the mounted cannon unit, attempting to ram it's self in a blaze of explosive glory and ramming the payload right into the face of the virus.

Right after, Jazz would que up his final chip...a very VERY powerful one that Stephine had lucked herself into. As he began the attack, a moon in the color of the blue skies would begin to rise up above Jazz's head, his hand outstretched as he commanded it's summoning. Stoic expression on his face, Jazz brought out his other hand, a bright blue glow beginning to envelop his body as he began to power the moon above him, his body shuddering and shaking as the blue moon began to crack and splinter across it's surface...chunks of moon falling to the ground with heavy thuds, snow kicked up into the air as the moon soon enough revealed it's true form...an orbital cannon. Tubes and wires, pristine and untouched, along with the gun it's self would begin to charge it's massive laser, a rumble from the sky as it finished charging, before sending out a massive laser down at the opposing Blugon's head, attempting to not only rip it's head right off to a cinder, but to remove the virus from it's very existence.

--->Bluegon
Eager to start a fight, jazz had to double check his decisions in the face of the unexpected objective. While the two snowball-wielding fighters swiftly build forts on the ice to protect themselves, Jazz reacted in a more decisive manner, and made short work of the just-awakening SnowBlow before it could cause problems. One fierce kick was all it took.

Atop the hill, the Coldhead virus clapped shut, brewing a new freezing attack, but the Bluegon at the centre of the pond was more aggressive, blasting out a wave of freezing ice towards Jazz and his prize. Fortunately for the navi, the blast-wave of ice crashed against the three snow figures spread out across the ice, and though all three were obliterated, the attack lost its force and didn't reach them.

Jazz responded with something a fair bit hotter. The explosive firebomb struck the Bluegon in the chest just as it fished exhaling, and detonated to send a rolling front of fire and destruction across the ice. The two fortfighters huddled low as their defences melted away, thought they seemed to have done the job of protecting them both for now. More worrying was the fact that the pond was now, well, a pond again. As the ice melted, they both popped up with a series of splashes and clambered out onto the snow on each side and began pelting snowballs not at Jazz, but at the protected mystery data. One hit, though the strong barrier held for now.

With his prize protected, Jazz was still focused on dealing with threats before they could risk his future winning. He summoned up a needle platform that rammed directly into the still closed ColdHead virus. It was just beginning to open its muzzle, but the forceful crash would have destroyed it either way; neither virus nor platform survived the crash.

The Bluegon was still kicking ,however, and shook itself off from the earlier singing. It blasted a second wave of ice towards Jazz and the mystery data. This time, Jazz had to jump out of the way, with no more objects between him and the dragon. The mystery data was less nimble, but its defences held firm – the barrier was dashed away, but the casing underneath remained intact. As soon as the frost wave passed, Jazz answered with a much heavier assault – at first it seemed like nothing more than visual aesthetic, but before long the true nature of the attack was revealed, and the Bluegon had a brief moment of confusion, before being scoured from the net by the powerful laser blast.

The fight seemed mostly under control now, but even as Jazz took stock of the battlefield and the two snowball-flinging viruses that remained, another mound, to his left, shuddered and shook itself off, revealing a second SnowBlow, awakened by the ruckus. An angry roar followed as, curling around the disintegrating remains of the slain Bluegon, another dragon shot up from the hole in the ice, bellowing at Jazz in a fury.

-=Turn 2!=-
Panting out as the orbital laser would soon disappear, the bunny could feel his legs starting to pound, he obviously pulled or popped -something- from that first attack and only just now it caught up with him. Nnnngh. Gonna have to use that attack sparingly it looks like. Think I popped my hips out of place...definitely feelin a bit sluggish... He mumbled to himself, rubbing either thigh of his as yet another snowblow would show up, conveniently right next to him...and then a SECOND Bluegon would rise up out of the hole he had deleted the first one, convenient. So, still feeling confident in the whole "Dragon Slayer" business of yours? His netop would pipe up with a giggle, seeing the Bluegon roar at her netnavi, she wasn't worried about him, but there was certainly a bit of danger to be had farming dragons for their chips, but it provided a little spice, so to speak. Alright Jazz, you got two viruses that can be taken care of real easy, what about the big dragon and fluff ball next to ya? Your legs are bothering you and you ain't gonna be able to delete everything without a little luck. Stephine continued, not giving Jazz a chance to answer, this was his mess and he had to clean it up.

Jazz mauled it over for a moment before speaking. Sidegun, Shotgun, Drillarm and Needlecannon. I need the artillery. And piercing those shields will be just as good as anything else. Jazz spoke simply as he began to figure out what to do. And after a single click he'd hold his hand outwards, a tri-barreled shotgun forming in the paw, two barrels on either side and a single one atop the two, Enough buckshot to delete just about anything here, but he would sigh and turn to the Snowblow on his right, pointing the tri-barrels at it's side. Next time. Stay dead. It's fer ya own good there. He said simply to the virus, not caring if it understood him before pulling the trigger. A triple blast of energy erupting from the barrels with a singluar pull of the trigger, the rabbit's barrels quickly degrading and corroding as he tossed the gun, the blast speading out from the initial area it had hit, scorching the snow to either side of it's impact as he quickly did his best to move.

