Slacking Off with Flowers!

As the Powie once again transformed itself into dense heavyweight form, Rafflesiana quickly followed up with a quick slice or two down the side of the doll, deleting it with only traces of junk data remaining behind. The data changed into zenny data.

"Wow! We're pretty far from the shop!" Rafflesiana had said as she collected the Zenny data and downloaded it to the PET. With the second half of ACDC's net area beyond her, she had proceeded along intended to go there as she dashed fully whether Xenneth was prepared or not.

(Battle 10, now.)
(Bump!)
(Bump!)
Rafflesiana soon stumbled across a broken panel in the middle of a large stretch of land. That alone wouldn't be unusual if not for the appearance of what seemed to be a ladder sticking out of it. As she peered in to investigate, a large plump navi popped his head out of the hole.

"Who are you?" He asked as he scrambled to climb out.

He was a rather plump looking navi with long, lanky arms and legs. He finished exiting the hole and quickly retrieved his ladder before looking Rafflesiana over.

"Are you trying to steal my treasure?" He snapped, "I won't let you!"

There seemed to be no sense in talking with him as he was set on defending whatever 'treasure' was hidden here. Before she could even explain herself, she had been forced into yet another fight for her life.

~"Argh! Gimme your booty at once!"

"Hey, you!" the Flower Navi had cried out in bitterness as she had shaken her fist, "We're not after your crappy treasure, so leave us alo-"

All of the sudden, Rafflesiana had stopped. All the nerves in her brain had started to switch going from negative and lectures little girl all the way to the spoiled and rotten little personality.

"D-did you say treasure?"

She had a mischievous smile upon her face. Her face showing a greedy little smile and her hands coming together with a clap. Usually she was a nice little girl. She was very much easy going, always being polite to those who saw her, and biting heads off when someone stepped on her pumps; you know, the usual of a teenage girl. However, when it came to greed, she was no exception. With her hands rubbing together enough to make friction spark fire and her sound chuckle sounding less innocent by the minute, she had reeked of bad intentions.

"R-Rafflesiana!"

Darn it all! Her conscious were calling, or rather the voice of a certain violet haired goody two shoes NetOp. She had rolled her eyes, a bit upset that Xenneth had spoke out so loudly and read her like a book. Had she become so obvious over a short time that even the slow ditz caught on to what she was up to? It was awfully upsetting considering that just a moment ago she was wishing that he was not such a clueless ditz.

"W-w-what?! I was just curious! Okay, XenXen?"

A sigh emitted from Xenneth's mouth, and he had only given her the benefit of the doubt. By the minute, time had pressed, and Xenneth needed to get himself out of this confrontation since this was not just any person, but rather a real NetNavi that was getting in a real altercation with the two. Opening a vidscreen with a push of his button upon his P.E.T, he had displayed his feminine life face within the NetArea by via communication to Rafflesiana's left and top side a few metes above her head.

The NetNavi seemed big and bulky to Xenneth's appearance, of course, he was not someone the gentle violet haired boy wanted to get into a fight with.

"Do what you want, but he looks ready to fight! I'm putting up Pollen Veil just in case!"

It was not like she had a choice. With a sweep of her hand at her feet and her body being surrounded with a veil of pollen, Rafflesiana had seemed to fold her arms and stare towards the big bulk figure as he seemed ready to fight, but she was not. With a grunt of her voice sounding upset, and another sigh of the violet haired boy's breath, he had looked up letting his sapphire eyes display on the screen set upon the figure.

"Umm...excuse me sir," Xenneth had addressed him gently, "But...we're just travelers. We wanted to walk through this area since this is my first time exploring the net. I don't even know anything about some treasure....so...umm...can we please pass by you?"

Diplomacy over the distinct sound of unbearable gunfire. That's how the violet haired boy worked. With her arms tossing with their fold and her mouth letting out a "huff," Rafflesiana had glared towards the figure as she had spoke up agreeing with the violet haired boy.

"Yeah! Let us through. We don't have time to fight, and I really don't feel like getting my clothes dirty just because you're wet behind the ears!"

A bitter agreement, but straight to the point as Rafflesiana prepared herself to make a hasty dodge just in case the NetNavi tried to fight.

At Rafflesiana's sudden and perky interest in his treasure, Ladderman redoubled his efforts and angrily swiped his ladder in her face. It glanced off the cloud of pollen around her, dispersing the poofy mist. Xenneth's polite pleas fell on deaf ears as the navi stabbed his ladder into the floor and quickly clambered up the steps in an instant and disappeared into the sky.

