Inspirational Collaboration

Terra moved quickly around the viruses while Durandal took evasive maneuvers as the approaching Catack fired at him. The geomancer took a mighty earthen fist and slammed one tank toward the Ratton, but hit the Billy instead. The tank dissipated anyway.

Meanwhile, Durandal launched a full assault on the other Catack, throwing one blow, and then another as he burned the virus down to cinders.

Terra moved last, lining up her targets as she blasted a shotgun at one Ratty, blowing it up completely. She failed to hit anything else though.

The Billy started up a fuss and fired lightning bolts at both Terra and Durandal, hitting its mark. This seemed to cheer it up a bit. It seemed the metal Durandal was standing on had made the bolt more than just a sting.

The Ratty fired a scurrying mini-version of itself at the navis, and it was working it's way around...

"Great job, Terra, we've almost got 'em."

Terra was about to comment, but then got struck by a bolt from one of the Billy in the stomach. Luckily, it felt little more than just a sting, but she saw Durandal struck as well, and that made her a little concerned and maybe even enraged slightly. Clenching her fists tensely, she requested, "Scarlet, Pulsar."

"Right away," the operator replied, transferring the chip without much fanfare.

Eyeing the scurrying little Ratton on the floor, she tensed her legs, then sprinted off. Doing her best to catch its attention, she headed for the enemies... and ran straight past them. Her intention was to bring the missile towards the enemies, using herself as bait.

As she did so, the rock-fist she controlled began to split out into large fingers of stone and a large palm-centre, which then started to revolve around the centrepiece. Faster and faster it went, until a sudden sonic blast was emitted from the centre, fired towards the missile. After that, the fingers rejoined the palm, and followed Terra around as she started up some evasive maneuvers. If she was fortunate enough, the sonic explosion from the Pulsar should finish off all the remaining enemies.

"Argh," Durandal grunted as electricity coursed through him.

The Billy's electrical spark sent a current of energy running through Durandal, surging from his chest, down his armored form and into the floor as his muscles seized and locked up. He hoped the floor would ground the electrical surge, but he was denied by the metal flooring beneath him. The current arched from one foot to the other and swarmed back up his body. The Navi dropped to one knee, impaling his sword into the earth in an attempt to guide the power surge away from his body.

"Damn it," Durandal panted. "I was careless."

"It was unfortunate," Katherine agreed. "But you were able to defeat the tank before it could counter."

The Navi nodded and pushed himself to his feet. He had to focus on the positive or else risk making even more mistakes through negligence. He looked up to see the rat virus release a miniature version of itself that meandered across the battlefield. He saw Terra charge forward, moving past the viruses in an attempt to draw them into a group.

"Allow me to aid thine efforts," Durandal muttered. "RageClaw and Cannon if you please."

Battlechip energy washed over Durandal, enhancing his musculature and giving him a brief increase in strength. He tightened his grip on his sword and broke into a run, heading straight toward the Billy that had just attacked him. He rested his blade on his shoulder as he ran, muscles tensing in preparation. As he neared the virus, Durandal swung the sword from his shoulder, swinging down with the flat of the blade like a golf club. He aimed his swing, hoping to send the rotund electrical virus hurdling toward the rat-like explosive moving around.

A flood of golden energy washed over Durandal's sword as he came to a halt. He held the sword parallel to the floor, cross guard near his jaw. The energy swirled around the blade, moving fasted and faster. The Navi thrust the blade toward the rat virus, the golden aura leaping from the blade and soaring forward. With luck, the blast would be enough to finish off the rat or at least knock it toward the other two viruses.

Durandal backed away from the viruses, unsure of Terra's actions. He didn't want to get caught in any counterstroke his companion had planned. He held his sword at the ready, prepared to defend himself if need be.

2. Cannon (40 + Knockback) to Ratton (Possibly knocking it toward Billy and missile)
3. Dodge to avoid Terra's attack

-BATTLE WON!-

Terra had her rock-fist tensely held at bay, wary of any last counterattack. When she ascertained that there was none, she exhaled in relief, and released the rock back into the ground, letting it dissolve back to earth. She turned to Durandal, whom she had just seen struck by the electrical surge fired by the Billy.

Terra slowly looked up and down the dark armor Durandal had on, a concerned look on her face the entire time. Looking up at Durandal, she muttered, "... Are you okay?"