His feet stomping across invisible ground just above the snow, limping slightly as he did, Jazz would make his move forward and to the left of Bluegon that had popped up, he knew he was in trouble if he got hit by it's blasts of icy energy. His Casing would only hold up for just a little bit if they had taken another interest in the shielded cache of data, he needed to keep thinning the numbers as much as he possibly could, despite his own hide getting frozen solid across the snow. Taking one final chance to evade the virus' attacks if he had the chance, he would dive into the snow as best he could to evade any potential attacks he had on his tail, despite getting yet another fresh coating of it. Standing up straight in a hurry and getting back to his feet, brushing the snow away from his face, the rabbit would immediately pull another gun out, a simple pistol out of thin air. A sleek looking glock that shone in the cold sun, Jazz took aim towards the Fortfighter in his range, looking down the iron sights of the gun, he would quickly pull the trigger. Sending a white hot bullet of pure energy down towards the virus, another explosion rocking through the back of whatever it hit, with Jazz's prior engagements with the virus it was likely through the shield and into the dark face of the virus.

Turning his head towards the left, Jazz would make his move. He didn't need to bother with the FortFighter on the left just yet hopefully. Instead, he was in range of the giant dragon that would chow down upon him after freezing his ass solid beyond anything else. But instead of simply rushing to the lake and turning into a frozen bunnypop, Jazz instead pulled out a bomb, lighting it up quickly and tossing it into the skies above. Before long, an explosion would sound as the bomb's contents, a very absorbing and fertile soil powder, would begin to sprinkle down onto the field, centered mostly upon the lake area he had melted previously. Before long, the water began to drain away as it's water would quickly begin to turn into a soft, fertile soil from which he could avoid being completely frozen upon.

Afterwards, the rabbit would be quick to move, gods only knew what else would show up if he couldn't take out this virus here and now. And the idea of a third dragon for him to slay...well, that was a thought in the back of his head. Pulling his hand out forwards as he rushed the dragon within the hole, he would slide to a stop before he got too far and fell in, even if he wasn't touching the soil he enjoyed between his feet, he wasn't about to wait for his floatshoes to deactivate briefly so he could. His outstretched hand would begin to bring the data of the fallen viruses to encapsulate his hand, metal plates and wires beginning to form around the fuzzy digits up to his wrist. Before long, a fully functioning drill was fully encapsulating his hand in the mishmash of plated and scrap metal, the drill having but a single point to dig through the virus' body. Jumping forward, his hand activated the Drill's trigger, a loud whirring noise echoing across the field as he began to try and bury his drill deep in the dragon's throat, the drill spinning rapidly before overheating. Jazz slipping his hand out of the drill before it got too toasty for his own good and jumping back, his drill quickly fell all to pieces and fell to the ground as a useless scrap of metal.

For his last action, Jazz produced two pairs of four glowing knives. From where he had them stored, nobody knew, as the knives slid between his fingers like two sets of four kunai, his fingers gripping between the two sets of weaponry as he began to take aim at the dragon after his attempted drilling through it's tough hide, he brought one of his arms back behind him. Swiftly, his arm would fly upwards, sending the four knives contained between his fingers flying upwards at the Dragon's throat, his fingers spread apart for a moment afterwards as he readied his second set of knives. Bringing his arm across his face, he would send the arm forward in a sideways motion, attempting to stick the dragon's throat with a cross of knives between the eight he had between his fingers, not a chuckle or smirk on his face. He was out for blood, his big bunny eyes showing that with the steely stare he had.

With more reinforcements showing up, the two Fortfighters renewed their efforts and swiftly rebuild their tiny fortifications at the edge of the now-melted lake, but Jazz didn't have time to deal with them at first – the second Snowblow yawned and inhaled deeply, pulling both Jazz and the data crystal towards its gaping mouth. Before it could do any more than that, however, the rapid-firing rabbit pulled on more of his extensive arsenal and delivered a pint-blank shot into the virus' maw. The scatter spread of the gun also speckled one of the ice forts, stripping back some of its protection, though the fighter behind it remained safe.

The two popped up from behind their fortifications and began pelting more snowballs, though surprisingly their attention was still on the mystery data, and not Jazz; the pair really seemed to want it destroyed for some reason. Even so, their aim wasn't the best – one found its mark, damaging the data crystal's protective casing, but the other dropped into the pond with a splash.

The two snowballs were followed by a bellowing roar as the new dragon exhaled an all too familiar wide spray of frost and ice. Jazz was able to leap clear of the wave of ice, just barely, but once again, the data crystal itself was notably less nimble. Its casing gave way under the assault, and though the data itself was unharmed, it was now painfully vulnerable again.

Jazz was already moving to clean up as many enemies as he could, starting with the snowball-throwing ones. His next shot pierced through the fortification and destroyed the virus behind it with s startled yelp. There was still a stretch of water between Jazz and the other foes in the area, but as usual, the bunny had a bomb just right for the occasion, and swiftly drained the space to replace it with a fresh and fertile soil. It likely wouldn't stay that way long in Sharo's freezing cold, but for now it was a warm island in the surrounding snow and ice. Except for the Bluegon that was still presiding over the centre of it, of course.

