The fiery little navi went out to start collecting up her and her Master's share of the rewards, though her cheerfulness dulled faintly when she saw no data left behind by the viruses she'd struck down. Frowning as she looks towards Saluki. "Aww, how come you get a new plaything but I don't!?" Letting out a thoughtful pout she turned her attention over towards the large beast instead. Watching on curiously as Artio took up the left behind fragments.
Soon she flopped down on crossed legs, trying her best to look thoughtful, though if anything she looked more cute and lost then anything. "Master, why do you think those viruses attacked us when we free'd them, and why would they be by water, don't bugs hate water like me?"
"Its possible those cutout navi's were forcing them, though I'm curious as to why they would be doing so. Kari, would you be interested in checking where these things came from. Or should we just continue along our own way and just forget about these strange events?"

Sally closed her eyes and ran he fingers through her bangs before giving them a faint flick. "Cannot wait to leave this network, I have a long overdue makeup.exe to run." Sally really was getting tired of being wet and dried and covered in sand and blasted by wind and water all over again. She sheathed her blade into its scabbard and adjusted the sword belt before it finally disappeared. As much as she wished that she could keep the tool with her; having the chip recharged and be ready for another time was more important.

The navi frowned at the petting, huffing up at the vixen as if she were an older sister or something, and then she realized the thought and huffed out again. "I know they aren't! Just.. ya know, some are kind of cute and look cuddly and I wanna hug em, that's all. Ugh but not those ones, they were creepy bugs! Who'd want something like those around!"

The balmy temperature took a sudden nosedive as a chilling breeze blew by Lucia and Saluki. Artio, with his thick fur, was much less bothered by the sudden cold. The reason for the climate change was unknown but they suspected they had stumbled onto something big. The trio soon found a veritable winter wonderland waiting for them - a stark change in the terrain created a literal border that they dared not enter blindly. The sea had been frozen solid and the sandy beach was now completely covered in snow and crawling with a small army of enemy forces.
There were a few unidentified viruses hiding behind makeshift snow and ice fortifications setting up camp along the shore. Monstrous looking snowmen dotted the snowy field that looked pretty much like normal snowmen with the exception of their malicious grins and massive tree trunk-like arms. Everywhere else, more of the mysterious navi silhouettes acted like attendants to the viruses, packing more snow onto the snowmen viruses and patching cracks in the ice.

Saluki shuddered faintly from the chill; whatever aura of warmth that was given off by her program or the surrounding beach was snuffed out with the sudden winter; like going from room temperature to a walk in freezer. It didn't look good; they were easily outnumbered by a factor of four maybe five. For now there entourage had the advantage of surprise even if there enemy had advantage of terrain.
How could she hush an excitable girl and her monstrous pet? Still she tried to tug the pair down by the ears so they could huddle and discuss their first moves. It was going to have to be a simple and short plan mostly because she only had a light layer of fur and a simple gown to keep her warm; secondly it looked like the strange viruses were really digging in an encampment. "This looks far too unnatural; there are many of them so we are going to have to push hard right from the start. Attack with me and we will try and blitz."
Sally stood erect and raised her paws in the air while Sullen loaded in a slew of chips. Set grass NCP and Aqua Needle was first. Three slender frozen javelins materialized a few feet above her as if they came from the moisture in the air. Particles of water/ice/sand quickly forming the jagged points and the long shafts. They flew through the air singing in the air loudly; her targets where the first three Snowlo's. It was paired together with the terrain change program; grains, cereals, bulbs, petals, and grasses started to flow outwards from her feet to give her party a patch of grass against the sea of hostile lands.
Next shotgun was loaded in and her left arm from the elbow down took the shape of a slender, albeit double barreled cannon. The crimson shotgun was accented and decaled with the navigator's floral crest. She had seen how effective Lucia's shotgun had been on there first encounter with those strange silhouettes and she hoped for a similar payoff. During the blizzard of shotgun pellet fire those metallic tendrils dangled from her right hand; only for a moment before she lashed out in a wicked gust to try and knock one of the Fortfighters into another. She didn't need to actually have them collide she just needed to get them alittle closer together.
Finally Shockwave was loaded in and the heavy pick materialized on one of her shoulders. She hefted it with both hands and in a jump and dramatic flourishing of her gown she struck the panels. A mighty shockwave made a line towards one of the Snowlo's it was a large battlefield with many scattered enemies she just hoped that it might strike another combatant in the coming confusion.

