The Terraformer and the Knife Fighter

"Argh!" exclaimed Carbide, jumping back from the fiery ground that the HauntedCandle had just subjected her to. Thinking fast, Carbide stomped on the ground before her, releasing the rocks that covered her feet into ground cover for her lower end. It looked kind of strange, and she wouldn't be moving around for a while, but at least she'd be well-prepared for the next attack, if any should come her way.

Terra looked back at Carbide, starting to look concerned for her support program. "I'll be fine! Go for the rest!" the SP bravely said; Terra reluctantly turned away from her, and pinged in a battlechip request. "Multiple target chips... I'll send in a CornShot and a MoonBlade. That all right?" said Scarlet, readying her fingers over the buttons. Terra nodded twice, and the request was transmitted. The operator kept watch on the screen, taking note of her grumbling stomach.

The Navigator immediately launched herself into the fray, the metallic ground beneath her providing her with her usual sphere of protection that gleamed around her. The Drain-imbued summon had just returned to her, and she was anxious to receive the recovery data. Making a crushing gesture with her hand, the summon imploded into shards of rock, which redirected themselves towards the DarkMechs. It left the recovery data behind, which showered over her in a soothing glow of light.

As the shards flew, she imbued them with the CornShot data, adding that bit of ricochet into their deadliness. Then, she turned back to her objective. Following Trent's lead, she attempted to copy his evasive maneuvers, shifting her weight around her feet to get a feel for the attacks that would come after her. Meanwhile, her hand was holding a small shard left over from the rock summon, which slowly began to gather in size.

Then, leaping towards the candle viruses, Terra copied Trent's spin and swung the shard at the candles, the shard dramatically making a leap in size and sharpness. She took note of how nimble it felt to swing it in the manner she took. Unlike Trent, however, she didn't leap forwards to continue her movements. Instead, she halted in her tracks, and let the massive blade-shard go, which sunk into one of the pews. Terra then leapt backwards, away from the altar, in order to avoid any remaining attacks.

Still in a defensive stance, Terra surveyed the area, checking for stragglers as the heat of battle subsided. Exhaling quietly, she shook her head a little, waving her absurdly long ponytail about before walking up to one of the DarkMechs, spotting a small shine. Identifying it as battlechip data, she lifted the DarkMech's intricate-looking blade from its lifeless arms, and swung it about. She raised an eyebrow when the sword split itself into two equal parts.

"That looks pretty nice," commented Scarlet, looking up the battlechip's stats. Her face dropped, however, as it revealed that the MachineSword was pretty much useless for their purposes, seeing as it required a temporary stun condition on its targets. She relayed the information to Terra, who was still testing out the sword's weight. After a few seconds, she walked over to Trent, and stuck the double-sword into the ground near where he was.

"... You'll get more use out of it," she said, as she went to turn around to Carbide, who seemed to have a bit of a predicament on her hands. Or, er, feet. Her earlier stunt with the shielding rock on the legs seemed to have a significant drawback-- she couldn't retract the shield or disengage it like she would with the shields on her hands. Terra stood over Carbide, as she attempted futilely to dislodge herself from her own rocky prison.

"Uuuuu..." mumbled the SP, as she looked up pleadingly at Terra for help. The Navi made a small smile, as she bent down and grasped the rock. However, to her surprise, she couldn't make the formation budge, either. After a while, Terra simply opted to produce a similar constitution of rock and bashed it to pieces. "... There," said Terra. Carbide embraced her Navi without reserve in return. "Aaaaa, I thought I was gonna die here!" she exclaimed, almost in tears.

Terra put a hand on Carbide's head, rubbing it slightly. Turning to her partner, she inquired, "... Should we look at the other rooms, or do you want to look around?"