The remaining Fortfighter tossed a second snowball at the data crystal, hoping to damage it properly now that its defences were removed, but fortunately for Jazz, the shot missed, splattering to the ground on one side. Jazz, meanwhile, darted across the soil to try and put the dragon in its place with his next weapon. The drill was a bit unwieldy, but he did manage to clip it once, grazing the beast's mid section and drawing another angry growl from the virus. Luck was with Jazz in another way, however, as his aggressive assault proved to be just enough to draw the dragon's attention, if only momentarily. He was blocking the creature' line to the data beyond, and instead the dragon blasted Jazz himself with a wave of freezing water, in a crashing wave that pushed him away from the Bluegon forcefully.

Even so, the bunny-boy was unperturbed enough to retaliate with a series of well-aimed knives. A strafe of impacts traced up the dragon's body as the blades struck, most of them accurate enough to get he job done; as the last struck the virus in the forehead its growl became a groan and it fell forward onto the soil, beginning to degrade.

Less fortunate for Jazz was the fact that his prize still wasn't safe. A screech from the right announced that an errant Pulsebat had found them, and its attention had been drawn by the shiny green crystal. If that weren't enough, a further groaning sound rose from the missing hole in the centre of the former-pond. not another dragon, this time – but a dark shadowy shape, bearing a black sword, rose from the gap, one red eye glaring at the navi and the treasure behind him.

-=Turn 3!=-
Jazz groaned out as he began to feel the weariness of the fight beginning to get to him, the frigid cold breath blasting him hard in the face as he chilled to the bone, his field of soil just barely keeping the feeling in his feet. Chilled to the bone, his GMD completely uncovered and ready to be preyed upon by the trio of viruses that were after it, he needed to rush and grab his prize before they could destroy it. Guard1, Stephine. I'm out of protection and I need something to keep the heat off-a me for a little bit longer...there's no way I can delete these three and keep the MD safe. Gotta make a tactical retreat with it under my arms. Jazz wearily spoke, heavy breathing as he began to shake off the icy grasp of the Bluegon's breath attack. He was gonna need a slight break after this, but...he could probably go further if this continued on.

Walking forward, taking no heed of the Pulsebat that fluttered above the field right next to him, Jazz began to move his legs faster and faster, warming himself up as he began to move towards his GMD prize, kicking up the newly fallen snow around him in a whirl of his fleet feet, Jazz quickly moved his way across the soil-field to his prize. Activating his chip data, the navi would begin to form a wooden shield coated in the Metool-helmet material, a green cross plastered on the front of it as a...light yellow color would form a secondary coating across the wooden shield affixed it's self upon his shoulder. The navi taking hold of the MD between his hands, holding it much akin to a football, the navi would immediately book it back towards where he had come from, his feet carrying him from the MD's position back towards that one virus he had to ignore for the time being. Steps heavy as he practically flew across the field as fast as he could, making an effort to duck his head down, curving his body around the GMD before making a hard left towards the snow.

Dusting himself off, the navi stood back up from his evasive maneuver, the navi looking over at the virus he had been unable to get a real bead on, would begin to dash through the snow and dirt, snow blowing out back behind his feet as he made his way to the second FortFighter that he had been ignoring. Little bastard helped in wasting his defenses while it brought it's own defenses and fortified them like nothing else. He would have to punish that. His feet going through the cold snow and ice, bellowing plumes of fallen powder forcefully brought up into the air as he charged at the FortFighter from the side of it's shield. Time for a kickoff! Jazz shouted as he brought both of his legs up into the air, a soft light enveloping his feet as he did. Tucked under his body, the rabbit holding tight onto his prize, twisted through the air, feet pointed at the virus as his face pointed downwards into the fresh powder. Thrusting them forwards, the rabbit brought forth a kick so powerful, upon impact with the air, a sonic boom sounded out. Upon this, winds stirred up, sound cut out briefly and a compressed blast of air would force it's self out, strong enough to send just about anything flying through the air. Jazz was unsure if he had hit the virus or not, landing hard on his prize as it's crystaline structure poked against his body roughly.

Getting back up, the navi began to chant a spell. Closing his eyes, a green glow encompassing his body as he was oblivious to the world around him, Jazz would begin to summon pieces and chunks of earth from the field below and around him. The cold earth beginning to cling firmly to his fur and skin, the rabbit beginning to feel weariness wash away from his body, slowly but surely, his body healing as he accelerated the earth that clung to his skin. As he finished, the chunks of earth that clung to him fell away with little fanfare, dropping back to the earth it came from.

Out of options and low on defence, Jazz darted back towards the mystery data even as his foes, new and old, tried to destroy it – His luck held as the first snowball streaked past him towards the crystal, but missed it by a decent margin. As he prepared his shield and grabbed up the vulnerable data crystal, a screeching sound from above marked the PulseBat swooping in to strike. Jazz felt hte sonic reverberations shudder through him as both his body, and more importantly, his shield, blocked the virus' attack. A moment later, as the defence crumpled, a lance of light blasted back upwards, scorching the bat and sending it flapping skyward again in a hurry.

