(*Points at Charybdis* Ha ha! U R Laem!)
Paddling onward, Voltman looked briefly to the island that he had passed up, seeing a distant figure near the tree. Trying to make out who, or what, it was, he was brought back to his senses by a strange scraping sound, caused by the boat now sailing over normal panels, with his oars clapping against the ground. He looked down, pressing against the now solid terrain firmly to make sure it wasn't an illusion, before stepping out of the boat and looking back at the island, which seemed to have dissappeared. Walking towards where it had been, he bumped unexpectedly into an invisible wall.
What's going on here, anyways? First the ground changes, now the battle routine is engaged for some reason. What could be causing all of this? He asked no one in particular, before getting his answer as he turned around. Before him stood a grotesque beast, of epic proportions. Six necks extended snakelike from its large torso, each ending in a large head. All eyes were on Voltman. Its torso was supported by twelve massive canine legs, and the tail of a fish finished off the monster. Running coordinatedly at Voltman, the monster stopped and all six heads opened their mouthes at once, forming a single blast of voice that, had it not been for the battle routine wall, would have blown Voltman away with its sheer force.
Foolish child! I, Scylla, will devour thee! Come! She... it... Scylla challenged as Voltman looked on in wonder. As the heads weaved and bobbed in anticipation of their next meal, without doubt, Voltman looked around for any opening he could find, before grinning and pulling out one of his trademark spears. Rearing back, he ran a few yards to his right before plunging it into the ground and vaulting several more yards, trying to get away from directly in front of the monster. Materializing a second spear, he jammed it into the panel below him and drained sufficient energy to create a coating of electricity over his armor, a makeshift barrier from excess energy. Looking at the screen of his op to his left, Voltman gave a quick command.
Shigeru, it's got quite a bit of HP. Send me some chips, and make it quick.
Shigeru fiddled with the chips, looking among them for something that might be able to help Voltman in his situation. The Powerblast... the new Powerbolt... the Fire and Aqua swords... Nothing was powerful enough to even put a dent in this creature's HP! Except Voltman's signature attacks, but even those... Shigeru mused, before striking a solution as he spotted one of the last chips in his folder. That's it! Metalzone, slot in! He yelled, slotting in the rare terrain chip. Voltman ran towards Scylla's legs as the chip took hold, metal spreading from where his feet struck the floor like ripples in a pond, stopping as they reached the boundary of the chip's programming capacity for the netscape. When Voltman had finished, a streak of metal permeated the dull terrain he and his fierce opponent were battling on. A grin spread across his face as he charged, his hands slightly behind him and at his side as electricity gathered in his palms, before sending it into the terrain in front of him and sucking out the excess energy with the spear he had used to create his barrier. Backing up only a step, he leaped into the air and plunged his spear through the air, pointing at the enemy. The tip burst to life with energy, and a bolt of lightning erupted from it heading directly for the hydra with all of its doubled energy.
Now, taste my power! Voltman taunted as he began charging again. Planting the bases of two spears in the ground in front of him, he extended his fingers towards the metal earth and summoned as much power as he could muster, letting it erupt from his fingertips into the steel and funnel into the spears, which began to glow with the force of the electricity they had begun to contain. Grunting from the effort, Voltman let out a yell as he pushed even more energy into the spears, the meager sparks from his fingers engulfing his hands as they turned into massive bolts. Without bothering to stop funneling energy into the steel, he grabbed the hilts of the now white spears and began to spin quickly, whipping up the air and turning into a cyclone of air and electricity, a single glowing line where the spears spun in the center of it all. Staying where it was for only a few moments, it shot off without warning at the hydra, swiping at it twelve times and releasing a little of the stored power with each individual blow. A voice called out from the center of the slowing tornado.
All right, you not-so-little monstrosity! I've shown you what I've got, now return the favor! Bring it on! Voltman's voice rang out, as the vortex at which he was the center of slowed and stopped on the ground quite a few yards from the beast. Where it had been stood Voltman, discarding the two spent spears with casual flicks of his wrist, only barely noticing them turn to ashes and scatter in a flock of cracked and burned data. Pulling up the Guard2 that Shigeru had just sent, Voltman checked the status of his makeshift electrical barrier as reassurance that even if this powered up guard failed, he might be able to avoid damage anyways.

Scylla is... unfortunately, within the metal panels. She shrieks in rage as attack after attack hits her, but she stops half of Voltman's second signature attack with a mighty roar from two of her heads. The rest do hit her. Two more heads attack. One crashing against the Guard, damaging itself, and one just breaking through the barrier.
Stop hitting yourself! one of the two unattacking head scolded. The head that had crashed into the Guard just whimpered a little bit.
I think I might pass on this one, he looks tasty, but... too lazy. another one of the heads that hadn't attacked commented.
FINE! I'LL GET HIM MYSELF! the scolding head roared as she chomped down on Voltman. Ewww...

