All went as planned for the poor voltman, who pummeled the visored navi with the two blasts, then, when Voltman made his little declaration-
The world went crazy.
"What the HELL do you think you know about this stuff!? It's spread HALF across the normal nets, and throughout every single of the nets. I know exactly where it came from, and you, boy, YOU just had to go and get yourself infected as well." The visored navi fisted straight through the shield, landing a direct punch into Voltman's face, sending even more recovery energy into Voltman. With a shriek of what seemed like pain, the tentacles simply evaporated, and the blackness sank back into Voltman.
"You don't know what the hell you are dealing with. Get that stuff out of yourself while you still have time." The visored navi turned and walked off at that remark, leaving Voltman sprawled there, the final Metool staring at him.

Voltman looked weakly at the navi as he left.
I didn't choose this! He yelled at the rapidly retreating figure, before turning to the metoolEX. He had to heal. And FAST. Summoning a spear, he got up with what little strength he had left, and stabbed it directly into the enemy, pulling on the energy of the spear like akid sucking through a straw before it was in the drink. He needed that health.
For good measure, Shigeru also sent the DBLBEAM, and voltman could only watch both of the attacks desperately, wishing for the good fortune to heal.
Overview:
1. Dodge
2. Aim at MetoolEXD (Accuracy+)
3. Electric Drain to MetoolEXD (70 Lifedrain, Accuracy+ from action taken)
4. DBLBEAM (40 damage or 30 heal)
5. Dodge/Pray

Voltman manages to stab the metool, draining its energies swiftly, but they stop short when the met runs out of its own energy, falling to its component pieces of datum. The doublecube manages to flash a pleasant blue, healing him even further, leaving him at a decent amount of hit points, but then the blackness fills his wounds, looking like ugly scabs for a moment before resuming their original color.

Voltman fell to one knee, panting, after the battle. He had recovered, but that didn't change the fact that he had survived the battle by the skin of his teeth. His wounds were bordering on severe, but he could fix that when the next battle came... Or so he thought. Suddenly, the darkness that had retreated into his back flowed over the armor, settling into the breaks and streaming bits of data comfortably before turning a sickly brown color, reminiscent of dried blood, and changing to the color of the armor around it. But as it retreated, Voltman felt... something. He quickly checked up on the state of the mental corruption, and was surprised to find the masses smaller than they had been. Slightly consoled by this fact, he started walking. As he was continuing on, however, he suddenly flashed back on something the navi said, and repeated it in a soft mutter...
"What the HELL do you think you know about this stuff!? It's spread HALF across the normal nets, and throughout every single of the nets."
He shook his head, now knowing that this was more severe than just himself, before realizing the impact of what the navi had said and stopping in his tracks.
Normal nets?

Ho hum what a bother, a lazy voice rang out. Voltman stumbles upon a rather old looking navi with a long grey flowing bear and a magnificently long flowing blue robe. In his right hand he carries a staff that has a blue gem at the top with a clock spinning around in it. He stares at Voltman with a blank look on his face and sighs.
Very well then, let's start this, the navi yawned, just standing there.
Oh yes, I'm called Chronoman, be afraid, or whatever, Chronoman stated, seemingly half-asleep. Man, is this guy boring or what?