[Transfer [MachineSword] Battlechip to Trent]
Trent slowly recovered from his hideout on the back side of the alter. No sooner had he stood up and sheathed his knives was he knocked back to the ground by a large mass of flying white fur. Sasha happily tackled the fighter to his back and licked his face. The tackling was clear but the rest was mostly hidden behind the alter. Trent let out minor laughs and grunts from the experience then pushed Sasha off. Sasha growled playfully at him while he stood back up, having forgotten that they had allies in battle here. He snapped back to attention and watched as Terra approached Trent.

Trent felt the need to make a comment on her fighting as she approached, he had noticed her taking after his tactics. Before he could do so however his social plans were derailed by her own extension of gratitude by offering the chip data she had just acquired from the battle to him. He was truly stunned and speechless for a moment. In that moment Terra turned back towards Carbide to help her. Sasha was as thoroughly confused by the event as Trent.

"Trent, did she just offer you a free chip? We have to give her something back! It would be terribly rude not to here." Mark started sorting into the chip collection trying to find something he thought would be the most useful towards Terra's style of fighting. Trent slowly took up the free chip from Terra, and grasped it in his hands. He turned it over a few times before sending it over to Mark. He had no clue what to do here. So he stood awkwardly while Mark sorted. Sasha began to eat the spare data on the ground and gather the zenny at Trent's signal.

"I found a few various chips that would be beneficial to her, but the wavearm1 is the one I think will help her the most, and that we need the least. I am sending it over. Give it to her. I can't believe she gave you a gift. That's actually, gather exciting. Maybe teaming up is a good idea. Or she likes you," Mark joked at the end. Trent promptly turned off his communication with Mark upon hearing that comment.

Trent walked up to Terra as she had finished freeing her SP. Once the embrace was finished and Terra turned to him, he offered the wavearm1 data to her. Extending his arm he said, "In exchange. For the sword. Thanks." He held his hand open with the data cube resting on his palm. "I hope it is useful for your fighting style." Sasha walked up to Trent's side and sat down, his ears happily perked at the exchange before him. His head tilted to the side as he watched, and he glance changed to Carbide often.

Mark chimed in for the answer to the question Terra posed. "We should look around this room some. The viruses thoroughly destroyed the windows but with how decorated this place is there might be something of use to one of us at the alter."

{Accept the chip from Terra, offer her Wavearm1 Battle data}
Terra raised an eyebrow as Trent approached, and presented her with the data cube. "... I wasn't expecting anything," muttered Terra. Regardless, she reached out for the data cube anyway, and examined its contents. Scarlet giggled like a little schoolgirl at the exchange, looking up the data that was presented by Trent. "Oh, this is a ground-based non-elemental attack. Pretty strong, too. Not bad," said Scarlet, printing out the chip data onto a blank. Chuckling in amusement, she remarked, "Quite a gentleman teammate you have there."

Carbide looked at Sasha, who was currently sitting beside the knife fighter, looking quite docile. She braved herself to walk to Terra's side, and squat beside her, though she didn't do much yet to approach Sasha. As she observed the large dog, she made note of its level of hostility, which seemed to have lowered considerably, but she just had to be sure first.

Terra chuckled faintly at her Support Program's antics, and walked over to the altar, looking about for anything that peaked her interest, with Carbide in tow. Though it was mainly just debris from all the pews Carbide had managed to blow away with her ElementalRage use earlier, she figured Trent couldn't be wrong. The knife fighter looked like he had experience with it.

As soon as the chips traded hands, both netops felt a shiver run down their backs, as if they had done something terrible. Mostly ignoring the feeling, they had their navis explore the room for clues or secrets. Unfortunately, the altar appeared to be just an inert block of stone. The only other thing of interest was the giant organ, which was fully functional and also suitably loud for its size. There wasn't any sheet music and pressing random keys seemed pointless. In any case, this room turned out to be a bust - looks like it was time to backtrack to the main foyer to try another door.

