ACDC Start! - The Battle of Fifteen NETs

"Let's get rid of the fliers first before the ground. They have cover from the buildings. Just keep your eyes on them. Split up so they can't concentrate their fire."

"Roger that."

"Roger that."

The three split, heading off in different directions. DragonierMan went straight ahead, over the most densely packed concentration of viruses, while Suzume broke off to the left and Aya broke off to the right. Drago winged from side to side and then used the momentum to circle upwards into the sky like a tornado. Suzume streaked away at high speed, spinning like a drill. Aya performed a mid-air loop and then began to serpentine through the air. It wasn't long before targeting any one of the Navis would not only be problematic, but also there would be no capability for saturation of targets. Which would make anyone sad.

Eschewing combat for the first stages of the fight, as they were both outnumbered and being attacked by a variety of dangerous foes, the three continued to dodge and weave across the sky. Drago, thinking quickly, would go with the blinding strategy he used against the Spookys and Tanks. It would take a little while for the blinding to take effect after everyone had been exposed to it. The girls, who were currently not as resilient, would just continue to avoid less-accurate attacks while Drago did the grunt work. So he gathered light energy in his hand and then tossed the artificial sun into the air. The blinding flash of the explosion of the artificial sun would cause temporary damage to the artificial senses of everyone but Drago in a few moments. However, in the meantime, Drago would press the attack while they could still see him. Which would confuse them later when the blinding effect took hold. For at the moment, Drago outlined himself as a target.

So he began to bob and weave around, trying to avoid attacks, while he waited for a flying target to come close to him. He unsheathed a new sword, feeding it battlechip energy, and caused it to broaden and widen. He watched and waited, moving quickly from side to side to avoid the attacks of the enemy. Positioning himself so that he was sure to strike the viruses cleanly. He didn't care specifically who he was fighting at the time, but he tried to maneuver enough to get as many of the Fishy and Pulsebats into range of his sword. Then, with the surety of hitting high, he began swinging his sword at the flying viruses.

The blade whooshed through the air in broad, wide arcs. Two swings. In the gap of each swing, Drago flapped his wings and realigned himself with the viruses, trying to catch them at beneficial angles. The blade shimmered as he brought it up and around each time. Cleaving a glowing path through the air. Leaving after-images in its wake.

Under the initial volley of fire, Drago and his SPs took swift evasive action, curling over the old structures artfully. The older bunny took another crack shot at Drago from its position down below, but the virus' pin-point accuracy wasn't a match from the navi's evasion. Such were the teams weaving and arcing that it gave most of the viruses down below momentary pause. the two bats winged up further into the sky, coming close to the trio, though apparently it was just so they could get a clearer sight on them, since they didn't attack just yet. While they were attempting to watch Drago intently, the dragon warrior had a surprise in store. A more salaciously minded individual might make a joke about how often he left his two girls seeing stars, but for the time being he sent out the burst of blinding light to inflict some rather dazzling blindness on everyone around.

Amidst this the other two bunnies down below squeaked and hopped as they tried to keep a good line of sight on their targets, looking up between the buildings. One ran left between the walls the other right, trying to find a clear view. The bunny at the crossroads was having no such problems, and launched a second crackling ring in Drago's direction. It was still having trouble actually hitting the nimble navi however, the dragonier avoiding the shot neatly.

Down below, the two Fishies had done their best to line up charges against the weaving targets above, and they both charged into the sky, crossing paths as one aimed for Aya, the other for Suzume. Both fish missed their aim by a wide margin, spinning about as the reined in their speed to ready for another go. Before they could, however, Drago moved in to make his counter offensive. The targets in the sky were somewhat spread out, but nearest his position one of the fishes was close enough to the watching PulseBat to promise a good double target. Two quick sweeps later saw him cutting both viruses out of the air before either of them could react.

The second flying fish turned on a fin and charged back towards Aya, but again failed in the basic principles of aiming while the two bunnies below finally popped out from between the buildings and fired off rings of their own, now that they had a good line. It didn't help them connect with either SP, though; the girls were simply too agile in the air. the other remaining bat, having gotten an eyeful of Drago's sun burst, dropped back down to the building level, putting some distance between them, and fired a sonic pulse upwards towards the navi. Drago was already elsewhere by the time it reached his original position, however.

With the glare from the burst of light fading away everyone one the field, save Drago himself, was left with spots dancing in front of their vision, and were stuck trying to deal with the combat effectively blinded, at least for now.

