Djinni fell from the sky, embraced in flames, and before landing she could get a good view of the environment. It was exactly as Na'im and herself had seen before from the screens the professor had shown. "These guys could use some intense heat," Djinni muttered to herself, seeing the ground approaching rapidly. With a loud thump she landed properly on her feet while the flames dispersed from the impact. In her right hand was her trusted staff, which she promptly tapped onto the floor. A crimson light shone from the staff's end, causing a piece of the earth close to her crack and form a small hole leading to a fiery hell below.
A round ruby jumped out of the hole, the hole closing as soon as the ruby had reache a certain altitude, and produced five golden rings from thin air. Two around its core and three floating freely above her in a triangle. With the flames emerging, Fhyre came in existance as her fiery self swiftly looked around with her hands of fire on the ground for balance.
"Na'im, we're ready," Djinni said as she held her empty hand against the side of her audio receiver. She took this moment, waiting for the professor's Navi, to examine the surroundings of her current position. Fhyre however decided she felt like being lazy and crawled over Djinni's back, holding one hand on top of her mistress' head and one of each of her sides while lazily hanging. "As ready as we can be," Djinni corrected her statement, while keeping her eyes open.

Indeed, as Djinni had jacked in, the scenery was covered in vines and plants of all sorts. It seemed if would be slow moving from here on out as vines and grass pretty much covered the floor, but it might've been a good thing the the current duo were fire elementals since the vines at their feet started to wither almost immediately at Djinni and Fhyre's very presence.
A blue beam crashed down next to them, revealing a 5' navi of a completely sky blue shade. His body structure was made of mainly spherical and cylindrical parts, and his head was shaped much like a water droplet. The navi's face was covered from his forehead to the top of his mouth by a silver visor with a wing-design. He had two missile-shaped containers of bubbling water attached to his back and a large silver watering pot slung over his left shoulder.
The navi nodded at Djinni, extending his hand for a shake while he introduced himself. "I am Sprinkler.EXE, Professor Rowan's navi. It'll be a pleasure working with you."
---
"A-ah! Yes! I-I'll tell you if there's anything you need to know right away!" Lavender squeaked in the real world in reply to Na'im's comment from before as Rowan sighed, monitoring the screens on his PeT.
"Now then, if you just move further ahead, I believe you'll encounter a group of viruses guarding the first barrier root. Take care of them first, then focus on the root. It'll be wasted effort if you do otherwise," Rowan advised.
---
"Affirmative. Miss Djinni, shall we move out?" Sprinkler proposed, gesturing forward.
In any case, Djinni was here for action, not dawdling, so the trio made their way over to the first barrier root.
---
In no time at all, Djinni encountered a pretty formidable group of viruses blocking the way. The barrier root was straight ahead, and it was possibly 30 feet tall by net standards. At the moment, Djinni, Fhyre and Sprinkler all felt the horrific lag it was causing to the area, making their movements a little more strained than usual. Luckily, this seemed to affect the viruses as well. It was an uphill battle from here... but Djinni probably had other ways to make that easier.
It looked like the vine-covered ground could be a little bit tricky to maneuver on, but that's why Djinni could fly.... right?
"...Engaging targets," Sprinkler muttered, gulping noticeably as he unslung his watering can and held it ready in his left hand.

With a great thump Djinni slammed the end of her staff onto the ground, preparing herself mentally for the combat, while taking in the surroundings and her enemies. She was not fond of the lay-out of the ground beneath her bare feet, but even she knew that there were things she just had to live with. "Ready to go," Djinni said with a raised and confidence in her eyes, but then turned to Sprinkler while gazing at his weapon, "But are you sure you'll be alright? We're here to defeat them, not to make them grow."
"In the end the data is different then reality," Na'im commented to Djinni's question and then a moment of soft muttering was heard by Djinni through the PET's communication system. "You're getting another visitor," Na'im said after a while, "Burt and Exorcist showed up. Her arrival will be soon, so start clearing the place for her." Na'im had ended his instructions and slotted the chips for this fight into the PET while Fhyre prepared herself too.
Knowing Djinni the best from the group, besides Na'im perhaps, Fhyre guessed what Djinni would do and decided to take a firm grip on the situation. But as Fhyre started to move around on Djinni's back, Djinni noticed they were thinking the same thing.
"We've got to take this in the air, huh?" Djinni asked as she glanced over her shoulder at Fhyre. She swung her hand forwards the moment she turned her eyes back to the opponents, spread her legs apart while putting one foot to the back and one to the front and held her staff firmly in her hand while keeping it horizontally across her back. "Time for the show to start," Djinni said to Fhyre with the SP nodding at her mistress as reply.
Fhyre released her top hand from Djinni's turban, making it free for attacks. But instead of releasing her hands from Djinni's side, she pushed them forwards until her hands were to the other sides of Djinni as if Fhyre had embraced her across the chest. For the best way to keep onto the Navi, however, the SP had no other option but grabbing Djinni's assets with each hand.
A frown surfaced on Djinni's face. "Fhyre..." she muttered, "You- Why- No, nevermind." It was hard for her to admit that even she realized that was the best way, but it didn't mean she liked it. At least not a lot. "Let's start a forest fire!" Djinni exclaimed, swinging her staff to the front from her back while a fierce flame emerged from the ruby at the top. With an agile move she planted the end of the staff into the ground and took a jump into the air. Graciously she spun around while she floated through the air upside down above her staff, taking the flame with her hands while kicking the staff over once she had the flames. Still in the air, she positioned herself properly so her eyes could find those of her enemies. Reaching backwards with her arms, she flung her fists forwards and sent a concentrated wave of flames with a fiery fist at the front at one of the KillPlant viruses. She performed this move again, but at the other virus with the identical looks as the previous.
Having performed her attacks, taking time, she had already started to reach the ground pretty fast. Until her staff, now with an even bigger flame than before at its top and capable of propelling it forwards, came blazing underneath her feet while she landed on top of it. Djinni laughed playfully as she went through her legs and sat down on the staff like a witch on her broomstick. "Time to finish this," Djinni said to herself as she commanded the staff to fly into the air. Reaching the ideal location in the air, Djinni stepped off in the air while engaging her own systems for flight as the staff continued flying, took a quick turn and returned to Djinni's hand. With the momentum the staff had created, Djinni followed it up as she started to spin the staff with a high speed. The flame went around and around, drawing the circle of flames that emerged from this action. The Navi took a step to the side, away from the circle while keeping the staff at her side in still motion. A playful smile emerged beneath Djinni's veil as the circle spread out to close its center until a giant plate of fire was floating in the sky. Djinni swung her staff with a single hand to point at the one opponent she wanted to crush still on the ground and quickly 8 bullet-shaped meteors flew out towards the enemies, each having a long trail of fire behind them as they would meet with enemy or ground. Swiftly after the 8 first projectiles had emerged, a 9th bigger meteor flew out of the fire which dragged the entire summoning circle with him to form its trail. Djinni and Fhyre just remained in the air, the Navi smiling and the SP guarding its mistress.

