The Shotgun struck both Fishies, deleting one on contact and heavily injuring the other. It was subsequently finished off by a bolt from Regalia's cape. Adjusting his aim slightly, he was able to strike the third Fishy with his Widesword but he had clipped its wing and sent it off course. The Zapring he fired missed it, but it also missed him as well as it struggled to regain flight control. The Armadills had spent enough time lining up their attacks and curled into tight ironclad wheels. They all rolled at Regalia, who dodged out of the way of two of the attacks, but only managed to step backwards from the third.

...Fortunately, Armadills had no sense of sight while rolling and that virus also missed its mark.

"Uh, crap, Ironbody? We don't have anything to break that..." Thomas paused for a moment, trying to think of a way around the Armadills' defenses. Regalia couldn't afford that pause, however; the Fishy he had sword-slung would only remain so for so long, so the armored knight flung another arcing bolt of cape-lightning after it as it sped past him.

Regalia paused for a moment, thinking that he was missing something, and a quick glance down confirmed that; he was still barefoot. So with a mighty stomp of his left foot it grew boot-clad, shining silver and gold warding it. And with a second stomp, his right matched its twin's sharper dressing.

"Okay, so, Regalia! I've figured out a plan!" Thomas belted, grinning. "We're gonna wait!"

All Regalia could do was silently lower his face into a gauntlet-clad hand.

Humbug.
LIGHTNING CAPE took care of one of the Fishy. Waiting then ensued, until the Armadills unrolled and moved about again, positioning themselves for the next attack.

"Well, that uh, that worked!" Thomas said, blinking. "Alright, so now we'll, uh..." He sat and pondered for a moment, trying to collect his thoughts; small, primitive strategies danced in his head, and the different strengths and weaknesses of their chips presented themselves, each in turn. Finally, realization hit him, and he knew what to do.

"Oh. I should've sent you that Drillarm, shouldn't I..."

CLAK. went Regalia's hand against his face.

"Uh, aheh, um. How about I just send you that..." Thomas quickly slotted in the chip, grinning abashedly, and began to sink down further in his chair when Regalia interrupted him.

"Send me a sword. And an Areagrab. My armor is not meant for dodging, it is meant for a stalwart defense. If these viruses so desire a fight... they shall have one."

Thomas hesitated for a few moments, mouth opening and closing like a fish, and then groped blindly for the chips and stuck them in at the same time. Click, click.

With a rallying cry, Regalia became a flurry of movement. His cape billowed behind him as he twirled, launching upon one of the Armadills, and a pair of quick half-steps forward brought him into sword range. His hand crackled; a smooth shaft broke the armored skin of his gauntlet, jutting outward into a long cane, and then twisted and thinned, forming the sharpened blade of a sword. It was with this sword that Regalia struck at the Armadill, cleaving the air with its' silver blade. The lightning within him roared forward as he finished the swing, his cape pouring itself into an electric strike all its' own, and then the armored navi vanished, appearing above and behind the second of his attackers.

The armored navi did not swing his sword in an arc as he had before, attempting to cut and chop the foe before him; no, this time his sword held singular purpose as he fell from the air upon the second Armadill. This time his sword pointed straight downward, and its' master aimed to pin the pesky armadillo with his brandished blade. Regalia's weight and the speed of his fall drove the blade downward with a mighty force as he landed, shaking the ground with the clatter and clanging of his metal armor, and the knight paused for just a moment, just long enough to stand, before staring down the third Armadill.

There was a deathly silence across the battlefield. Both Regalia and the last Armadill said nothing as Regalia searched for the words to say. Finally, he found them, and with a roaring shout, he invoked the last Armadill's attack.

"YOUR MOTHER WAS A HARLOT, AND A SWINE!"

An electric arc coursed from Regalia's cape towards one of the Armadills as he struck at it with his cane-sword, deleting it quickly. A warp-speed jump over to another Armadill wounded it quite easily as well, but it freed itself enough to launch itself at Regalia, only to bounce off his armor. Its other comrade rolled at Regalia as well, only to be met by a DrillArm attack that pierced through it and deleted it instantly.

The Armadill to Regalia's side bounced off of his armor-- yet he continued to stand in place, unwavering, even as it breached his barrier and broke his shield, and even when it cracked and dented his breastplate with an unhealthy-sounding efficiency.

His target was dead ahead of him-- dead being the operative term-- and quickly closing the distance to him with its' rolling churning of the ground beneath it. With a slow, purposeful efficiency, Regalia thrust his arm forward, and on cue, sheets and plates and filigree began to peel off of the air itself, welding and slotting and screwing and bordering their way into a giant, metallic drill.

It was too late for the Armadill the moment it had begun its' attack. Regalia hunkered down, stomping a foot behind him as the massive drill began to spin and whirr and turn, and impaled the Armadill as it met him head-on, the piercing potential of his Drillarm pushing it directly between the plates of the Armadill's armored carapace. With a mighty hoist, Regalia lifted the impaled ball of virus into the air, spinning it round and round as he held it above him, shedding flechettes of broken viral data everywhere, and slammed it down behind him The virus shattered on impact, splitting into a million pieces of bright blue code and scattering across the network as Regalia's drill similarly crumbled into nothingness.