Moving quickly, the rabbit dashed across the field to slip around behind the sturdy snow fort, coming face to face with the green-clad snow-flinger properly. It looked at him, shocked at having his target so close all of a sudden, before a black shadow materialised behind Jazz and swung a dark blade at him. Fortunately, the strike missed Jazz and his precious escort, but sliced a chunk off the icy shield next to him. The shadow faded, and Jazz was already capitalising on the Fortfighter's surprise, setting up for a massive kick, delivered at point blank range. The impact was briefly satisfying, as the small virus was flung bodily over the hill and far away.

In take a moment to heal himself afterwards, Jazz wasn't quite ready to respond when the nightmare materialised a second time, swinging again from the other side this time; it sliced the remainder of the fort apart, and though the blade missed Jazz himself, it etched a deep crack across the data crystal he was trying to protect. Strike delivered, the Nightmare was forced to warp back to the solitary hole in the ground behind them. Just beyond, on the far side of the hill, a glow of orange and blue light began to rise above the hills, revealing another pair of viruses, one shaped like a sun, and the other a crescent moon, orbiting each other.

It seemed like things kept finding this spot, but Jazz had a clear opening if he went now – the nightmare couldn't go far from its hole, and the new pair didn't seem to move fast. The Pulsebat, above, was flapping and nursing a scorched wing, and didn't look like it was of a mind to pursue if he ran for it.

-=Turn 4!=-

- The Mystery Data is now unlocked and can be accessed!
- Jazz may escape for free and with 100% certainty at any time, and the battle will conclude in victory!
- You can remain to defeat more viruses, if desired, but destruction of the mystery data at any point will still result in a failure.
Panting out, nearly freaking himself out as he took the chance to heal...noticing the massive gash across his prize...the bunny nearly had a panic attack. So close to the finish line, he nearly wound up burning out and getting nothing out of the deal! The rabbit seeing the two new viruses beginning to skulk out towards him. He needed out NOW. A light pinging noise from his PET sounded, some kind of indication. Jazz! The PET's telling me something about escaping, even with viruses around the area. I think you can take that Mystery Data with you and open it safe and sound! Stephine spoke, Jazz's ears twitching at the sweet, sweet sound of "Get the fuck out of there" (paraphrased of course by his bunny brain), turning to the viruses as he picked up the GMD, he proceeded to flip the viruses off with a wide smile on his face. See ya fuckers! Rot in hell you pieces of shit! He bellowed out, turning around to escape from the field of battle, snow covering over his soil, his signal finally disappearing from the field as he beat his feet away. The bunny taking the initiative, would begin to decode his MD, no care in the world as if it were trapped or not, he could handle another fight if it came down to that.

Overview
1-6: Take MD and FUCK OUT OF THIS DISTRICT
*Open MD without untrap*
Taking the momentary lull in combat, Jazz made good his escape from the dangerous scene with his still-intact data cache, and a couple of bounty kills under his figurative belt. Once he was in the clear, he was able to take a moment to gather himself and open up the surviving crystal, which paid up a fairly healthy selection of loot for him – both the spoils he might have expected from such a battle, as well as a sizeable cash bonus.

Sighing out calmly as he got a small cache of zenny, as well as a bunch of zenny from his fight...along with a chip from his fight...in the visage of the dragons he had been offing...well, that was a nice stroke of luck. sending the data to his netop, Jazz began to walk deeper into the bellowing winds and icy snow.

(Battle 2, 200 HP, Bluegon Bounty, Floatshoes)
Happy with a fortunate haul of gains from his previous fight, Jazz moved deeper into the frozen network, seeking more bounties. The uneven terrain continued, though the soft snow quickly turned to frozen tundra across the hills and valleys. Occasional copses of muted greens marked woods, here and there, but for the time being Jazz found himself keeping to the open. It paid off after a short while, as the tell-tale sound of another bluegon roar drew his ears.

As he approached the sound, the rabbit navi found another odd sight greeting him. The dragon he was after was visible atop an empty space, right at the peak of one of four large, iced-over hills. It was rumbling and blowing ice into the air as it wriggled back and forth, surrounded by a variety of other viruses. Odd, was the small golden crown perched atop its head, positioned to draw the eye almost immediately.

At the top of a different hill, another green-clad fortfighter was gathering up chunks of ice and snow to work with, while directly up the hill Jazz was just cresting, another pair of sun and moon viruses were waiting to greet him. Down in the valley, between the four hills, he could also see a large, intimidating metal construct, with a humanoid upper torso and six arms floating alongside it. It rolled on a large ball roller, making a small circle, but then turned and swivelled to look at Jazz as he came into view. The Bluegon immediately roared more loudly, and the other viruses seemed almost to snap to attention.