Voltman, turning away from the enemy before striking with a cyclone blast of electricity, was slightly dismayed to see two of the heads block half of its damage. But... something seemed off. The creature seemed to be moving its heads independently. And as the separate heads began to argue among themselves, Voltman realized the truth. Each head thinks independently of the other five! Suddenly, as if trying to prove this point, two of the heads snaked around the two blocking and slammed into Voltman, one being thrown back to the body by the guard's power, and one crashing into his chest against the electric barrier. The makeshift shield blocked the damage of the attack, but still sent Voltman flying back. And as he watched the heads swerve amongst eachother, six different pairs of eyes focused on him with a mixture of hunger and disdain, Voltman realized the horrible truth: if these things worked together, they would be able to attack him, block his attacks, watch their favorite TV show, and read a book at the same time, practically. He had no chance, so long as they worked toge-
Stop hitting yourself! One of the heads hissed at the one who had hit Voltman's guard, interrupting his thoughts.
I think I'll pass on this one, he looks tasty, but... too lazy. Another head commented, rearing back slowly to simply observe. Voltman let out a sigh of relief...
FINE! I'LL GET HIM MYSELF! ...before almost being swallowed whole by the head that had hissed before. Inside of the slimy mess, Voltman sought something, anything that might be able to help him. A spark of electricity on his chest caught his attention as it shined brightly, spreading over his limbs to reform the electric barrier destroyed only moments previously. Grinning, he silently thanked Shigeru and Suitachi for the new upgrade's power. Only before realizing a fraction of a second later that he was still stuck in one of the mouthes of a six headed hydra. But no sooner had he even thought of the solution, his arms became encased in swirling fire and water, which extended feet from where his wrists had been before dispersing to reveal two glowing blades of the elements. Letting out a yell, Voltman let out a monstrous slash with the firesword at the neck of the head that had just attacked him, before struggling back and looking around.
Thanks a lot, Shigeru. You really saved me back there. Voltman said, giving his operator a quick, two fingered salute.
Think nothing of it. After all, if you weren't around, life would be a lot less interesting. Shigeru replied with a small grin. Now, what say you we take that thing down?
Voltman's answer came in a charge at the lazy neck, turning into a hypersonic blur as Shigeru slotted in the Areagrab. Reappearing in the air just behind the lazy head, halfway up it's sinuous neck, Voltman reared back as the Firesword glowed with blue flame, slicing once across the neck before trying to push off against below where he slashed, rocketing toward the ground before flipping and landing nimbly on one knee, rolling to the side and charging for the neck that had destroyed his barrier the previous time. Bunching up his legs like a spring, Voltman took off with all the energy he could muster and simply braced the firesword's hilt against his chest as he passed the neck, letting his momentum slash at the neck for him. Beneath Scylla, the ground began to glow red hot from the fiery form of the attacks. Turning to see what his attacks had done, Voltman watched the necks cautiously for any sign of movement. He had gotten three tastes of Scylla's attacks before; he wasn't planning to get hit again.
You think that did much? Shigeru asked cautiously.
Not. Even. Close. Voltman replied grimly.

Voltman knocks himself away from Scylla's first head with his blazing sword. He ups on his counterattack when another head dives for him, but he teleports out of the way and behind the lazier head and slams it down with his flamberge. Looks like it's asleep.
You idiot! Wake up! another head shouted before screaming in agony as Voltman cut it with his sword as well and became stunned for a bit.
The scolding head and another head screamed in rage and attacked Voltman once more, but he was too quick for them.