Exorcist jacked onto the net, touching down in a burst of wind. She looked around her at all of the greenery and breathed in the healthy, open air, appreciating the stark change from the confined, stagnant warehouses that she'd been moving through lately. "Ah, this is wonderful," she cooed, feeling the grass beneath the silk-covered pads of her feet. She allowed herself to play with her feet in the grass, until suddenly her foot caught and sent her toppling over. What she hadn't realized was that the ground was also covered in twisting vines. "Oops," she muttered, getting up quickly and hoping nobody had seen.
Her SP laughed, standing over her master and crossing her arms. "Boy, you're really in your element, huh?" she giggled. "Now where is this partner you spoke of?"
After looking around a bit, it didn't take much effort to figure out where she was, since the navi was already spewing flames all over the woody area. Exorcist thought to herself that the navi looked a little different than she remembered her looking. She figured out with a little thinking that it was because of the legs. A small gulp came from her throat as she inspected the see-through pants; she thought to herself that it was a little indecent, but with the outfits she'd been sporting lately, she figured she was in no place to voice a complaint.
Bhikkhuni, on the other hand, watched the little figure hanging to Djinni's obnoxiously bouncing breasts with indignant shock. "W-Wha..." she muttered, crossing her arms across her chest defensively and struggling to stand up. "How can she... they're...!" Exorcist watched her with concern; seeing this, the SP tried to compose herself. "It's not fair!" she grunted under her breath.
"She's got all of your rich, dark skin with none of the flatness or shortness, huh? Ha ha ha! And now she's got an ass too! Wow..." Burt whistled, having a hard time focusing on slotting in chips.
"Now now, don't tease her," Exorcist giggled, putting one hand on Bhikkhuni's angrily quivering shoulder to comfort her.
The operator shrugged, then adjusted his glasses and watched Djinni with a discerning eye. "But you know... they're a lot bigger than yours too Exxy."
Exorcist gasped, placing her hands over her own breasts, which she'd truthfully always thought were too large. Now that the disillusionment faded, however, she realized that her operator was correct: Djinni's were larger than any woman should feasibly have. "Does he... is it good for them to be that big?" she thought to herself with a small frown, nervously imagining the sort of back pain that breasts of that size must cause.
"They're nice alright, but all types are fine~" Burt answered her thoughts with a smile, as if reading her mind. "You're fine just the way you are!"
A stupid smile spread over Exorcist's face, but she quickly corrected it with a small cough. Bhikkhuni in the meanwhile was still shaking angrily, but being mostly ignored. Realizing that she had yet to contribute to the battle effort thanks to all of the breast envy, she shook her SP and addressed her operator. "Alright, we need to focus! Our objective is to take out the viruses and then get to that barrier root!" she explained.
"Are... are you really expecting me to help?" Bhikkhuni asked suspiciously. "You know I can't do much of anything right now."
Exorcist blinked obliviously, then hung her head. It was true that her SP couldn't do much yet, so she supposed it'd be another engagement where Bhikkhuni was confined to the simple task of avoiding hits.
"Furthermore," the SP asked, "isn't it weird that you haven't even spoken to your partner yet? Does she even know we're here?"
The navi shook her head, then listed out some chips quickly to Burt. She took up a paper talisman and began to draw an inscription upon it as she talked. "Well, you're right, but she's flying right now and busy fighting. Don't worry though, we'll get her attention," she explained. Then, brandishing the talisman between two fingers, she swept it through the air horizontally. The paper caught fire and became a torch in her hand before she threw it, sending it in the direction of one of the Viney viruses.
"Woah! I didn't know you had a fire attack," Bhikkhuni exclaimed as she set to her feet, scampering around with rings jingling to avoid attack.
"Hehe. It's nothing compared to hers, though," Exorcist laughed, giving a nod towards their partner. "Now, let's do some weed-whacking!" Grabbing another full hand of talismans, which spread around her clenched hand like a flower, she switched her focus to the other Viney viruses. After a short chant, she released the talismans, which began to glow and spin like a buzzsaw mid air. Slinging back one arm, she sent the blades forward like a yo-yo to try to cut through the vines that composed the bodies of the strange, veggie-headed viruses.
Bhikkhuni watched in excitement as the blade of chi or whatever it was zipped forth into the enemy line. "Wow, what's next?" she asked through her panting as she continued to sprint.
"Now... defense," her master answered, forming a small, porcelain statue of Hok, a fortune god of Taoism. "This will protect me," she winked at her SP after noticing the look of confusion on the girl's face. Little did Bhikkhuni realize that when struck, the statue would release divine punishment in the form of a vicious swarm of bees. Exorcist took the rest of the time to slowly approach the root in the distance.