AshuraidAshuraid (Ashuraid)

The Ashuraid are a new strain of 6 foot tall semi-humanoid viruses with bodies made of durable metal alloys. Ashuraid viruses lack legs, and instead roll around on a 1 ton solid steel ball 1-foot in diameter that rests in a cupola. Rising from the top of the cupola is an alloy pillar that supports their smooth and curving metal bodies. The key defining feature of Ashuraid viruses are their half dozen free-floating arm segments constructed of an indestructible alloy. Three of these arms feature metallic rights hands, and the other three feature metallic left hands, thus they are differentiated. In combat, the virus will ball these hands up into fists, and launch volleys of rocket punches at their foes. The virus' helmeted head rests upon a short metallic rod-like neck with their faces hidden behind a metallic faceplate. The exception being their mouths, which are generally curved downwards in a permanent frown while in the presence of Navigators. It is speculated that Ashuraid are a hacked derivative of the Bladia viruses spliced together with fragments of other viruses and a healthy dose of battlechip program data. This would account for their size, strength, and malicious nature. Where and how this was possibly accomplished is unknown. Ashuraid viruses move and dodge at better than average speeds, although they rarely choose to dodge at all. Ashuraid viruses are ranged attackers, and prefer to hold the range open against their enemies as melee range attacks with their Impacting abilities generally render Counters useless. Ashuraids attack by launching their six free-floating indestructible alloy arms at one or more enemies in volleys of 3 rocket punches. It takes 3 arms to execute a MeteorKnucke attack, 3 to execute a Counter attack, and all 6 to execute their GiantHook attack. It takes roughly an action of cooldowm time after executing a long distance attack for the arms used in the attack to return to the Ashuraid's side. During this time, they may not execute a Counter Attack if they do not have enough arms available. Ergo if all 6 arms are either being used in an attack, or in cool-down following an attack or counter attack, the Ashuraid cannot use a Counter. The rest of their attacks do not require their arms to return to their side. The return feature is automatic, and does not require actions to perform. Ashuraid can move while attacking or defending, and are allowed to counter while dodging if enough arms are available. Setting a counter requires an action while executing one does not. Ashuraid are extremely heavy viruses that will sink like the lead weights they are in liquid, and they know it. They will avoid liquid terrain entirely, if possible, and will never appear near these types of naturally occurring terrain for this reason. Only an Ashuraid's body is damageable. Striking an Ashuraid's floating arms will not damage the virus or the arms themselves, no matter what you hit them with. The Ashuraids will not intentionally defend themselves with their arms outside of their Counter ability, which is nullified by Impact. Do not abuse this.

-=Battle 2, Start!=-
Shivering visibly in the cold winds as Jazz continued to make his way through the network, the rabbit's footsteps light as air as he plowed through the network in search of his next quarry. And soon enough, the dragon appeared forth!...with a funny looking crown on it's head. Well, that was unexpected, but he couldn't help but think it signified something important to the viruses that surrounded it? Okay, lets see...there's a Bluegon...why do I get the feeling that's the same virus I ejected last battle...a giant wrecking ball with arms...and...oh...you two. Guess you chased after me after that last fight. Jazz spoke simply, shaking his head at the virus duo near him, paying them no mind at the end of the day before locking eyes back with the Bluegon, something was telling him the Bluegon was important for something, so if nothing else, he could knock it's head right off with a good attack and see what happens. The other viruses will get attacks against him...but it could be useful for future encounters like this.

Closing his eyes and breathing deeply of the frigid air around him, the navi began to tap into his processors and soon began to start his Soul Cross procedures, Jazz's one-piece navisuit began to fall away, revealing the bun to the viruses ever so briefly before his body quickly covered it;s self up. An oversized pair of denim overalls began to wrap around his lower body, drooping downwards at a point, feet completely covered in the leggings that he wore, a simple white (and oil stained) undershirt in the visage of a "wifebeater" beginning to cover his chest with little in the way of imagination as it clung to his chest as a blue jacket began to slowly come outwards, covering his shoulders and his chest to a pronounced degree. All the while, a pair of goggles began to slowly wrap around his head, one eyepiece lightly scratched from use with an orange tint to them. Finally a red pompom began to sprout upwards from the middle of his head, going up a few meters before finally drooping down with a light fuzz across it's surface, and a pair of tiny black bat wings sprouting from his back, ripping through the fabric of his jacket. Awright. Lets knock off the head of a dragon! Stephine, send me the GigasArm. I'm going Neuclear on this Bluegon and see what happens. Jazz would happily speak, feeling some semblance of warmth covering his body now, the rabbit taking a chance to pull out what looked like a short fuse bomb.

Taking aim towards the Bluegon's territory, Jazz would heft the bomb up into the air and toss it with ferocity. The metallic sphere clinking into the snow after a bit of a distance, the Navi's weapon would detonate before long, a blast of energy, along with some seeds and the like, sending a powdery substance all around it's blast, wind carrying the spores across the field briefly before the spores would begin sucking in the snow and ice that covered across the land. Before long, warm, loamy soil began to sprout. Ice cracking and shattering across the area before finishing after a good part of the field had reformed into Jazz's preferred stage.

