Spark Café

Sabrina led the group to the cafe, and promptly entered. Looking around, the group found Ryan exactly where they found him earlier; he was nestled in the exact same table, with the same flashing red-numbered clock ticking away in front of him. Cleaning his glasses, he looked up and noticed the group. Waving to them, he gestured to the empty seats near him. The clock showed 5:37 in large red numbers. He took his time cleaning, then put the spectacles on and clasped his fingers in front of him.

"I must say, that was quick. I expected you a fine day or two later. How strange. Ah well, you youngsters must be anxious to find out what this all means for you three."

Chuckling to himself, he took the clock in front of him and pressed into its side. The display on the front shut down, and three slots appeared atop the clock. From the slots, three shining golden battlechips was dispensed, which Ryan took. The chip looked just like any other battlechip besides the color, though nothing seemed to be imprinted on its front except for a strange-looking emblem in the shape of a black crow. He slid the chips across the table in front of the youngsters and explained it to them.

"That is a datastore chip, which contains all of your rewards. Each of you may take one, and slot it into your PET, which will automatically transfer it there," he said. Taking his glasses yet again, he looked at them seriously while he wiped them down for what seemed like the millionth time already. "Now... your half of the bargain?"

Rose was almost ecstatic. She'd seen Mr. Jetto again, and hadn't made a fool of herself. Beyond that, he and his wife had come through. They were finally done.

Once they'd made it inside, the ma was glad to see that they'd made it back, and surprised by Sabrina's announcement that they'd gotten everything. And then he handed them their rewards.

The pool was incredible. The zenny was nothing to sneeze at, but Rose knew she had other things she had to get first: two more object chips. After a bit of discussion, Rose and her friends had settled on how they wanted to split the rewards, and Rose downloaded her share.

"Sweet. Not quite beyond belief, like I may have hoped, but this is fairly decent. I got what I wanted from the pool, and the pool itself is a fair stash."

SummonerMan wasn't as concerned with the theme Rose had going, but was excited to see the new chips at his disposal. He also may have hoped that new chips would mean a chance to stretch his legs and try out some of his functions.

Then the man seemed to be waiting for something. His words were what snapped Rose back into it. She quickly fiddled through her pockets, and the things she'd brought with her.

She handed over the book she'd gotten signed, originally for herself. She was alright with that, though. She added to that the chip she'd gotten.

Which reminded her: "Oh yeah, Edward Cohen says 'Hi.' He asked me share his greetings with you." She informed him. She could only imagine he knew who she was talking about, since the man had known his name.

It also struck her, after she placed those things on the table, that Sabrina had taken the majority of the things they'd had. So it'd be up to her to lay the remainder out for him.

Rose wasn't too worried though, They'd finished their mission, did everything they had to, and now had been sufficiently rewarded.

((OOC: Get: 3500 Zenny, AirRaid1, MetalGear1))
Without even thinking, Sabrina snatched up the chip and watched the potential rewards pop up on her PET. Not quite the 'holy cow, this is the best mission reward ever' she was hoping for, but some things caught her eye. And after some discussion, she was able to get that stuff. Now, to transfer her split to her PET...

"Sabrina got: 3500 zennys!!!"
"Sabrina got: Attack+20!!!"
"Sabrina got: PickPocket!!!"

She wasn't entirely sure why it gave her those messages, but whatever. She had them, and that was what mattered. Now that she had her stuff, time to give the guy his stuff.

Let's see...the old Process Upgrade from the Navi Shop, check. The Vision Plaque from DenTech, check. The two non-functioning battlechips from her father, check. The NetCafe's last three secret listings, check. And the boiled egg her mother made, check. And all of that, combined with Rose's book and chip, was everything on the list. And as a bonus, her fanny pack was a bit lighter now.

