There were a few minutes of relative silence at the initial opening of the haunt, but it didn't take long for a muffled wail to echo from behind the wall of the first area. Slay, Pyre, and the Progs' area was relatively quiet, so they were able to pick up the cries of either the first guest or the chained/dismembered performer they previously passed, but the sound was deadened to a degree that suggested the barriers between the rooms were relatively well insulated, though not entirely sound-proofed.
"I guess that's our cue, showtime!" Pyre remarked with a loud whisper before she pulled the curtains up and over herself to allow her to pass through. She then re-positioned herself at the foot of the bed, and proceeded to float a few inches away from the curtain in preparation.
A few moments later, the group could hear the doors leading to the bed swing open with a pronounced, likely augmented with some audio file, wooden creak. A soft 'thud' was heard a second later accompanied with a
"Oof!". If Pyre moved to look more towards the foot of the bed, she'd see Pyre put her arms outwards at 45 degree downward angles from her sides before floating directly into the curtains covering the foot of the bed. She moved into the curtains, likely leaving a rather enticing outline for the bed's occupant, until she seemed to "phase" through the curtain itself.
"W-woah, creepy..." the guest remarked from behind the curtains.
The lights inside the bed gave some rough outlines of Pyre, but not much of the guest, due to his likely prone and sunken position in the bed's restrictively fluffy comforter.
"Come, I have much to show you..." Pyre said in a breathy, though somewhat monotone voice. Slay could see the floating Navi extend an arm towards the program, prompting the guest to sit up and attempt to clamber out of the bed.
It took several moments for thelNavi to maneuver and clumsily get past the curtain (which Pyre simply phased through a second time). He stood up on the floor, and was too transfixed on Pyre's shimmering white robes to look back to the "yankers," though he was entirely in view. He was a NormalNavi with a blue and green color scheme, with no other visible customization. The rings of the tunnel spun up again and began to glow purple and green, wreathing Pyre before she moved to the guest's side.
"Uh, through there?" he asked.
"Yes, through there your past lies, Mr. Scrooge..." Pyre replied, before demanding
"Now go!"Her raised voice caused the Navi to jump slightly forward and towards the disorienting-looking tunnel, but he seemed to hesitate. He started to look around, seemingly searching for another path. Slay would've noticed the two other progs got noticeably uncomfortable, seemingly not sure what to do. However, Pyre seemed to persist; she leaned her head back slightly and appeared to brush her bangs away with one of her hands, then suddenly lurched forward and shouted a fiery
"GO!" The guest nearly jumped a foot in the air before he scrambled away towards the tunnel. Pyre's head and shoulders actually appeared as if they ignited in flame, which fit with the candle theme she previously described for the "ghost of Christmas Past" role.
The guest started to navigate the swirling tunnel, and all could see he was gripping the handrails with all his might as he pushed forward. He soon went out of sight, and prompted additional wails and screams from the room beyond. Pyre turned back from the tunnel as the lights flickered off, and looked to Slay with a smile before flashing a thumbs up.
The tell-tale creaking sound of the doors announced the arrival of another guest, causing Pyre to flinch before she hurriedly moved back to the foot of the bed. Another thud was heard as a guest was forcibly deposited into the bed, and Pyre again pressed then phased through the curtains.
"Ooh, a babe! C'mon baby, do your worst." a haughty male voice echoed from the bed. Slay could see Pyre's figure float towards the prone guest, and she seemed to adopt a more horizontal posture, floating above the guest. Her slightly curvy hair hung straight down, but her dress didn't seem to apply to the same laws of gravity.
"Hm... you're a lively one. I wonder, are you ready?" she cooed before transitioning to a rumbling laugh. Pyre then followed up with a quick message to Slay.
Quote (Pyre)
That's your cue, don't be afraid to rough him up, he can probably take it considering his attitude.