It seemed it wouldn't take Artio to look to start tracking down that scent, though it was quite a surprise when he found his nose half in snow, lifting his head up to huff lightly and start to look around at the new winter wonderland. Something none of them were expecting to see here on the hot sandy beaches. Still Lucia seemed more surprised than anyone at the new chilling air, letting out a soft shiver before those flames about her form brightened up as if to keep her warm, giving a slight unnatural vapor starting to surround her as the air was forced to warm up quickly. "Burr! Wow I thought we were at the beach! Now it's all cold and snowy! What's going on-erp!" He question was quickly cut short by her vixen friend pulling her down, making her huff out with a slight flush. "Yeah, lots of them.. think they want to play? Wait, what's a blitz, is it candy? Can I have some? Ooo, can we go to an ice cream place after this! I want a snow cone!"
Course her chain of questions was quickly answered with her ally rose up and started the assault, giving a surprised squeak before jumping up just after her. "Oh, attack, I can do that!" "Little one, perhaps defense would be the best, allow me to protect you while you give your assault." "Ooo, yeah we can do that. Ok here!"
Lucia turned upon the large beast and threw her arms about him. Giving a tight embrace while a roar of fire quickly surrounded the both of them, and while its effects would not be burning in nature, it was obvious of the action as the wolf found itself fortified in heavy, plated steel and a glowing bubble around him. The wolf seemed content to kneel slightly, offering himself as blockade for the two young navis to take shelter behind him.
After the navi looked up in time to see a sudden gust blast towards one of the fighters hidden behind their own snowy blockades, giving a grin when she caught on and thrust her hand forth, off, in the distance near one of those small creatures, for the moment the swirling bubble of air seemed to only drift beside, until finally it burst with a loud pop. And with it came a sudden blast of air pressure, with luck it would send the think towards its own allies, grouping them all together for a much larger assault.
Stepping back behind Artio the navi's joyful demeanor changed as she set her sights upon her newest goal, the collected group of enemies behind their walls of snow and ice. A shame all their hard work was for not as the navi thrust her hands into the sand. Hissing out softly as a surge started to course its way through the sand and snow. Soon its course shifted and began to form a large circle around her target, a sudden flash of heat giving them their only warning before soon a pillar of flames would erupt within the ring, scorching in a blistering blaze whatever may be unfortunate enough to be caught in her strike.
As she stood up to watch her handy work, a new toy seemed to appear in her hand, something she'd not seen before as the ringlet formed itself near her fingers. Far too large to be a bracelet, the navi had to look on curiously before realizing just what it was far. Still as her eyes were focused on it, the ring seemed to hold within a faint charge, and giving a nod she turned her sights upon one of those paper cutout navis, "Troublesome creatures, building up an army..Take this!" came her cry as she flung the ring over her wolf guard. The ring sailed through the air easily, mid flight it started to spark and come to life in a flickering ring of electricity, instantly picking up speed as it roared towards its target with surprising speed.
While the navi seemed to be content with her actions, her Operator seemed to not deem it enough as her quiver held a soft thunk. A glance back had the navi nodding as she reached back to draw her twin spike tipped arrows and bring them back to full draw in flaming bow. Her sights this time were two of the targets her own allies targets, loosing the deadly arrows to send them flying at two of the snowmen creatures that'd she hoped she could finish off.