A rough grid of dilapidated buildings, six in total, but more exist if the battle spreads or moves. Narrow alleyways run between them at ground level,s room enough for a single target, and the buildings themselves were originally two stories tall. The ruins directly below Drago and the girls are virtually destroyed, offering only low walls on three sides, and unstable rubble inside.

the next two are in better condition, and have most of their walls still standing, though the interior floor has collapse,d leaving tall walls on each side, and a lot of debris in the middle. the back two structures are almost intact: their roofs have still fallen in, but the upper floors are solid, for now. Targets could potentially hide completely in the lower story of these structures.

Blinded again, Aya and Suzume continued to fly around. Since they were unable to see their enemies very well, they decided to protect themselves. Aya's gauntlets took on a golden glow as she projected an I-Field around herself. And Suzume summoned a large golden shield to hide behind, turning it towards the nearest virus(es). Meanwhile, DragonierMan took over the offense. Beating his wings to gain speed, he flew towards the remaining Fishy, which was the only virus currently sharing the skies with them. He gripped his sword with both hands and drew it to his side, pointing behind him, to reduce the wind drag.

He charged forward with all due speed until he was about to overtake the virus. With a quick movement he opened his wings wide and slammed to a halt right next to the virus, as the wings billowed full with air. Then he lashed out with his wide sabre, slicing and dicing. With the first slash the blade of the sword shattered, spilling shards everywhere, saturating the area in sharp blades. But on the very next swing, which was just the hilt now, the blade formed again. Drago had two copies of the WideSword battlechip and he was going to get his use out of it. So he swung again, not as accurately as his first but still reasonably accurately, at the Fishy. The blade sliced through the air on the second slash, trailing a pattern of light behind it. Hopefully it also hit, as the viruses in the Rogue Nets were much stronger than the viruses he had fought before, and it would take at least two good slices to cut through their tough exterior and reduce them to junk data.

"Aya where are you?" Suzume called out, her vision blurry. "I'm over here," Aya replied from somewhere over the battlespace. Suzume turned towards the voice and saw a small, blurry figure glowing in a golden light. Aya was also was looking at a similar golden target, what with Suzume's golden shield on prominent display. "Let's meet in the center," Suzume suggested, before both twins began heading towards each other. Meanwhile, they dodged and weaved through the air just as before, trailing golden light. They gave quite the aerial show with spinning and looping and diving and climbing. They did all sorts of things that were more for evasive purposes than for show, but they still looked cool doing it. Once the blindness was over, and they were together again, they would be able to execute a coordinated attack. Woe be the viruses that were left when that happened.

Drago was also performing his own aerial stunts elsewhere. He turned away from his supposedly defeated foe, with a little somersault, and flew towards the Pulsebat. He flew towards the virus like he did when he engaged the Fishy, sword arm back and to the side, trailing it behind him. He screeched to a halt before the Pulsebat, his wings catching the air like a parachute out of a drag racer. Then he leapt forward and slashed the air with his sword. He swung in broad arcs, once, then twice. His sword cleaved through the air in sparkly crescents. Finally, used up, the sword shattered at the end of the second pass.

He took a moment to toss the hilt at the Pulsebat as the final blow.

In the aftermath of Drago's blinder attack, the cross fire continued fast and furiously, but it was honestly hard to tell whether the enemies were even trying to aim. Shots went wild in every direction, to such a prodigious extreme that one might suppose they'd have all failed to hit anything even if they could see straight. While Aya and Suzume raised their defences, the trio of bunnies all took goes at... well, probably at the navi, or his SPs. It was hard to tell, really. The Fishy charged across the sky, too, and while it was hard to tell exactly where it was aiming for, it ended up fairly close to Drago, without really being a threat to him.

Not one to pass up gift opportunities, the dragonier made a cut that slashed the faux-fiery virus, and followed it up with a second thanks to his reformed blade. By the odd circumstance of timing, the remaining PulseBat chose this moment to wing its way back skyward, screeching and shaking its head around as it tried to clear its vision, and this put it right in the path of the blade, alongside the poor fish virus. It tumbled sideways through the air from the force of the blow that served equally well to finish off its main target.

The tougher of the TuffBuns was quick to make a second attack against the main target overhead, and while, through its blindness, it managed to aim this strike more accurately, it remained an easy task for Drago to avoid it. Aya and Suzume, whether intentionally or not, ended up playing a game of cat and mouse with the two bunnies that were fixated on them respectively; their flight back to the centre once more obscured their line of sight from the bunnies below and both viruses chittered in frustration before legging it back towards the centre of the block.