Cracking his knuckles and popping his neck, forcing Prose's fight or flight programming down...Jazz brought his feet down and began to vibrate subtly, his body slowly bounding up and down, left and right. Overclocking his systems to increase his movement speed and pace, the navi began to book it across ice and soil, his body practically lighting up in a haze as a line of energy began to trail back behind the horny bunny. Light blinding the viruses as the navi trekked across the field in a straight line, his arms behind him as he ran and his upper body lower to the ground as he charged straight towards the Bluegon King, his body enveloped in a bright haze as he rushed it from the front, jumping up into the air and sending himself flying towards the Bluegon, shoulder out forwards as he attempted to connect with a speed charged shoulder charge.

Finally finishing is charge into the dragon, hopping backwards from the hole and dragon for a brief moment, Jazz began to tap into the power of a raging monster. His fists clenched, he began to channel the energy of a giant roaring monster deep into his fists, his body quaking with energy, displacing rock and dirt as he charged the chip inside of him. Fist beginning to grow bigger and bigger, rocks and soil beginning to fly into the fist he had been charging the energy of. Time to knock ya outta tha park, ya big lug! Jazz shouted as the fist finally finished. Jumping upwards like a flea, Jazz attempted to deliver himself a knockout punch worthy of a street fighter, flames at the edge of the earth-made fist as he attempted to send the Bluegon's head flying off, as the fist cracked and splintered off his own, sending earth scattering across the field.

Landing on the ground, Jazz took it upon himself to disengage from the Bluegon, he wanted to chance killing it now, he wanted to see his chance to kill the Bluegon even harder, but he needed to beat feet out of it's range of attack. His body moving almost on autopilot as he fled somewhat back to where he came from, his body shaking and shuddering , hopping to and fro in an attempt to evade getting piled on. by the king's subjects.

Some of the viruses might have been ones he'd seen before, or they might have been other examples of the same – it was too hard to tell immediately, and Jazz didn't have a lot of time to waste. He promptly opted for more speed and underwent a rapid change of outfit. The fortfighter made a solid-looking shield in front of one of the missing holes, while the sun and moon viruses attacked Jazz directly, but the moon laser hissed into the snow where the bunny-boy had been only moments before, and Jazz was already off and moving.

As fresh soil spread across the hole where the Bluegon currently was, Jazz zipped across to it. As he leapt to deliver his rapid check, however, the dragon ducked away, disappearing into the hole and re-emerging on the far side of the hills, behind the icy shield that its compatriot had just set up. In the valley, the Ashuraid raised its arms in a defensive pose while the fortfighter ran swiftly across the hills to the back hole, assessing the snow there for its shield-worthiness.

The Solarite took a shot at Jazz as the rest of his movement took him across the field to the dragon's new location, but Jazz was easily too quick for it. He skidded to a halt as his oversized fist charged, on the far side to the fixed shield, and as the Bluegon turned in an effort to swerve away from the dangerous threat in its face, Jazz smacked it with all the force and wrath he could muster, driving the virus up out of the hole, to land in a disintegrating heap just nearby.

The fortfighter was holding a snowball, ready to throw, but it hesitated. It glanced between the fallen king, Jazz, and then to the other viruses. In the valley, the Ashuraid creaked and swivelled, then lifted its arms in a triplicate of shrugs. With a small sigh, the fighter hucked its snowball almost playfully at the lunaroid, which dodged around its partner and made an amused humming noise.

The remaining viruses then seemed to lose interest; the sun and moon viruses drifted off to the north, while the Ashuraid trundled away between the hills and out of sight. The fortfighter sat down and began building a snowman, ignoring jazz.

For his part, Jazz had some spoils to collect, now that the battle seemed to be quite suddenly over.

They will avoid liquid terrain entirely, if possible, and will never appear near these types of naturally occurring terrain for this reason. Only an Ashuraid's body is damageable. , Bluegon Bounty +1
Jazz would sigh out in contentment, he didn't think that would work. Alright. Next time I see a Kingie, gonna knock em for a loop if I want a quick win...alright then. Wonder if something else happens with the surrounding viruses...ah well, next time. Maybe. I don't like tha look of those Ashuraids... Jazz mused as the clothing he had created began to fall away completely, cross disengaging as he slowly continued on, lost in thought.

(Battle 3, 200 HP, Bluegon bounty)
With the sudden victory on his last fight, Jazz shuffled off further into the Sharo network after disengaging his ProseCross. Through the frozen tundra, he came back to a flatter region of deep snow. In the mounds of snow, he happened upon a small trickling stream, though further down its length, it quickly froze over as it led to a sizable icy lake. The lake seemed to be inhabited by a single Bluegon, with a small hole surrounded by cracked ice being its home. It seemed to not have noticed Jazz's approach, since it was turned away from him towards the other end of the lake. Snarling at something in its sight, it spat out a few bursts of icy breath towards the end of the lake. There, a trio of frozen-over snowmen were situated, and Jazz could see the outline of an odd red-colored CirKill virus, though this one had two arms instead of one.

The snowman protected the red CirKill from the icy breath, looking like it was no worse for wear, as it then retaliated with a shot of red laser fire from its head, which sailed over the dragon's head. As both seemed to be locked in combat between each other, they were less obliged to pay attention to Jazz. That is, until a viral bellow came from behind Jazz: a pair of blue Swordies had come up on his flank! At that moment, the Bluegon turned in Jazz's direction, and that moment of hesitation spelled out its defeat; the virus on the far end of the snowbank fired its laser again, and engulfed the Bluegon in a deep crimson. The same laser fired off in the Swordies' direction, immobilizing all of them briefly, before they started moving again and turned to Jazz, an odd red glow radiating from their eyes...