Lucia and Saluki didn't even know where to start with this. I mean, did they even know who organized this? Did they have any idea? Any idea who it was? Basically, it was kind of a big deal. Not that it was beautiful or anything. A group of viruses that big... Were they listening? No, they were still blissfully unaware.
Grass grew, AquaNeedles flew and bruddah? It hurt snowpeople (A 20) (B 20) (C 20).
A force of nature blew the two fortfighters closer together (AB).
If you were from where the 1D2 was from, you'd be f***ing dead (C 50).
WOOO! The Shockwave tore through the snow like it was nothing and hit two Snowlos (B 50) (D 50), who were now advancing as a collective towards the navis.
Lucia bulked up Artio's defenses and let the wolf guard her. Two more Fortfighters were pushed closer together (ED). A ghostly flare melted the frozen lake, reverting it back to sea and taking two viruses out with it (B 65) (C 65). One Fortfighter on the ice survived though it was now isolated on an ice floe. Another of the 1D2s was deleted (A 40x2). Two more Snowlos were speared by TwinFangs (A 70) (B 70).
Everything else that was still alive pulled their act together to launch a counter-offensive. The Fortfighters attacked with a volley of snowballs, clearing over Artio's defensive line and smacking Saluki in the face (15). The two 1D2s leapt through the air, over the support program as well, and landed belly flops on the navis (Lucia 15) (Saluki 15). The three remaining Snowlos rolled their way onto the grassy patch and pummeled the wolf mercilessly with their massive wooden fists. The first hit punched through the fiery barrier like it wasn't there and cracked the armor casing beneath it (barrier 20, casing 10) while the second and third set of attacks destroyed the armor altogether (20) (20). Artio endured but was now defenseless and practically surrounded. What was worse, the Snowlos seemed to be inadvertently picking up clods of grass from the new terrain and were undoing the damage they had sustained (C +5) (D +5). One bit of good new was that one of the Snowlo's arms slowly froze up as a result of being hit by the AquaNeedle earlier and didn't look as if it would be able to attack.

With a loud BAF! Sally took the snowball right on the muzzle, making her eyes go wide, ears perk and get a mouthful of snow. It would leave her alittle disoriented afterwards and what was worse; while shaking her head and spitting out bits of snow she found herself get compressed by the body slamming 1D2! Nevertheless her readouts where still healthy and she managed to get to her feet and back into the conflict.
Sullen noticed the short range predicament and loaded in her most reliable chip to date; sword. The pink scabbard and sword belt appeared around her hips and she drew the energized cutlass and got to work. After all she had one electric chip and was saving it for a more opportune moment; figuring that her more prepared ally would have something for this situation. The first lunge and thrust was aimed for 1D2B, followed by a twist of her wrist and a horizontal slash in the direction of 1D2D. Fighting on grass did have its advantages and disadvantages, Sally recovered a teeny bit with each precise thrust and slash but so did her enemies, so it was important to try and wipe them out as quickly and efficiently as possible
Finally she was ready for some payback for that embarrassing snowball hit. Sullen loaded in cracker bomb chip, they needed to destroy the bunched up viruses before their offensive ran out of steam. The beettank-esque bombs appeared in her paws and she lobbed them in a high arc. If her aim was true they should go right over the snow forts and blast the two bunched up virus.