Having recovered from its out of control spin, the last bat shook itself out, then rolled over and arced back down towards ground level, curving so it could hammer a sonic pulse upwards at the first target its spotty vision could make out. This happened to be Suzume, but the bat's perception of where she was, and where she really was was a little bit off, and it made avoiding the attack quite a simple task for her. Drago chased the bat down, coming in hard with his blade, and though the first sweep over-shot slightly, the second swing was more than sufficient for removing the virus from play. This just left the three ground-bound buns, and their vision was clearing up at last.

"Move to the outskirts and drop all the dragons on them!" DragonierMan called out before heading towards the Damaged Houses. Suzume headed towards the Ruined Houses while Aya headed towards the Neglected Houses. Keeping an eye on the bunnies, and continuing to dodge the electric attacks, their wings carried them spinning down to the pathways between the houses. All three of them drew forth small pots, which grew to man-size just before they dropped them on the outskirts of the neighborhood. Aiming them towards the center of town, they kicked the three pots over simultaneously.

Pandemonium followed as dragons came out of each of the pots and began to rampage across town. A leviathan rode a wave of seawater down the alley between the Damaged Houses, flooding everything in its rampage. A salamander burned a flaming path through the Ruined Houses, scorching everything in its rampage. A storm dragon, larger than the other two, electrocuted a path across the Neglected Houses, magnetizing everything in its rampage. Once they swept away all opposition and met in the center, they would probably collide in a massive explosion.

Drago flew over the destructive wake of the leviathan as he headed toward whatever was left of the viruses. Dodging and weaving along the alleyways and around the houses as he hunted. Once he found any, he would release yet another dragon. This dragon was made of grass and leaves, and smelled of wet earth. It pounced out of its urn to bite the heads off any bunny unlucky enough to be in its path. It probably headed towards the center of town to collide with the rest of the dragons in a massive explosion of awesomeness.

Drago then continue to hunt for more viruses, dodging and weaving along the alleyways and around the houses to find them. Leaping tall buildings with a single bound. Though once he got close to a Tuffbunny, he would unleash a roar of wind and leaves, breathing confusion powder all over the viruses. The bunnies were elec-element, so the earthen powder would smother them.

Prepared for a rigorous and thorough mop-up operation, the trio converged on the remaining bunnies swiftly. From the centre, the more advanced virus got off a quick attack that whipped past Drago's head as he prepared to attack; the dragonier only barely managed to avoid that one, but avoid it he did. The two lesser buns were making swiftly for the centre as well, but paused to wing electrical attacks at Aya and Suzume respectively, as they sighted them down the alleyways. they were both quite accurate this time, though Aya still dodged easily. Suzume wasn't so lucky, but she got her guard chip tot eh electrical ring in time, which absorbed the stunning shock for her.

The guard shield countered with its hyper fast light beam, sending a thin bolt of energy screaming back down the alleyway. an accident of positioning meant that the three bunnies weren't the only ones in line to receive the retaliation beam, and Aya might have been startled to find her twin's guard counter hammering against her own I-field suddenly. Fortunately, though the field was dissipated, sensibility won out and she didn't teleport over to punch her sister back for it.

What she did do, more or less in sync with the other two, was unleash their triumvirate of angry dragons on the remaining viruses. From the left, one dragon forcefully washed away the bunny on its side, while from the right, another bunny got burned. Along with the third dragon, they met in the middle, where the final bunny was trapped and, to make a long story short, it wasn't getting out of that situation. Drago and his team were ready with additional arsenal just in case anything survived this, but nothing had so he didn't need to put any additional chips to waste. Instead, there was a battlefield to pick through, and rewards to claim.

As the trio moved on, leaving the hellish mess of blended terrain behind them, they passed an uneventful minute or two skimming and searching the area until, with very little warning, the sound of many viruses chattering and the swift, light falls of many feet built in the distance. the pattering became a hum, then a rumble, and shortly after a veritable horde of different coloured bunny viruses began to pour out of the gaps between the buildings racing along at high speed. A couple of them glanced up at the navi above them, but they didn't pause. This might be because, a short way further on, two buildings toppled with a crumbling crash to reveal... well, it was another bunny, that was definite. It was also more than a story high, not including the ear prongs, bright blue, and looking right at Drago and his girls.

It made the traditional bunny squeak, which, coming from a virus of that size, sounded more like a roar, and its ears began to crackle. In a split decision, however, it swiftly turned and bounded to the left, crashing through two more buildings as it darted around to try and circle the trio. For a virus of that size it was fast, and apparently no less nimble than its tinier brethren. It bounced up as it ran, twisting and flinging a truly gigantic electrical ring from its ears towards the trio; it passed above them, setting the air to static, but there was every possibility it was intended as a warning shot.