For Voltman, time seemed to slow to a crawl as a second head lunged at him mere moments after he had just escaped the slimy maw of the first. Lunging to the side, he activated the areagrab as the head collided with the metal ground where he had stood moments previously, and rushed up its neck with ease to slash at a sleeping head atop the massive beast. The areagrab stopping its warping ability, Voltman was able to hear the head he was charging at yell to the sleeping head You idiot! Wake up! before he sliced into its neck as well. Jumping down, he turned and made a backwards flip as one head lunged at him, then running to the side to dodge another lunge at his torso. One of the charging heads yelled out to Voltman as he began to tap into the excess power of the net to strengthen his barrier, screaming Insolent pest! Stay still! as the electric coating over his body began to strengthen, starting with his legs and sparking violently from the added power. Grinning at the comment of his large opponent, he shook his head before muttering something inaudible to his enemy.
Not likely. Then, turning to his operator's holoscreen, Voltman lashed out quickly with a request.
Shigeru, give me something here! He yelled as the barrier finished forming, covering his torso and extremeties with a crackling form of shielding.
Alright, Voltman! Time for a little power combo! He responded, slotting in the Powerbolt and Powerblast chips. Voltman started to charge up his electric energy, the barrier around him glowing in bursts as power leaked through Voltman's armor. Pumping up the charge, if not the damage, of the attack, sparks began to swarm around the electric navi as he pulled power from the metal terrain ahead of him. Beginning to create his extreme attack, Voltman threw the powerblast out in front of him where it hovered, drawn to the extreme power generated by the now glowing form of Voltman. Summoning a spear, Voltman reared back before plunging it into the heart of the powerblast sphere of energy, pumping his electric energy into it. The glow around Voltman dimmed as the powerblast chip began to look like a miniature sun, flares of lightning shooting out of its surface in perfect arcs as the battlechip struggled to contain the large amounts of damage roiling within its glowing yellow-orange surface.
Voltman, it's going to blow! Fire it off! Shigeru yelled, worried that it might self destruct and damage his navi.
Just... a little more... power! Voltman replied, grunting and responding in small bursts of speech as he pumped as much power as he could into the small orb, before withdrawing the spear, winding up, and swinging at it like a major league baseball batter, sending it flying at the massive beast. Then, crouching on one knee from the strain, Voltman pushed himself up and threw the spear after the orb, now slowing down short of its intended target. Arcing through the air, the spear almost dissappeared from view as it went straight up into the air, dissappearing into the net sky as it passed from view. Suddenly, a flash of blue from the sky, and a bolt of energy shot down from where the spear had dissappeared, engulfing the powerblast chip and dissappearing into the ground below where it had been, warping through the surface with a strange ripple effect. A breathless moment passed. And another. Voltman had just began to worry that the attack hadn't taken before a crack appeared beneath Scylla's torso, and he threw back his head and laughed madly as the blue bolt appeared once more and tore upward toward's the belly of the beast.

((I was dead yesterday. It took quite a while to revive me. So, I guess I'm RRS now. <scratches head>))
Voltman hits with all he's got. and actually DECIMATES two of Scylla's heads in the process.
OH SNAP! That's not good! one of the remaining heads growled.
JUST KEEP ATTACKING! WE'RE DOING IT ALL AT ONCE NOW! the lead head roared, the heads didn't comply, they were still feeling a bit of the electric shock of Volt's attack. The lead head didn't, and blasted a powerful beam of energy out of rage at Voltman, and instantly destroyed his two barriers, but that's all.
Grah, I'm going to move back, the head grumbled as it positioned it's body over a normal terrain.