Djinni started her attack as Fhyre grabbed on and prepared to defend her from any attacks. She started with the Killplants, who, in a hurry, launched seeds at Djinni, but missed by a mile. The seeds lodged themselves into the ground before the KillPlants were eradicated entirely.
Exorcist and Bhikkhuni jacked in at this point, the latter making sure no attacks were coming her way while the former blew up one Viney in an instant with a flaming spell tag.
On another note, it seemed that the vines near the viruses that were attacked were starting to writhe into nonexistence. Djinni built up some power and soared into the air as a portal of flame was summoned above her.
Sprinkler tried throwing his watering can at a Viney while Exorcist attempted to cut them up with a makeshift yo-yo, but both attacks didn't seem to do anything.
"Looks like these Vine viruses can only be damaged by fire attacks, how irritating," Sprinkler commented as his Watering Can returned to him.
A bunch of fireballs, courtesy of Djinni, ravaged the field, deleting two Vineys on contact and leaving one virus remaining. Sprinkler slammed his watering can into the ground, causing pillars of fire to march toward the Viney and roast it completely.
Now only the barrier root was left.

Once the immediate threats had been finished by the assault from Djinni and her allies, the flying Navi started to descend while turning around to look at Exorcist. "It's been a long time, Exorcist," Djinni shouted from the sky.
Fhyre, in the meanwhile, had let go of Djinni's bosom and had dropped onto the ground. Landing on her three hands, she moved her core to the surface and silently remained in place with just her flames moving.
With a gracious step onto the floor, the genie had landed and walked over to Exorcist. First she held out her hand towards Sprinkler as she began to speak, "This is Sprinkler. He's here to assist us for now." She then shrugged with raised hands and sighed. "And that is about all you need to know," she continued, "You know me already and the ball of fire is Fhyre, my SP." Then before Exorcist could act, Djinni approached Exorcist and embraced her while pressing her body against her ally's in an act of friendship. "It's nice to see you again," Djinni commented as she hugged Exorcist, then noticed the presence of someone new. After releasing Exorcist, she pointed at Bhikkuni with a curious look on her face. "And who is this? Is she your SP?" Djinni asked, pretty much figuring out it couldn't be anything else than Exorcist's SP due to the lack of other Operators around.
"While I approve of welcoming her properly," Na'im started as he shifted his sunglasses up his nose, "Nothing has been fixed yet. We still have the barrier to break."
"Well yeah, but it's not like it'll run away!" Djinni commented, laughing happily afterwards as if she was proud of this realization. "I'm sure Exorcist wants to chat and catch up too," the Navi continued after she stopped laughing and turned to look straight at Exorcist, "Right?"
Na'im just sighed and took out a chip from his pack while trying to figure out how to get this into action. Realizing Djinni wouldn't assist in this, he turned to look at Fhyre. "We're here for a task, Djinni," Na'im stated as he slotted the chip into the PET, "Don't forget this is our third attempt by now."
Feeling the chip data stream into her system and getting hit with the comment of her practically being a failure, she nodded slowly and lowered her head a bit. While still facing Exorcist, she extended her opened hand to the back.
Fhyre low-fived Djinni's hand quickly, getting the transmitted data of the chip and turned towards the root. Bringing her three hands together, having them pointed towards each other and still towards the root, she fused them together to form one enormous fiery fist. In a quick movement she slammed the fist onto the ground she was resting on to send forth a shockwave of flames into the direction of the barrier root they were asked to destroy. After defusing her hands, she dropped herself into the lava that was created with the chip while paying attention to Djinni's actions.
Djinni, however, was still processing the fact she was only just called a failure by Na'im. "It's not my fault I messed up..." she thought and raised her head, "As a star I have to trip before I can stand." Slamming her fists into her sides, she turned towards the root and smiled wide. "Hey Exorcist!" Djinni exclaimed as she started to run away from her ally and without warning she dived into the lava Fhyre had created. For a short moment she resurfaced and waved with her staff at Exorcist. "Hold onto this and we'll swim to the other side!" Excited about her own idea, she pointed at the staff before diving under while keeping the staff above the lava.