Rafflesiana's spiteful comments, however, were met with a bowling ball that dropped from the sky. It crashed right in front of her, leaving another large crack in the panel ahead. It was followed up by a potted cactus that landed nearby that rolled towards her but was effectively side stepped.

Ladderman slid back down, enraged that she was still alive, "MY TREASURE! MY TREASURE!"

~"How to tame a beast? Beat 'em up!"

"Whoop! Gutter Ball!"

Rafflesiana had cried out humorously as the bowling ball had made a miss, but she did not take too kindly to the aggressive attitude. Xenenth in awe, and herself a bit peeved at being attacked by a guy, this man was clearly out of his mind. Realizing this, the Flower Girl had decided that playing nice was over as she quickly whipped her right hand casting it towards the heavens and watching as a sleeve full of pollen had caught the wind before blowing over her and protecting her once more from physical harm.

"That's it!" she had cried in a rage, "This guy has to go, XenXen! He ALMOST hit me." she had said with Xenneth frowning.

He was hesitant. Himself seeing the upset NetNavi, part of him wanted to calm him down while the other half wanted to make sure nothing to happen to Rafflesiana. In order to do that, he had to think defensively, and now was a good time to bring those new battlechips he had received into play as he had given them a glance, but decided the time was not now. Protecting came first, and he thus went for "Guard1" as his basic beginning battlechip.

"O-okay Rafflesiana," he had cooed, "I'll send Guard to you, but you have to work around the field right quick so he won't hurt you!"

Rafflesiana had nodded her head and complied happily. Taking her first step to the side to avoid the fresh cracked panel that was in front of her, she had continued and spun her body into action as she whipped forward and ran forward charging to close in upon the NetNavi. He seemed like he would be difficult...well...not to beat, but difficult to manage with in general. He looked silly and he liked to use ladders and drop stuff. It reminded Xenneth so much of his mother when she went into the attic and cleaned out all of their old stuff.

With that annoying thought aside, Xenneth had prepared the battlechip as he retrieved it and slid it between his fingers while Rafflesiana had closed in with her left arm lifted and right arm flicking her wrist as two green arrows had freshly loaded themselves onto the crossbow like object that formed upon her left wrist. Upon lifting the large rubber pull back string, she had aimed carefully for the Netnavi before stopping in her path with a slight slide.

"Eat this!" she had yelled, "Rafflesi-Arrow!"

With a long cry and her right hand pulling back before letting go, two of her freshly green arrows that were aimed into the distance had pressed forward aiming to strike the enemy from where she stood. The range was not close, but it was not far. It was an average medium range giving her some optimum space to work with up until it was time for her to back off or try to hold her ground. She really was taking this "Attack a girl" thing personally...or was it the treasure.

The thought had not crossed Xenneth's mind. As determined as ever, the violet haired boy had quickly lifted his right hand with the chip slid between it and quickly slapped it into the side slot of his P.E.T.

"Guard! Battlechip in, power up!"

With the Battlechip slot into place and data sent, Rafflesiana had intended to hold her ground where she stood. Her palms had raised before her face as they had blocked the lower half of her vision, the top half going to the distant Ladder toting enemy as she had glared towards him. She would have her vengeance that were demanded by the laws of chivalry....or to steal some treasure.

Lifting the ladder above his head, Ladderman made a fierce downward swing and punched it through the floor before sliding down into the hole it created. Rafflesiana's Rafflesi-Arrow just barely missed him, leaving two wooden shafts embedded in the floor behind him. The top of the ladder retracted itself into the pit, leaving the flowery navi alone on the field. There was only silence as she produced a Guard to protect herself from the inevitable counterattack.

A voice coming from underneath her feet whimpered, "...Uh oh."

She looked down reflexively, expecting to be attacked but instead only heard the light scramble of footsteps leading away from her. Ladderman burst out of a different hole and ran a short distance as two Rattons bullets crawled out after him and rushed Rafflesiana. One splashed against her pollen barrier while the other exploded on her Guard, sending a shockwave back at her opponent.

"Ouch!" He yelped, rubbing his back where he was struck.

~"Rats! I hate rats!"