Sabrina let out an immense sigh at all of this, feeling a certain amount of relief that the mission was finally over. It felt like it took a lot longer than it actually did, for some reason...
Zeo took his reward chip along with the others, inserting it and checking out the data they were to receive for their comprehensive hunt. The chips listed weren't terribly straightforward when it came to dealing damage, aside from Attack+20, which pretty much spoke for itself. Despite the potential benefits of said chip, Zeo found himself more interested in the Counter chip's practical uses. After deliberating with Sabrina and Rose, he managed to secure the chip and a fair bit of zenny for his only receiving one chip. Fine by me, he thought as he transferred the data.

He didn't have anything to present afterward, so instead Zeo watched Rose and Sabrina hand over the items they'd worked so hard to get, smiling at the book and frowning at the process upgrade. When all was said and done, Zeo was relieved that their "mission" was finally over. I wonder if everything we got was actually right, he thought. It'd be a little awkward if we got something wrong after all this. The man seemed fine as they'd surrendered their findings, so hopefully they were really done.

Zeo looked back towards the door, then at his companions. He wasn't about to simply excuse himself and run, so he waited for someone else to say something. Maybe Sabrina would do that. Regardless, Zeo instead busied himself with happily staring at his new zenny total.

((Get: 8000z and Counter1))
Ryan smiled calmly as all the items were presented to him, but he didn't show any particular reaction to anything. Lazily picking up the poker chip in his hand, he twirled it around. "Mm, Cohen, was it?" he muttered, a wistful look in his eyes. "Well, that's fine. It was nice meeting you all." Putting down the chip, he proceeded to examine the items the three had brought, as if ignoring them. Suddenly, he snapped to something, and looked up from his antics. Putting away the clock, he glanced around, as if looking for something.

"Oh yeah, pick up a muffin or something at the counter on your way out," said Ryan, thumbing at the pastries near the counter. "On the house."
Rose was very pleased with the results. They were finally, one hundred percent done.

Apparently he wasn't too concerned or responsive in general about the man who had seemed to know him.

The man also offered them muffins. Rose politely declined, of course. She had had enough for the day. She was just about ready to head home. So she told her friends.

"Hey, do you guys want a ride home?" she then realized that, despite their friendship, she had yet to exchange info with Sabrina. So she quickly pulled out two cards and a pen, and handed them to Sabrina. "By the way, could you give me your info so I could stay in touch? You can keep one of the cards for my info."

Zeo already had her info, and she had his. They'd exchanged it the last time she'd driven him home. Rose figured if they were going to become such good friends, it would make sense for her to stay in touch with Sabrina.

After her friends answered, she planned to head out to the car and drive everyone who had wanted a ride to their respective destinations before heading home. She said a pleasant farewell to everyone as they left, and made plans to stay in touch with them in the future.
Without saying a word, Sabrina filled out the card with the requested info, and returned it to its original owner. "Here you go! And thanks, but I think I'll pass on your offer. I can just take the MetroLine back to Yoka." Plus, if she sat in that seat one more time, she'd probably fall asleep for the next 24 hours. "Well, I guess I should get going. Mom'll freak if I take too long to get supper. Catch you guys later!"

As she left, it occurred to her that she forgot about the muffin offer. Oh well, she wasn't very hungry, anyway. Just tired. Oh so tired. And it was sorta weird...all of a sudden, she was by herself, with absolutely nothing she needed to chase after. It was kinda relaxing...which was bad, because it made her more sleepy. At least public transportation was a very bad place to sleep.

(FREEDOM...FREEDOM!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA)
At the offer of a free muffin, Zeo realized he was pretty hungry after their several hour jaunt searching for obscure and unrelated items. Before he could go indulge himself, Rose offered him and Sabrina a ride home, which Sabrina promptly declined. Zeo responded with a quick farewell as the girl made her way out. A surprisingly abrupt end to an exhausting day, he noted. He couldn't blame her for wanting to be off as soon as possible, though.

Zeo considered Rose's offer as well, but he decided to decline. At least he'd taken longer to think about it than Sabrina. "Thanks, but I think I'm going to have a walk around Electown and see if anything I want is within my new price range." He looked at the door. "This was fun, for the most part," Zeo added, the latter bit coming from his experiences at the Navi Shop and casino. "See you around." With that, he walked over to the counter, grabbed one of the offered muffins and headed out the door.