[Battle 3 - Ready]
"I am fine," Durandal said with a smile. "I thank thee for thy concern. I was merely careless and received a heavier blow than I intended. I trust thou art fine as well?"

The Navi sheathed his sword and knelt down to gather up his portion of the spoils. He transferred the zenny data to Katherine, noting the substantial amount. They would be able to purchase an upgrade soon enough. Terra looked healthy enough, so the knight suggested that they continue on.

"Shall we continue?" Durandal asked.

"Yes, please do," Katherine chimed in. "The way you both cover each other and combine your attacks is very enlightening. I think these next few chapters are going to be incredible."

[Battle 3, please.]
Forging onward, Terra and Durandal eventually came across a large area covered in metal panels. In the distance, they spotted several viruses floating along. The pair of viruses were soon revealed to be MagTects, hovering just above the ground. The two pairs noticed each other at practically the same time, prompting the viruses to aim their magnets... away from the Navis. The point soon became clear as each MagTect's magnets drew in a Kabutank seemingly from nowhere. If the tank viruses had been surprised by their sudden summoning, they didn't show it.

Before either group could move to engage the other, the MagTects pointed their magnets in another direction and soon drew in a pair of Gunner viruses, the turret operators being visibly surprised this time. To top it all off, a Boomer appeared right after, presumably having followed the other viruses there.

Relieved that Durandal was fine, Terra nodded, accepting the explanation and turning to move along with the knight. As she walked, a small communication window appeared by her side, displaying Scarlet looking somewhat pleased with herself, and a text message: [You seem to be getting along pretty well with him.] Looking away, Terra frowned as she replied: [I am doing my best to ally myself with Durandal. Isn't it to your favor?]

[Hahaha, of course. Don't be so tense, Terra. I'm just saying, is all. :P]

Terra exhaled silently at her operator's chiding, then stopped in her tracks suddenly. Her eyes scanned ahead, to where two MagTects were floating by themselves. She saw that the two viruses had noticed them as well, prompting her to ready herself into a defensive position. She was about to request for chips when she saw the viruses point their weapons away from her side. Terra was puzzled for a few moments before she saw the reinforcements come pouring in.

"This is troubling," she commented.

Counting the enemies seven to two, Terra didn't need to be told that they were outnumbered. Looking at the MagTects' electrically-charged magnets, she knew that the very ground itself was also conspiring to be a disadvantage to them. Let's take care of that first, she thought. Gathering energy in her leg, she stomped down hard on the metal floor. Instead of a clanging sound, however, a low rumble came from her boot.

The metallic panels then began to rust outwards from her position at what looked like an extremely accelerated rate, which then eroded into dust, and subsequently earth. Some grass began to grow at the edges of the newly-formed soil. A similar thing happened near the MagTects, as a ripple of earth began forming below them. Instead of becoming fertile soil, however, a mix of drought and swamp became the MagTects' home ground. Satisfied with her trick, Terra turned to her operator and sent a message.

[Judging from the large numbers of the enemy, conservation of battlechip data is a must. What do you recommend, Scarlet?]
A few moments passed before the reply came: [Those rolling tanks look pretty weak. I think we can take them out with a simple Shotgun. Sending it in.]

Terra felt the influx of new battlechip data into her systems, then turned to Durandal. Leaning her head towards the Kabutanks to indicate her target, she dashed off to the side, her hand pointed holding a pretend gun. As soon as she had the Kabutanks lined up, she halted her sprint, and pointed her hand at the round viruses. Though there was no gun in her hand, a gunshot rang out as a small earthen bullet formed itself in front of her finger and rocketed forward.

"This is troubling," Terra commented.

"I agree," Durandal said. "I hesitate to see what is in store for us in the future."

The knight Navi observed his opponents, noting their number and various forms. All of the viruses allied against him were versions that he had never seen before. He had seen similar viruses in action, of course. The Kabutanks resembled the Beetanks he and Terra has faced previously. He assumed they would attack by firing projectiles from their long cannons. The Gunners seemed fairly self-explanatory. They resembled stationary gun turrets, perhaps equipped with machine guns based on weapon design. The Boomer looked like it had a curved plow attached to its front. Durandal guessed that it would attempt to smash him flat. The Magtects were decidedly mysterious. He knew that they used magnets and magnetism, but he wasn't sure how it would combine them to attack. Perhaps they would serve as support for the other viruses.