Most of remorse and forgiveness had gone with the wind. That's what happened when one would be as so sneaky as to set a trap after all. When it came to Rafflesiana, the Flower Girl with the heart of a teenager, if there was anything she hated more than an aggressor towards girls, a smiling ugly black music note, and a whiney NetOp for a partner, then it would have to be rats. Yes, rats! They did not to be just rats in all general physical aspects, but anyone who would sneak up on the girl with the intention of hurting her was a rat too.

She was upset, cringing. Even with the sight of the NetNavi's backside in pain, she did not spare any expenses as she growled and gazed on towards the enemy's backside while the remnants of pollen had begun to blow around her body once more.

"Xenneth!"
she had yelled in a demanding way, "Send the shotgun!"

"W-w-what?" The first time the NetOp had gotten such an outwardly demand hearing the NetNavi. He had let his eyes slide from his chip pocket that was upon his pouch on his side. Reaching and taking out a single battlechip, he had watched as he could see the image and slot it quickly into his P.E.T. The sound of Rafflesiana's voice was intimidating after all, and she did not sound like she was playing around for some reason or another with the pitch of her voice.

"Shotgun! Battle chip in, download!"

With the Battlechip slotted into the empty P.E.T slot and Rafflesiana's right hand vanishing beneath her sleeve that was the surrounding floral petals, there was nothing more than a concealed black barrel as it was pointed towards the distant NetNavi's back.

"If you think that hurts Fat Boy," she had cried with her insult fueled by her rage, "Wait til' you feel this!"

The sleeve of her arm had sounded off with an echoing barrel as a quick shot of shotgun fire was blasted forward in an instant from the aggressive Flower Girl. A bit upset that the NetNavi would dare to sneak up behind her like so still, she had only begun to let out her aggressive assault as she abandoned all means for defensive all except for her veil of pollen that continuously been scattered and formed around her each time.

This was getting out of hand, and Rafflesiana might ending up hurting someone, mainly herself and the enemy in one foul explosion if she did not get a grasp on her anger. It was because of this that Xenneth thought it would be reasonable that he took it upon his self to raise a defense. Seeing this, he knew he could do something that would obstruct the opponent all while supplying Rafflesiana with a reasonable ground to protect her with.

"I'll try the new chip!" he had said, "Wind! Battlechip in, download!"

With the giant box that was a motorized fan appearing by Rafflesiana's side, it had begun to turn with a soft hum. As the box blew continuously, a strong gale of wind had swept through the enemy's area intending to obstruct his movements, even his escapes if he could not act quickly. Rafflesiana who had never seen the box until it finally appeared right beside her was amused by the sight of the strange machinery since she did not recall getting the data in any battle.

It seemed that Xenneth was quite the cyber sleuth when she turned her back away for a moment.

"Ah! Good idea Xenneth!" Rafflesiana had said as she addressed her attention to the Wind Box which slightly confused Xenneth. "I can use the wind from this box to blow that rat straight to hell!" she had said with an evil grin upon her face, and judging from how she snickered after wards, she might as well meant it as he could see she was still having a fit. "Xenneth! Send me Heatshot!"

Sighing, Xenneth felt he did not really have any say in the matter. When it came to the NetNavi's temper and personal vendettas to launch all out assaults, he really had no say in the matter, and if he did, it would involve him being yelled at, called some kind of "Tree Hugger' and then him giving into the demands anyway. Realizing this, he had simply sighed and spoke with a sulky voice.

"Heatshot...battlechip in....and...download."

With the Flower Girl's hand engulfing in flames, she had slapped them together as she had laughed viciously while staring towards the direction of the ladder spawning NetNavi. With a malicious laugh and her eyes going to the fan, she had unleashed a blast of her Heatshot in the direction of the NetNavi, her arms adjust so the path of wind would meet with that of her flames in order to give it a more "explosive" result to her attack if it would make contact with the NetNavi.

"Burn rat! Burn!" she had chanted viciously.

Xenneth could only watch a bit embarrassed and remembering this was his partner that was raising hell after all.

Fortunately though, by activating her Windbox, the various items that started to fall from above were blown off course. Two large pies and a jar of unidentified goop splattered far away from her before Ladderman descended back to ground level. She attacked with her Heatshot but he blocked it off by deftly swatting it away with his ladder.

~"When all full assaults fail, calm down?"

