DruidMan: ReturningDude

A slight wind gusted across the net, and a small flurry of leaves swooshed into the area. Collecting into a solid mass with a humanoid shape, they burst loose once more, revealing... DruidMan, followed by a shower of embers as Simurgh burst into life.

Sim flew up into the air and made slow, turns to keep herself roughly above Druidman. Watching her for a moment, Druidman then turned his attention to the landscape around him.

"What do you think, Druidman?" Steve asked.

"Not sure, dude." Druidman replied with a frown. "I think this way." he said pointing off to his left.

"Okay, if you think so." Steve replied, and Druidman began to explore in the direction previously indicated.

((BATTLE ONE))
A swing into the Electown Rogue network landed DruidMan on a small road in the middle of nowhere, probably abandoned there to rot. Walking along it with Simurgh, it didn't take him very long to meet some opposition. A duo of Bark were making silly faces and silly sounds at each other kinda sounding like "EEARGUAUGHAUAHH" or something while a Chumpu looked onwards, trying to facepalm or something. It turned around to see DruidMan, and alerted the Bark to stop their stupidity and fight or something. Which they did.

"Okay, Druidman. This doesn't look like much of a challenge, but still, better take things easy. I'm sending you a few chips." Steve said, slotting in a few chips for his Navi.

"Uh, dude, these chips are total overkill, dude." Druidman quipped as he received the data. Sim chirped in agreement. "What was that about taking things easy, man?"

"Well, taking it easy and taking it slow are two totally different things." Steve replied with a laugh.

"Whatever you say, man." Druidman shrugged as he cracked his knuckles excessively. Strangely, the cracking seemed to continue much longer than it should. With a quick amber flash across his eyes, Druidman flung his hangs forward, and the crackling's source became apparent as a massive arc of electricity burst from his palms outwards onto the metallic terrain around him.

Even as he pulled his hands back towards his chest, the leaves adorning his left hand began to spin forward as he drew his fist upwards in front of him. Pausing to find his foes, Druidman's (briefly scarlet) eyes followed the viruses around in their movements, and he lazily moved his arm forward. The leaves launched themselves off towards the viruses, bursting into flame and seeking their targets while screeching through the air.

At last, Druidman's right hand reached around his back and pulled free his scimitar. "Here, we go, man." he whispered as he drew the cold steel in front of him. So cold, in fact, that wisps of condensation seemed to waft off the edges of the blade. Twirling the blade downwards, Druidman touched the tip to the ground, which froze instantly, but kept growing larger and larger, until a large wave of frigid semi-slush rolled forwards into the group of viruses.

Simurgh, with a mighty pump of her wings, soars upwards, the downdraft sending Druidman tumbling to the side. As Druidman spring out of the tumble, he pulled forward a large wooden shield.

*.) Gust: Dodge for Druidman.
Starting off with a surprise electrical attack, DruidMan unleashed the ElecReel battlechip towards the Bark, which it unfortunately managed to dodge. The Chumpu teleported in front of him and out of the way, but the other Bark was not so precognitive and was deleted instantly. Simurgh flew up and blew DruidMan out of the way just as the Chumpu started punching stuff, allowing him to charge up his burning-leaf attack and launch it towards the Chumpu. Unfortunately, the Chumpu successfully evaded that attack as well, but the Bark behind it wasn't doing well at that. The IceWave after that still didn't hit the Chumpu with its slow-movingness, but as he threw up his shield, the Bark decided that enough was enough, and fired a WideShot at that time. Of course, it got its ass handed back to it.

Druidman was sitting, cross legged, in a large field of wildflowers.

His eyes were closed, and he sat peacefully, his palms loose at his knees.

As he sat there, he began to think. He thought about his own place in the universe, his role as a Navi, and how the Net was a wild, vast, and infinite place of countless wonder and adventure.

He sat for a long time.

Time seemed to stop flowing around him. He floated, free from any Earthly (Netly?) container, and saw, in one fleeting instant, everything the net had to offer. Every secret, every nook, every forgotten file, for that one, infinitesimal, fleeting moment, was touched by him.

Druidman opened his eyes, the knowledge gained, already evaporating from his memory, so quickly he would never be sure he even experienced anything at all. Nonetheless, his mind felt radically... expanded.

"Druidman?" Steve said hesitantly.