"It seems like these viruses are quickly growing to equal our combined combat abilities," Katherine mused aloud. "I shall have to invest in some more BattleChips or process upgrades for future incursions."

"I am forced to agree," Durandal responded. "We should attempt conservation and move to obtain maximum effectiveness of our small arsenal."

"I'll send you the Shockwave and the Shotgun."

Durandal nodded. Both BattleChips would allow him a chance at injuring multiple viruses. If he moved into a suitable position, he would be able to maximize his chances of disabling his opponents. He would have to move quickly to avoid being drawn in by the magnet viruses and then surrounded by the rest. Plus, the floor beneath them was once more a disadvantage.

Out of the corner of his eye, Durandal saw the ground beneath Terra begin to shift. Once more the metal terrain began to fall away and was replaced by warm soil and grass. The ground beneath the Magtects shifted as well, turning to a pool of mud. Durandal smiled in response and nodded to Terra as she signaled that she would go after the Kabutanks. He would follow her plan, circling around the viruses to attack from the far side from the Magtects.

As the BattleChip data washed over him, Durandal charged into action. He broke to his left, armored boots pounding against the soil and kicking up dirt in his wake. He found better purchase on the grass and ducked his head low as he dashed into position. He attempted to strafe around the Boomer and avoid its plow. BattleChip energy swirled through him and Durandal directed that energy into an aura that coated his blade as he drew it from its sheath. The Navi raised the sword above his head, aura swelling to twice the length of the blade as he poured the Shotgun data into it. Durandal slammed the sword downward, cleaving the air a few feet from the side of the virus. The aura hung in the air in the wake of Durandal's sword, like an afterimage frozen in time. With a spoken word, the aura sailed ahead, a crescent of raw energy hurdling toward the Boomer. If the attack struck, it would slice through the virus and continue its course to embed itself in whatever lurked in front of it.

Dark, destructive energy writhed along the length of Durandal's silvery blade, compelling Durandal to sheath the sword into the earth beneath his feet. Durandal knelt, gripping the hilt of the sword in both hands. More BattleChip energy pumped through his body, a comforting tingle that radiated from his core and reached out to every square inch of his armored frame. He directed the flow into his blade once more, and from the silvery metal into the very earth. Durandal gazed at the viruses in front of him. Most were aligned in a neat row, draw together by the Magtects that that stood on the opposite end of the line. Durandal grinned and tightened his grip. He pushed himself to his full height, ripping his blade free from the earth as he stood. The arc of the sword's path cut a line through the floor and the energy Durandal had pumped into the earth followed that line. A surge of force ripped through the very ground, a shockwave that threatened to rip apart any virus that stood in its path.

Faced with a large number of enemies, Terra attempted to level the playing field by delivering a hard stomp to the metallic floor. The terrain instantly shifted, giving Terra optimal greenery and the MagTects less than favorable hazards. Durandal ended up with his footing being replaced with lush grass.

Making his way across the earthy terrain and back onto the metal, Durandal flanked the Boomer and drew his sword. Swinging down into the ground produced a large wave that flew at the Boomer and smacked into the virus's back. After hitting, it kept going and rammed into one of the Gunners. Meanwhile, Terra moved to line up the Kabutanks for a double deletion. Her attempt was successful, and her finger gun Shotgun attack hit the first virus dead on before continuing to pass through the second and leave neither standing.

As Durandal launched a vigorous Shockwave attack after Terra's assault, the MagTects struggled to get out of the way. The one suddenly covered in sand managed to move, but the one drenched in mud was unable to and was hit hard by the wave. It kept going at a fair speed and passed through the Gunner the Navi had already hit, finishing it off. The other Gunner fired a quick volley at the two Navis, but they avoided it. The Boomer then launched its boomerang in a slow curve towards Durandal.

Durandal readied his sword, widening his stance as he prepared himself to meet whatever the viruses had to throw at him. It turned out that the viruses had a lot of projectiles. The Boomer virus fired its massive plow toward Durandal, the weapon swirling in a slow curve like an enormous boomerang.

"That..." Durandal paused as he took in the unexpected occurrence. "That is decidedly different from what I surmised."

"Well, you know what they say about people who surmise," Katherine responded as she slotted in a few more battlechips. "They had better dodge the massive boomerang heading their way."