Seeming quite thrilled with herself at how well her and her ally's offensive strikes had been, Lucia smiled while watching over the wolf gone barrier. That was at least until a stray snowball struck the vixen, letting out a faint erk she tried to duck away to avoid any herself, though the sudden looming shadow over head brought her gaze to the sky. Looking up in time to see one of those cutout monsters fall down atop her. A light cry of more surprise the pain came from the fiery navi as she was crushed down upon.
Giving a heave to get herself back up she glared at the creatures, but the look upon Saluki's face said they should be left to her. So instead the navi took on another roll, her dear pet had done his job well, not only had he managed to take the brute of the assault with no real lasting damage, but he lured three of them in right in front of her.
Staying low the navi reached for her quiver, drawing out a single arrow and notching it into place as she quickly rose up to reveal herself to the snowmen. Grinning towards the center of the trio as her orb tipped bolt posed to fire. "Peek a boo! Zap!" the navi cried out as she loosed the devastating arrow from her bow. Her aim was obvious, the center snowman, and at point blank range she hoped it'd not have time to avoid it, for if it struck the resulting bolts of chain lightning that would follow should deal with the other two.
Once that electrical arrow had been launched, her bow erupted in a blaze that surrounded the navi to give her the shield she originally gave her wolf. Turning her sights upon her sword wielding fox friend she couldn't help but give a giggle and wink. Which was quickly followed by her moving in closer and parsing her lips. Waiting, if perhaps a moment longer then what one might expect she let the soft kiss smack nothing but air, and with it a blast of heat would flow towards Saluki. It was harmless in nature, more like it was a refreshing breeze in the mid day sun, shining about the navi to help restore her of her lost strength.
Then all that remained was just how to take care of those creatures far off, animal girl seemed to have the right idea, going up and over those snow forts, but she had no real means to attack from above. Then it struck her as navi let out a grin. Reaching into her quiver once more the navi withdrew, not an arrow, but the shaft of a heavy topped mallet. It seemed to take shape as it withdrew from the impossibly to small quiver at her back, and with a grin the navi crouched low then burst forth into the sky. Aided by a strong breath of nature itself she flew in high arc above the battlefield. Glancing behind her in mid flight long enough to let out a smaller burst of air to alter her course.
Her goal was the loan snow thrower on the far end of the field, hefting up her massive beating maul she let out a battle cry as she started to come down with the intent to bring the hammer down upon the small fry. Artio in the mean time rose up to his feet again, keeping his defensive stance as he set himself between the last of the virii and his new ally, not wanting to let another snowball pass over him again.

Saluki cut down the 1D2s before they could recover their footing and attack again (B 80) (D 80). However, her plan to take out the Fortfighters failed as her bomb flew off course and ended up landing on and cracking up an empty patch of snow instead. Regardless, she healed from her actions on the grass (+15).
Lucia took a shot at the Snowlos and expected an easy victory but while the weakened on was deleted on impact, the other one turned out to be more resilient than she expected (C 80) (E 80). She turned her efforts to herself and her partner, creating another barrier for herself and healing Saluki to her maximum health (+15). She leapt into the air, confident that she would bring an end to the Fortfighter's icy defenses. Her mighty hammer demolished the frozen fortress into powder (2 hits), but the virus hiding behind it remained unharmed. Her attack also had an unexpected side effect as the ice floe flopped over from the impact and sent both Lucia and the virus splashing into the water. Her barrier hissed a trail of steam from contact with the sea but remained intact. The Fortfighter had trouble swimming but quickly began to reconstruct a crude base by forcibly freezing the water around him into a slushy ring. Lucia wanted to stop it before it finished its work but found her attention drawn to a high-pitched yelp she had never heard before.
One of the Snowlos had landed a fierce hit against Artio's back, audibly cracking it and delivering a death blow to the support program (20 x 2) (D +5). Artio's body went limp and collapsed on the floor before disappearing from the field. The other Snowlo set its sights on Saluki and slammed down on the navi with a similarly powerful hammerblow (20) (E +5). The Fortfighter that was treading water with Lucia found enough of an opening to slap a ball of water at the navi's barrier, freezing it into a snowball as it flew through the air (15). The other two landbound Fortfighters retaliated against Saluki's earlier bomb with a pair of snowballs of their own, only one of which hit (15).