-- Rogue Battle 3 Ready? Start!! --
Inhaling deeply as he found himself sandwiched between two groupings of viruses, Jazz felt like he didn't exactly belong in this area, finding two Swordies in blue armor behind him, before...whatever happened, happened. A blast of red energy washing over the dragon and Swordies...they turned to him almost immediately afterwards, so he was kinda trapped at the end of the day.

Battle systems revving up, Jazz would be quick to move, feet lifting him off the ground briefly as he made an attempt to dodge-roll his way out of a potential sucker-punch by the swordies that focused on him, the navi quick to realize what the virus out of the way was...a Meta...and it seemed they gained some new powers, controlling the local virus populations and in turn painting a large target on their backs. You seein this Stephine? That meta virus just mind controlled the other three. That ain't right. Jazz commented, getting to his feet. His body ready to fight back, hopping side to side as he began to tap into his signature processors. Saw that. Whatever's happening on the net these days, it isn't gonna go unnoticed by the general population. Probably explains that "King" Bluegon and the defending of a Mystery Data. The net's changing and we need to adapt quickly, otherwise it's not gonna be safe for long. Stephine replied as she began to flick through their chip folder, Jazz meanwhile setting up defenses. A barrier and casing slowly rising to shield his furry ass from harm, he had several viruses to defang and had no time to waste. You put that IceDragon chip in the folder?Yea? Why?Send it to me. Along with the Boomerang, Dashattack and Bubble-V. Jazz spoke, the two having a quick back and forth before Stephine would send him the chips one after another, the navi focusing his sights on the dragon and the Meta.

Quick to activate the first chip he was given, the navi began his processors in the right way. A rumble from beneath the field as he began to chant in an ancient tongue. Rumbling growing in intensity before came, a Bluegon in the same shape and size of the enemy Bluegon. A snarl from the dragon as it had to share it's space with the enemy, but a moment passed before it tilted it's head up towards the skies and a blood curdling roar would bring out a trio of icicles. Each one flying towards their respective targets, one hanging right over the enemy Bluegon, the other two immediately homing in on the duo of Swordies as the icicles curved and moved about the air distinctly to match their movements, all the while the dragon summoned squeezed it's way back underneath the field to disappear.

Sighing contentedly, Jazz would summon up another weapon to fight with, the navi would create a larger-than-himself Boomerang, a light metallic sheen coming off of it in the winter sunlight as he took hold of one of the handles underneath the giant bladed weapon. Quickly, the navi would hold tightly to the handle with both hands and begin to move about in a circle, feet digging into the snow as he began to slowly garner speed and force, his body slowly turning into a whirling green tornado as he continued to spin about in place, blade slicing through the air until finally, with good timing, released the blade into the air. The weapon curling about in the air like nothing else, slicing the air as it rapidly attempted to careen and slice through both the dragon's throat and the Meta-virus' hide like a knife through butter, the arc continuing to slowly curve as it careened off into the distance, disappearing before long.

Quickly flowing to his next chip, the lapine navi would pull out a simple cape from the ether, the cape made out of the material Fishies were created from. Wrapping himself up in the material, a pair of rudders popping out as Jazz was ready to rocket off towards the Metavirus. Quickly hopping up into the air, the rabbit quickly assessing his trajectory, rocketed towards the virus that had taken control of the others, easy target right? Jazz sent out streams of ice, water and snow all about the sides of his body as he attempted to impact hard against the meta's hard body, sending him sliding, barely above the snow and ice as he came to a skidding halt.

Quickly following up, a simple pistol materialized into his hands. A simple single-shot weapon, but he knew all too well how to use them. Taking aim at the meta, Jazz would look down the simple sights of his weapon, pulling the trigger soon after. A bubbling surge of water flooding from the barrel as compressed water flew out, exploding upon impact with great force, the explosive portion spreading out to either side, a V-shape in the snow and ice at the end.

Strange oddities of the ever evolving net were making Jazz's latest expedition more interesting, but the veteran bunny boy was quick to get to work. Or, he would have been, quickly assessing the scene and requesting support, but the two swordies that had emerged behind him acted with unthinking speed and viciousness, stabbing at him in unison. Jazz was able to dodge one blade, and barely managed to raise his defences in time to block the other. No sooner had her turned his attention to protecting himself from the duo behind him, however, then a fresh blast of ice and frost hammered across his back from the controlled bluegon, stripping off his barrier.

His summoned ice dragon shot a trio of attacks, though the other bluegon curled away from the one directed at it. The other two darted down towards the swordies, with one connecting and the other passing wide. The missed shots curved in the air and came about, trailing frost as they did, but it would be a moment before they could strike again.

In this brief skirmish, the oversized Rapidfire had waited, picking its moment. As jazz summoned his boomerang and planted his feet to begin swinging it, a burst of fire and metal shot forward form between the snowmen. One of the meta's remote bits, wreaked in shattering flame crashed into him squarely; his protective casing crumbled and broke, but just barely saved the navi underneath from a nasty burn.