Exorcist had gotten a feel again when Djinni pressed up against her. There was an awful lot to compete with if she was going to hold Burt's affection while Djinni was around, but she promised herself she wouldn't lose. Still, all of that wasn't much of a hatred of her ally so much as a personal challenge to herself; she was still glad for the company. "Yes, she's my SP, Bhikkhuni," Exorcist confirmed with a small nod.
The SP glared dubiously from beneath her low brimmed hat. "She sort of seems like an airhead... I'm not really sure I trust her," she mumbled, folding the sleeves of her long-hemmed robe together.
Ignoring Bhikkhuni's doubt, Exorcist turned back to her ally and watched the graceful movements she and her SP executed, creating a fabulous stream of lava and then diving right in as if it were nothing. It was quite a spectacle to behold. Exorcist considered for a moment that this may have been her first time seeing lava... it was a surprisingly pleasant looking substance, all juicy and red and bubbly. She had a feeling it would be a little different outside of the net, but the aesthetic was quite nice inside of it. Oddly, however, her mind started straying to other aspects... Questions such as "How can Djinni breath underneath it?" and "Wouldn't all of her clothes just burn off of her body, even if she was fire resistant?" swarmed through her head.
It was possible that these questions were just a defense mechanism to stop her from thinking about her ally's proposal. Smiling stupidly, she stared down at the staff extending up out of the water towards her. "You er... you realize that I'm a wood navi, right? That is, wood is my encoded element... so..." she muttered, looking again at the popping, steaming surface of the lava. "I can't really stand to swim in lava... er... moreover, if I even touch lava, my clothes will burn... along with all of my skin... and hair..."
"No way! No way no way!" Bhikkhuni exclaimed, huddling into a little ball. "I'm not getting anywhere near that stuff!"
Exorcist turned towards her SP slowly, giving a brave face despite the fact that her whole body was shaking uncontrollably with fear. "Don't be afraid. I'll just unsummon you for now and resummon you once we cross," she explained with a phony smile.
Her operator nodded in agreement, clapping his hands together and sending down the beam to pick up Bhikkhuni. "Then it's settled! And cause you're worried about your clothes burning, I've gone to the trouble of setting you up with your new outfit instead! You shouldn't have any fear of this burning unless your whole body is submerged!" he explained with a confident grin.
The navi nodded appreciatively, then slowly looked back down. Her appreciation vanished as she realized that Burt had removed all of her clothes again, leaving her only the white bikini wrap and red fundoshi, as well as the red towel draped around her neck. Her hands scampered across her body as she tried to decide which area needed to be covered most. "Not in front of the professor! And Na'im! Actually, why do we even have this?" she moaned, ultimately deciding to use her hands to cover her reddening face.
"Because it makes me happy, and happiness is the ultimate goal of Counterinfectualist practices, right?" he BS'd simply, pushing his glasses up on the bridge of his nose. "We can't neglect to observe the small things in pursuit of the bigger picture, now can we?"
Exorcist didn't have the mental state to argue at the moment, so she just nodded and tried her best to wrap her head around the current situation. Reaching out with both hands, she wrapped her dainty fingers around the staff, ending up in an awkward position with her buttocks leaning out and her hands clenched around the shaft. Frowning, she slowly moved her body forward until her breasts connected with the pole, then began extending out one leg to wrap around the lower part of the staff. Trying hard to make sure that her feet didn't touch the lava, she finally left her standing position and brought her other leg around the pole, then wrapped them quickly around the metal. Uncomfortably, she had finally settled her entire body onto the staff.
"See? That wasn't so bad," Burt laughed.
Tears welled up in Exorcist's eyes as she watched the lava beneath her. "Hurry, Djinni, please..." she muttered in a deadpan voice, trying not to imagine what would happen if she let go of the rod.

Djinni had Fhyre convert a ford of lava in the area, which destroyed the seeds planted earlier and both dived into the lava while Djinni held her staff her so Exorcist could grab on, which she did... not before changing into some very interesting attire that made Sprinkler and Rowan gag, while Lavender turned away, face completely red.
"Professor Blanchard! Even if this is the goal of Counterinfectualism, I must protest!" Rowan growled, glaring sharply at Burt (-10 FXP) before sending in a chip to his navi.
Sprinkler sighed and kicked up some dust as he warped over to the other side of the lava lake before advancing toward the root.
It also seemed that most of the ground was returning to normal.

With her face veil tightly around her nose and mouth she looked around while keeping the staff upright. It never was easy to actually see anything in the thick lava, even if she looked upwards and was trying to figure out where Exorcist was. Djinni knew her role was just to be the ferry from point A to point B, so she was totally into it.
At last Djinni felt a force of pressure from her staff into her hands and arms, realizing Exorcist had accepted the idea and taken the bait. "OK, so now I get to the other side..." Djinni thought, while seeing some lava shift in motion faster than in other places, "But come to think of it. Exorcist is pretty light," A more solid shape was visible as the lava continued to shift in front of the Navi, making her realize that Fhyre was making a move to the surface of the lava.
As if straight from a horror or action movie, three fiery hands started to emerge from the lava and began to approach Exorcist. Lava was pushed away as the flames grew higher. And then the bracelets Fhyre was always wearing appeared linked to the hands, accompanied by her core. One of the hands simply gave a thumbs up, while another took hold of Exorcist's leg.
Fhyre never had issues with her flames when grabbing things or holding things, but the fact remained that fire is fire. Two of Fhyre's hands maintained their usual intensity, while the one used to grab Exorcist's leg was less intense, the flame almost fading yet still solid for Fhyre.
"Burt. Exorcist," Na'im spoke up after Fhyre took hold of Exorcist, "We'll get you to the source of the problem. We have plenty of fire, so we'll hand you some of ours." He had taken out two chips with identical images from the deck of chips, showing them to Burt in the real world, and inserted them into the PET. "Be careful though," he continued once the process of getting the data to Djinni started, "It's a little too quiet for a task they needed someone else for."
Fhyre was hanging, Exorcist was clinging and the chip data was sent. To Djinni it felt like three green lights went on as she commenced her swim to the other side of the river while keeping the staff balanced as good as possible. Knowing her mistress wasn't the brightest, Fhyre helped a little bit with balancing the staff where necessary. Along the ride, Djinni had processed the chip data into an usable state and sent them to the program of her staff.
The flame of Djinni's staff flickered once before growing in size while the ruby shone more brightly than usual. A stream of fire shot off of the core, swiftly followed by another one, and spiralled around the staff and Exorcist. Once they had reached the proper altitude, both streams dove into Exorcist's hands and transmitted the data.
For Djinni, everything was going according to plan, and having reached the end of the river her SP had made she knew the final act had come. "Time to fly, Exorcist!" Djinni thought, knowing that her voice wouldn't even reach the surface. Holding the bottom of the staff with both hands, she started to swing it around in small circles that gradually became bigger and faster until Djinni gave a giant sweep towards the front in order while releasing her grip on the staff to launch her staff with Exorcist towards the barrier they had to destroy.
Flying along for the ride, Fhyre was still persistently holding onto Exorcist's leg but with two empty hands she found the time to shoot a fireball at the barrier in the middle of their temporary flight.