As Voltman stood there, pondering the meaning of the previous navi's cryptic message, he almost missed a figure to his side, who brought his attention back to the present with a lazy drawl of a voice, stating Ho hum what a bother, in a bored tone. Voltman was at a loss. A random navi, looking straight at me, who isn't about to attack? That goes against every piece of net logic I've learned from my extensive virusbusting runs. The navi wasn't done talking, however, and Voltman decided to listen, staring with interest at the gem-laden staff with the ornate clock inside of its crystal-clear depths. Very well then, let's start this. Oh yes, I'm called Chronoman, be afraid, or whatever. Voltman grinned. That's more like it. He muttered, summoning a spear of his own to match his opponent's weapon. Ready for an attack, he prepared to parry, only to be dissappointed once more as he just stood there, doing nothing and yawning. Shaking off the feeling of a trap, Voltman sent his operator a brief mesage. Text only, so the opponent couldn't see.
Metalzone, Markcannon, Bubblestar, and two Zaprings. In that order. Was what it read, and Shigeru nodded, slotting in the chips with a nervous laugh, hoping the navi hadn't been watching their last battle and learning their strategies. Voltman stood tall, his spear by his side, the polar opposite of his opponent's appearance. Alert, awake, and ready for battle. His opponent, on the other hand, looked ready for a nap. Still, Voltman was not going to let his guard down. Striking his spear to the floor, it began to dissappear underneath the base, forming into a barrier around Voltman's depleted armor. The floor was then replaced by a sheet of solid silver material, which expanded past where Voltman had absorbed the area, and soon half the field was engulfed in a sheet of metal. Voltman hefted a large cannon, gripping two handles firmly on either side and resting it on his shoulder. A small square slid out from the barrel, attaching to Voltman's visor, and from it shot out a small laser, which spread into a targeting reticule which sped across the field before reaching Chronoman and tightening on his chest. Voltman hesitated on the thought of a trap only briefly, before firing the cannon. A dull *thump* was all that could be heard as it fired, along with a small whine as the energies within the attack built, before stretching like a rubber band and whipping back to its normal shape at a higher speed, leaving currents of air in its wake.
As the shot was still flying at the enemy, in the few moments he had, Voltman whipped the weapon on his shoulder around to his front, pushing three small blue balls of energy into it and aiming once more, firing them off at the enemy directly after the Markcannon. They flew, spiraling around each other before spreading out and turning into three bubbles heading towards the drowsy navi. Spinning around, one stopped short of the target, and the other two flew around his sides, forming three points of a triange around the enemy before all spinning in at the same time. Voltman could only hope one of them would hit, but he wasn't able to tell through the mist the extra bubbles created as they popped, unable to find a target.
Now, to hit him hard and fast! Let's do this! Voltman yelled, discarding the smoking hull of a weapon and raising two spears in front of him. Between the heads of the spears, the electricity that Voltman began to charge them with sparked and hissed. Soon, solid bolts of energy were between the two spears, which Voltman then willed into small circles of greenish energy, partially from the electricity in them, partially from the stunning power added. Moving quickly, he plunged each spear into one half of the ring, and ripped it in two, bringing either spear to one side. Where the spearhead met the ring, the electriciy split, and moved outwards, using the energy of the second Zapring to expand and fill the lost mass from the split. The heads were soon both ringed in energy, and the entire charging process hadn't taken more than a few seconds. Still, in a battle, a few seconds can mean victory or defeat. Voltman thought grimly, before firing a final pulse of energy down each spear and sending the rings toward the enemy. They flew straight and true, one speeding faster than the other to strike the enemy first, and hold him in place for the second. Shigeru waited until his navi was done with the majority of the assault before asking his navi what had been on his mind ever since he had requested the chips.
Eh, Voltman? Why did you request the weaker chips, and not use any of your signature attacks? You could have torn that guy apart! He finished with a wild gesture of his arms with an attempt to replicate the expression of Voltman's previous victims. His navi chuckled briefly at the mimicry before responding.
Because, Shigeru, we don't know what he can do. At least this way, if he blocks anything, we'll know what he does, but if he doesn't, then we've still taken most of his HP out. And you're right: he could be a novice. But finding out this way is much better than finding out the hard way. He said, patching up final remnants of his armor with small portions of energy from the net. If an enemy looked closely, it could be seen that some parts of the energy seemed to sputter and die in static swarms every minute or so, but Voltman didn't think this navi cared to look closely.
But, after all, it's never a bad thing to appear unscathed this far into the net. He thought with a grin, before turning back to the navi, and hoping his armor would hold up to any attacks. Because right then, he wouldn't be able to dodge if anything DID come.

Oh yes and you have... 3 turns... Chronoman grumbled sidestepping the MarkCannon shot, To defeat me... WHOA! the navi yelped, getting hit by the Bubblestar, then the Zapring and then the other one failed, and was sent back to Voltman, breaking his barrier.
Yes... 3 does sound good enough, Chronoman mumbled, an hourglass appearing by his side. He then lazily fired something from his staff at Voltman, dealing some more damage.