Rafflesiana had been quite taken aback, especially to see that her Heatshot attack had been simply swatted away. It had to be one hell of a ladder for the Heatshot not to explode upon contact, or the realism of that last negation was lacking. Either way, it was pretty obvious that her techniques were not working. It only made her more upset seeing that not only did the sneaky, annoying Navi, not only tried a series of funny business, but got away with it. She could not let that simply fly. It was too much of an injustice.

Not that she knew anything about "Justice" seeing she was quite bold herself.

"Rafflesiana! Calm down!"
Xenneth had chanted to the Flower Girl, "He's only going to keep blocking out attacks, so we have to come up with a better plan."

The Flower NetNavi calming down, her lips pressing together to hum a melody, she had found her "happy place" despite all the recent chaos that went through her head. Now focus and setting her eyes upon the enemy, a plan did start to formulate, but it was not quite there. Mostly was the problem with this enemy and his ladders being used to get away from her attacks to the point that he seemed beyond annoying whenever she thought about how he could make a fool of her attempts once again.

"Let's throw something at him and hope for the best!"

It was obvious that she was angry all over again, so this meant Xenneth had to think.

With the violet haired boy letting thoughts fly through his head, it would be perfect if the enemy was stunned or unable to move. However, he was not as fortunate because of the fact through all of this, he had thus far been able to escape Rafflesiana's attacks by going underground. However, was there not a sign that he could perhaps use this information to his advantage? Realizing this, Xenneth had smiled as he reached to his side and checked his inventory of Battlechips. Himself letting his eyes go back to the screen to see Rafflesiana and call out to her.

"Rafflesiana!" he had called with his loud voice, "Use your arrows to distract him, but we'll need to get from around these holes! We'll get him this time!"

She was slightly confused, curious to what the young boy had formulated in mind for a plan. Seeing this, she had quickly lifted her left arm as she had seemed to place a smile on her face. Unsure of the plan, she had simply followed orders. She was the NetNavi after all, and it felt good to see that her "Fearless Leader" was starting to take some action after all these times that he had thus been silent. Taking the first step, she had quickly moved her body about the battlefield as she spun from behind any obscure openings upon the field.

Her arrows were slightly different. They were angled upwards and the pull of them was slightly sleeker than they should be. With a slight pull and a slant, she had fired her arrows as they went into the sky slanted and begun to descend with them both raining upon the enemy with the intention to make their hit.

"Shockwave! Battlechip in, Download!"

"Ah! I get it! Nice one XenXen!"

Rafflesiana's right hand lifted into the air before quickly plummeted down delivering a slap upon the cyber terrain. Coursing along the path and hidden within the turbulent winds of the area, a shockwave had traveled upon the terrain as it swept along aiming for the distant Ladderman, as its primary target. It was like a double deal for the navi as there were a set of arrows aiming to strike two different places at once, and then there was a Shockwave aiming to sweep it from under its feet. It was pretty obvious that the violet haired boy had figured out that it would take more than burrowing to escape the arrows and more than just a simple counter attack to stop the shockwave from sweeping it off its feet. Rafflesiana had to admit, she was impressed that the NetOp had even though of something so devious.

Maybe she was rubbing off on him?

Passive Action - Pollen Veil - Generate Barrier (10 HP)

Action 1 — Evade placement of holes (Increase chance of ground-based attacks.)

Action 2 — Rafflesi-Arrow - 20 Wood Damage (x2 Hits ) @ Ladderman

Action 3 — Shockwave - 40 Damage (+Pierce/Ground/Line) @ Ladderman
Rafflesiana shirked around the various broken panels to try and close the distance between herself and Ladderman. While she did so, he picked up his ladder again but instead of stabbing it into the ground, he extended it and gave it an enormous swing and swiped it at the windbox. The motorized fan was batted far into the distance like it was some kind of ball and crashed facedown, rendering it completely useless.

This surprised Rafflesiana, but not enough for her to abandon her plan. Loading two more arrows into her makeshift crossbow, she let loose two arced bolts that sailed their way towards Ladderman's position. One struck its mark, embedding itself in his shoulder but the other one fell short and landed beside him.

"Aigh!" He winced as he plucked the rosy dart from his body.

Rafflesiana let loose a Shockwave at her opponent but he was already in the process of repeating his last action. Setting his ladder down, he shot up the steps and rained down more items from above. Unfortunately for Rafflesiana, dedicating too much power into pulling off her Shockwave left her with little time to avoid the counter attack. A large vase crashed down beside her and shattered in a shower of shards, barely missing her. But the two scalding hot pies that followed landed right on top of her pollen barrier in a splash of burning blueberry and agonizing apple. The molten filling seeped down through the faint grains of flowery mist and managed to sear her.