Burt snorted, crossing his arms across his sweater and raising his head haughtily. "Professor, don't you feel ashamed acting that way in front of your student? It's pretty crass for a man to deny his base instincts like that," he sighed in a superior way, then looked back to his PET. "... I kind of wish we'd thought to bring an areagrab like you did, though."
All Exorcist could think about was fire and burning. Lava surrounded her... fiery hands were coming up to grab her legs... all of this was besides the fact that her body temperature was already quite high due to her embarrassment. She felt fairly confident that her body would simply give out and either melt or be reduced to ashes. Her teary eyes closed hard shut as the fingers of Fhyre's hands began to wrap around her thighs. Rather than feeling painful, however, she noted that the hands were inducing a reaction of ticklishness. She let out a small laugh, then clapped one hand over her mouth and tried to stop her body from shaking.
"What a cute laugh..." Burt giggled to himself, clutching his sweater's breast with his fingers. "Oh, Exxy, I'm falling for you all over again!"
The navi would have much rather been told this after doing something impressive, rather than clinging to dear life half-naked on a metal rod and trying to avoid giggling. Knitting her brow and looking down past her hand, she tried to figure out why Fhyre had grabbed hold of her. She then heard Na'im explain it to Burt. "What?! You can't just throw me though, I can't fly!" she objected.
"Nonsense. Let go of the rod," Burt encouraged her.
Her eyes went back and forth between the root, Fhyre's hands, and the lava. She couldn't imagine letting go, but it seemed that she had no choice; Fhyre was applied the force to fling her. Letting out a wail of discontent, she released her grip and allowed herself to be flung through the air towards the barrier root. She didn't know where she would land, but was determined to get off the shots at least to make the whole silliness worthwhile. Aiming as carefully as she could while the brisk wind whipped against her exposed body, she threw two marked, flaming talismans towards the root. The talismans she'd summoned were pre-marked, of course; there was no way she could do finger calligraphy while flying through the air at high speed.
After all that was over, Exorcist said a prayer, released a little blood, then protected herself by releasing waves of chi around her body to form a barrier. She had no idea if there was further retaliation waiting to come from the root...

"The essence of a human being is logic! ...And I can admit that yours is a bit flawed," Rowan mumbled as steam clouds seemed to puff out of Lavender.
"You ladies done with your swi-?" Sprinkler began, pausing in the middle of a yawn as Exorcist was flung straight toward the barrier root. "Wait! Don't get too-"
Whatever Sprinkler was trying to say was drowned out by the rush of lava for Djinni and the rush of air for Exorcist as the former's SP and the latter bombarded the root with firebolts. The root started to wither on contact. It seemed like there wasn't anything special...
Exorcist flung up a barrier just in time as more roots branched out of the main root and slammed themselves into the ground around the area. One nearly collided with Exorcist, but the force sent her flying on top of one of the branching roots. Exorcist felt like she could get some energy from staying on top of it though.
"Oh no! It's gathering more nutrients from the ground. It'll just reverse all the damage if you don't hurry!" Lavender gasped, panicking.
"I see..." Sprinkler mused as he put his watering can down and stuck his foot in it before stomping hard on the surface. Two flaming towers crashed against the branching roots, disintegrating them, but the main trunk was preparing more...
"Hrm, I wonder if we could just cut it in half," Rowan grumbled, slightly irritated as Sprinkler threw his can on top of one of the branching roots, a rope attached to it, which he attached to a belt and shot himself up, landing on a root parallel to Exorcist.
"Well, it's confirmed that Water and Wood Elemental attacks don't work on this thing. At some intervals it uses aggressive measures, but we're not quite clear on all the abilities," Sprinkler explained as he dashed forward. "So let's try to get rid of it some more!"

"Can't fly," Djinni mused to herself, crossing her arms, "Pfft. Some good force can make anyone fly!" With a quick leap Djinni jumped out of the lava, her body shimmering with a light which enveloped her entire body. On the surface of the lava could a circle of flames be seen, but it quickly vanished while Djinni's outfit changed into that of her battle GMO. The light faded away and Djinni was visible in her sleek bodysuit and jacket, the only thing not finished about her outfit being the mask at her mouth. Mid flight she spread her arms dramatically as the mask formed around her face. "Guys!" she shouted, her arms and feet aflame from her gloves, "I'd suggest getting off of our targets!" Putting force behind her descent, Djinni slammed her feet onto the ground.
Three quick flames emerged from the ground at the same time, near the roots, with the meteor summoning wands within said flames. The fiery chasm they emerged from closed itself and Djinni simply pointed upwards. "I can't stop them now," she said with a smile behind her mask. At the location of Djinni's finger, from the perspective as if she was holding it on top of her finger, was a fiery glow in the sky from the meteors that were about to be used as weapons.
Na'im simply shifted his glasses in the real world. "I figured this was the fastest way to get rid of them," he explained while having the three used Meteor chips in his hand, a small red light at their sides indicating their power being low. "It would've been too much hassle to take them down one by one," he continued, "And that's why... You know... I picked those chips." In his thoughts he would've liked to finish his explanation with a more wise sounding reason, but that was really all to it.
But with his thoughts going towards the battle, he suddenly realized that something was weird. "Did Burt just tell Exorcist to let -go- of a rod?" he thought, glancing at the man for a moment.
Fhyre, already having let go of Exorcist's ankle, was still near the Navi but on the ground instead of the root. Putting all of her three hands on the ground she lifted herself into the air to look around. She knew that Djinni had executed an attack and she knew the roots were there, but her curiosity desired that she'd check the area for other things. It was too quiet. No viral assaults, just a strange ground and roots. There was little Fhyre could do but just launch an attack at something while it seemed peaceful excluding the incoming rain of meteors. All three hands began to spin around each other, creating a ball of fire and then propelled it at the main barrier root that was blocking their path. She didn't know if it would help anything, but it was worth a shot and was still better than doing absolutely nothing.
While Fhyre proceded to plant a hand on the ground to start her movements around the roots in a journey of curiosity, the flames of Djinni's boots formed a trail behind her as she went straight for the sky. "I wonder what would've happened if I wasn't here," Djinni wondered once she knew that she was high enough that her voice would be a mere whisper to the others, "And how did Sprinkler get those flames..."