As the massive blue beam tore upwards through the ground and engulfed two of Scylla's heads in a pillar of light, twin roars echoed through the battlefield before the necks of the hit heads fell limp, their energy spent and their will to fight null. The shock carried through the rest of the body, stunning the other heads, but not before one managed to hiss OH SNAP! That's not good! as it saw the fate of two of its scaly... minds? Brethren? It didn't matter; the beast was weakening. The lead head, who had been far enough away from the origin of the stun to avoid its effects, yelled out to its other heads JUST KEEP ATTACKING! WE'RE DOING IT ALL AT ONCE NOW! To no avail, as it turned out, because they were still stunned from the beam that had decimated two of their other heads. Not taking any notice, the lead head turned to Voltman as he was laughing madly and began to charge a large ball of energy in its open mouth, ignored by the NetNavi but not by the Netop. Shigeru turned to Voltman, trying to get his attention.
Voltman! Voltman, stop laughing and look ahead of you! Now! He commanded, pointing in the direction of the lead head. Voltman only saw the decimated heads, though, hanging limp from where they extended from the torso, and only paid less attention to the imminent danger he was in.
I know! Two heads down, four to go! I'm on fire! He commented, beaming a smile at his operator.
No, but you WILL be! Just turn... Shigeru started to say, before being interrupted by the lead head, having finished its charging. A massive beam of energy shot out from its gaping maw, engulfing Voltman and straining his makeshift barriers to the limit. Shigeru lost sight of his navi in the huge blast, and Voltman lost sight of anything but the beastial force struggling to erase him from the face of the net. As he watched, two distinct layers of protection in front of his face from the blast formed from the electricity, but one was already weakening. With a sound like glass shattering, after a few moments, the first wall was breached, and all of Voltman's hopes were dependent on that small barrier of electric energy. The last few seconds of the attack seemed an eternity, but at long last, the energy stopped coming, and Voltman was freed from its deadly grasp. Looking at his armor, he found no new injuries. Quickly gaining a deep respect of the new process upgrades, he patted the barrier emanating from the emblem on his chest, accidentally shattering it in the process. He stopped, shocked at how little juice was left in the energy barrier after the attack, and realizing how close he had come to ending up just the same.
Shigeru, we need a plan. Voltman stated simply, turning to his operator for suggestions.
Well, at least Scylla's... Shigeru started to say, before Voltman interrupted with a frantic, Don't say it! that had no effect on the operator.
Still on the metal terrain, right? He finished, but no sooner had he said it than the lead head grumbled Grah, I'm going to move back, and moved off of the metal terrain. Voltman groaned, and motioned away his operator's coming apologies with a wave of his hand.
Just send me some chips, already. He said, glancing at the Firesword on his arm, which already had minute cracks running down the blade. A few more swings, and it would shatter. He had to plan his attacks carefully. From his left arm, sent by Shigeru, a two pronged electric weapon shot out, sparks flying from between the two coils. Pointing it at the enemy, Voltman First drew out some of the nets energy through his boots to replenish his spent barriers, a small coating of power covering his armor to protect him from attacks. His defensive manuvers finished, Voltman started to form the Zapring between the two prongs where his left hand used to be. From the sparks shooting randomly through the chip, sparks began to circle between the coils, forming a green circle of glowing energy, with sparks of stunning power shooting out at sporadic intervals. When it was complete, he pumped some of his own electric power into it, shooting a lightningbolt from the base of the coils into the ring, and sending it flying at the body of the enemy. Stretching from speed, the Zapring curved around the side of its path before shooting back at where it had been aimed, flying at the beast.
Now, Voltman! Push it back! Shigeru yelled, and the Firesword blazed to life on Voltman's arm. He put all of his energy into dashing to Scylla's side, opposite the metal terrain, and prepared to begin his assault to push the monster back onto the conductive ground. Pulling back the sword, he swung it several times across the side of the beast, fire tracing its deadly path around the enemy's torso and red lines marking where it had hit. Not letting up, Voltman slashed at its legs, trying to force it to move backwards onto the terrain, for he could feel his electric energy building up again. If, and only if, he could get it back onto the metal by the time the next turn came around, he might be able to finish off more of its heads. Even the odds. And in an even fight, Voltman was sure he could win. Realizing the imminent danger of the heads, no doubt recovering from the stun by now, Voltman used the momentum from a blazing uppercut with his Firesword to backflip away from the enemy several times, turning around and swinging the sword through the air before preparing to dodge the attack that was, without a doubt, coming.

Voltman achieves success in his plan. Scylla roared and slammed her heads at Voltman, only to miss, once, twice, then only shattering a barrier, before she grinned and blasted Voltman with a powerful energy beam, cracking the panel Voltman was standing on.
Ha Ha! I got you! the lead head purred.