Durandal grimaced at the terrible joke, but at least the chips his lady had sent would be useful in such a situation. Instead of dodging the incoming projectile, the Navi charged right for it. Battlechip data surged through his digital veins as the Navi activated the RageClaw battlechip, enhancing his strength. Durandal's muscles bulged beneath his armor as he neared the rotating weapon. The Navi leapt into the air, flipping into a somersault. He attempted to use his enhanced strength to vault off of the boomerang and avoid the weapon all together. With a whole lot of skill and a little bit of luck, he would complete his flip and touch down behind the boomerang.

Durandal landed with his sword in hand, directly in front of the defenseless Boomer. Still using his enhanced physical strength, Durandal charged toward the virus. He swung his sword at the Boomer, blade turned flat in a homerun swing. He attempted to hurl the virus through the air toward the injured Magtect. With luck, the viruses would collide, deleting the Boomer and further harming the electrical virus.

Durandal channeled a surge of battlechip energy into his sword, causing a glowing aura of power to erupt along the edge of the blade. Durandal zeroed in on the injured Magtect and held the sword poised for a thrust. As the surge of energy reached its pinnacle, Durandal thrust the sword toward the virus, launching a wave of energy from the blade that sailed over the battlefield.

Terra saw the threat posed by the turret, and sought to destroy it as soon as possible. "Pulsar," she said, and a touch of a button was all Scarlet needed to transfer the requested chip. As the data sent itself over, Terra pointed her palm at the earth, lifting up a handful of dirt into her hand. She rolled them around in her hand until they became semi-solid balls the size of small pellets.

Bringing up the pellets to her face, she aimed at the turret carefully. Imbuing the Pulsar data into the pellet, she flicked it abruptly at the Gunner virus, accelerating it to bullet-speed with her earth-manipulation. The pellet flew silently, but upon reaching its impact site, erupted with a loud shockwave powerful enough to rip through most weaker viruses.

Not bothering to check on whether she had succeeded or not, she turned to look at how Durandal was progressing. It seemed that her ally was dealing with the metal-boomerang wielder and one of the floating magnet viruses. Sending up a message to Scarlet, Terra expressed her intention: [I would like to assist Durandal in deleting the magnet-shaped viruses.]

Scarlet's reply was instant. [All right. I'll send you the Cannon and Little Bomb. Cannon at the other and bomb them together.]

[Understood.]

With the battlechips' data uploaded, Terra shifted her attention to the MagTects. Looking at the pellets in her hand, she aimed at the untouched virus and gave one of the pellets a little flick. The Cannon's data flowed into the little ball of dirt as it flew, increasing its size tenfold along its flight path and resulting in a cannonball heading for a certain virus.

Without missing a beat, Terra then bundled up the remaining dirt in her hand into one large ball of earth. Power flowed into the ball and compressed its structure to its extremes. Cracks appeared as the ball's volatility slowly increased and turned it into a bomb. She wasted no time in lobbing the explosive towards the MagTects, after which the ball of earth exploded dramatically.

Reacting quickly, Durandal equipped a RageClaw and approached the incoming boomerang. With a precise flip, the Navi landed on the curving boomerang for the slightest second before vaulting off and landing beyond the projectile.

Capitalizing on the opportunity, the Navi proceeded to charge the defenseless Boomer and sink a claw into it before hurtling it at the MagTect in the mud. The Boomer burst into junk data on impact while the MagTect was left near deletion. Terra contributed a moment later by throwing a Pulsar-ized pellet at the surviving Gunner. It was not "surviving" for long.

Before Terra could throw her next pellet, the MagTect on the sand panels aimed its magnet at her and yanked her over. She was subsequently given a light shock on impact, but it wasn't enough to keep her from blasting the offending virus in the face with a cannonball. She knew it would be a bad idea to throw a bomb from up close, so Terra then struggled off the sandy terrain as Durandal's own Cannon wave flew by and narrowly missed one of the MagTects. While the viruses were celebrating their avoidance of the attack, Terra tossed the LilBomb at them in irritation.

They weren't celebrating any more.

"Whoo," Durandal wiped his brow as he surveyed the carnage. "It seems our teamwork is paying off. We have slain far more powerful viruses than we would have been able to engage on our own. I thank thee for thy aid, Terra."

