In Scilab Net

Voltman jacked in, looking around. Plenty of chrome and steel in this net... it was almost like one of those old futuristic shows. He half expected there to be whooshing doors near the portals. Ignoring the looks of the place, he set out to find viruses.

(Battle 1, 140 or 160 HP... depends on whether this or the shop gets modded first)
Shop doesn't effect current jack-in HPs. ;p

VIRUS ATTACK!

Battle 1, Start!
Voltman looked at the newest viruses carefully.
Damnit. More wood virii.
And a windbox. That could prove problematic.
How so?
Picture this. You fire the boomerang, it stops in the wind and comes back before slicing you to within an inch of deletion.
Damn.
My point exactly. Exercise caution with this thing.
Voltman thought over this for a moment, before telling Shigeru what he needed.
Elementalblast, boomer, and a guard.
But you can't even use all of those!
Trust me.
Shigeru shrugged.
Fine. Quintuple slot-in!
Voltman didn't waste any time. He quickly manipulated the data of the first boomerang, coating it in the attack resistant guard. He was now armed with a wind resistant boomerang. And, he had a chip that could strike from below.
Perfect.
Firing his new guardarang into the wind, it sailed towards the enemy. As it neared, he activated the Flameline. Red cracks appeared in the ground around the viruses, before pillars of flame burst from beneath the tank and the windbox. The fact that the boomerang had curved back towards the same tank was just an added bonus.
Then, turning his attention to the other enemies, Voltman decided to be careful. An upgraded version had thrown him for quite a spin earlier, and he was still a little shaken. But that didn't stop him. Readying the remaining boomerang and the wideshot, he combined their data. The boomerang turned blue, and bended slightly. Voltman threw it at the enemies, and it flew into the sky. It hovered there for a moment, before he shot it and the data split. Boomerang and wideshot flew at the enemies, the weak combination of the boomershot failing under a single tap. The water was to strike first, lulling them into a false sense of security before the boomerang struck. If one of them was stupid enough to release the boomerang before the water struck even, then all the better.
Voltman stood back. If that had failed, he was down to his beginner chips... and a cactiball. Fat lot of help those would be.
Shigeru, ready the chips. I'd be amazed if they didn't survive.
Suddenly, the wideshot flew back to Voltman, and reintegrated itself with his systems. A message flashed across his visor.
"Battlechip system overloaded. Please wait."
Damnit...

Overview:
1,2. Guardrang to Windbox[primary] and Kabutank[secondary] (boomerang, fused with guard to repel the wind and any other attacks, 60 each)
3. Flameline to Windbox and Kabutank (70 each)
4. Boomerang to BoomerA/B/C (60 each)
((Even if two attacks are fused into one, they still take two actions to use both.))
(But... the guard isn't attacking. Just being used to make the boomerang wind resistant.)
((Still, you're using two chips in one action, which is a no-no.))
(Balls. I'll fix it.)
(Fixed)
The boomerrang makes it through the wind, going through the box and the boomer. The wind fans the flames to the side, taking out the Boomers instead. The last boomerrang is blown too far off course to do any damage. The Kabutank then advances, shooting Volt.

Voltman:120
Voltman winced as the boomers were torched, his younger self's empathy leaking into his consciousness.
Wow. Bad luck.
There was worse luck coming, though. Like, say, getting blasted in the gut by a tank? Voltman flew back, heels over head, and landed with a sickening crunching sound.
Dang. I'm going to have to switch to Child.GMO, because it would appear that my image data is being rip... wait... image data doesn't rip. Shigeru, is there anything you want to tell me?
Shigeru's eyes darted around, staring anywhere but his PET screen.
Uh, nope. Nothing. Activating the GMO.
At which time, he deactivated Adult.GMO.
Voltman shrunk into his chibi form, and despite his best efforts, couldn't retain control. The mental stress of battling had weakened his mind.
So child Volt took over.
Without any thought as to why he would do so, he ran around the windbox before facing it and the tank from behind. He took careful aim with his wideshot. If he was going to tag both of these guys and win, he would have to be careful. The big tank looked kinda strong, though... so he added a cannon's data. Half of the wideshot began to glow white.
TAG!
And with that, he fired. The upgraded water flew towards the tank, and the regular wideshot towards the back of the windbox.
Ouch.

Overview:
1. Get behind Windbox. (Get out of wind)
2. Line up Windbox and Kabutank (Boost accuracy of next move)
3,4. Widecannon! (70 to Windbox, 70+30 to Kabutank)
They both die.

Rewards: 500z
MiniVolt let out a small Yay! at his win, grabbed the cash, attempted to eat it, had it beamed away by Shigeru, and kept looking for virii.
Viruses show up to teach the young Navi that eating money is wrong!