Voltman carved deep gashes into the side of the monster with first swipes of the Firesword. With the heads momentarily stunned, but the body not, the beast took several steps backwards. Nothing that would matter much, attack related, but for Voltman a few steps was all that he needed. Bringing back his firesword once more, he performed a test of his theory that could change the tides of this battle. As he slashed, flames leaped up from the tiles beneath the feet of his opponent, engulfing the torso of the monster in flames. Voltman couldn't take time to celebrate this victory, however, as the minor stun from the Zapring1 battlechip wore off and the heads began their attack once more. Rolling to the side, Voltman managed to dodge the first head, which crashed into the ground where he had been only moments previously. Jumping back, the same happened again with a second head. Seeing the third begin to charge at him, Voltman jumped away, but did not expect for the attack to change its course halfway through, snaking through the tangled necks of its fallen comrades to strike Voltman directly in the chest, destroying the barrier and sending him flying back, even if it didn't cause any damage. Getting up and charging at the enemy again, what came next was all too familiar, and not in any way pleasant.
Voltman! Look out! Shigeru tried to warn his navi, but it was already too late. The lead head had finished its charge, and it was too late for Voltman to dodge. A massive beam erupted from the mouth of the lead head, and once more Voltman found himself in the piercing brightness of the attack. Unlike the last time, however, this time he had no barriers to guard against the beam. Parts of his armor were immideately incinerated in the blast, but nothing large. Other parts were charred, or ripped apart with the sound of rending metal. When he was finally released from the attack, he checked his HP count, worried that he may have sustained more damage than originally thought. Watching the numbers closely, he was relieved to see them stop at 120, before he turned back to the opponent. The lead head was rearing back, looking satisfied with itself, but nothing of note. As he discarded the spent hilt of his firesword, the lead head looked at him, and with a note of smugness or possibly pride in its voice, purred Ha ha! I got you! This statement seemed not to affect Voltman, as he just looked to the ground, his face unable to be seen. Without warning, he began to shake, laughing softly, before bursting out with mad laughter and turning his eyes to the enemy, a spark of defiance and assuredness that had not been there before shining through the damaged visor.
Oh, no, you ugly beast. You got me, but it is I who got you! He yelled out, electricity from the network surging around his body in a cyclone of lightning and sparks. His armor regrew, electricity filling in the gaps in the armor and taking on the same hue and strength as the parts around them. When it was finished, Voltman stood there as if the battle had just begun. And for him, it had. Crossing his arms in front of him, he threw them out to his sides, spears materializing in either hand. Now face me! This battle has just begun! He yelled. Spinning them around his body at high speeds, electricity began to charge the spears, forming a sphere of electricty around his body. Then, dispelling the energy with a wave of one of the spears, the energy spread out into small orbs of light, floating around their creator. Throwing one of his spears into the air, Voltman concentrated on the free floating energy. They all stopped moving away from where they had been thrown, moving slowly at first, then at high speed towards the spear spinning in the air above Voltman. As the energy shot into the tip of the spear, a yellow glow spread down the head first, eventually moving into and engulfing the shaft as well. Leaping up and grabbing the weapon, Voltman turned the data into a formless mass, which he reformed into a cannon that engulfed both of his hands. Taking aim briefly, Voltman charged the cannon quickly.
ELECTRIC BLAZE!
As the cannon erupted with energy, a small beam came from the barrel, expanding into a massive blast, rivaling the one that Voltman had just been hit by. Flying through the air, it left a massive wave of sparks in its wake engulfing the enitre battle routine. The attack suddenly sped up even more, closing the final gap between Voltman and Scylla in moments, and blazing past the heads of the beast. Whether it had damaged the monster or not, neither navi or netop could determine. But Voltman wasn't done yet. The second spear he had discarded when he made the Electric Blaze cannon floated back to Voltman's hand, and he positioned the spear to float, upright, roughly a foot in front of him. Placing his hands on either side of the spearhead, Voltman sent a pulse of electricity between his hands, tearing apart the data and converting it into raw electric attack power. Making a slashing motion with both hands, Voltman quickly did the same with the rest of the spear. Collecting all of the newfound energy in a cloud of electricity above his head, Voltman formed the data into the shape of a giant spear above his head, and threw it at the enemy. The massive spear split into four as it neared Scylla, each individual part targeting a separate head. And as the lightning storm cleared, from the smoke of the blasts came Voltman, holding a spear above his head and leaping for the torso of the monster. Throwing it downwards, a string the consistency of fishing line but made of Voltman's data trailed behind it, connected to the back of the spear. And as it was about to connect with the enemy, Voltman plunged the other end of the string into his emblem, and prepared to siphon energy away from Scylla itself, using the damage of the spear to loosen electric energy for him to absorb.

Voltman's barrage of attacks hit. He also recovers his HP! : D
Now only two heads remain, the other two blown away by Voltman's ferocious attack.
They attack with giant beams of energy, but one beam is blocked and the other dodged.
It does seem like the curtain is about to fall upon this act.