The Navi scooped up his portion of the rewards and transported them to Katherine's PET. He took special notice of the battlechip data that had been left over from the battle. The MagBolt was some form of melee attack with electrical properties and a stunning effect. It should prove to be useful in the battles to come.

"Shall we continue Terra?" Durandal asked his companion. "I am fit enough to move on."

((Battle 4?))
Terra's irritation wore off as she saw the explosive's results on the viruses. Shaking her head slightly, she ran her fingers through her large ponytail, straightening it out and picking out some dirt. She raised an eyebrow as Durandal asked her to move on. Looking at the wounds inflicted on herself and her ally, she was hesitant to answer. If the enemies later were harder, they would have a bit of difficulty progressing.

She resorted to opening up a communication window to Scarlet, and stating their situation. "Scarlet, the battle is over," she started. She waited for a bit to hear her operator's response: "Yes?" Now that she had gotten her operator's attention, she continued, "Durandal and I have sustained some wounds. Should we continue?"

A little while passed before her operator gave her affirmative, "Sure, I don't see any reason not to. We'll continue for a battle or two more." Terra turned to Durandal, nodded, and walked forward.

[Battle 4 - Ready]
With another battle ending in success, Durandal and Terra moved on to look for more viruses. A while later, the two came across a... bastion of viruses. That was essentially the only way to put it. Shielded turrets appeared on the horizon, arranged side by side. Just beyond them was a pair of armored tank viruses that looked like they were raring to go. The most noticeable part, though, was the giant horned head that was producing dangerous levels of electricity.

The fortifications seemed daunting enough already, but as Durandal and Terra got closer they also noticed a smaller but sturdier looking turret virus. They also realized that the Catacks were currently positioned on particularly fragile looking terrain.

Durandal and Terra continued their trek, not wandering for long before coming across what looked to be a viral fortification. Two armored turrets stood side by side, protecting a group of three tank viruses, two he recognized from before, and a large demonic figure that floated above the ground. The turrets looked to be equipped with armor plating that would defy a frontal assault, making flanking maneuvers a necessity.

"These viruses are quite persistent," Durandal spoke softly. "We come upon larger and stronger groups as we continue on. It is a wonder that the NetPolice do not patrol such terrain more often."

As the two Navi drew closer, Durandal noticed that the demonic virus was hovering over metallic flooring. Lightning arched from one of the monster's horns to the next, crackling golden light surging around the virus. Durandal was slightly concerned, knowing what kind of advantage the metallic flooring would provide the virus. He would have to take out the monster quickly to avoid its electrifying counterstroke.

The ElecOgre's lightning reflected off the ground beneath the two Catacks and glanced down. The two tanks were positioned on clear flooring, like the fragile glass he had seen earlier in his trek. He smiled slightly as the realization. If he could shatter the glass from afar, he could drop the Catacks through the hole and into oblivion. A plan began to form within Durandal's mind. It was risky and involved something he had never attempted before, but if he pulled it off he would be able to dispatch both of the Catacks and possibly the demon virus as well.

"I have a plan," Durandal said to both Terra and Katherine. "Terra, I am going to charge forward in an attempt to remove the horned beast from our sights. Await me to get clear and do what thy can against the shielded guns. Milady, please send forth the new MagBolt and the Shockwave if you please."

"I think I see what you are planning," Kat responded. "I'll send the chips, but be careful."

Durandal could feel the surge of energy swirling through him and he directed the flow into his hands as he drew his sword. Lighting crackled along his armor, coursing down his arms and along his blade. The electricity gathered along his sword, charging the very air around him and making his hair stand on end. Durandal raised the sword above his head before slowly lowering it so the tip pointed straight for the ElecOgre.

Durandal could feel the pull immediately, a magnetic surge drawing him and the virus toward each other. The metallic floor beneath the virus sparked as the currents of electricity washed over it. Durandal could feel the pull growing stronger, threatening to drag him across the floor toward the metal paneling. The Navi took one step backward and then another, fighting the magnetic pull. Soon the force threatened to rip the sword from Durandal's grip, lightening arcing back from the blade to surge all across his blackened armor. It was time to strike and Durandal allowed the magnetic surge to have its way. The Navi was lifted off the floor and hurdled toward the ElecOgre, sailing like an arrow with his sword poised to thrust. Hopefully, the added surge of strength from the metallic panels would allow him to impale the ElecOgre and rip through it before it could offer an attack of its own.