Regalia turned to the remaining Armadill. With a menacing look in his eye, and a practiced slowness to his movement, he curled and uncurled his gauntlet, the long metal talons hanging off of the tips clinking together pleasantly as he stretched the arm he had used just prior. With all the grace that an old man in armor can muster, he leapt at the remaining Armadill and-- took his frustration with his operator out on it.

The details of his slicing, sweeping, striking and gripping attacks are better left unsaid, but suffice to say that he did not hold back.

The Armadill sort of tilted over onto its side, curled up and then promptly died before Regalia could get to it. Scared to death perhaps? Either way, a win was a win.

[Battle 3 - Victory!]

Get: 720z

...Then the test terminal opened up to reveal a GMD. Would Regalia decide to open it or not?
Regalia quietly walked over and accessed the GMD, his cane materializing as he plodded over.

"Well, it's a Mystery Data. I've heard about these... they're kind of like treasure chests."
It was a treasure chest... OF TRAPS. A Bandacoon caught Regalia with his passive effect pants down and leapt out from the GMD. It tackled the navi to the floor before scampering away. Regalia was mostly unharmed though his digital purse seemed a little lighter from the unexpected mugging.

Crap.

Lose: 250z
Regalia's irritation was something that he often struggled with, at least when it came to his operator; as such he had developed a knack for dealing with it.

...Struggling with it against his foes, however, was something he was hardly good at.

"Come back here, you infernal nestling!" Regalia shouted, breaking into a mad sprint after the Bandcoon and waving his cane menacingly at it. As he waved his cane it continually shifted between any number of deadly-looking implements as he swung it around-- over what was, effectively, pocket change.

Oh dear.

((Ready for Bandcoon-chasing/battle 4))
The Bandcoon saw Regalia coming its way, and proceeded to increase its speed! Unfortunately for Regalia, after going at a few twists and turns through the Dentech network, he lost sight of the Bandcoon on a long stretch of road, and was forced to give up his quarry. Even better, he seemed to have attracted quite a bit of viral activity, which included some green-bladed Swordy knights from the front and a Catack tank behind them. From the rear, some strange blobs of white approached as well, wearing starry nightcaps and dragging white pillows on the ground.

((You say that like I'm not going to doggedly pursue that thing until I get my money back!))

Thinking quickly on his feet, Regalia calculated and projected out the possible paths that the Bandcoon could've taken, his processors cross-referencing behavioral data that was on publicly available webservers with maps-- both official and user-made-- of the area, and eliminating inconsistencies one by one by one.

Then he set upon a course of action. "Thomas--"

When Thomas responded by slotting in the Areagrab, Regalia was genuinely surprised. "I don't like being stolen from either." He replied.

Regalia nodded and blinked. The world around him had changed, somewhere, in the interim: His coordinates now read slightly variant, and his positional tracker had updated to suit; he was in an alley a couple of streets away, on a path of high probability given what little there was on Bandcoon behavior patterns and viral data. Checking the numbers again, Regalia sprinted off.

1: Areagrab away (As in a couple of alleys away)
2-4: PURSUE BANDCOON! (Escape)
2-day bump.
Calculating the Bandcoon's possible escape routes, Regalia popped up on a high-speed data pathway when he used his AreaGrab, finding the Bandcoon directly ahead of him. However, it seemed that he wasn't alone on the road; a few planes and flaming heads were flying about him, spread out in a uniform formation behind him. It was time for a chase scene!

-- BATTLE 04-2, READY? START!! --
Regalia went from still to sprint in less than a second, letting the Highway terrain fuel his speed as he raced toward the Bandcoon. Faster, faster, faster! As if hearing his thoughts, Regalia found himself suddenly running directly behind the Metool; he vaguely heard Thomas yelling in his ear the combination of chips that were already queuing up in his cache. All of these things added up to one perfect conclusion as Regalia, still mid-sprint, tossed his cane forward and up, and it began to change.

The sound of it was immediate. A loud, echoing, gunshot-like noise that had no place here, no place anywhere, yet danced on the wind like a child. That clung to it like a lover. That became it like an inevitability. Regalia grabbed the hilt of the AirSword out of the air as he closed on the Bandcoon, and with deafening howl brought it, a thousand amperes, and half the air behind it down on the poor creature with a sandstorm's force and half its' subtlety.

Regalia spun; behind him was a pack of viruses, Megalians and Fighterplanes, and all of them deadly. He glanced at the AirSword in his hand, and then hunkered down into a low crouch, his armor forgotten in the face of a sudden plan. A second later he was airborne; a single, solid leap sent him shooting through the air in a straight line, and a twist of his arm brought his AirSword up to part the air before him. He wasn't a navi in that moment. He wasn't a program, or a person, or even a thing.

He was a jouster on horseback. And as he sped towards the Megalians, the air roaring around him like a crowd, his Airsword would be his spear.

The FighterPlanes started to fire on Regalia as soon as he appeared on the field, with some shots catching him before he used his AreaGrab. (5x3) (5x1) (5x2) The Megalians were about to attack, but Regalia was already done with the Bandcoon, and had turned back towards them with a powerful AirSword, which sliced through two of them, with his DashAttack executing one of them easily, as the others weren't in the linear path of the attack. The last one managed to dive out of the way just in the nick of time, avoiding Regalia's last strike of his AirSword. It found retaliating too much of a bother, and laid back for a bit.