Voltman lowered the Electric Blaze cannon cautiously after the attack, waiting for the electric currents to settle after the blast. As they dissipated, Voltman watched his enemy cautiously, a grin spreading across his face as another of the heads fell limp. Firing off the lightning spear, it struck the other three heads and the body, sending shocks through the systems of the beast. Leaping as high into the air as he could, Voltman sent a spear flying towards one of the remaining heads, a thin cord composed of his own data trailing out from behind it. As the attack was about to connect, he connected the other end of the line to his emblem, and sent as much energy as he could muster through the cord and into the spear. The head reared back, roaring, as Voltman sent charge after charge through the spear, extracting electricity from the damaged data of the head, made even more effective by the extra charge created by the metal panels beneath Scylla's feet. When he finished, he disconnected the line from his emblem, and ripped the spear out forcefully, leaving the head to collapse. Taking the data he had absorbed from the enemy, Voltman applied it to the cuts in his armor, and the data disrupted by the earlier beam of energy. Soon, Voltman looked like the battle had just begun, before he had taken any damage. Scylla, however, was looking a bit worse for the wear, with four of its six heads limp, and the other two... eh...
Oh... Voltman left the sentence unfinished as he began to dodge, but one can bet that what came next wouldn't have been "dearie me." Out of desperation, Voltman leapt to the side in an attempt to dodge both incoming attacks. The first of the two missed him completely, tearing into the panels behind Voltman and leaving a large gash, while not damaging the tougher Metal Terrain. But as the second attack came, Voltman didn't have time to dodge, instead raising one of his spears into the air and slashed at the attack, charging it with his barrier's energy and deflecting it away from him, crashing harmlessly into the side of the battle routine barrier.
Alright, Scylla. I'm done messing around. Now, FEEL MY POWER! He yelled, breaking apart what was left of the barrier over his spear and reforming it over his healed armor.
That's more like it, Voltman! Battlechips Bubblestar, Zapring, Thunder, triple slot-in! Shigeru cheered, slotting in the chips with three quick swipes. Voltman held his spear upright in front of him, beginning to spin it quickly. From the center of the circle blue began to appear, eventually turning into a single rotating blue circle formed by the spear. Striking the center of the rotating spear three times, three bubbles spread out of the circle, traveling at high speed towards Scylla. Voltman made a motion to grab the spear, but before he could, it broke in half, falling onto the ground in two pieces before dematerializing. Voltman gritted his teeth. Even his unlimited supply of spears needed time to regenerate. Trying to form one, he only managed to create a small portion of a base before the program failed and the spear data returned to the center of Voltman's palm, having failed to complete a full weapon.
Guess I'll have to do this the old fashioned way, then. Voltman stated, his right hand turning into a standard netnavi buster. Focusing his energy on the weapon, he created a sphere of extremely bright electric energy within the barrel, a single laser of energy pointing out of the barrel to act as a targeting system for the attack he was about to use. While his attack was still charging, created a second orb of less powerful energy in his left hand, lobbing it into the air where it hovered for a moment before speeding towards Scylla, led by its homing system. Thunder! The sound of crackling electricity permeated the battlefield as the charge of his buster finished, and he raised the weapon slowly, the stun contained in the blast transferring very subtly to Voltman's systems. Sending a final burst of electricity into the weapon, Voltman took aim with the targeting laser and fired. Following the light, the blast of electricity spiraled towards Scylla. Not resting for a moment, Voltman raised for the second time in the battle the two pronged buster of the Zapring, wasting no time in aiming for the beast's biggest section: its torso. Zapring! Voltman yelled, and the energy began to form between the coils of the weapon, swirling into a ring shape before shooting along the weapon's length and speeding after the target, joining the other stunning weapons in their mad blaze towards the six headed monster.
WHY... WON'T... YOU... DIE!?! Voltman yelled exasperated, as he prepared to dodge any more attacks that the enemy may throw his way. He couldn't see that happening, though, after the extreme amount of electricity he had pumped into its system.

BUBBLES! ELECTRICITY! DEVASTATION! Scylla roars in agony as he heads are destroyed and incinerated one-by-one, heaving her simply a headless body.
But suddenly, the Hydra spurts its six heads up again, rearing their heads back, a ball of energy charging massive amounts of power in the mouth of each head, when suddenly,
...
The monster turned to stone.
...
...
Phew, guess it's over. The stone statue seems to be very much intact. Looks like she won't be bothering you for a while.
But wait! A voice-well, more like six-rings out to Voltman.
You've done well child, as proof of your worth, take this, Scylla cooed softly, like an old grandmother. A sparking bright light drifted down towards Voltman and landed in his hand.
Scylla: DELETED?
Voltman: 200 HP (metal)

And then Voltman's mind split open. He tumbled to the ground, screaming as his head felt like it was being ripped open. Black tendrils burst forth from his back, hitting the ground behind him and becoming impossibly thin leg-like protrusions. And then, as if viruses sensed his unnatural presence, swarmed to him.