Voltman saw the bubblestar hit only out of the corner of his eye as he charged the dual zaprings, and was sure that they would both hit the trapped enemy and stun him. The first did just that, and Voltman watched warily, waiting for the second to hit and stun him further. He waited in vaid, because out of the fog of dirt and mist the first attack had created flew the second zapring, striking Voltman in the chest and shattering his makeshift armor before dissappearing. Standing, he saw Chronoman standing exactly where he had been before the attack, staff in hand. He hadn't heard the remark about three turns moments previously, too engrossed in his attacks before to have noticed, so he was understandably confused as Chronoman remarked, Yes... 3 does sound good enough. and fired a blast of energy in an unidentifiable attack. Voltman jumped to the side, asking Three what?? before taking the blast in the arm, the force of the impact spinning him like a top before coming to rest on the ground, the armor on his arm severely damaged. Shigeru ran a quick scan, and was relieved to see that the cracking was merely part of the image program; Voltman's armor wouldn't break, only crack in accordance with how damaged he was. Voltman got to his feet, clutching his upper arm in an attempt to stop some of the fragmenting data from escaping. After a few moments, the armor stabilized enough that voltman could remove his hand, but it was dangerously unstable. He went through their list of chips, the strategy he had just used, and the only options he had left. And after all that, he could only think of one plan. One risky plan. But it was all he had. He sent his operator another list of chips.
Powershot, Powerbolt, and Areagrab. Shigeru nodded, and sent the chips. He didn't argue, knowing that there had to be some rhyme or reason to his navi's plan. Voltman held his hands out, palms flat and pressed against each other, clasping a spear between them. The spear began to shrink into his hands as he sent pulses of power into it, turning it into a swirling ball of blue energy. He brought the energy back, crouching slightly, before outstretching his arms toward the enemy. From the orb emerged a giant blue beam of energy, which remained for a moment before dissipating at once, only a few blue flares squirreling about in its wake. Not finished, Voltman threw a spear high into the air where it began to glow a white-blue, the same color as the beam that had flew out moments previously. Voltman gathered small balls of energy in his hands, throwing them one after another towards the spear. As they flew, they gravitated towards the head of the spear, melting into the head and increasing the intensity of the light. Finally, when Voltman thought it ready, he made a downward slashing motion with his open hand, and the spear followed, plunging into the ground as a beam of blue light. A breathless second passed, and then another, as the attack made its way through the ground to underneath Chronoman. The ground underneath his feet didn't even crack, but just let the attack pass through unfazed, a massive pillar of light that obscured Chronoman from view. And as the attack dissappeared, Voltman was nowhere to be found.
...Wait, what?
Shigeru scanned the field, but his navi was missing from the battle. Rewinding his video of the battle a few moments, he saw Voltman's form turn into a negative image, and a blur shoot out of it, before the attack had even finished. And sure enough, Voltman had dissappeared from the battlefield. If one managed to slow time down to fractions of pieces of miniscule parts of a second, they would have managed to glimpse Voltman as the time-freezing areagrab took effect, effectively giving him enough time to move behind his opponent before he had even realized Voltman had dissappeared (presumably not a difficult task, considering how alert he appeared).
From Voltman's perspective, deep sounds began to reach his ears, and he realized that the warp was wearing off. Without much time to spare, he summoned a spear, and chipped off a small piece of his armor near his wrist, pulling at the data underneath until it formed a rope-like material, which he fused with the end of the spear. Snapping the end of it from his wrist, he fused the second end with his own emblem, the heart of his programming from which the core data controlled all aspects of his person, including healing. With only a shred of time left in it, Voltman deactivated the warp, and plunged the spear directly at his enemy's back, already beginning the pull of electricity through the spear that would heal him if the attack connected. He dismissed the solid data connection to the spear, keeping the flow of energy intact, and jumped backwards as the intense enery present in the weapon discharged through the head all at once, showering the area in a magnificent blast of electricity. Grinning, he prepared to dodge anything the enemy had to throw at him.

Chronoman is really distracted, therefore, LIEFDWAIN! DOUBLING UP WITH METAL! Chronoman fires another blast at Voltman, but only breaks his barrier. Grunting again, he fires another, but Voltman dodges.

(Lifedrain invokes healing.
Also, my muse is only working reluctantly against an enemy with 40 HP. So, somewhat uninspired post.
Okay, the strategy is blatant slashing. But what's wrong with that?
Also, this post was hurried. Please, don't punish my navi too badly for my lack of time, RS.)
Voltman drained Chronoman's life through the spear, converting the shattered and shocked data into healing energy he could use. Or at least, starting to. For some reason, the processes controlling his lifedrain function seemed to be acting slower than normal. He shrugged. Ah, well. I'll just have to let it run its course. Meanwhile... He thought, a malicious glint in his eye as he stared at the opponent, and his meager remaining HP count. The firesword appeared on his wrist by Shigeru's use of the chip in a burst of flame, and Voltman crouched low as the energy from the net protected him once more. Glaring at Chronoman, Voltman only said one thing.
You're finished.
Then, he charged, slashing with pinpoint accuracy at the drowsy navi. Fire filled the air and a red tint engulfed the metal terrain, as Voltman unleashed his deadly barrage.
But was it over?

