Stomping Grounds

KaijuMan warped into the Network in a flash of green and a loud thud, before the light subsided. He made his way forward as his eyes scanned left and right, looking for viruses.
Where are those damn viruses... I want something to destroy!
[Don't worry, there are plenty of viruses for you to delete, just keep your eyes open.]

He continued to stomp further into the network, searching restlessly for viruses or anything else he could destroy.

Stomping through the ACDC network, the new monster known as KaijuMan found his first prey in sight; a trio of Metools had just waddled over to him. Upon seeing the Navi, the Metools instantly switched to aggressive-mode, and whipped out their pickaxes, brandishing them at him in a (not) intimidating fashion.

KaijuMan's spines twitched in excitement as he saw the trio of Metools ahead.

It's about time!

KaijuMan took one step forward and struck a pose as he made a deep, rumbling roar, his spines spread out and shook feverishly. John smiled as he saw his Navi in all of his beastly fury, and inserted both of his ranged battlechips into the PET. KaijuMan's roar caused ground to shake, and hopefully strike fear into the hearts of the puny mets in front of him.

After he belted out his roar, he brought his arms up and pointed them towards the trio of Mets as he started to arch his back away from the viruses. KaijuMan's tooth-lined mouth started to close, and a bright orange glow appeared inside his mouth. Using his reptile eyes on the side of his head, he picked out the lead Metool, and labeled it as his main target. The glow inside his mouth started to shine between the his teeth, and made a light humming sound. He then whipped his body forward as he opened his mouth, and a bright orange projectile fired from his mouth and towards the lead Metool. The bright ball of energy exploded on impact and sprayed the immediate area behind target with volatile energy shards.

Smoke oozed out KaijuMan's mouth and nostrils as he arched his back again as yet another orange glow started to emanate from his mouth. This time he targeted the furthest Metool and turned slightly to line himself up. He moved his body forward again and fired an orange bolt of energy towards the Met with a loud boom. The projectile left a small trail of smoke before it impacted with a crushing thud.

With his projectile attacks away, he started stomping forward to close the gap between him and his targets.

The fearsome KaijuMan roared his battlecry to initiate the battle, and charged headlong into engagement. The bright orange blasts from his mouth managed to take out one of the Metools, but missed the other two, due to his overexcitement. In return, the Metools cracked down on their pickaxes, and sent two roaring shockwaves across the floor. However, the shockwaves were bypassed as KaijuMan dashed by their sides, effectively canceling them out.

KaijuMan continued to press the attack, and thanks to his close proximity to the viruses, he could finally start tearing into them.

John! Give me chips!

John nodded silently as he slid his final chip, a rageclaw, into the PET. As soon as the chip successfully downloaded, Kaijuman heard a click coming from his right arm. He looked down to see the four serrated blades secured to his metal vambrace swing into place like a quad-pronged claw. He stared at his weapon as the blades swung open and closed, following the movement of his scale-covered hand.

Heheheheh... this is more like it!

KaijuMan raised his clawed arm, the light glinted off the shined blades, and he took a step forward with his left foot towards the closest metool before he brought the blade down. He delivered a crushing, downward blow towards the Metool, which caused the blades to clang loudly from impacting (the metool and/or) the floor. KaijuMan then shifted his focus to the final remaining Metool, and lifted his blades from the ground. His jaw moved up and down as he started to chuckle, and his teeth started to glow red with heat.

He turned towards the remaining Metool and roared as he lunged towards it. As soon as he got close, he leaned down and tried to snap his jaws down on the Met's body. His superheated teeth would be able to melt down his target's defenses and sap some of its energy to add to his own. After he snapped his jaws shut, he then drove his right hand forward to deliver a piercing thrust towards the Metool, in the hopes of finishing it off.

The Metools moved to attack Kaiju with their pickaxes, soundly hitting twice in a row with the weapons. (10) (10) Unfortunately for them, the Navi struck back hard, and swiped and chomped his way to victory, sapping the Met's energy for his own. (+20) All that was left of his stomp was one of the viruses' pickaxes, should he choose to use it.

KaijuMan barely felt the strikes before he sank his teeth into the virus and drained it before finishing the Met off. He let out a triumphant roar, he destroyed his targets with near minimal effort. However, he wanted more.

He started to walk deeper into the network, and swiped his tail over the chip and zenny data left behind as he passed by. He kept his eyes open and scanning the area ahead, looking for more viruses to smash.

((Requesting Battle #2))

A roll and stomp through ACDC later, and KaijuMan quickly found himself more prey to play around with. A duo of Bunnies set up the front cover for a couple of Kabutanks in the back, with all of them on their way towards the Navigator in hopes of a good fight.