Durandal dropped to his feet behind the ElecOgre. He continued forward, charging a few yards away from the viruses before dropping into a defensive roll. He slid to his feet, turning to face his opponents with his sword held ready to block any incoming attacks. His eyes scanned the battlefield, seeking an opening.

The knight channeled the last of his battlechip data into his sword, dark waves of energy swirling around the silvery blade. He thrust the sword into the panel beneath him, hoping he was far enough away from the glass to avoid the aftermath of what he was about to do. He ripped the blade from the earth in a wide arc, sending a surge of energy rippling along the ground in a shockwave. He had aimed the wave at the Catacks positioned on the glass terrain. With luck, the wave would be enough to shatter the glass and send the two viruses plummeting below.

Durandal shifted his stance, eying each viruses in turn. He awaited Terra's onslaught and prepared himself to cut down any virus that still stood.

Silently walking through the network with her companion, Terra hadn't much to offer in conversation. She watched the plain and boring smoothness of SciLab's network background pass by time and time again, though she wasn't really bored. Below the ground, she could feel the spark of activity of many other programs in their not-too-immediate vicinity. Visually, the place was a snorefest. Through her "eyes", however, it was a rave night.

She sensed hostility not too far away from their position, confirmed a few steps later when some visuals came in. Terra eyed the veritable conflagration of artillery with her usual face, contemplating some different tactics to be used. Suddenly, she heard her ally speak- or more accurately mumble. "These viruses are quite persistent. We come upon larger and stronger groups as we continue on. It is a wonder that the NetPolice do not patrol such terrain more often," said Durandal.

Terra cocked her ears at the mention of a "NetPolice". Was there such an entity? she thought. Her thoughts on the subject were quickly discarded, however, as Durandal informed her of his battle strategy. "I have a plan. Terra, I am going to charge forward in an attempt to remove the horned beast from our sights. Await me to get clear and do what thy can against the shielded guns," he said.

She examined the mentioned turrets, and noted their heavy frontal shields. Terra thought back to the bomb she had used in the previous battle, and thought of a method. "Scarlet, do you think a bomb would work against the turrets?" she inquired. The operator thought about it a bit, then snapped her fingers. "Ah, of course, I see where you're going. I'm sending in the RageClaw as well. The bomb isn't enough to completely take them out."

Immediately, Terra felt the familiar surge of battlechip energy running through her body, and smiled slightly. Suddenly, she saw Durandal hurtling towards the demonic virus, and was taken a bit by surprise. She calmed down when she saw her ally land safely behind the Ogre's position, though, and took that as her cue to attack.

Looking down at the smooth white paneling of the SciLab network, she pointed down her palm at one of the panels. The panel quickly shifted its composition to brown soil, and Terra lifted up a clod of earth from the ground into her hand. As soon as she was done, the soil changed back to its original white color. Feeling the texture of the soil in her hands, Terra deemed it satisfactory, then started manipulating it into a highly unstable structure within a spherical shell. It only took a couple of seconds, and Terra wasted no time in hurling the newly-formed bomb into enemy territory.

After that, Terra took to sprinting around the turrets in a half-circle, preparing for her next attack. She drew out some material from behind her to form her usual rock-fist, and let it float beside her. Once she felt that she was close enough to one of the turrets, she let the chunk of rock fly unimpeded at its side, continuing her run as she did so.

Taking the terrain into consideration, Durandal started the battle with a crafty attempt at a MagBolt slingshot. After informing Terra of his intention, the Navi allowed the magnetic pull to send him flying at the ElecOgre. Durandal's magnetic blade pierced the virus effortlessly and resulted in a shower of junk data flying everywhere. On landing, the Navi rolled to get away from the viruses as Terra began her own attack.

The LilBomb landed a little too far to one side to damage both turrets, but one of the CannonGuards took a hard hit from the blast. At the same time, Durandal's shockwave passed through the Catacks' positions and damaged one while shattering the fragile floor. The sudden blast of glass shards knocked both viruses off the panels and left gaping holes in their places. Finally, Terra circled around the CannonGuards and rammed one immobile turret into the other. The first turret toppled right over and burst on impact with the other virus, but the second barely managed to remain upright after lowering its shield. As Terra slowed down after the attack, a cannonball flew by and clipped her leg, nearly knocking her over. The source was apparently the smaller turret virus, which was no longer armored.