Feeling dizzy, Exorcist, held onto the branch with both arms and both legs. She flattened herself against the surface, feeling the rejuvenating effects of the green surface. After shaking her head to rid herself of the daze she'd entered, she gave a quick scan around the battlefield and saw that Sprinkler was in a similar situation to her own. Djinni was using rods from a distance to...
...send down flaming meteors from the sky. Exorcist stuck her butt further into the air and pressed her face down against the root, wailing in terror. "Aaagh! I'm going to be smashed and burned! I hope I've lived my life as a valuable asset to Counterinfectualism and that the world will continue onward to the absolution of your ideal-!" she babbled, keeping one cheek firmly against the root while tears streamed down from her face.
"Calm down, calm down!" Burt urged his navi, lowering his extended hands to indicate how she should handle her volume. "I am 100% certain that our friends would not do anything that is harmful to us. I'm pretty sure the meteors won't hit you!"
"B-But what about the branches? Couldn't they still hit my branch and send me plummeting to the ground?" she blubbered, looking down at the ground below with watery eyes.
"Uh... theoretically, but we have the blessings granted by divine purpose on our side! I'm almost entirely 100% certain that nothing will hit your branch!" he assured her, although two fingers were crossed behind him, pressed against the seat of his black trousers.
Nodding, Exorcist slowly rose to all fours, then even more slowly to her full height, using both arms to balance herself. "What should I do about the root, Burt? We know wood and water will be ineffective and we're out of fire."
Burt smiled, adjusting his shining glasses. "We'll go with your specialty, Exorcist: cutting! Cutting this weed should be easy with your arsenal of sharp thingamajigs," he laughed, slotting through the rageclaw.
Rageclaw was a little less than Exorcist had been hoping for, but it might still get the job done. Besides, it seemed that the root was pretty still and nothing was around to attack them, so it wouldn't hurt to take her time. Sticking her tongue up over her upper lip, tensing her eyebrows, and readying her sword-hands, she knelt next to the root and started trying to saw through it with her fingers. It wasn't hard to do, but it felt like it might take a while, even with her chi-powered-super-fingers. The root's circumfrence was absolutely tremendous.
"I hope Djinni's meteors are effective," she sighed, glancing over at her ally. She wasn't sure if anything would approach to attack them, but a mission with no further danger than this just didn't seem possible to her after fighting a giant warehouse golem in her previous one. She kept her wits about her to dodge if necessary.

Djinni warned her allies as she changed into a battlesuit before summoning rods that... called meteors to fall from the sky... Sprinkler, in this case, found it best to jump to the root Exorcist was on and dash toward the main root.
Aforementioned meteors disintegrated the roots on contact, so what Sprinkler did was a good idea in all hindsight. Two meteors smashed the main root, two others crashed aimlessly into the ground, and Exorcist tearfully hacked away at the fortification. Fhyre added some more to the flames with a firebolt of her own.
It looked like all was going well.
"And this should... end it!" Sprinkler growled, holding the sprinkler end of his watering can as the main body turned into something akin to a hammerhead as he smashed it against the barrier root, causing it to crack... and then explode into a million pieces. The vines around the area withered away... resolving the terrain much to a flat surface.
"Hrm Hrm! Good work everyone! There's one more left! And then we can confront the culprit!" Rowan congratulated everyone on their hard work so far.
Well... it didn't look like anything else was coming, and Sprinkler started lumbering off in what was supposedly the direction of the next target so...

"Aaaaah!" Djinni yelled, rather than screaming, as she pointed at Sprinkler while he performed the final strike on the root, "Why are you hogging the spotlight!?" With a quick movement Djinni descended to the ground after the roots and vines had disappeared, landing carefully while the flames of her limbs vanished. "But that wasn't too hard," she commented while walking to Exorcist's side where she had been attacking the barrier root. Looking at her ally, she realized they were both in a GMO form but their roles had obviously reversed. Putting a hand by her chin in a thoughtful pose, she glanced over Exorcist's body from toes to top. Djinni knew how revealing her usual outfit was, but not even she would wear something like what Exorcist was wearing. For a moment she contemplated offering Exorcist her jacket, but decided against it as she wasn't exactly sure if it was possible to exchange clothes of a GMO. With a comforting look on her face, as much as possible with part of her face masked, she put a hand on Exorcist's shoulder and nodded. "To each her own, of course," she said and turned away to walk away.
"No," Na'im commented later after the assault of the root had been completed, "She really would've been burned if a meteor would've hit her." With this short pause in battles, he took the time to recharge his chips and, of course, the meteor chips were some of them.
Following closely after Djinni was Fhyre, dragging herself across the ground lazily with two hands as it was possible now without the vines obstructing her path. The battle was over, she had nothing to do besides consuming the Bugfrags she had in her third hand.
All seemed well along the path, until a short yet intense spark of pain ran through Djinni's chest. After grasping her ample bosom beneath her jacket, halting her pace for a moment, she gasped and panted for a short while, but quickly calmed down as the pain had left her system quickly. Hoping her allies hadn't noticed anything, she just continued to walk on with them. "System check," she commanded her programming, "Efreet, are you there?" It remained quiet, she did not hear the voice she had heard before. While the check resumed, she read the data and shook her head. "Am I... Glitched?" All previous data had been altered, corrected and changed. Including the changes Efreet, her core program, had made to her. However, it did not feel like a bad glitch at all. "I'll have to see how this is'll turn out. I can't back out of this again. I promised him I'd get another Support Program base." Djinni told herself, then reached behind herself and took Fhyre by the hand she had been using for the Bugfrags while walking behind Sprinkler.