In the breadth of an instant, Druidman leaped from his position and flung himself towards the viruses in front of him. Sim, startled, flapped her wings hard once to get some distance away from whatever her master had planned. Steve barely had time to look at his folder before slamming some chips into his PET before Druidman brought his, now-rock-encrusted fist to bear down in a quick boxing match against the Chumpu.

Dancing backwards in several quick jumping motions, Druidman drew his scimitar, and quickly swung at the air in front of him, the moisture already coalescing around the force of the cut, leaving a wave of water to fall into step away from him, as he swung a second time, with similar results.

"Druidman, are you okay?" Steve said hesitantly.

But Druidman's left arm was already raised, his gauntlet pulsing with electromagnetic energy as he swung the arm forward at whatever came at him. "I'M BACK, DUDE!" he roared, though, of course, Steve had no idea what he was talking about. He had been there the entire time.

Right?

"Come on, Sim-chicka." Druidman said with a smile, as he continued wandering listlessly though the Rogue Net.

((BATTAL TEU))
Moving onwards into the area and following the small road, he found himself on a much larger shiny road. This road wasn't the same as the others, however. He felt... faster on it, for some odd reason. There were some arrows that pointed in one direction painted on the road, too. A little later, he heard the sound of motors revving. Turning to the side would yield him a view of two very decked-out Armadills. They looked entirely silly, with some engines popping out of their tops and some exhaust being fueled out of their sides. Atop them rode some Swordies with yellow blades, raring to go. The engine noises started getting louder as DruidMan realized that he was crashing a race.

Druidman stepped boldly onto the Racetrack while Steve slotted several chips in for him.

"Ready to play a little chicken, Druidman?" Steve asked with a sarcastic edge.

"It'd be more fun if I was charging back, dude." Druidman grumbled. "But this still sounds fun."

First, Druidman pulled his scimitar free, and began to charge his magic into it. Glowing green, it offered no resistance as he bent it into a new, even more curved shape. "Let's see if I can throw a wrench into their plans, man." he said. He was secretly pretty sure he just died a little on the inside with that corny line, but hey, whatever. In any case, he flung the boomerang around in an arc that roughly would intersect with the riders.

"Try out this new one, next, okay?" Steve suggested as he pointed out one of his most recent acquisitions.

Druidman channeled the chip's power through him, bringing up two giant stone circles out of the ground. Curiously, there was a single hole in the center of each, like a big donut. "Uh, okay. Race time, I guess?" He shrugged. "Wait..." a devilish grin spread across his face. He quickly summoned a wooden rod through the holes, making a barbell like shape. Leaping onto it, he began to run rapidly in place.

"YABBA DABBA DUUUUDE." He screamed at the approaching viruses.

With a mighty spasm of his legs, compounded by a quick burst of wind from his always helpful companion, he launched himself off of the careening lunatic device and swung his fist, swollen and earthen, at the nearest rider. "CARJACKING!" He laughed.

The Boomerang handily removed both drivers from their seats, and DruidMan plotted his actions. The Armadills still sped forward, however, just as he sped towards them on his Shake, rolling on that thing like a madman. One of them crashed into the Shake with its pure speed, disintegrating into a husk on the side. DruidMan then jumped up into the air with Sim's help, and smacked down on one of the Armadills. Or, well, he would have, if his aim wasn't a little bit off and he himself got careened into. (60) What was worse was that his arm had gotten snagged in the late Swordy's reins, dragging him along like a ragdoll!

"Arrgh, my arm, dude!" Druidman howled as he was flailing wildly around.

"Druidman!" Steve exclaimed, worried about his Navi. "Gotta slow it down! Still have your scimitar?" he asked.

Druidman's free arm came up, still somehow clutching his weapon.

"Okay, good. I'm sending some chips your way, okay?" Steve replied as he sent said chip data Druidman's way.

"Yeaaaaahhhhhggow! These should woooorkf, dudeeeeggh." Druidman grunted between blasts of shoulder pain. He spun his scimitar around and tried to plunge the blade into the underbelly/leg area of the Armadill, not hoping to stab, but to gum up the works, the blade splashed into a gooey pile of soft metal gel that, with luck could stop this mad beast.

Regardless, Druidman was trying to climb upwards to ease the pain in his arm. Reaching into his pouch with his free hand, he produced a large magnet. "Maybe enough of that meta got over him for this to help, man." he murmured as he turned the giant magnet comically towards the ground.
