A long night in Toronto....

"Huh... requires an AI interface huh? Keena, you're up!"

Liz pulled her phone out promptly, assigning her trusty AI a job. Keena just sort of yawned, and gave a little stretch on screen before she hoped from one electronic device to the next.

"This better not damage my data..." She mumbled, as Liz set the tablet up once more to prompt the interface response.

"If you got an AI you want to jump in here, feel free." Liz of course talking to Kale, though she didn't actually look at him as she spoke.
"Maybe when I return." Kale said as he reluctantly got up, and shuffled off in the direction of the restrooms. Elizabeth could hear him grumble a bit to himself as he left the room.

The interface window opened up and prompted her again, only this time she had her phone plugged up to her laptop. What would she do?
"Ok lets see... how do I activate this..." Liz say, hitting the continue button. she hoped it would just scan for her after the prompt but if not she would have to direct keena to try and interface with the machine personally.

"Mmk, Keena see if you can get access to this tablet, k? If you can see if there is a way to change this friggen thing to english text while your at it."
As soon as Elizabeth hit continue, Keena felt the strange sensation of something focusing intently on her. A second later, and she was forcibly pulled across the communication wall and into the tablet, all while Elizabeth spoke words to an absent audience.
Liz hadn't heard any response from Keena, but she figured what ever the system was trying to do with an AI, it worked. Keeping that in mind, she wondered if there were any new options available to her now that a AI interface had been established. Liz checked the tablets functions one more time, continuing to use the translator to make up for her lack of multi-linqualism.

"Keena, can you hear me?" She attempted to reach the navi, while she worked, hoping that the two working together could solve it faster than her alone.
The tablet showed nothing new to Elizabeth, and Keena did not respond to her either.
"whew, Made it..." Keena sighed as she popped back up on Liz's computer screen. Seeing her Ai return, Liz disconnected the tablet from her PC and waited for a full report.

"So how did it go?"

Keena scratched her head, before giving a recap of the event up until when she fled for what she could only imagine was her life. Now that she was in a more well lit area, she also took a moment to look over the cloak she had managed to steal from the stubborn AI. As she did, Liz just let out a heavy sigh at the total lack of information Keena brought back.

"So we have a pissed off AI and a tablet realm that we'll have to check again during daylight I guess? We'll need to be prepared then."
The cloak was made of silk, and had a silver visual quality to it, such that it was gray and reflected the light depending on how you looked at it. The inside was a dark matte gray, and was still warm from the AI that had just been wearing it. It appeared to have many data nodes along the inside of the cloak within reasonable reach of the hands of the AI it was originally designed for had she still been wearing it. There was no telling what they did.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth's laptop detected a new wireless signal sitting... in her lap. A ZaneTechTab appeared on the wireless network as of 3 seconds ago.
"Whoops... did i do that?" Keena chimed, noticing the new wireless signal after she pressed one of the many nodes within the cloak. "Seems like this thing can control the tablet to an extent! Not that i know how to use it..."

"Interesting... well Keena, you should probably press that button again. We wouldn't want someone else seeing that right now, if what you said about that AI's master is true."

Keena agreed it was probably a wise decision, and complied with the request. Last thing they needed was someone following them because of that signal.
Unfortunately for Keena, the signal did not cut off. She did, however, notice she was holding a handful of copper dust.
"guess i was wrong...The heck is this stuff then?" Keena said, examining the dust with a quizzical look.

"Is it just because you have that control cloak thing? Hmmm... Oh! let's test something." Liz pulled out her phone excitedly, and did a ping of the wireless signals available. She was curious if her PC could pick it up because of Keena, if it was public now, or because the computer connected to it.
Keena examined the handful of copper metal dust in her hand (and that's what it was) as Elizabeth confirmed that her phone could also pick up the signal.
"Hmmm so the things gone global. Guess I'll have to try and turn it off for now." Liz didnt want just anyone messing with this thing, especially with some secret master lurking about. She tried to power down the device, if that didnt work then at least have it in sleep mode and locked.

"At least now i know the company this tab belongs to... ZaneTech, huh?" As the words left her mouth, she attempted to look them up. Of course she also tried to recall anything she may have heard about them already but it was kinda late so she wasn't expecting much.
The tablet went into sleep mode when Elizabeth hit the power switch.

After that, she attempted to look up ZaneTech. No results returned that seemed to have much to do with it. Lots of results of Zane and Tech, and some unrelated matches from a jumble of the letters that made the two up, but nothing definitively ZaneTech came up as any form of company, corporation, organization, or unofficial group. ZaneTech was not the name of the manufacturer, that's for certain.
Liz felt a little defeated not being able to find anything on that name. Seeing as that probably wasn't the company name, see had no more leads to go on.

"Well, I guess I'll wait a bit for now. Maybe get some rest and we can take a fresh start on this later. " She let out another sigh as the long night was fully catching up to her.
---- Sunnybrook Medical Science Center; Toronto; Friday, February 2nd 7:30 AM....

Cassidy and Daniel are walking (and talking) down the hall towards the waiting room where one Detective Kale and a young woman are both currently passed out.
"So let's see. We're going to meet with..." Cassidy trailed off.

"Lieutenant Kale Barrett. He was shot two times, presumably in the same incident involving Adrian, bringing up his sheet now." Mneme finished, projecting the file into the air. Cassidy nodded, bringing the information of his injuries up to the forefront.

"Hm. Veteran. Okay. Probably needs a psychologist. So much wrong with police procedure unavoidable can't do much about it. Moving on. Oh yes, Mister Shields, we'll be apparently going to address this Detective before you can go. I apologize for the inconvenience and hope you don't mind terribly." Cassidy's smile retained its beatific countenance as she reached a hand out to pat the disgruntled cybertechnician on the shoulder.
Somehow, at this point, Daniel actually cracked a small smile, albeit a very crooked one. Sleep deprivation was pretty nice.

"So... why am I coming along again?" he murmured, still lopsidedly grinning with a bleary look. To his memory, he probably already asked this twice while they were walking, though he felt compelled to annoy Cassidy in some manner for keeping him away from his bed.
"Oh, I'm not actually entirely sure on as to why you're coming along, no worries about that. Hopefully, there's a good reason. Doubt it. Not too much other than a vague link at best. Hm. Good point. Should tell him that when you see him. Ask for lawyer, maybe? Could be doing work right now. Me, not you." Cassidy paused, then continued her spiel of data. "Apologies for unclear statement. Or could be sleeping. Applies to both." Cassidy stepped forward, canceling the document with a swipe of her hand, opening the door to the waiting room, Mneme validating her identity.

Liz mumbled a bit in her sleep, turning in the chair slightly as she began to feel a bit uncomfortable. She tossed once more, unable to find the sweet spot of the chair, eventually resulting in her eyes finally opening. A long drawn out yawn followed as her eyes lazily looked around her, sitting back in her chair failing to get comfy.

"mmmmm... bleh. Morning already... So tired." She whined half concious.