~"Strike, Evade, Circulate!"

"Ugh!"

Rafflesiana liked potted plants, but not now of all times. Feeling the sting of the damage she had taken from the attack, she had tried to recuperate as she had taken the time to stand up and prepare herself for another round. She had hit him, and it was with Xenneth's idea which was something she was proud of. She could not let her violet haired ally however upstage her. Noticing this, she had quickly switched to the offensive once again upon taking damage.

"Rafflesiana! You need to get close!" Xenneth had cried out as she looked towards the enemy.

That was easier said than done. Swiping her hand over her head to sway a breeze to surround her with a veil of pollen while glaring towards the distant Ladder wielding freak, she could only come up with some of the most minor solutions. After a while, it had occurred to her that in order to get in close, she would have to quickly act and use her acrobatics, but the field covered in holes around her still posted a problem. She would need a distract while she had accomplished that task.

"XenXen, that's easier said than done, hun!" she had called, "If he sees me up to something, he's only going to try and stop me! I can't do both at once!" she had chimed.

Xenneth was on the ball thinking once again. He was not going to be dead weight to Rafflesiana, and to prove that, he had quickly reached to his side taking a battlechip and seeing the data which was the image of "Cornsht" that had displayed itself upon his view. It was one of the newer chips, just like the Windbox. Perhaps it could help, and perhaps there was a way to turn this match around with a sudden unexpected surprise attack?

It was worth a try, and digging once more he had pulled out a Cannon battlechip that was in his possession.

"Rafflesiana! C-c-can I try something else? I think we can catch him off guard, but you'll have to be quick, and...y-you'll have to trust me on this, please?"

The boy had another idea? He was on fire, wasn't he? If he was making up for his screw ups, then maybe he was making some progress. Hearing Xenneth ask of such a thing, Rafflesiana had her mouth open a little hesitant, but all in all, she had smiled seeing she liked the sound of his brainstorming. Rafflesiana would have to be ready for whatever idea the boy had and put faith in it. Judging how he had been trying lately, and seeing he was doing good, she could tag along, right?

That's what friends did for each other after all.

"Okay Xenneth, let's try what you have..." she had said modestly. With Xenneth head bobbing, lighting up with bliss, he had prepared himself as he quickly reached into his chip satchel along his hip and juggled in hand a total of three chips.

"Okay, first things first..." he had begun, "RageClaw! Battlechip in, Download!"

Rafflesiana's right hand had transformed into a grotesque assortment of nails that formed a claw. Her eyes had went to her opponent, but the words of Xenneth fresh in her mind from their communication, she had whipped her head to the corner of the area where the Windbox was blown behind her. She had focused her attention upon the downed box as she spoke.

"Alright XenXen, here goes nothing!"

Rafflesiana had whipped her right hand backwards, and then cast it forward while letting her grip slide from the RageClaw. Of course the RageClaw had properties to toss items about frantically, so why not giving it a boost to something such as a tilted obstacle with its massive strength. If it was enough to knock the WindBox into a tilt, then surely the wind itself would do the rest to blow it back upwards to stand up right, and even more so, help Rafflesiana set off the next part of her trick that was proposed by the boy.

"Cornshot! Battlechip in, download!"

Rafflesiana had quickly turned her attention back to the enemy. As said, she had to be at two places at once while doing two things at once, so she right now attacked. Her aim going to the distant Ladderman, she had prepared the blasting function as the corn stalk unraveled and revealed its form. Exploding outward, the bulb had let off two large stalks of corn as one intended to hit the enemy dead on while the other homed in with a Trick Shot function making it hard to escape. If their idea to set their fan "topside" once again worked, then that meant it would be twice as harder to dodge which was an added bonus thanks to the idea of the violet haired boy.

Rafflesiana was liking this, but did not look forward to the last step of the plan.

"XenXen," she had called out, "I just wanted you to know that I don't like flying." she had said.

Xenneth had laughed modestly while taking the last battlechip, but his face was filled with concern before adding back the serious expression upon it. "We can't stop now Rafflesiana! This is our only chance!" His right hand tossing the last battelchip available to Rafflesiana as of right now, he had pressed it in before it could make a sound "click" confirming it's load.