Much of the terrain on the ground below was cracked or broken, but the bunny wasn't overly bothered by such small individual flaws in the net space. It could jump clean over some of the ruined buildings with ease, so any small holes in the ground clearly weren't going to faze it.

-=Battle 5, Start!=-
To fight against a giant electric bunny, the earthen powers of wind and leaves would need to be called upon. Luckily, DragonierMan had knowledge of someone who could sever the sky with her power. Drawing deep within himself for the power of wood, Drago accesses his inner Yasu. His hair changed from his silver-gray to a rich, earthy brown. The strands grow longer and become even more wild upon his messy mane. His eye-color changed from gray to an emerald green. His western Netopian-style steel plate changed to an eastern Electopian-style lamellar. The armor dyes itself green and comes with a matching eye-patch, which fits over his left eye. Thankfully his vision is not obscured, as the eye-patch comes with a built-in targeting computer. His navi symbol adds gusts of wind, blowing leaves, which twist around the stone tower that adorns his tabbard. The longsword that he carries takes on the shape of a katana, and is also colored green.

While Drago transformed, Suzume and Aya put up their defenses. Suzume equipped the shield that so helped her before. She kept turning it toward the giant StunBun as it hopped around, hiding behind its protection. Aya glowed golden as she equipped her gloves of countering. "Circle-strafe the enemy giant!" Yasu!Drago called out in a voice that sounded layered with a brash girl's. The trio began acting like buzzards, circling around the giant bunny from above, similar to the way those planes circled around a giant monkey in that one famous holo-movie. Winging around and around like pesky flies.

Yasu!Drago re-positioned his scabbard, drawing it perpendicular to his waist with one hand. "Sky Severing Blade!" Yasu!Drago called out as he gripped the hilt of his katana and pulled it forth with a practiced motion, launching a bolt of green energy at the bunny-colossus. The TankCannon2 shot was infused with Yasu's wood powers, giving it a strong boost against the electric giant, as it streaked towards the massive target. Trailing leaves in its wake.

Then he began dodging and weaving around the giant. He varied his speed as he circled, speeding up and slowing down at random. Varying his height accordingly to further throw off the StunBun's aim. The targeting computer in his eye-patch scanned for an opening in the bunny's defenses. Once he found one, he flew close to the StunBun and unleashed a breath of leaves and spores. The WoodPowder2, enhanced by Yasu's power, covered the area in a deadly confusing powder. Snuffing the static electricity under a cloud of earthy dust.

With the giant bunny watching them, Drago and his crew began to strafe and circle, preparing their defences ahead of going on the assault. the bunny didn't attack at once either, though a slight ripple of energy passed over it. It hopped around a little bit, though for a bunny of that size that equated to a lot of loud stomping and the destruction of another building.

Once they were all prepared and the lines of battle were drawn, Drago opened the proceedings with a powerful, wood-imbued shot thanks to his cross. In an almost comical expression of shock, however the bunny's eyes widened and the elongated line of its mouth turned down as the shot unloaded. Then, the bunny vanished. The size of a building, and yet a moment alter it was simply gone. There was the furious sound of heavy hoping and the ground rumbled; their target might have turned invisible, but it was still massive and the crumbling destruction of ruined buildings were easy to follow as it, apparently, legged it away a short distance.

There was a louder thump and a sound of skidding, then the audible crackling of electricity. It wasn't too hard to tell where the bunny was, invisibility or not, and the large crackling ring of electricity that emerged from nothing a moment later confirmed it. The massive ring flew towards Drago directly, but the dragonier ducked away from it without harm and would likely hear the thunder of the attack crushing another building far behind them.

Drago tried again, this time unleashing a volatile, terrain-changing wood powder over the area that the over-sized invisible menace was occupying. It was hard to tell if anything actually connected or not, sadly, but they did hear an aggravated bunny-roar from the rough vicinity of the creature. Surely that meant they'd accomplished something.

A moment later, there came a thump, and a small dust could around the grassy area that Drago had just attacked, and the sound of an agitated giant far above them; had it jumped up high? A ripple in the air gave a hint of where the bunny was, but the best that cold be guessed was that the anomaly began aiming towards Suzume. The Sp did her best to clear out of the way as the massive virus covered her with its not quite shadow, but it was too large. There was enough warning to get her guard up to it, but the impact that she felt behind the inevitable blow contained a seemingly impossible amount of force; she was rocketed down towards the ground like a meteor, slamming down hard into the mercifully softer grass terrain with a monumental crash (-10 for excessive fall impact). The reflect laser that emerged from her shield wasn't as strong as the blow seemed to suggest, and while it did shoot upwards with unerring accuracy to strike the virus, a guess could be hazarded that the attack had contained more forceful movement than actual damaging power.