Battle 2 Start!
Voltman looked at the stationary viruses with intrest.
Shiggy, what are those?
Markcannons. And a Doublecube.
What do they do?
Doublecubes fire out light. Markcannons lock on then fire.
Even as he spoke, cursors started appearing on the ground, apparently searching for something. Something named Voltman.
What do I do?
The markcannons can close up, so here's what you do...
Shigeru whispered the instructions into his PET, which then relayed them to Voltman.
Okay!
Shigeru slotted in the elementalclaw combo with an added guard, and sat back to watch the show.
Minivolt ran in front of the markcannons, a guard enhanced claw protecting him. As they opened up to fire, he quickly pulled out his boomerang and whipped it at the first three. The green blade spun through the air, making a slight whistling noise as it flew towards its targets. Voltman knew it probably wouldn't hit all of them, but he was hoping that it would hit the first. After all, that's the one that would have the least time to react.
Then, as the enemies cursors started to converge on the small navi and he panicked, the larger Voltman took over. Shigeru's makeshift "mindchange" program quickly changed him into Adult.GMO.
Alright. Let's see what kind of damage we can do...
Voltman surveyed his enemies. The fact that his mini self hadn't closed the visor showed that he had targeted the first three. Good. He turned his attention to the untargeted enemy, locking on with his visor. The ground beneath the enemies grew red hot, but didn't burst. Voltman grinned at his feint, and fired off the wideshot. The watery blast split into three, heading for the first cannon, the last cannon, and one of the middle ones. Which middle one it was, he couldn't tell.
The ground beneath the enemies started to buckle under the heat, so Voltman let the fiery energy fly. Two of the Markcannons got torched, but an extra flare concentrated on the Dblcube. Voltman was confused at this oddity, but ignored it. There was a battle to be won.
Voltman, I'm heading out quickly to purchase some stuff. I'll make contact as soon as I can.
But aren't you right next to the shop?
The chip shop.
Oh. Okay.
The link discconnected, and Voltman was left to fend for himself.

Overview:
1. Guard dash in front of the markcannons (get them to open up, and defend against attacks)
2. Boomerang to MarkcannonA/B/C (60 each, attempt to hit before they close up, priority is the order listed.)
3. Wideshot to MarkcannonA/D/C (70 each)
4. Flameline to Markcannon B/D and Dblcube (70 each)

(Unopped for next two turns)
The enemies allow Volt to attack first, thus his Guard is abandoned. He takes out two with the Boomerrang and two more with the Wideshot. The Markcannon then instead locks onto the cube, shooting it. It changes its color and hits Volt with a laser.

Voltman grinned as everything blew up. It wasn't according to plan, but it was just the same as if it had been. He was so satisfied, he didn't even notice a red wall of light speeding towards him until it was too late.
The red light bore him upwards, sending tendrils of pain throughout his body anywhere they contacted. True, they weren't doing much damage, but they f***ing hurt! After what seemed like an eternity, the light faded, only a few red sparks flying around the affected area, like a discharge of red electricity gone wrong.
Shigeru, why didn't you warn me? He asked, infuriated at himself for his foolishness, and attempting to take it out on his operator. But he didn't get to. His communications were returned with a static sound, his operator having left to purchase chips some ten seconds previous. He cursed, pulled up his rageclaw, and took action. He wouldn't let Shigeru's absence dissuade him from winning. He would do this without Shigeru's help.
He analyzed the enemy's attack patterns from the previous assault. Minor damage, major movement. If he went for a straightforward attack, he'd just as quickly find himself blasted away again. He needed to stop it somehow...
That's it!
He deactivated the rageclaw momentarily, pulling up his buster. This would take some careful aiming, so he deactivated his visor. The HUD always just flashed incessantly during battles, anyways. The enemy was relatively slow, so it shouldn't be as difficult as shooting, say, a spikey, but it still took some concentration...
He charged his electricity, focusing it into his buster. But he didn't just perform a charge shot. To speed it up, and to give it extra power, he channeled all of his excess electricity into the buster. He took one last aim, charged it to full, and fired. The charge shot flew out as a ball of yellow energy at first, but suddenly burst, showering the enemy in electric energy. The effects of the electricity wouldn't last long, but it would be enough for what he had in mind. He charged in with the rageclaw, taking full advantage of the paralyzation that came with his blast. He slashed three times, his fury from the cube's last attack and the battlechip combining to send him into a rage, beating at the enemy madly.
Psh. Who needs an operator?

These viruses were looking to sever that connection forever!

--FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE!--
Voltman looked at the newcomers apprehensively. He didn't like the lightning bolts flying between that one virus' horns.
Shigeru, any ideas?
Well, all we have are long range multihitters. Not too bad, but a disadvantage for sword types...
Like me?
Precisely. Also, the Elecogre...
The ugly one?
Yes. Now, stop interrupting me. *ahem* The Elecogre is, as its name suggests, elec element...
So we blast it with a boomerang?
WOULD YOU STOP THAT ALREADY?! YES! WE BLAST THE DAMN THING WITH A BOOMERANG!
Voltman recoiled at Shigeru's outburst.
You don't have to get all pissy about it...
Wrestling with a passionate desire to have the boomerang backfire on Voltman, Shigeru slotted in four chips.
Elementalwarp combo!
Voltman winced as the chip data flew throughout his systems. Finding something new, he was curious. He activated the data hesitantly, and all hell broke loose. Voltman's limbs tingled as the areagrab activated. It really should hurt, having your cells supercharged with energy and being forced into a gaseous state, but Voltman's mind didn't know how to cope so all it threw up was that pathetic tingling.
He dissappeared, an afterimage left behind him like a negative of a photograph. The areagrab allowed him to choose his destination, so Voltman guided the chip data to directly behind the viruses and, more specifically, the Elecogre. He reappeared, boomerang in hand, and grinned as he let go.
Gotcha!
The boomerang whipped, point blank, at the virus' head. At least, Voltman hoped it did. For good measure, he manipulated the flying boomerang to whip around at the kabutanks once it had gone far enough. He desperately wanted to watch it hit, but he had other fish to fry.
Wasting no time, he activated the flameline, planning to hit the boomers and one of the tanks. But Voltman wasn't going for a sneak attack this time. He punched the ground, and a pillar of magma erupted directly in front of him. It flew at the boomers, and afterwards melted away. The kabutanks appeared unattacked... until the magma erupted beneath one. Shigeru was going to ask, but Voltman answered before he could.
Hey, old habits die hard.
Voltman grinned, and started running around to dodge. Sure, it wasn't a one turn win, but it was damn close.