Stained Glass Door
Crumbling Wooden Door
Rusty Metal Door
Dirty Stained Door
"This place looks really old, but it doesn't look like there's anything here," said Carbide, disappointed at the lack of hidden passages or secret doorways. Terra nodded, and ran a hand through her hair in thought. Her feet idly shuffled at some of the debris from earlier, and her free hand was swirling a few chunks of earth. The metal from under her feet had already been reverted to its original form, although she couldn't do much about the destroyed seating.

"Maybe you should go search around another room, Terra. Doesn't look like you're going to get anything else out of this room," quipped Scarlet, who merely nodded silently. Contemplating their options, she strolled over to the entrance of the room, and peeked out, while Carbide hopped over to her. "... Perhaps we should search one of the other rooms. I'm slightly curious about the stained door," said Terra, turning to Trent as she spoke. She stood by the door, waiting for Trent's response, while Carbide was already out, jumping around the stairway outside.

[Dirty Stained Door]
Trent looked briefly around the room at Mark's command, but he knew from the fight there wasn't anything of interest here, no matter how decorated the place used to be. As Trent searched Sasha kept his eye on the ever curious Carbide. As she got closer to him he got more defensive and lower to the ground. He still wasn't used to being around others, but it was clear he was starting to come around. Sasha backed off to follow Trent, allowing Carbide to run out into the halls. Once the fast look was over Trent said to Mark, "Nothing to report."

"I figured it was a long shot anyways. Alright lets explore more of the house. Any idea on which room next?" Mark must not have been paying attention to Terra, as the earthen girl had already choose a new room to explore. Trent nodded in agreement of the choice and walked out into the hall. Sasha hugged close by his left leg, as they descended the stairs to the new door choice. Trent stood on the outside, with a knife in his right hand, in reverse grip. As he was going to open the door Mark said, "One moment Trent."

Both the dog and the warrior held their position. "I will head in first," Trent said to Terra as he waited for whatever it was Mark was doing. Suddenly a pale blue light washed over Trent. Mark had used a minienergy pack on Trent, to patch up the damage from the last room. Trent didn't think the damage was enough to warrant it, but Mark shrugged and said, "We had to use it sooner or later, and it is only a small help."

Slowly Trent pushed open the door to check the inside of the room; with a ready knife and a eager guard dog at his side.

{Minienergy +50 HP}
[Dirty Stained Door open]
{Battle 3 ready, if there is one right behind this door.}
Cautiously opening the door, Trent was greeted by a waft of pleasant aromas - this was obviously a kitchen just by looking at it. There were larders and cupboards lining the walls, stocked to the brim with foods and such. A large set of stoves was situated in the middle of the room with low hanging pots and pans dangling above it. Several pots sat on top, steaming with some unknown contents while a single navi was chopping something up on a cutting board.

Upon further observation, the navi didn't look normal at all. His arms and legs appeared as if they had been stitched together from the parts of different navis and his movements indicated poor motor function control. Additionally, the ceiling was much lower than either Trent or Terra were used to, which made sense since they were still on the first floor. Drop type attacks didn't look like they would work in this area, nor would anything else requiring a lot of vertical space. The floor was also stained with some kind of weird substance - most likely dried sauce of some kind that looked very sticky. Across the kitchen, there was another door that looked as if it might lead to a hall or dining room.

All the while, Trent kept the door open behind him, remembering what happened when they first entered the chapel room.

The team had many options with varying estimates of success and consequences:

[Encounter 3 - Wat do]
Terra took in the smells and sights that came with the kitchen, surveying the area. Some Navi stood near a fairly large set of stoves, chopping up some unknown food, she assumed. Bubbling and boiling away were some other things stuffed into pots, with some very interesting aromas coming from all of them. The scents mixed in the air to create a very appetizing atmosphere. She stood at the door, silent as she usually was.

She observed that the chef wasn't exactly normal-looking, either, with his limbs looking like they were grafted onto the main body. It did look slightly grotesque, though she wasn't too fazed about it. Unsure as to how to proceed, she simply waited for a reaction from her partner. Carbide, on the other hand, didn't really feel that the Navi was much of a threat, and spoke what was on her mind. "Wow, it smells great in here!"