Very good, Chronoman sighed as Voltman was on mark. You have proven yourself to be quite powerful. He brushed himself off and yawned. You know, I think that woke me up a bit, here, have this. Chronoman said, a tiny bit more lively, not much though. A bag hit Voltman in the head, (1) and when the electric navi woke up, nothing could be seen.

Voltman grinned as the navi's HP reached zero, but he realized in a moment that it was only a fraction of his full HP. His thoughts were interrupted by a large bag of zennies falling on his head, evening out his HP, but Voltman wasn't a "glass half-empty" kind of guy, so he took the zennies with a grin and continued.

((I just came up with this today, I think it's a piece of crap. :/))
Voltman wanders farther into the net and finds areas of crackling electricity dangerously... well, crackling.
"SHOOP DA WOOP!" a voice screamed girlishly.
By instinct, Voltman ducks as a giant purple beam blasts over his head. He looks up to find...
A purple colored Prog.
Its usually cheerfully face seems to be replaced by two bug-eyes (O_O) and a wide open mouth with fat. red. lips.
"IMMA CHARGIN MAH LAZER!" the prog roars, a light shining in its mouth, signaling that it was, indeed, "charging its laser."

(My god, two internet meme fights in a single jack-in. AM I LUCKY, OR WHAT!)
Voltman had only barely transported the large bag of zennies to Shigeru before he came across a section of the net that seemed stranger than most. Here and there, patches of excited data spewed electricity into the air, showering the area with sparks. He raised his arm, shielding his eyes as a wave of electricity floated in the direction from which he had come. Odd, He thought, That the random pulses of electricity would all go in the same direction. Voltman would have continued on, ignoring this inconsistency, had a high-pitched yell not come from behind him as he turned to leave.
SHOOP DA WOOP!
As he heard this strange cry, Voltman took the simplest and most logical course of action in the modern net. He ducked. Just in time, as it turned out, as a purple beam of unstable energy erupted over his head. Rolling onto his back, Voltman got his first look at his opponent, even if it took him a few moments to understand what he was seeing. A Mr. Prog, colored purple, with hideous features replacing its normally cheery smile and eyes. He blinked a few times, trying to understand what he was seeing, before simply giving up. There was no explanation he could think of.
Shigeru, I don't know what this is, and I don't know how it got here. Suggestions? Voltman stated with a barely concealed grin. Summoning a spear and tapping it against the ground, he signaled a current of electricity that washed over his armor to give him a small amount of protection from attacks.
Shigeru returned the grin. You have to ask? Metalzone, Zapring, double slot-in! He replied, sending the favored data to his navi. Voltman spun the spear around so the head pointed to the ground, and plunged it deep into the ground. His eyes flared briefly as he activated a chip, and the energy shot down the spear into the ground in a pulse of energy that caused the weapon to spark as it overloaded briefly. From where it was imbedded in the ground, the spear sent out a wave of silver, which covered wherever it flowed and eventually stopped as its material ran out. Ripping it out of the new metal terrain, Voltman sent a charge through the net as an intimidation factor, before the prog spoke again.
IMMAH CHARGIN' MAH LAZER!
Another purple glow began to shine in its mouth, signaling that it was charging another one of the lasers that had just missed Voltman. Grimacing, he knew that his time was just about up, and that he had to attack to survive. His spear's head sparked to life as the Zapring activated, and a ring of energy grew around the glowing point. He took brief aim at the program, before firing it off, adding a small amount of his own electricity to the blast. He jumped to the side after firing it, however, as the enemy might have fired the blast while he had been preparing his attack.
Alright, ugly, let's see if you're shockproof! Voltman taunted, converting the spear in his hand into the pure electricity from which it had been formed. Letting it float between his palms, Voltman concentrated his energy into the attack, and the fairly large orb began to expand, soon engulfing his hands in its energy, giving him leverage to throw it with. Swinging his hands around with the orb attached, Voltman wound up and threw the blast at the enemy, the energy released when his hands broke free propelling it at a high speed towards the deformed program. Stunning energy crackled loudly in the second or so while the gap between the attack and the enemy closed, but Voltman paid it no heed. Dodging again, he watched the Mr. Prog closely, careful of any incoming attacks. Shigeru, who had no need to worry about the attacks, was instead focusing on the Mr. Prog himself.