Voltman picked up the battlechip that looked unbelievably like Sanctuary reverently, inspecting it closely and determining that it was what he thought before watching it turn to a pile of zennies before his eyes. His eyes widened, shocked, and his stunned mindset caused him to ignore the slight headache beginning to surface. Wordlessly, he sent the data to Shigeru, before a wave of pain was sent along his spinal column from a point that felt like it was the very center of his head. He collapsed onto the ground, clutching his head, as Shigeru yelled at his navi, worried.
Voltman! What's wrong?! Answer me! VOLTMAAAAAN!
He had no way of knowing the scale of what was going wrong.
*In Voltman's mind*
Big brother, I'm scared! Watt yelled, retreating further from the blackness that had suddenly started oozing from between every program in the mind of the navi. Pulling up a spear, he started shooting pulses of electricity at the strange invading force, to no avail. It simply continued on its path, absorbing the shots and growing further! As it headed for the attack, movement, and system control programs, Voltman didn't know what to do. So, with no other option, he leapt into the chair from which he controlled all of his systems, and focused on the battle.
Big brother! What are you doing?! Watt yelled, trying to run to his older self but being repelled by the system that only let one mind control the body at a time.
This... thing emerged between battles. The battle routine keeps everything in it the same, so until this battle ends, this is going to continue. I have to finish this battle! He yelled, as the ooze reached all three systems at once, fusing with their programs and taking partial control. And that's when it began to manifest itself OUTSIDE their mind...
*In the battle*
Voltman let out a savage yell as the armor on his back began to crack, a black ooze seeping out from between the breaks before breaking off the back of the armor completely, and filling in where it was to form a pitch-black corrupted armor. Tendrils shot out of the back, sinking several inches into the ground behind Voltman's feet and lifting him up, placing him upright as his face contorted in pain from the broken armor, and the mental damage taking place. Shigeru could only watch in horror as his navi settled on his feet once more, his eyes lighting up. The once bright blue had spikes of black protruding from the sides, and Voltman's breathing was ragged, but he could still fight. Even better than he used to be able to. Shigeru, fumbling with his chips to get Voltman something he could use, settled on one of their old standbys. Aquasword, Areagrab, Metalzone, Firesword, quadruple slot-in! He yelled, slotting in the four chips. Voltman's arms were engulfed in vortexes of fire and water, before swords out of the end, dispelling the elements and revealing Voltman's transformed lower arms and wrists of the twin element swords. Before he could do anything, though, the two swords fell apart in his hands, their shattered pieces striking the ground with the sound of metal. He looked at the broken hilts attached to his arms with confusion, before the pieces reformed on his arms, turning coal black for a moment before bursting into life once more, covered in black fire and bone chilling ice water. He looked at them, then at his operator, before making a slashing motion and feeling a surge of power, the sword extending as he slashed, whipping towards the viruses mercilessly, splashing freezing liquid everywhere. Shigeru was stunned.
That...! But how...? And the viruses...! EHHHH?! He finished, confused, as error messages kept popping up on the holoscreen sides while Voltman's new powers tore through the netscape around him. Voltman, how are you doing that?
I... don't know... It's like, they're the same as usual, but I don't have as much control over their power... it's like they're not fully active, almost... He stated, trying to turn his head to get a better view, before activating the Metalzone and looking down to see the usual display of transformation. To his surprise, the tentacles shot out in all directions, embedding themselves in the ground feet from Voltman and sending out the silvery terrain from there, proceeding quickly and efficiently. Voltman, having done a few practice slashes with his newfound power, decided to attack. Voltman activated the areagrab, and was only mildly surprised when as he began to run, his legs seemed more powerful than usual, propelling him forward at high speed to arrive behind the metools even faster than usual. He disengaged the chip, and raised his arms to strike, before slashing with his Aquasword, feeling the power spread from his torso into the chip, his own force powering up the chip. Whipping it around several times, he could truly appreciate the power the enhanced speed was adding to the Aquasword's data, and a dangerous gleam appeared in his eye as he turned to the Elecogres, now hovering over Metal Terrain.
You're mine now, viruses.
He dashed up to them by means of their backs, slashing the blackened Firesword at them once, and watching a roiling wave of fire shoot out of the end, self sustaining for several meters before turning into so many embers and floating to the sky. And that's when the true carnage began. Voltman pounded the viruses without letting up, as fire flew in every direction, up and away from the epicenter of the calamitous force: Voltman. As he leapt back, the netscape where he had been was charred black like his sword by the force of the attacks, and he swung the two swords up in front of him, throwing up steam as he leaped back with his newfound power in his legs. Then, glancing at the tentacles protruding out of his back that had appeared in much pain before he had gained this strength, he wondered silently what they might be able to do... and if he was able to control them. Focusing all of his thoughts on the tentacle directly behind his right hand, he raised the firesword that had replaced his lower arm and pointed directly at the Visored Navi.
Go.

Go.

The attacks lash out like writhing snakes, banishing the viruses to whence they came, and the last attack, tendrils lashing out at the visored navi-
As he grabs them out of midair.
[CORRUPT] quickly begins to infect his hand, but he just jerks the tendrils toward him, dragging Voltman for a second before the blackened protrusions stretch like elastic.
"So you've developed a new trick on the spot?" The navi snorts in disgust, then light flashes across his visor. He raises his other hand, glowing pink, then brings it down, sending recovery energies into the [CORRUPT]. It surges into Voltman, causing him to scream out as the normally comforting Recovery suddenly feels like hell on earth.
"I'm so tired of this... Can't I rest without your presence coming into the world again?"