"Cannon! Battlechip in, download!"

Rafflesiana acted quickly, turning her back to her opponent and her hands pressing the barrel of the Cannon to the ground, she had gritted her teeth before swallowing deeply upon realizing what was about to occur. With her right hand signaling the "trigger" function for the cannon, she fired off a round as she intended to send herself rocketing into the sky.

"Eeeiyaaaah!"

Her dress had been flipping and flying in the wind as she had sky rocketed upwards, but that was only an advantage seeing the Windbox would send her light body sailing to her desired destination if planned right. Her jump would be a means of flight to close some distance between herself and the elusive Ladderman who had given her trouble from a distance, but she would not let that remain for long. If Xenneth's plan would go smoothly, she would have to praise the boy, and even if not, she still admired the effort, right?

Passive Action - Pollen Veil - Generate Barrier (10 HP)

Action 1 — Rage Claw (Toss!) - 40 Damage (+Impact/Knock Windbox upright) @ Windbox

Action 2 — CrnShot1 - 50 Wood Damage (x2 Shots +Trick Shot + 5 Elemental Damage) @ Ladderman

Action 3 — Cannon - 40 Damage (Aimed at ground/Skyrocket into Wind Breeze)
Rafflesiana set to work trying to upright her windbox with her thrown Rageclaw. Unfortunately, the plan didn't work nearly as well as she had hoped seeing as the considerable distance between her and her target reduced the impact of the attack. The Rageclaw smacked against the side of the box, which was quite the accomplishment in itself, but failed to accomplish her goal. The box stayed down, albeit more damaged than before.

Meanwhile, Ladderman punched another hole in the ground and took to his private underground network. Rafflesiana's first Cornshot projectile missed its mark but the other one with its homing function curved into the chasm after him and exploded with a sequence of cascading pops. She wasn't about to give up and tried to rush her opponent with a Cannon jump. She flew up a remarkable height and got a decent view of the whole arena for the few brief seconds her eyes remained open. She could see her failed Windbox and four large potholes scattered about. Junk like broken pots and spoiled pies littered the landscape as well. This was probably what Ladderman saw whenever he climbed up this far. But that was a fleeting thought as she quickly descended back down from her improvised launch.

Her landing point looked clear until two more ratton bullets crawled out from the broken panels to meet her. With no way to stop them, she braced herself as she landed on the explosive mice. Her pollen barrier was blown away and she had the wind knocked out of her in one large blast. Ladderman had meanwhile crawled back out of his hole and looked rather smug.

"No one can take my treasure from me." He quipped.

~"Uh-oh! I've been foiled by Bat-...umm...Ladderman?!"~[/center]

"N-No...! Rafflesiana!"

Xenneth had gasped in horror as the explosive impact had been too much for him to bare. Upon the explosive blast, there was nothing but the scattering of pollen and crumbling and roaring of the dying blast's sound while the proud Ladderman had stood up confidently. Beside the opponent, Xenneth could only stare at that spot simmering with dust and debris left behind from the impact of the bombs. He had lost all his breath, probably as much as Rafflesiana as he was wandering if she was anymore.

"I-I....I..."

The sight of it was horrible. This reminded him about the battle against that massive Swordy Virus. The enemy was as strong as this Navi, or maybe it was this NetNavi that was even stronger. It was a crucial situation, and Xenneth could only imagine Rafflesiana maybe knocked out or lost consciousness after such a blast. If he did nothing, she would be deleted, but what could he do? His plans were failing, and the first had barely worked in the first place. The second one completely fail leaving damage, and not considering Rafflesiana's safety.

Maybe he should have stuck being a worry wart in the first place.

The smoke stack of where Rafflesiana had stood was heavy, and he was feeling that perhaps she was helpless if not deleted not hearing the electronic voice sound off. His eyes had started to become moist with fresh tears readying to run along his cheeks. His sapphire irises staring at the P.E.T. helplessly. He could not even manage to even slide in a single chip. He had felt helpless.

"I'm...sorry, Rafflesiana!"

*SWOOSH!*

From the smoke stack had came a piercing bullet of wind. Two bullets if one could focus their attention. Sweeping across the area with the fastest of speed, both of the thin arrows had aimed directly for Ladderman's center as he was in his proud stance. Both of them was flying so quickly, they had an intention to imply a very powerful puncture that was like an unexpected shot to an assassination. The only reaction to it from the young violet haired boy was a draw of breath as he tried to breathe once again.