Exorcist waved her arms in alarm at what Djinni had chosen to say to her. "Nooo, you've got it wrong! This is practical gear Burt gave me to help me in humid environments! It's functional for exorcisms and it's also a sort of training and..." she trailed off, trying to remember all of the excuses her operator had fabricated to make her wear it.
In a beam of light and accompanied by much jingling, Bhikkhuni reappeared, walking beside her master as Exorcist struggled to keep up with Djinni. She munched on her bugfrags, trying to adjust her tastes to enjoy them. Shivering slightly, as she couldn't help but think of it like pet food, she distracted herself with conversation. Or at least, started to, but then realized what her master was wearing. "What... is that... do I even want to know?" she asked tapping at Exorcist's cloth with her staff as if it was something dangerous.
"I don't really want to talk about it," Exorcist sighed, crossing her arms defensively across her breasts as she hastened her walk. Just then, she noticed something seemed to be wrong with her ally. "Djinni, are you okay!?" she called out, hastening into a run and forgetting the red towel at her shoulders, which fell into the breeze behind her. The SP picked it up and followed.
"Hah! Look at her clutching her breasts like that. That's what happens when you have big boobs; they hurt," Bhikkhuni exclaimed, nodding knowingly.
Exorcist shook her head slightly. "That's back pain you're thinking of," she muttered to her SP, then continued on to her friend. "Djinni...?" she muttered, looking over her ally for any sign of injury as she fell in stride.

Djinni, Fhyre, Exorcist, Bhikkhuni, and Sprinkler marched on toward the next barrier root. It could be indicated they were close by the enroaching vine terrain that lagged the area connection and the abundance of wood-type viruses not native to Dentech.
...At last, they happened upon the second Barrier Root... and of course, there were viruses guarding it. There seemed to be legions of Vineys if nothing else, but Djinni and Exorcist could spot hidden insects and animal-type viruses in the mass of Vineys guarding the root.
...And as if summoned by the fact this possibly couldn't get any weirder, a giant WoodNote viruse popped up in the center of the Vineys, spotting the navis and giving a shrill cry as it pointed its nose promptly at Djinni.
Vines started to slither their way toward the group as the WoodNote disappeared into the mass. It was going to be an uphill battle...
"...Well this isn't out of some creepy biologically enhanced monster movie at all," Sprinkler commented wryly as he hefted his watering can and pulled his arm back in a throwing position. "Get ready..."
"That WoodNose must be the leader for this section! If you take it out, I think the Vineys will scatter!" Professor Rowan suggested as Lavender nodded furiously in agreement.

Djinni turned to Exorcist to look at her in the eyes and lowered her facial mask. "I'll be fine," she muttered, but the pain resurfaced. A pained expression surfaced on Djinni's face, gritting her teeth, while the pain continued. Once again she ran a diagnostical test on her internal systems, but nothing out of the ordinary showed up. All the data shown was, for Djinni, the same as it had been before. "Diagnostics state I'm not in any danger," she said, her voice sounding fairly monotone as if she were a robot. The pain subsided once again and she took a deep breath. "We have more important business though," she continued, her voice sounding like her usual self again. But it was obvious something was going on as an automated command surfaced. In a quick flash of flames, her outfit had reverted to its normal form and yet it was different.
Her face was hardly visible now as a facial mask hid the bottom half of it, while the sides of her head were hidden behind cloth. A long cape was draped across her back and even her sides, hanging over her shoulders. The staff she had wielded before was missing and in its place were two short curved swords. "I can see it's different," Djinni said to herself as she examined the new pieces of jewelry at her hands, "And yet my system claims it's the same as always." Realizing she was talking to herself and slowing down the task they had to perform she decided to think this all through later. "It feels so natural, but different," Djinni thought, feeling the data surging through her system with information on how her outfit functioned. "Na'im!" she yelled as she took one of her daggers and started a sprint towards the enemies, "Machinegun chip!"
Na'im was confused by the new changes as well. "She has undergone another change. Is it another trick of the Efreet program?" he thought while he searched the chip Djinni wanted. This was also something new, causing more questions for Na'im to ask without knowing who exactly to ask. The Machinegun chip wasn't the only chip he had taken though, picking a Firebomb from his pack and slotted both in one at a time. "But is it really a change? It's still Djinni."
The boss lady was going to fight, Fhyre understood there was little she could do in this battle once again. But she could perform outside of the battle. Her core shuffled and turned until it had the Support Program of Exorcist in her sight. It wasn't hard for Fhyre to figure out the little girl was fragile and wouldn't survive long in a mess like this. Bouncing towards Bhikkuni with her hands, eventually stopping in front of her, she drew the word 'GUARD' in front of the SP's face. With another hand she pointed at herself, then at Bhikkuni. Figuring this was enough to get the message across, Fhyre turned around to look at the mess of plants in order to welcome any attack towards the two with her body.
Also taking her other dagger from its sheath, she brought the rubies in the bottom of each dagger towards each other and ignited them. Strong flames emerged from the daggers, which Djinni instinctively used to blast herself into the air above the woodland viruses. "As if I've never done otherwise," Djinni thought on her way into the sky. Once she had reached a high enough point, she spun the daggers around once and stabbed the bottom of both into the cape. As if the ruby colored layer of the cape had turned into a liquid, the daggers went in without trouble and relinquished their flames to the data within. After putting the daggers back into her sheaths, Djinni opened up her cape as she held her arms spread out to the sides.
"I can feel every bit of data," Djinni thought in the middle of her attack, small burning dots becoming visible in the cape's inner layer, "Everything feels so familiar," Meteors started flying out of Djinni's cape, a ripple being created on the ruby surface every time another flew out, up to a total of nine. Not knowing where to start in the mess she saw below her feet, Djinni just aimed her attack in the general direction of the viruses. "I hope Exorcist won't decide to jump in immediately," Djinni thought as she held two hands by her ample chest. After encircling the ruby keeping her cape together with her fingers she brought forth an orb of fire from within it. Holding it one hand, she playfully tossed it into the air before catching it and aggressively throwing it at the horde of plants. Afterwards she just floated around a bit, maintaining her altitude, and looking at the results of her attacks.