"IMMA-" the prog shouted, before it was blasted by Voltman, and effectively stunned.
"OOPS! I SWALLOWED MAH LAZER!" the prog bellowed. But it seemed like he had some kind of taco in his mouth that he swallowed, not a laser. Where the hell did that taco come from? This seemed to have some sort of recovery effect on him, as the electrical damage in the form of burns on the prog seemed to slightly fade.
Again, the prog yelled, "IMMA CHARGIN' MAH LAZER!" the insides of his mouth glowing.

(This is quite the amusing enemy, actually, RS.
Also, yay for future subplot development! Turns out Voltman was created to be a deleting machine!
Eh... yay?)
The charging attack stopped briefly as the stun from the zapring spread across the enemy's body, before fading away and letting the enemy continue its attack. Grimacing at the thought of what would happen, Voltman charged up one of his signature moves in hopes that it might stop the enemy cold. The mouth opened up further, and the laser's light began to emerge, among a cry of IMMA-, but got no farther as a massive blast of stunning energy connected with its body, dissipating the blast. Voltman suddenly closed his eyes, clutching his head. It felt like it was being squeezed in a vice, before Voltman opened his eyes to see... a taco?
Shigeru shook his head. He cold have SWORN that he had seen something just like this not hours, or even minutes, prevously. But where? Where is this thing from? How do I recognize this? Why is it so familiar? He was about to get another hint, as the monstrosity spoke once more.
OOPS! I SWALLOWED MAH LAZER! The prog announced, swallowing the reality-bent taco and healing slightly, the burns caused by his attacks fading ever so slightly. Voltman shook his head. This thing was odd, but it definitely wasn't an inept fighter. The healing power and attack strength revealed that. It was time to bring in the combo attacks. Voltman turned to his operator, speaking aloud as the Mr. Prog yelled out (once again) IMMA CHARGIN' MAH LAZER!. Standing there for a moment, speechless at the rediculousness of this new foe, Voltman shook his head in an attempt to clear his thoughts, and spoke to Shigeru, as the net yielded yet another power barrier to reinforce his own armor.
Alright, it's time to stop messing around. Bubblestar, Areagrab, and Firesword. He said, his voice pulling up the icons of the three chips on Shigeru's holoscreen. His operator nodded, pulling the three chips out of his pocket.
Triple slot-in! Go show him what you're made of! He cheered as the data transferred to Voltman, a small metool dissappearing down a pipe as a visual for the completed download appearing in the corner of the screen. Voltman's first action was to wave his right hand around in front of his torso, slashing through the air as if he could cut the very fabric of the net. But, instead of that happening, after a moment the tips of the armor on his fingers began to glow blue, and with three slashes he created three bubbles. Bringing his hand back, he jammed his hand through the center of the revolving circle of bubbles, fingers extended, and by some unseen force sent the liquid attacks flying at his opponent. When they reached the enemy, they circled it quickly like Spikey viruses circling an enemy before going for the deleting blow, and flew towards the mutated program one by one, in an attempt to trap it within at least one of them. Voltman knew it wouldn't last long, so he wasted no time in bringing up a spear, dots of light emitting energy already gathering at the tip, and aimed it like a rifle at its target. His own energy joined that which was already at the spear tip, and the wavering glow of the power solidified, turning bright yellow. Gazing down the shaft of the spear once more, to make sure the Mr. Prog was still its target, Voltman sent a last pulse of electricity and fired the Blaze. It zigzagged toward its target, as lightning does, before truly locking on and shooting forward at even higher speed. But Voltman wasn't done yet.
Without warning, his lower right arm was suddenly engulfed in a whirlwind of fire, unable to be seen for only a few moments. Just as suddenly as the whirlwind had appeared, a blade shot out of the end of it, the fire melting along its length to reveal a charred hilt attached to where Voltman's wrist had been. He swung the Firesword around himself several times, before holding it in front of his torso and dissappearing. A small cloud of dust was the only thing left where he had been, before a negative-image blur appeared behind the program, which solidified into Voltman. Not one to ever pass up an opportunity, Voltman yelled out IMMA SLASHIN' YOUR TORSO! before unleashing a flurry of attacks on the enemy. Fire filled his vision as pillars of molten steel erupted from the metal ground, fusing with the sword to increase its power. Red lines, traced in the air from the force of Voltman's attacks, crisscrossed around the enemy's form, following the deadly dance of Voltman's weapon. As he jumped back, he aimed the point of the sword at the monster, blasting the last of the absorbed metal off of his sword as a parting gift. Voltman would have turned away, but a strange thought seemed to fill his head.
I should just turn away. Dodge. There's no need to attack further. I should move away.
Why am I not? What could I possibly gain? What... what is this...
Closing his eyes and shaking his head, Voltman clenched his fists, shaking from some unseen effort. After but a moment, the shaking stopped, but Voltman kept his fists balled, and his eyes closed. Letting out a small shudder, he opened up his eyes and looked up suddenly, pure malice radiating from his glare, and an almost palpable fury filling the area around him.
DELETE
Voltman raised the weapon again, charging with renewed vigor at the damaged enemy. This time, no energy was spared in the assault, every fiber of Voltman's being working towards his single goal: to anihillate the opponent. One could practically imagine background music to the theatrical performance, pillars of molten metal arcing majestically through the air as the ground was superheated from the assault, while in the center of it all two opponents fought. The flames of the firesword and the glow of the magma reflected in his eyes, adding to the intense hate already shining through. Any trace of his usual levity, his empathy towards others, was gone. All that was left was the essence of his battling spirit, the force that allowed him to fight as well as he did. And when he finally finished, leaping past the settling steel, which was already forming back into the smooth terrain it had been, he practically collapsed when he landed. Blinking several times, as if waking from a trance, Voltman looked around, staring at the field and at the settling pillars of white-hot metal. He looked at the Firesword, still glowing with the force of the finished assault. And lastly, he looked at Shigeru.
What just happened?
His operator had no answer.