Terra wanted to clamp down on the SP's mouth, but the damage was done. Now, all she could do was see how the Navi reacted.

[Talk to the Navi]
The smell entered Trent's nose with a pleasant waft. He and Sasha took in the smells, with Sasha nose in the air. The dogs ear's perked as various aromas entered his nose, he was able to pull apart several of the scents from the other, each a bit nicer than the last. Trent didn't spend long on the smell and started to inspect the room, his eyes quickly catching the chopping movement of the chef navi at the counter. Trent instinctively jumped backwards while his hand dropped to his side for a knife. He didn't withdraw the blade after seeing the navi wasn't running towards them, rolling pin in hand.

Sasha stepped into the room ever so slightly, sniffing and smelling as he approached the counter. Trent called the dog back vocally, knowing he wouldn't see a hand signal, and then looked back to the chef. He would have had to heard that noise, and if he didn't Carbide ensured he heard them. Once Sasha was back at his side Trent looked to Terra with a strong suspicion. He shook his head at the whole situtation, not simply at one element of it. This was an odd set up.

"That chef reminds me of Frankenstein," Mark chimed in over a private channel. "Rather odd looking one isn't he?"

Trent had to agree with that statement. He turned to Terra and said, "I wouldn't trust the food," under his breath. He looked back to the chef and awaited a reaction.

[Talk to him/Let Carbide greet him.]
The navi stopped chopping. He reacted slowly, turning his head in a wretched, gear-like motion to the sound of Carbide's voice and stared blankly at the intruders. He raised his knife at the navis and let out some kind of horrible noise. The steaming pots shook as the torsos of some dragon-like viruses spawned out from them. Several more viruses ballooned from the various spills on the floor and formed into a batch of jelly creatures.

...Then two lumpy bags fell out of a cupboard. Apparently those were also viruses.

As if on cue, the door slammed shut behind Terra, Carbide and Sasha. Trent, however, had instinctively jumped back and inadvertently separated himself from the fight! He rattled against the doorknob but it was locked tight. He could hear the horde of zombies inside as well as the rest of his party.

As the creep factor of the navi rose higher and higher, Trent's hand moved closer and closer to the grip of a blade. Once the shrill cry was unleashed, Trent withdrew the blade and naturally jumped backwards from the situation. With his trusty knife in his hand he took a stance ready to face whatever the Navi had summoned. That was, if the door hadn't just closed in his face and he was now prepared to fight a wooden door. Sasha let out a few whimpers and paw scratches at the door as the rest of the viruses formed from the floor and out of the pots. "Sasha get off the door and turn to face what the real issue is!" Mark said, jumping forwards on his chair in the excitement of this whole area and battle set up. For a moment, he was being more like his old self, but only for a moment.

Trent however, wasn't amused by the fact that his SP was without him on the other side of the door. He pressed his face up against the door, trying to hear what was happening on the other side. He only heard the chaotic sounds of clashing pots and pans. "Sasha. Collar." Trent said through the wooden door. Sasha reached a paw up and scratched down his protection cube, which promptly coated him in a protective layer. He barked loudly once the task was finished. Trent issued the followup command. "Sasha, away left."

All of Trent's commands were short issued to his faithful dog, which was just the way Trent would like it. Long actions would take forever to iron out, even if Sasha would understand them. Its better to stick to phrases and focus on the task. Sasha understood the ideas perfectly well enough, and dodged and jumped his way to the side of the door frame, keeping his weight as light as possible and dancing around. He made sure to stay away from the door frame.

Mark wasn't sure what Trent's plan here was. The health total for the door was too great to be knocked down in one hit, even more so due to the pairs lack of strong fire attacks. Trent inspected the structure of the door quickly. To him the wooden materials used seems slightly old and less structurally sound. Maybe that's where the extra single hp value came from. Either way Trent stepped back from the door and requested the gigasarm1 chip. As the chip was being slotted in Mark started to run though his head the other chips they had which might help with the door. Not many were coming up. Mark was shocked at how quickly the fighter managed to come up with this plan on his own.