"W-w-what?!"

His eyes going on to the smoke stack as it begun to clear. The very form of a skirt slightly lifted by the right arching with a bend of the knee, and a right hand reaching to the left as with the pull back of the bow's rubber tree like pulley was freshly launched and now fading as the NetNavi's left wrist had turned back to normal. It was at that moment that a smirk was upon the face of the Flower Girl who took a pose while sitting upon her backside with a flowing veil of pollen about her body.

"Sorry? What are you sorry about? We got this in the bag!"

The cocky voice of the NetNavi had been loud and shrill once more. Her hands reached back while Xenneth was surprised, too surprised for words. Her placement had signaled for her powers to flow from her arms and to the body of the Cyber Area before swinging her legs behind her and settling upon her knees and pushing her palms upon the ground leaving Xenneth to watch.

"Powers of the Earth! Send me a miracle!"

Upon cue, Rafflesiana's words had caused for the land to begin flourishing before her very finger tips. Some of them covering the cyber area, and even some aiming to repair some of the open holes upon their creation as Rafflesiana intended to do with a smirk. Her eyes had gone to the distant Ladderman as she seemed to be glaring at the enemy with an intention. She felt confident that she figured things out, so much so that she was not even complaining about the sight of those "rats" once again.

"Great job with your plan, XenXen!" Raflfesiana had said making Xenneth draw back in shock as he perked his head up, "When you launched me into the air, I could see where all these holes were, and I'm aware of where to keep my eye on! Like I said, I knew I can count on you!"

With a wink, the Flower Girl had sealed her words truly. "R-Rafflesiana..." The violet haired boys could not give a full response because he was actually rethinking about his comments about himself, about how his plans were useless. Even though he did not purposely help her, he did, and some fortune came out of his tactics. Not only did he learn, but he also felt lucky to know that Rafflesiana found opportunity from his mistakes, but he was sorry that she had to go through them.

"What are you waiting for, XenXen! Let's go!"

Rafflesiana had chanted causing Xenneth to lift his head quickly. He had realized he had to quickly get back into the battle for Rafflesiana's sake. Nodding his head and reaching to his side, he had once again prepared a set of battlechips insisting that the Flower Girl Netnavi would still need his help to pull off a victory. Rafflesiana, weakened from her grounded position had readily got on her right knee prepared to roll forward in order to dodge and close a little distance between herself and Ladderman while doing so.</span>

Passive Action - Pollen Veil - Generate Barrier (10 HP)

Action 1 — Rafflesi-Arrow - 20 Wood Damage (x2 Shots) @ Ladderman

Action 2 — SetGrass (Grass Zone around Rafflesiana)

Action 3 — Dodge Roll (Forward...Roll!)
Ladderman reacted with lightning speed and raised his ladder to block the arrows... Which wasn't entirely the greatest idea as one of them slipped right through the huge gaps between the rungs and struck him in the chest. The other actually hit the ladder itself so it wasn't a total loss for him. Upset at being hit again with the same attack, Ladderman ascended into the sky. This was starting to become an easily recognized pattern. Expecting things to soon fall from the sky, Rafflesiana activated her Set Grass NCP which filled up three of the four holes and expanded quite a distance out from her position. It even managed to reach the Windbox, which soon disintegrated into bits of data having spent its energy quota.

A large ivory bust of a navi in a contemplative pose landed beside her and kept her on her feet. It was soon followed by another cactus that rolled out of its shattered clay pot towards her. She managed to keep clear of its path before she was bowled over. Staying on the grass had a minor recuperative effect on her but also put a limit on how far she would be able to dodge if she wanted to maintain its effect.

Meanwhile, Ladderman slid back down to ground level and was distraught to find neither of his attacks had hit.

~"Keep believing in me."

Rafflesiana had dodged the NetNavi's attacks, but she could only keep up the routine for so long against the elusive Ladderman. Realizing that the NetNavi had missed and his attacks were becoming more predictable by the moment, Rafflesiana was able to get past for now, but what further concerned her was getting in close to the enemy which was becoming a hassle for every moment she had spent trying to stay in place. Eventually, the NetNavi would unleash some kind of other attack and destroy her precious land.