The Prog stopped charging and bellowed, "DO A BARREL ROLL!" before "barrel-rolling" out of the way of the Bubblestars. Unfortunately, it's still on Metal, so Voltman's next barrage of furious attacks hit. It seemed that somehow, the Prog had finished charging through all of Voltman's attacks and it turned and faced the navi.
"IMMA FIRIN MAH LAZER! SHOOP DA WOOP!" the Prog warned, blasting high-speed purple laser seemingly of immense power, Voltman dodged out of the way, but somehow the shockwave caused by the passing of the beam destroyed both of his barriers. o_O
The Prog kind of bounced up and down facing Voltman after that.

As Voltman's barrage of aquatic attacks flew towards the enemy, the Mr. Prog seemed to prepare for some sort of manuver. More curious than afraid, Voltman decided to watch while he prepared his next attack. A good choice, as it turned out. The foe stopped charging as the bubbles neared, screaming out an odd cry of DO A BARREL ROLL! and spinning to the side of all three attacks. Voltman couldn't hide his grin, while on Shigeru's side of the connection, a revelation was beginning to take place. He trawled through his PET's list of recent data caches visited, searching for... something. Meanwhile, Voltman let loose a massive blast of electricity, still dealing critical damage to the program due to the metal terrain beneath it. Then, the Firesword becoming his next method of attack, he charged at the enemy and unleashed a punishing flurry of slices. Then, oddly enough, something seemed to take hold of Voltman. Something that niether the navi or the operator could identify. It wasn't the corruption; there was no sign of it. So what was it that caused Voltman to go into a deletion frenzy? Luckily for both of them, Voltman exited this state after he had slashed several times more, looking around with a confused stare.
What just happened? He asked, but to that question Shigeru had no answer. Even if he did, though, it would have been cut short by another announcement from their enemy. IMMA FIRIN MAH LAZER! SHOOP DA WOOP! Incredulously, the monstrosity seemed to have continued charging through his attacks, and Voltman had only time to cross his arms in front of him, bracing against the attack, before it erupted out of the creatures mouth. In the mere moments before the attack hit, Voltman could feel the power of the purple beam that was speeding towards him, and focused both of his barriers to his front, in an attempt to block it, before realizing he could simply jump to the side. He did so, but as teh beam passed, it released a purplish shockwave, roughly the color of the beam, which enveloped Voltman entirely and fought against his defenses. Engulfed in the blast, he actually laughed a little as he contemplated his luck fighting monsters that fired beams of energy and immense power. First Scylla, and now this? He was jarred back to reality, however, as one of his barriers broke under the strain, the second shattering as it dissipated the last of the energy, and a few motes of purple light bouncing harmlessly off of Voltman's armor, not even causing damage. He let out a sigh of relief, before drawing energy from the ground beneath his feet and replenishing the spent defense. His Firesword, he was relieved to see, was unharmed. Seeing the program ahead of him, eyes pointing different directions, bouncing up and down, Voltman glared.