There was a softer, though still quite sizable thump as the bunny presumably landed again as well, a short distance away. They could hear it breathing loudly, wherever it was, and there came a small breeze... perhaps it was fanning itself. One might want to hope that's what it was doing, anyway. After another moment, the breeze stopped and there came the crackle of another over-sized electrical ring. This one was aimed towards Aya, but just like her master, she managed to avoid the attack and keep her counter ready for next time. There was a flicker as the ripple in the air began to falter and the giant bunny gradually came back into sight.

"Suzume, wait until the giant reappears, then release the forest dragon!" DragonierMan called down to Suzume, who was flat on her back, as he sheathed his sword. Clearly he either didn't care that she plummeted several stories to the floor below, probably breaking every bone in her body if she was human, or he just assumed she could walk it off. And she did, after she peeled herself off the soft grass, leaving a shapely female impression upon the ground. When she did begin to move around, she quickly relocated herself away from any cracked and broken terrain, not wanting to fall in a hole. She also watched for the giant electric bunny who was currently invisible. Meanwhile, Drago and Aya continued to move around in the air to make sure that the giant electric bunny also didn't knock them down into the soft grass. Because that would be terrible.

Since they didn't have any way of fighting against invisible opponents, all three waited until the StunBun was visible again. They kept their guard up during the whole time though, hopefully dodging against the slew of attacks the giant might make until it became visible again. But once the huge virus was visible again, they unleashed their own slew of attacks. "Sky Severing Sword!" Drago yelled again as he unsheathed his katana a second time. He whipped the sword in a graceful arc and another wood-infused, tank-cannon shot flew out of the emerald blade, streaking forward in a cloud of leaves to strike at the large bunny. Then sheathed his sword again. Meanwhile, Suzume produced a man-sized pot from her pouches and aimed it at the visible giant. "Time to feed," she said as she pushed the pot over, releasing the forest dragon. As the creature of earth and leaves stormed off to eat the giant electric bunny and turn the cold urban environment into a grassy paradise, Suzume rocketed high up into the sky on a beam of light. Finally, Aya took careful aim at the evasive, yet confused, virus and lobbed a big boomerang made of woven reeds at it. The reed boomerang whistled like a dozen birds as it twirled through the air towards the bunny. Drago and Aya did all of this while trying to circle the massive rabbit. Keeping it confused with constantly moving targets.

Drago then moved in from above, quickly dropping altitude and then rolling to the side. He moved left, then right, pulling a feint to get close and under the giant's defenses. His fist glowed with an awesome power. It's infused grip whispering to Drago to defeat the virus. "Take this!" Drago shouted as he battered his fist at the giant body of the electric bunny. After delivering his punch, he flew away, then switched directions mid-air and came at the giant from another angle. Another feint to an undefended point on the giant. "And this!" he roared as he sent another jab rocketing toward the midsection.

With the giant bun already fading back into sight, the trio repositioned themselves for continued assault. their target spent a couple of extra moments looking about, uncertain, before dashing off to the right with heavy, bouncing footfalls. Directly to its right was a building large enough to stop it, and the virus fell over, picked itself up and ran in the other direction next. The confusion was definitely settling in now.

Drago took aim with his imbued weapon and made his shot, but ill-chance saw the erratic movements of his alarmingly nimble target elude the damaging blow. It stopped dashing a few seconds later and stood still. Very still, looking out at the trio as they strafed. It looked as though it thought it was hiding from them, but the structure it was taking cover behind was a building that was only half its height and a fraction of its body width. All in all it was as comical as it was ineffective.

This made a perfect set up for Suzume to release her dragon towards the virus, but the dragon seemed to have other ideas; it ate up the terrain, converting large patches to grass as it went, but veered around a few pieces of prominent rubble and ended up running its full course without finding its mark. Bad dragon, no treat for it later. Aya, fortunately, had more luck. Her boomerang connected with a far more satisfying impact, making the over-sized creature squeal loudly and reel back until it fell over. On its back on the ground, the bunny proceeded to fan itself rapidly with its ear-prongs while rolling side to side. Who even knew what it was doing now?