The Vixens ears perked atop her head when Artio was struck down while protecting her; only to take a full unmitigated blow herself. She didn't even have time to properly recover from the staggering strike before getting hit with yet another snowball.
After the ringing left her ears and her peripheral vision returned she focused on counter attacking the wood viruses. Her hand gripped the hilt tightly and her wrist turned the blade to a more aggressive angle. Once more and her en guard posture returned; legs shoulder length apart, right hand behind her for counter balance and finally knees bent for action. Her first slash was directed at the healthier snowman, she had to strike it before it recovered further; attempting to rend it in two. Her second slice was directed at the lesser of the two evil's middle; if it could be described as a middle. She wanted to separate it and its arms as payment for its earlier attack. How dubious of those silhouettes to cover those creatures with snow; still in hindsight those massive arms and the grass recovery gave there deception away. It was a shame that they were aggressive wood viruses if it had been another place Sullen might have had a chance to study them.
With the viruses and their own numbers dwindling she could focus on solitary targets and it was safer for Sullen to load in an unproven chip. She used her right hand and death knell to trace the air; after a few seconds dark smoke connected her markings together. It looked like an archway surrounded by a few Gilmore's. It was honestly the first time that she had done any virus summoning, they where something more wild and less loyal then the undead she previously and someday will again control. The Elebee was fired and homed at the FortFighter that was unfortunate enough to be at sea without its aqua body shield
Finally she noticed her ally's unsuccessful attack and attempted an immediate rescue. She sheathed her sword (at least for now) so she could focus on pulling Lucia out of the sea. Long metallic tendrils lashed from her each finger tips in an attempt to pull the Navi from the frigid water. "Do not panic! Hang on" it was quiet risky to try and pull someone from the water, if the girl panicked Sally risked being pulled into the sea as well.

Lucia let out a soft squeal when she realized her intended target was off sight, missing even a little was like missing by a mile when she slammed down against his barricade wall and destroyed the very foundations of the virus she was aiming for.
The result sent the little navi toppling along with the virus into the water, gahing out loudly as her barrier at least did its job in keeping her safe from the splashing waves of the water she found herself surrounded by. "Damnit! I missed!" came the cry as she let out a powerful huffed breath, the sudden blast of air would lift her from the waters enough for her to see again as her fiery bubble burned brightly, restoring itself once more.
This left the navi in clear view of the two other snowball throwers, and with that view came her next assault as she started to draw in the might of nature itself. Arms spread wide before starting to close in and swirl about before her faintly, causing shifts and little swirls of wind to form and get sucked in before her. Stronger and stronger the spiraling orb of pressure became, randomly back lashing at the little navi, slicing cheek, shoulder, even her shirt! Still just as the breach of pressure was growing to be too much the navi thrust her hands forth and sent the spiraling mass of destruction sailing towards the other two blockades, reaching its goal between them both before the violent burst turned the once calm air into a horrific twister of blistering razor sharp wind. Slashing and dicing apart anything unlucky enough to get caught in its wake.
It was then a yelp caught her attention and she turned round to see her noble pet fallen limp to the floor, his pattern starting to slowly dissolve into digital vapors. The very sight seemed to catch the navi off guard, which was probably for the best as her allies own tug pulled her further from the watery hell she'd let herself fall into.
At first the navi could only watch on as her trusted new friend was leaving her behind while her remaining ally turned upon the source of his demise. Still as the initial shock started to wear off the navi went into a horrible fit of anger. A rage that seemed to bubble over and sent the small navi burning brightly within a brilliant inferno of flames that surrounded her form. And with the snowmen being dealt with, and a lone flying bee taking charge towards her previous target, she could only wheel on her heels back towards the tornado she'd just created. Roaring out loudly in her anger as she thrust forth her arms.
Her very pain seemed to take shape as a blast of fire roared across the battlefield towards those two small creatures, scorching down all in its path as those fiery balls of hell were directed at her only outlet.
The rush seemed to burn the fiery sprite out as she soon collapsed to her knees and started into a fit of tears and remorse over the loss of Arty, gripping herself in a tightly curled hug as she started to cry openly.

Saluki cut down the Snowlos before unleashing an Elebee at the lone FortFighter making its fort. It finished building a small slushy wall but the Elebee didn't seem to care and went right through the defenses and stung the virus to a horrible electrified death. Lucia finished off the other two FortFighters with a swirling vortex and fired two Heatshots at their corpses just to be safe.