John started to slot in a shotgun and their new shockwave chip, and gave his Navi a few helpful hints as he stomped forward.

[I'd be careful with those Bunny viruses, they can stop you cold with their electricity.]

KaijuMan didn't seem to be paying attention and continued to advance, but he started to chuckle with a low grumbling sound.

Yeah, I'd love to see them try!

KaijuMan raised his arms up to chis chest as he started to rear back, and partially closed his toothy mouth. A bright orange glow emanated from his mouth and shone between his teeth as the spines on his head shook feverishly. KaijuMan was facing the group of viruses ahead, but he was aiming towards the right-most Bunny virus specifically. He knew if he didn't hit the virus, the resulting blast should be able to take down the Kabutanks directly behind them.

The monster navi's chest started to swell slightly as he inhaled through his nostrils and raised his right foot off the ground. With his targets in sight, he then leaned forward and drove his foot into the floor as he started to open his mouth. A shockwave rippled from where he slammed his foot on the panel floor, which caused the light layer of dust and debris to be kicked up in a rapidly expanding ring. From above, you could also see a more concentrated shockwave jet straight forward and towards the viruses.

Along with the shockwave, a large orange ball of energy hurtled from his mouth with a loud *fwoom* and burned towards the bunny virus. KaijuMan's eyes flashed brightly from the glow of the energy before it shrank from view as it hurtled down range. The round exploded on impact with a shower of sparks and volatile shards of energy, which tumbled in a wide spread backwards and towards the Kabutanks.

An orange glow continued to burn from his mouth, and he adjusted his stance to point his head towards the left-most Bunny virus. His jaw opened slightly wider and acted as if he was about to cough, then fired a second orange energy blast out of his mouth, and sent it rocketing towards the Bunny virus. The projectile had plenty of energy and speed to cause the virus to be knocked back, and hopefully off its feet.

Sending a shockwave rippling towards the enemies, KaijuMan managed to hit two that were lined up, one Bunny, and one Kabutank, injuring them. No more, no less. A Shotgun later, and two more were hit, only this time, they were deleted permanently. One of the remaining Bunny managed to fire an electric ring at him, and dodge the Cannon shot at it, letting it live. Kaiju, on the other hand, was feeling a bit slow after that electric ring... (10, Stun)

Sparks of electricity jumped between the spines in his back and near his head, and he grunted from his odd paralysis. His surprise quickly turned to anger, and the spines on his back stood straight up before they started to glow red.

Grrr... you really think you can stop ME?

John instinctively slotted in his Navi's RageClaw chip at the sight of him becoming more and more agitated, and apparently gaining control of his previously unresponsive body. The metal, bladed sleeve near the tip of his tail glinted in the light as the serrated blade-like edges sharpened and twisted into even larger, more wicked blades. KaijuMan hissed angrily as he dug his claws into the ground, and pushed hard with his right foot, causing his entire body to twist to the left and pivot on his left foot. His tail lagged behind for only a brief moment before it came whipping around, dragging the steel blades with a shower of sparks, and barreled through the Bunny virus's position.

You're next!

KaijuMan stopped his rotation and faced directly towards the Kabutank. His tail whipped to his side, before he lifted it slightly and slammed it into the ground behind him with a metallic clang. The blades bounced off the floor, but the weight of his tail kept the sharpened edges from jumping around and hitting himself. His teeth started to glow red hot just as he crouched down slightly, before launching himself headlong into his lone target. His teeth glowed even brighter, and were white hot by the time he snapped his jaws shut, and were hopefully melting away the Kabutank's armor and siphoning some of its energy for himself.

KaijuMan tore into the virus, causing it to shatter into twinkling bits of data dust. He feasted on its energy as he made a satisfied huff. He chuckled with a low growl as he surveyed the area, and the destruction he wrought.

Hmph. Told ya.

John smiled as he took a look at the data laying around his Navi.
[Good work, Kai. Gather up the spoils and feel free to keep going.]

KaijuMan continued onward, gathering up the battlechip and zenny data with a swish of his tail. He leaned forward slightly to lift his tail off the ground and gained speed. He searched restlessly for more prey, like a prowling hunter in the middle of the wilderness.

((Ready for Battle #3))

Rolling on through the ACDC network landed Kaiju near an establishment of Canodumb turrets out in the middle of nowhere. The turrets were situated near a rather large bridge, at its entrance. Around it were some bouncing black note-shaped viruses, hopping around to their heart's content. They noticed Kaiju's approach, and hopped over to him while the turrets began to lock on to his position.