Whatever it was though, things then got a bit stranger still. The bun kicked itself to its feet, but even as it leaped up and its toes touched the grass, a ripple passed out from it, changing the tiles into an expanding pool of ocean water, into which the bunny promptly splashed with another angry sound. The sea change spread out, consuming a major amount of the terrain, sinking buildings and replacing all that lovely fresh grass from moments before. By the time the transformation ended there were only a few major islands left, furthest away from the Bunny's rather soggy situation.

This sudden oddity didn't' stop Drago from swooping down to deliver a shudderingly powerful punch to the giant critter, jolting it backwards and down into the water a bit with the force. The virus shrieked, kicked up out of the water and purchased on one of the bits of ruin sticking up from the brand new ocean. It hissed and trembled, small puffs of steam coming from its ears as it stomped one foot and chattered at Drago, then, before the Dragonier could make good on his second punch, the Bunny turned from pale blue to a rather livid shade of bright red, burst into flames and came rocketing straight towards him at an alarming speed. The two met with enough explosive force to demolish a few of the nearby building shards; Drago's fist found its mark, but it proved too difficult for him to connect the blow, and still manage to avoid the oncoming bunny-blaze at the same time, and he took a scorching from it in return.

In the aftermath, the fires wreathing the giant bun died out and its colour cooled back to blue, but it didn't seem any less aggravated. If anything it looked more angry than ever, now. It glared at Drago and started to charge sparks in its ears, but something seemed to go wrong as it did, and the ring just popped with a crackle, like a halo about it. It blinked a few times, the small sparks clearing the last of the confusion from it.

"Yes that's it. Come get some!" DragonierMan shouted out just before he collided with the giant crimson bunny. Both delivered a strong hit to the other and sent each other reeling back. "I am the master of destruction here," Drago commented as he spat some silver data out of his mouth where his lip was cut. "AND I WILL DESTROY YOU!" he roared as power welled in his body, restoring his stamina.

"Suzume, Aya, slice this virus to ribbons," he called out to the twins as he pointed a sharp, gauntleted talon at the giant. "CHAAARRRGE!" he bellowed as he rushed forward on his draconic wings, beating the air and gathering speed. Suzume and Aya followed on their own wing-beats, their katanas gathering chip energy and growing wide. They all weaved through the air like serpents, slithering this way and that, as they closed on the large virus. The twins, with a quick flap of their wings, burst ahead of their master and came at the virus from the left and right. They cried out as they aimed at the lower belly and lashed at the virus with their swords, trying to dig in deep. Then they swiftly changed direction, dragged the blades behind them, and crossed the virus in a huge 'X'. Suzume and Aya ended up switching positions after their diagonal movement.

As they broke off from the massive blue bunny, Drago came screaming in and delivered a strong punch to the gut. Right where the twins crossed. He then kept after the virus, moving this way and that, as he delivered one punch after another. His fists flying. His movements sprightly and agile. Jabbing here then ducking over there to deliver another thrust. His hands glowing with white-hot fire as he chased the virus down like a veteran fighter. Not letting his opponent get any rest.

Calling out the attack, Drago and his team narrowed in to finish things off. The twins lead the way, but while they circled and lined up, the giant bun jumped. It arced up high in the air, turned over in a surprisingly neat somersault, and smashed its forehead down onto DragonierMan with a crack; the warrior did his best to evade the massive bunny, but there was just too much of it to get around this time. Drago was healing up at the time, and the blow didn't cause much damage; he still healed more than he took, in the end. the more troublesome aspect was the overwhelming thrust of force which came with the overhead slam, rocketing Drago down to the ground with an irresistible force.

The ground, in this case, was all sea so he hit with a splash, but didn't suffer any additional hurts. Something about Drago's challenge seemed to have really ticked the bunny off, though, because it remained focused on him, even as it landed nimbly on an out-cropping spire of rubble amidst the water.

Even as it eyed up its newly sodden target, Aya and Suzume came in for their vicious cross-cut of attacks. They looked to have it distracted at first, but Suzume's aim was slightly out of line with her sister, and the giant bun's eyes flicked to the twins just before they reach it. It hopped again, darting clear of the sword stroke that was in line to hit it, while poor Suzume manage to miss entirely. How did something that huge dodge about so quickly?

The StunBun landed on another piece of rubble, though its feet and part of its lower body were well in the water this time. It didn't stand still for long, though, jumping off its perch again to come hurtling at Drago with a full-bodied tackle. At least it wasn't on fire this time. Despite his watery position, Drago dodged clear of the first tackle, countering with a forceful punch that shunted the bunny up and away from him. The bun flipped over backwards in the air, kicked off a rock, and came hurtling right back again, passing through in a crackling, electrical cross-cut of its own. Again Drago managed to avoid the attack, just barely but the bun wasn't done, it seemed. It skidded to a halt, water flying, then turned as the electricity from its tackle massed up its body, bunched into its ear prongs, then flew back towards the dragonier in a last effort. The limit of his water-borne evasiveness ran out, and the crackling ring managed to crash into him even as he attempted a last effort at avoidance. Stuck in the water as he was, the electrical current amplified as it coursed painfully, and the effect left Drago a little dazed as well.