Alright, buddy. Let's see what you can do! He yelled, raising the sword into the air, and pumping electricity into it. The sword's two energies began to mix, sparks and fire spinning around the blade in parallel spirals. When he deemed it ready, Voltman charged at the enemy, preparing his final assault. He charged at the enemy, predictable as always, sword at the ready. But as he approached the enemy, leaping over its head, it seemed that Voltman was done being predictable. Standing several feet away, Voltman swung the sword as if it were the program, not the air, that it rent in two. From his sword flew a wide blast of energy, fire and electricity mingling inside the attack to give it maximum power. But the assault had only begun. Voltman kept his front to the enemy, jumping to the side once, twice, and going from the second into a sideways roll before coming up swinging in a circular fashion behind his enemy. The force of the spin momentarily surrounded Voltman in a yellow and red cyclone of energy, but it dissipated as soon as he stopped. Pointing the tip of his sword at the enemy, Voltman taunted his enemy for what eh hoped would be the last time.
You've charged that laser of yours for the last time. Now, prepare for deletion!
Then, preparing his final smash, Voltman overloaded the Firesword's data, the flames leaping up as the metal began to vibrate and crack from the strain. His final charge was just that: a charge. Using the little electricity left in the weapon to create spears of light which whirled around to the back of the enemy, Voltman leapt into the air and unleashed a barrage of blows that would have shamed a trained swordsman. Left, right, up, diagonally, stabs, they all whirled together in his final attempt to delete the enemy in a single overwhelming barrage. The attack wasn't finished yet, though. Voltman turned his back to the foe, before backflipping into the air above its head. Time seemed to slow to a crawl in that second, for Voltman. The finishing blow. Glancing at the sword in his hand, he took the last of its undamaged data and fused it with one of his spears. A jet-black spear with a crimson head was what resulted, and Voltman gathered his last bit of vengeful energy to throw it with all his might directly at the enemy below him. Landing on one knee, Voltman looked up. There, the enemy still stood. Doing several quick calculations in his head, he reached a startling conclusion. Even with all of his efforts, with all of his attacks, if he hadn't missed even once... the enemy would still have 10 HP left. He searched his chips quickly, knowing that if he didn't do something, the beast would summon another of its reality bending tacos to heal its wounds. He summoned a final spear.
One shot.
Putting his trust in that single weapon, he wound back, and threw. Wobbling slighly, it nevertheless flew straight and true towards its target, towards the end. Silence reigned over the arena. Even the thoughts of Watt were silenced as the attack flew towards the enemy. Not able to watch from the stress of the moment, Voltman closed his eyes and waited for it to strike. Meanwhile, Shigeru had finally found the data he was looking for.
Another enemy based on memes! Shoop da woop... lazer... taco... it all fits. Even the barrel roll, even though that's a different meme. But... something's missing. It's charged, swallowed, and fired its laser. What's left? Other memes? Is it going to summon a cat from the ceiling? Summon some of those "derptools" again? Was this where they came from? God, I don't know.

"AH! YAH BEAT MEH!" the Prog cried as it crumbled meekly to the ground in the form of a pile of ashes.
Something sparkly was in the ashes though.
Malicious Prog: AH! YAH BEAT MEH!
Terrain: 50% Metal, 50% Normal
Voltman.exe: 170 HP
As Voltman leaned closer to examine the shiny thing, something swooped down and caught it. The figure was revealed to be a Heelnavi.
Good job. That was a pretty awesome fight. the Heelnavi commented as he pocketed the shiny object. Doubt that's the last you'll see of him though, he remarked as he warped out of the net area.
Seems like he left something behind.