This also worried Xenneth who thought on a same plain, but he was hesitant. Looking at the few battlechips he had owned, there were only two to his name. His lips pressing with some concern, and his eyes going to the distant LadderMan and still Rafflesiana, he had thought carefully, sitting back waiting for Rafflesiana to suggest something most likely rather than listening to his "instincts." After all, he could not do this alone...

...He was no leader.

"It's all you...Xen."

The sound of the voice perking his voice up as he drew a breath after a gasp. His eyes had gone to his P.E.T seeing Rafflesiana in wait as she stared forward towards Ladderman. She had let her hands lower as she had simply stood in a pose readying to react with her body slightly squatted and a smirk on her face. "You're my NetOp, right? So...like, let's get going! I want to hear another one of your plans!"

She was being modest, but Xenneth accepted it. He had smiled warmly, somewhat hesitant as he was shy about giving a command. However, standing around was not going to get the job done. He swallowed deeply trying to think whether to go with that queasy feeling in his gut that was about to peak to make the right choice, and the other feeling that was telling him to "forget it."

"Come on," Rafflesiana urged, "Go with what you feel!"

What he felt? It was the usual tactic. To cower and make sure Rafflesiana was safe before rushing in to attack the enemy. Standing there thinking, he knew if this is what he honestly want, he should at least give it a shot since Rafflesiana offered. He nodded his head as his right hand holding his only last two chips shuffled the items about his palm; doing so he had prioritized the Battlechipe "Recov30" between his fingers before nodding his head.

"R-right...we'll...wait and recuperate." He had said making it Rafflesiana's cue to take a step letting her clothing release another veil of pollen that swept into a breeze around her body.

"Recov30! Battlechip in, download!"

Rafflesiana, bathing in a heavenly green aura, had spread her arms as she let her body be soothed by the energy of the recovery battlechip. Her eyes closed for the moment before opening once again after her soothing healing session, she had once again set her sights on Ladderman. She had stood her ground on the grass panels expecting one of his attacks to be another long swipe with the ladder, or else, another one of his dropped items, so she quickly leapt backwards upon her grass panels only to kneel and prepare to dodge forward with another roll.

She had followed Xenneth's plan this turn once again, to wait and see what kind of "plan" he would come up with while Rafflesiana had waited in the wind keeping her eyes out for the Ladder toting NetNavi's attacks. So far, this battle has put her on edge because of her problems with the enemy, but she would take care of him...

...no! She "and" Xenneth would both take care of him.

Action 1 — Recov30 - 30 Recovery Points @ Rafflesiana

Action 2 — Jump back! (Swift Dodge back!)

Action 3 — Jump Forward (Swift Dodge forward! [Two-step! LULZ!])
While the Recov30 chip was applied to heal Rafflesiana's systems, Ladderman simply stood there, counting something on his fingers. He looked fairly focussed as a sad look dawned on his face. Instead of climbing up his ladder, he instead took to adding two extra levels to his tower of steps. His ladder took on a faint glow as he finished his work. The remainder of the round seemed to consist of him and Rafflesiana dodging around one another, each awkwardly waiting for the other to strike first and psyching the other out.

~"Time to hurt someone's feelings!"

"Be careful Rafflesiana..."

Upon Xenneth's words, Rafflesiana had lifted her left arm as she presented upon it her Crossbow weapon. Her movement was swift and spontaneous breaking the stall between the two NetNavis who had waited so long to engage into combat with each other. With her right hand going back and pulling two fresh arrows into a sling, she had let go only to let the two arrows rip through the air and barrel towards her target in a swift speed.

Such a move was feeble, and most likely predictable. The damage would not be much, or even slight if it hit, but Rafflesiana knew this because it was a distraction. She had taken it upon herself to follow through with Xenneth's plan, and it was that to get in close to the enemy. She did do good in terms of close-combat after all, and seeing her final battlechip was that of her BambooKnife, then closing the proximity between the two meant that she would be able to strike the enemy when the time was right.

Rushing forward towards Ladderman, Rafflesiana had intended to quickly get into close range of him. Her eyes had seem to have a violent streak upon them if one were to glance, and even furthermore, she seemed like she was going to crash directly into the NetNavi. It was a simple fake-out that seemed to encourage the enemy to strike, and at that that time, Rafflesiana would be able to respond with the most simplest of tactic that was a dodge.

Her mind set, her feet padding against the ground, just the moment she had gotten in close range, she had dodged with swift tuck and roll along the terrain while her hand was ready to touch down and getting at the blind side of the bulk NetNavi.