On the bright side, The attack seemed to have taken most of the bun's energy for now, and it paused, panting after the series of vigorous attacks. This gave Drago the perfect opportunity to shake himself off and give the over-sized virus what for with another couple of fierce punches which it failed utterly to do anything about. The two blows knocked it back into the water with a concussive splash, causing the bunny to shriek and whine as it writhed.

"Aaarrrgh!" DragonierMan grunted as he curled his fingers into fists, creating two crushing grips of agony. The electricity flowing throughout his body was disabling him and making it hard to move his fingers. However, magical healing energy from above began to transfer into his program as he tried to shake off the stunning effect of the giant electric ring. Soon a burst of adrenaline flowed through him as his resilient body began to fight back against the debilitation, freeing him from his pain. He rocketed up into the sky on wings of fury. Reaching the top almost fully healed and restored to prime fighting condition.

"Come on Aya!" Suzume called out as she raced forward to end the heavily wounded giant. "Right behind you sis!" Aya replied as the twins rocketed forward on wings of light and shadow. They aimed their blades true and brought them down in a series of rapid arcs upon the virus. Slashing at the giant over and over again in a flurry of blows. Circling around the StunBun while they swung. Swinging until their blades shattered from overuse. Sending sparkling steel shards into the drink.

As the twins finished their dervish dance around the StunBun, Drago had dodged up to it. He roared as he brought his fist down upon the giant, shattering his gauntlet with the strength behind the blow. As his gauntlet broke apart from the impact, sending more steel shards into the sea, he snatched up three of those shards and took aim at the virus. They glowed with infused light as he threw them at the giant. One, two, three. Three times did he throw the sharp steel at the virus. And behind them he added his own blasts from his hands. One, two, three. Three times did he shoot pearly energy at the virus. It was a stream of six projectiles, one after the other, flying at the giant. How many could it dodge?

The bunny virus was clearly on its last legs by this point, but it only seemed to be getting progressively more infuriated by the tiny navi and its little SPs that refused to go squish. It kicked itself up to its feet, sending up another splash of water, and while Drago healed up and let his natural resilience take care of things, the virus was steaming. Quite literally, gouts of stem seemed to be escaping from it at odd, irregular angles and its colouration shifted through to a livid red again. It was hopping up and down madly, sending small waves through the water all around it and causing more of the assorted rubble to slide into the sea, and generally having the king of all tantrums as it rapidly broke into flames for a second time. This time its body seemed almost wholly engulfed by the fires and it became a towering inferno of exceptionally angered bunny.

Before Aya and Suzume could close in and finish it off, the Bun moved; if they'd thought it had been fast before, now it blazed like lightning. Perhaps a touch too fast, though; The bun-comet streaked straight up towards Drago, but he wove cleanly out of the way and the virus was moving too fast to correct. It dropped at the end of its streak, kicked off the ground again and came back from the other direction This time the dragonier barely managed to avoid the blistering attack, and dragon or not, he'd feel the heat of it scorch by him. It was crackling and snapping too, he'd notice, if his ears were sharp. when it landed the second time, the bun roared, screaming loudly enough to rattle what few buildings remained, and thrust its ear-prongs forward towards him. Rather than a large ring, this time the bunny's excess electricity came out as a shockingly quick beam of raw charge, and try as he Might, Drago was all out of evasive action for this one. The blast winged him, but despite the bunny's impressive size, and the apparent magnitude of its rage, the strength of the bolt wasn't rally too bad; certainly it was far less than he'd just healed up.

At the end of its rampage, the bunny stopped and wavered, swaying on its feet as its colour cooled and the steaming stopped. the fire had extinguished with a sharp hiss as it threw the last attack and now it looked utterly spent. It collapsed, feet sticking out in front of it as it panted, and was completely unable to muster any further defence as the twins swooped in to finish the job. They brought more than enough excessive fire-power to make sure the job got done, and sure enough it did. The giant bunny was finally slain and gave only last feeble protest as it began to disintegrate and break down. Drago would probably begin to feel an even more virulent stun trying to work its way into his system from the last blast, but his own natural resilience would be more than capable of taking care of it before it got too far.