KaijuMan didn't stop as he saw the group of viruses gathered in front of the bridge; in fact, he leaned forward to quicken his pace. His footfalls were heavy, and his tail stuck almost straight back in an attempt to keep it from dragging along the ground and slow him down. However, instead of running straight towards the viruses, he peeled off on an ~30 degree vector over to the right side of the canodumb line. His maw was partially open, and one could see his small, bright eyes peering towards the viruses from behind the rows of teeth. As soon as he felt he lined up at least 2 of the canodumbs, he halted his stride and slid to a stop with a spray of sparks and debris.

KaijuMan squared off with the turret viruses and snapped his maw shut as he stood tall, as if inhaling. John had already inserted his shotgun chip into the PET, and his Navi was quickly taking advantage of the opportunity to quickly attack. John started to slide in their newest chip as a tell-tale orange glow started to shine from KaijuMan's mouth. He aimed directly towards the closest turret, and whipped his head forward and opened his maw to eject the energy projectile forward with a loud pop. The round soared through the air for less than a second before it exploded in a bright flash. The projectile shattered, and the shards spun and rolled in a spread behind the impact zone.

The beast Navi stopped and started to glare at the hopping Melody viruses, as if annoyed by their apparent happiness and energy.
Grrr...
[Hey Kai, how about we try out this new chip I just received? It's pretty powerful, and will very easily slow them down. Just take aim, and the chip will take care of the rest.]
Hm... Alright, send it.

John completed the chip upload, and his Navi felt the new data's presence in his programming. It felt... rather strong... he liked it. KaijuMan faced the closest Melody virus and widened his stance, his eyes followed the bouncing virus as it hopped over the paneled floor. As soon as he felt ready, he initiated the chip's programming. His yellow reptilian eyes flashed brightly before a pair of jagged beams burst forth from his eyes. The beams converged a few inches in front of his nose, creating a larger beam that surged towards the Melody. The beam shivered violently, as if it was a continuous electrical bolt, and was veiled by small, jagged electrical discharges. KaijuMan opened his mouth to allow his real eyes to continue tracking the target while his reptilian eyes continued to blast the target with electricity.

Lining up the Canodumbs perfectly, KaijuMan threw up an explosive projectile-thingy at the turrets, and deleted them all in one fell swoop. The Melody bounced up to him in retaliation, and attempted to bash his face in. However, as he activated the MagBolt, one of them was pulled off course, causing them to bash into each other. The beams fired from Kaiju's eyes were sadly wasted, however, as he overshot the aim.

Though he was able to throw the Melody viruses off tempo, both of them continued to bounce around, much to KaijuMan's frustration. John looked at his pair of remaining chips, and slotted them into his PET one at a time. KaijuMan's eyes followed the closest melody as it bounced around, and heard the clacking sound of his vambrace blades swinging into place and veil his right claw with jagged metal blades. He lunged towards the Melody with a roar and a flash of metal. He reached out towards the Melody virus as the blades opened slightly like a futuristic bear trap.

He didn't allow the blades to snap shut until he felt the virus was in range to properly snare. He hoped to sink his blades into the bouncing virus as he drew his arm back and aimed towards the second virus. He whipped his arm forward, hopefully with virus in hand, and snapped his blades open to chuck the virus forward on a collision course with the other virus. His entire plan wasn't to destroy them by merely throwing them, he just wanted them temporarily grounded for what he was about to do next.

KaijuMan was already facing the viruses at this point, and was rapidly falling to the ground; he didn't have any wings... yet. The 1 ton virus slammed the ground with both feet with a satisfying crash, and sent a visible shockwave of kinetic energy surging towards the pair of Melody viruses. The panels shook violently and kicked up a thin layer of dust and debris as the surge of energy flowed through them in a beeline to the viruses.

Moving up to one of the Melody, Kaiju sank his bladed claws into one of the Melody, and hurled it towards the other. The recipient of the throw managed to leap up and out of the way, but then a sudden Shockwave rocked the floor, and hit them both. Racked by the attack, their attempts to go on the offensive failed as they bumped into each other in a daze.

KaijuMan's attacks were mostly successful, and had sufficiently weakened the viruses enough to be felled by his claws. The beast navi eyed the viruses hungrily, his cranial spines twitching in excitement. He picked out the closest of the two Melody viruses and dug his feet in before he lunged forward, with claws to bare. He roared aggressively as he hurtled towards his prey, and tried to deliver a downward strike with a flash of jagged steel.

He wasn't in the air for long, and he hit the ground with a loud thump. His blades remained at the ready, but his teeth started to glow, indicating he had a different fate in mind for the final virus. His eyes darted towards the bouncing melody virus, and his mouth started to open, as if he was... smiling. He waited patiently for the melody to get close, then *CHOMP* with a flash of white-hot teeth and searing heat.

His superheated maw would help melt down the virus's hide, and break down its programming into a compatible format for him to siphon.