The force of the blow staggered Jazz briefly, but he was able to recover his stance and swing his weapon about, gaining speed and sending it out on a scything arc. The shot he was aiming for was difficult to nail, with the way the weapon was wont to curve; it didn't quite manage to connect with the bluegon, but the more important target behind, the Rapidfire, took the blow solidly. As the boomerang attempted to cleave into it, however, just before reaching the virus, it struck a previously unseen ward, as flames leapt up around the meta-virus in a burning aura. the boomerang pressed on its strike, cleaving through the fiery field after a moment of tension, but it skited off wild as it broke through, disappearing into the snowfield beyond.

The assault from the controlled viruses didn't slow for Jazz, and they continued to harass him with mindless determination. The Bluegon blasted him with a second fierce breath of frost, and this time he had no protections to cover him. The rabbit took it in the chest, and sent ice and frost flying up as he accelerated into a dash that aimed to bring him into contention with the dangerous meta-virus. He blasted through the bluegon, damaging it badly, and also obliterated one of the snowmen in the way, before crashing with force into the chest of the Rapidfire and driving it back.

Up close and personal, Jazz pulled a pistol, but even as the virus recovered from his first assault, a vent opened and bathed the immediate area in a roar of flame, from which Jazz had no cover. Ice and snow melted around them and Jazz pushed through the burn to fire his weapon. It struck true, drenching and quenching the large virus in a cloud of steam, before the rapid cold of the network misted and re-froze around it. Frost formed, and as Jazz landed on the rapidly melting ice, it reeled backwards, its joints locking up and its options shuddering in their orbit.

Before he could finish it off, a blur of motion obscured Jazz's vision, as the remaining Swordy warped close, putting itself between Jazz and the damaged meta, sword raised high. Behind it, the flaming aura flickered and rose up to cover the RapidFire again, beginning to defrost its joints swiftly. It wouldn't stay locked down for long.

Jazz grunted and almost screamed out as he was pelted with attack after attack, his body damp, crispy and even just a bit singed from the Metavirus. He should have dodged more, should have done more to prevent this damage, but what he needed to do was get rid of these viruses, even if he wasn't in tip top shape for later, he could always use subchips. Fur singed and crispy from the blasts he received, to say nothing of the frost that coated his chest, he had a lot of damage to undo, all the while the blasts of ice were homing in on his foes and he was going to be happy to see them connect, despite the swordy in front of him, arms raised high, blade in tow. Ya think that scares me? Jazz muttered as he waited for a brief moment before quickly launching himself to the side, hopefully out of the Swordy's attack and into some fresh snow he could take a moment on to breathe.

Jazz quickly muttering ancient words underneath his breath, a blast of energy rising around him, cold as the snow beneath his feet, beginning to rise about his body as he took in the power of nature from the terrain. His body slowly but surely beginning to self repair from the damage had incurred from moments ago, happily undoing the virus' work against him, cuts and burns fading away mostly as he looked about. The navi finishing his chance to patch himself up, jumping away from his patch of snow to evade again, the navi going towards the virus that singed his fur earlier, knowing full well what would happen if he did, but knowing that it had an aura to evade damage with, he was ready for this one.

BubbleSpread and Sword, Stephine, I have a virus to cleave away! Jazz spoke out, crouching down as he received his chips lickity split, the navi soon summoning a wide barreled shotgun to his hands. Bubbles slowly moving along the length of his weapon, water sloshing around the insides as he took aim, the navi pulling the trigger as he sent another wave of condensed hard water at the virus for a second time this fight. The attack exploding almost immediately upon contact with the virus or another surface, exploding in a glorious shower of gushing water, coating the exploding point with a wide variety of bubbles and snow upon impact.

Quickly following up, Jazz would toss his weapon away to summon another, a short sword growing from between his fingers, slowly spreading his fingers wide across the hilt that grew within his palm. Quickly rushing the virus, unsure if his explosive weapon had killed it or not, Jazz would swiftly traverse the field between him and the Rapidfire, sword in hand, he would swing the short blade about twice in an attempt to hack and slice the virus up and end this fight.

With the frosty ice locking up the RapidFire's attacks for the moment, it launched itself onto the icy lake, trying to make itself scarce. Jazz, in the meantime, kept up the onslaught of attacks, while the summoned ice dragon's attacks swooped back in and sheared off the Bluegon's head entirely, while the Swordy had its sword arm sliced off. This left the crippled RapidFire to fend for itself, as Jazz restored his fighting strength (+90) and swept in with a wide-barreled BubbleSpreader-powered shotgun. Unfortunately, his hard water shot barely swept past the RapidFire's head, but he was undeterred, and swung his sword valiantly against the very slippery virus. The heat mirages from the FireAura and the ice's slippery surface allowed the virus to barely evade one of his strikes. Then, the next sword slash clashed against the aura and broke through--only for the fire to renew itself with vigor, melting off the frost that had accumulated in the RapidFire's joints. The virus wasted no time in pointing its barrel directly at Jazz's face, ready to fire in a last man's stand.