This only left the subject of their prize. A brief search of the decaying corpse would turn up a good amount of convertible zenny, as well as a slightly unexpected chip.

DragonierMan, Suzume, and Aya returned to ACDC Rogue Net in tri-beams of light. They had somewhat grown in power since the last time they tried conquering the darker areas of the NET, and they believed themselves to be ready for a retry. Their wings extended and they lifted off the ground, speeding off towards battle.

Returning to the more dilapidated and darkened sections of ACDC, Drago and his girls set out to find more sources of revenue and challenge. It was fortunate that they could all fly, as it turned out, since the part of the net they found themselves in contained an ordinate amount of damaged and missing ground — the path simply fell away into blackness frequently, and looked about to do the same in other places. The few houses and buildings that were still standing in this derelict area looked ransacked, but there were actually signs of life and occupation in a few of them.

More visibly, though, in an open plaza that the trio approached from the air, was a large statue of a bunny virus, made of solid metal, which a pair of heater viruses were busily torching, like they were trying to melt it. Behind them, pacing back and forth and occasional calling commands in an incomprehensible viral tongue, a Swordy rode a very large, grizzled-looking teddy, sword in one hand while the other held a set of reins attached to a muzzle and bit.

-=Rogue Battle 1, Start!=-
Flying was really the only way to go on the NET. There were so many places that were accessible with flight. One also didn't have to deal with the problems being on foot had in unstable areas, such as lava, and bottomless pits. Those problems were the worst. It was a really good idea to invest in flight.

Like for today. Giant inky nothingness dotted with dilapidated buildings. How would anyone get to these areas if they couldn't fly? How did most of the viruses that were below them get to the floating platform with the bunny statue? Besides the Swordy-N2, the other three were definitively land-bound. Well, unless Rogue versions could float or fly. But the three navis would learn whether that was true in combat.

DragonierMan would start things off by activating a few new programs, some older ones, and some returning ones. His flesh grayed and became scaly, while a bubble formed around him. His eyes became sharper, his hand steadier, and his wings blurred a bit as they flapped faster. "I'll take the Stoves, you two take the Bear. I don't want it throwing those benches around at us," he said before speeding off to find a good angle to strike at both OldHeater viruses. He zig-zagged a little in the air as he tried to find position without exposing himself to too many attacks. His eyes and mind calculating all the variables.

The twins nodded to each other and zipped away towards the Teddy. All three navis tried to keep in High-Altitude to protect themselves against the most grounded of attacks, and to give them a little maneuvering room in case something was launched at them. Suzume and Aya moved in an evasive pattern, zigging and zagging, as they spreading out to find the best angle to fire at the riding bear. The statue would block their shots if they weren't careful. To further aid them, little beams of light and shadow shot out from their eyes, searching to tag the Teddy2 with laser precision.

Once they thought they had a bead on the target, they all unleashed their attacks upon the viruses below. A barrage of projectiles rained down upon the island. Drago had swept a wave of water from his hands, slicing through the air like a crescent moon. The wave spread out wide to try to tag the two OldHeater viruses and douse them with cold water, which would put out their fire. If the Bunny Statue took the hit, then it was collateral damage he could live with. The twins, meanwhile, had unleashed explosive tank shells upon the Teddy2 and its rider. Their main target was the bear itself, as Swordies did have an awful tendency to teleport around to evade attacks. However, as the high-explosives detonated around the Teddy2, if the Swordy-N2 managed to get caught in the twin blasts, the more the better.

From their positions in the sky, the three navis attempted to evade the counter-fire. Belches from flamethrowers, teleporting sword slashes, and thrown benches hurled into the air would all be coming for them. They couldn't move too far away, as that would negate their good positions, but they attempted to duck and weave through the viruses attacks.

Drago was faster than the twins and, as they were busy dodging, he tried to line up the Bunny Statue with the OldHeater viruses. Electricity flowed through him and collected in his hands before he hurled the ball lightning down upon the statue. If he aimed and timed it right, the ball would explode on the statue and spread to either side, striking the stoves in their smug heater faces. Giving them a serious jolt to the system.

He did some more dodging and weaving and zig-zagging through the air before he collected a little more electricity in his palm. Another sphere of energy formed and he tossed it up at the sky. The darkness pervading the land parted as a blinding light blasted the area. Everyone, including Drago and the twins, would be blinded from the shock to the sensory system. Even more so if they had lived in the shadows for so long.

But Drago and the twins knew they could heal their wounds and remove the blindness soon. Leaving them with the advantage and momentum in the coming moments of the battle.