Voltman whipped around the sword mercilessly, destroying anything and anything he targeted easily and without resistance. His previous fear of the corruption spreading through his armor had turned to an exhilaration at the newfound power. Nothing could stop him now! He turned to the tentacles that had sprouted from the source of his power, pointing briefly at the visored navi and uttering a single word.
Go.
And that's when everything went wrong for Voltman.
As the attack sped towards the navi, he didn't make any attempt to dodge out of the way, instead just standing there. For a moment, Voltman had thought he didn't notice the tentacle, for whatever reason, before when as the tentacle came inches from his face, his hand snaked upwards and grabbed it out of the air! Voltman was shocked for a second, before being slightly reassured byt he corruption spreading across the navi's hand, quite the incentive to let go. He didn't take any notice, instead pulling Voltman towards him by the tentacles. The electric navi was spun around, then dragged roughly towards the enemy, before a strange stretching sensation came over his back, and the movement stopped. From behind him, he heard a voice, undoubtedly the navi's.
So you've developed a new trick on the spot? The foe commented, as Voltman began crawling away, the tentacles on his back struggling to stretch as the navi kept his iron grip. Through the weakness beginning to spread through his body, the same as it had when the corruption had just begun, Voltman managed to speak, turning around to face the navi.
T...trick? I... have no idea what you're talking... about... He finished weakly, his breath coming in short gasps. Seeing the navi's hand begin to glow with the light pink typical of recovery chips, and he sighed with relief. The navi was going to heal him, not hurt him. He had been wrong in attacking. As the navi's hand came up, though, Voltman felt more than saw something else. Something about his posture, or his demeanor, possibly. Something wasn't right. And as the navi's hand descended, in slow motion it almost seemed to Voltman, the few moments before the recovery came were filled with an ill-fitting emotion for Voltman: pure, primal terror. The navi's hand seemed to claw at the tentacle as the recovery chip came, and as the data began to work its way up the tentacle, the black data bubbled and roiled with something Voltman couldn't identify. Possibly pain. He thought, briefly, before the recovery reached the main mass on Voltman's back and he screamed loudly. His back felt like it was being burned alive, torn apart, and scattered amongst a rain of salt and alcohol as the recovery passed through his systems. It spread to his arms, his legs, his mind. Everywhere. No holding back, it seemed, when battling someone infected by this substance. Someone like me. Voltman thought grimly, between waves of pain, before falling to the ground once more, his mouth opening and closing in screams of terror unable to pass his throat. Finally, the chip finished its "healing" duty, and withdrew from his systems. Through the fog obscuring his senses, Voltman managed to hear the navi addressing... him?
I'm so tired of this... Can't I rest without your presence coming into the world again? He stated, in a tone containing anger, exasperation, and a tired demeanor that told Voltman that he was not the first to experience this... this... Corruption. He glared at the navi, who had just sent him such a damaging wave of energy that he was near deletion, and along with tthe drain of the parasite that was giving him his newfound strength, he wouldn't last more than two turns. If he was that lucky. Turning his head so he had a clear view of the data streaming from his back and forming black tentacles, he addressed them with a logical request.
Alright, whatever you are. I don't know where you came from, or what intentions you have for me, but what I do know is that without a form of healing that won't kill me, we're not going to survive this battle. I don't have anything like that, but maybe you do. So DO SOMETHING! He yelled, as he began a charge at the navi, while a single tentacle snaked towards the single metoolEX still living. Voltman drained power from the ground as he ran, forming it into a barrier of electricity to protect him from a surprise attack the navi might pull, before beginning his assault.
I'll send you some support! Shigeru said to his navi, sending the Powershot and Powerbolt in hopes that he might be able to create some strategical move with them. Voltman ignored the chips completely at first, whipping the tentacles around, feinting right and left in a small hope to confuse the navi. Or so it appeared. The attack ceased briefly as Voltman raised a spear, its tip glowing blue with energy, before all of the available tentacles dived at the navi, and as they began to retreat, Voltman fired the Powershot directly at the navi's torso. Shigeru couldn't understand what his navi might be thinking, using the weakest chip he sent him after distracting the navi like that. He wouldn't be able to fool him with the same trick twice... and it was at that moment, when even Shigeru could not guess his true intentions, that Voltman unleashed his true power. Plunging the spear into the ground, a blue bolt followed by two yellow sparks travelled from Voltman's hand into the shaft of the weapon, into the ground. Beneath the ground, the three attacks fuksed, before reaching the point directly below the navi, and erupting through the earth. A massive pillar of blue energy annihilated the ground where it burst from, as the absorbed metal fused with the electric energy, doubling its power by conducting the charge and sending it back twofold. A cyclone of energy, blue and yellow, was the center of the entire battle, while the tentacle Voltman had left behind raised its tip like the head of the snake, observing the metoolEX. And as Voltman's real attack faded, it struck, speeding towards the small enemy even as Voltman waited to see what his attack had done to the enemy, addressing the stranger who was trying to delete him because of this corruption.
I think I know why you're trying to delete me, or at least, delete that which has bonded with my systems. But I'm not quite ready for deletion. So I will fight! He yelled, glaring at the form in front of him.
Bring it on.