"I wonder what was happening to Djinni...?" Exorcist thought to herself, looking over her ally's airborne new form. At the very least, it looked like her pain had stopped. She was putting up enough of a show of raining fire that it was highly doubtful she was in any more significant pain. "I don't understand, but I'm glad she's okay," Exorcist sighed with a smile.
"Wooooah!" Burt gasped. "Another outfit?! How many do you have programmed in, buddy? You're going to have to give me a little slideshow later, my good man," he laughed as he adjusted his glasses to get a better look at Djinni. "But wow, Exorcist, how are you going to fight all of this? There's more vines than I can count and I'm a professor!"
Exorcist didn't have time to question how being a religious studies professor would make one better at counting. "Well, I'd use my swords to help weed it out, but I don't think it's very safe to get close at the moment," the navi muttered, remembering how close she'd come to being burnt to a crisp earlier. "I think our safest plan for now is to be defensive and attack from further away."
As Exorcist and Burt discussed their plans, little thought was given to Bhikkhuni, who was busy trying to figure out how not to suffer a thorny, vine-covered fate. "Aaaah... hgggh..." she gulped, looking at all of the enemies and shaking along with her staff, creating a noisy metal jingle. "What am I gonna do... what am I gonna doooo...?" She searched desperately for a source of protection. Fortunately, Fhyre was willing to offer her one; Bhikkhuni was overjoyed.
She clasped her hands together and beamed with glittering eyes, nodding in approval. "Right, right! We SPs have to look after each other!... You're so kind! I was beginning to think nobody cared!" she sniffled. Fhyre's position reminded her, however, that the reason for all of this was defense. Acknowledging that fact, she took to her feet to avoid attacks while waving her staff high and praying.
Exorcist focused on the enemies in front, then gave herself a slight nick and began summoning up her chi barrier. After writing the protective seal, she burned it and scattered the ashes to finalize the spell. Feeling well protected as the chi formed a field of green energy around her, she prepared her next attack.
The navi grabbed a talisman and lit fire to it as she held it between two fingers. "I can't imagine this putting much of a dent in them though," she sighed, but stayed her course. With a wide arc of her arm, she flicked the projectile out with her arm and then rested grasped the side twist of her loincloth to relieve the heat. "Whew... Alright, now, I have to reason that attacking that big mass of vines isn't really going to do a lot," she thought out loud.
"Don't worry Exorcist! I've thought this one out. Why don't we see if we can trick that big guy hiding in there to come out and attack your honeybomber statue?" Burt asked, showing rare strategy. "Of course, you'll have to turn around and slap your ass at it, but that ought to be enough to provoke anyone!"
Groaning, Exorcist shook her head and resisted. "I think I can provoke it without doing that. Please give me a chance to try," she requested, although she accepted the chip. She still had to admit it didn't seem like a bad idea and she didn't imagine venturing into the vines would go very well. Holding her position, Exorcist knelt down and summoned a RiskyHoney object in front of her, which took its typical form of a shrine's guardian statue.
Finally, she unwrapped the red towel Bhikkhuni had handed her from around her neck and trusted in Djinni's covering fire. "Heeeey, over here!" she called out, waving the red towel above her head as hard as she could. "Yoo-hoo! Over here! I'm fleshy and very ill-protected from viruses!"
"I still say spanking your bottom would get them over here faster, but your choice I guess," Burt sighed regretfully, leaning sideways against Na'im's tall body with one leg crossed across the other and one arm around his shoulder in an overly casual way. "Women navis! What are ya gonna do with em, eh?"
Exorcist:
1) Chi Barrier (120 barrier generated, 15 HP sacrifice)
2) Heatshot @ Viney Horde [40 fire shot, A accuracy + spread 1]
3) RiskyHoney1 set [1-hit wood shield; 5 x 15 wood homing attack, A accuracy, if hit]
4) Taunt the enemies with a towel wave

Djinni decided to whittle away the Viney brush with some powerful Machinegun fire while Exorcist prepared a barrier for herself and assisted in the decimation with a Heatshot. The vines the Vineys sent out writhed backward due to this while Djinni's firebomb blew up another section of the horde.
"Hahaha~ Nice going ladies! Let's keep it up like this!" Sprinkler complimented, hurling his watering can like a Boomerang through the Vineys.
This happened to prompt two Genins out of hiding, slashing at Sprinkler, and throwing Kunai at Djinni, Fhyre, and Exorcist. The first dodged, the second took it, and the third created a swarm of BEEEES, that engulfed one poor ninja to its grave. Sprinkler grunted as he took the blow, but managed to whack the Genin out of the battle with his watering can.
The WoodNose did not seem to be fooled by Exorcist's towel waving antics and proceeded to not do anything. Exorcist was pleased to find the terrain healing her own injuries.