There wasn't much that Sally could do till the girl had calmed down during that outburst; though the quick turn from anger to despair worried her. She grabbed Lucia's wrists and tugged the girl up to her feet; offering a rather awkward hug if the navi couldn't stand on her own. "It is fine little poppet he just emergency Jacked out. It was quite stalwart of him; I mean it would have probably been me absent if it was not for him" It wasn't the best condolences but it was the best she had to offer; along with a very grim looking smile, the kind of smile that she knew that she was going to fail alone. "Either way whatever we have stumbled upon is big, very big and I plan on going just a bit further. I do not know where but I believe we are close to something." she gave you one last pat before letting you go. "But I need your help"

Lucia was still dealing with the sudden loss of her new large pet when the vixen came over to offer a hand.. paw up. Sort of just limply going along with it until the strange experience brought her out of her sorrow. She was getting a hug, Sniffling and whimpering back her tears the little navi threw her arms around the other fem in a tight embrace. For those few moments she clung to Saluki while listening to her soft, if somewhat awkward encouraging words. Nodding absently until the very end, the last statement got her to ease back enough to look at Sally curiously. "Y-yeah? You need my help? But I couldn't keep Arty safe, you really think I could help you keep going?"
Stepping back faintly the navi scrubbed her eyes against her arm and sniffed faintly a few times. "Well, I would like to get some more revenge for what they did to my doggy. How long do you think it will be before he comes back, I hope its soon."

She would erk alittle bit but hold you while you whimpered, sniffled and clung to her. Those robes where going to need to be cleaned so a few tears wouldn't hurt. "Of course, you are strong; stronger than me. But undisciplined." with a bit of space between them she would try and fix her hair and temporarily reapply her makeup. "Honestly I am not sure, it has never happened to me, it came close a few times. I can tell you that he is going to be fine, the same as he was before and probably just alittle perturbed. Still I have no idea where to go from here. I cannot think of any connections with the strange slew of viruses."

Lucia's mood seemed to shift as more and more praise came from her partner, finally starting to smile again and nod softly. "Yeah? I don't know, you're pretty strong, and you have a really nice sword! I want a sword someday too, only I use a bow, I don't think I can shoot a sword from my bow.." The fiery little navi seemed to trail off and watch the older apply makeup, watching curiously before nodding as she listened in again. "Well, I've never been to the beach before, but I don't think snow and ice should be here, that more like my home network, not like, well a bright sunny place like this. Do you think we could find more about those weirdoes if we look around. Maybe they left like, something behind in the snow someplace?"

She gave a faint toss of her hair; the vixen had a pretty big grin on her face. "You would not believe the trouble I had to go through to get this thing. Hmm but it seems I got a few new chips coming my way." She was talking to herself and to you of course "Just be careful we did a number on the terrain so watch your step" the first place she started looking was where the Snowlo's and the 1D2's where spotted originally. Hopefully with her analytical approach paired with the girls random search pattern they could find something.

As they tracked their way across the snow fields, they found a set of footprints that didn't look as though they belonged to the 1D2s. They were made by a real navi and judging by how calm the pace was, whoever those footprints belonged to was probably in charge of this. The pair continued their investivation by following the tracks and found another a small group of shadows but this was different. They were being directed by two navis clad in shiny white full-body armour, decorated with very specific spotted patterns and a large circular red visor. One of them was spouting orders to the silhouettes and having a hard time of it at that.
"Okay. You're suppsoed to set up camp in empty parts of the net and spread out. Empty area and spread. EMPTY and SPREAD." He repeated, adding hand gestures, "If you get too close to POPULATED areas you'll be wiped out by outsiders. Do you understand?"
The silhouettes looked at the two white navis blankly.
The speaker grumbled to himself, "Stupid Coins... I HATE working with Coins. Useless as f- What? Outsiders? Tsk..."
Lucia and Saluki had been spotted, though it probably wasn't hard considering the two stuck out like sore thumbs amongst the pure white blanket of snow. The two navis in charge of the readied themselves and gave the order to attack. The 1D2s responded to that command extremely well and lined up in preparation to attack.