"Get away from the door!" Trent yelled inside, hoping Terra had heard him and that Sasha was safe and sound. No time to wait now the three of them were greatly overwhelmed without him. Trent uploaded the gigasarm1 and planned out his punch. If he could hit closer to the frame of the door, near the hinges, it would have a better chance to be hit open. Trent took a break. He ran back up to the door, and focused his mind and strength into the chip data present. The result was something new entirely. This hit would be a huge impact. Trent raised his foot up at the door and attempted to kick it in. Hopefully this would be strong enough.

-TURN SPLICE-
"That... doesn't look too good," said Scarlet, as the chef Navi turned mechanically towards them, a vacant stare occupying his face. The grotesque cook raised his knife, and opened his maw to let out a terrifying noise of some kind. The bubbling stuff that was in the pots turned out to be a cluster of intimidating-looking dragons, while the puddles of dried sauce or some other were apparently blobs of blue slime. "Oh, gross!" remarked Carbide, as she watched a puddle nearby grow and morph into one of the slimy blobs.

A slamming sound behind Terra indicated that the door had been automatically locked behind them, something that she didn't really need to turn her head to for her to confirm it. As she watched a couple more viruses drop into the party in the form of sacks of what appeared to be candy, she heard something else that seemed off. Her partner's canine companion was whimpering and pawing at something, which was very odd. Turning slightly to her side confirmed that Trent had locked himself out.

Before she could complain, however, some orders barked from her partner on the other side of the door got her immediately out of the way of the door, not wanting to be on the receiving end of whatever it was that Trent had in mind. "Scarlet! Lemme at 'em!" said Carbide, preparing to put her shield up. Seeing something about to go down, Terra put her hand on her enthusiastic SP's shoulder, though she still looked straight towards the viruses. In response, Carbide looked up at her Navi expectantly. "... Give me your shield," the taller one said.

The SP blinked once before catching the request. "O-Okay," she said, turning back towards the viruses and stomping on the ground to raise a pillar of grey rock in front of Terra, which, as crude as it was, functioned well for a shield. Scarlet slotted in Carbide's assigned chip, and pinged Terra for a response. "Anything you want?" she said, even though the ping was quite sufficient for her purposes. "... SonicBoom," replied Terra, requesting the well-used chip that had decimated many a virus in its short history of use.

Meanwhile, Carbide was busy trying to look as impressive as possible to her Navi, gathering the energy from the ElementalRage battlechip into her hands. Now without her shield-arm as a conduit, she had to resort to raw output. A devilish grin appeared on her face as she felt surges of energy gather between her little hands, and she threw her hands forward, releasing a potent bolt of power towards the pots that contained the dragon posse. The SP then drew back with a yelp as the energy recoiled back into her arms.

Hugging herself to reduce the pain, Carbide attracted Terra's attention, who, as much as she was focusing on the battle, was also concerned about her SP. She hadn't requested her shield for nothing, of course, since in that small period of time, there wasn't much time to concentrate on shifting some terrain about. Opening a private channel with her operator, she requested, "... Withdraw Carbide." Scarlet was taken a little by surprise, but didn't stop to comply with the Navi's strategy.

At that moment, Carbide's body started to disintegrate rapidly, causing the SP to panic. "H-Hey, what's going on? Hey!" she called out, turning towards Terra, whose expression was, as usual, difficult to read. Before she could say anything else, Carbide was returned to the PET, and Terra sighed in relief. Adopting a fighting stance, she drew two fingers up in front of her. A nearly invisible trail of dust collected at the tip of her index finger, which she quickly waved in front of her in a slicing motion. The trail of dust sliced through the air, gathering up mass from surrounding dust as it sang through the air, cutting through anything that stood in its way.

Sasha and Terra moved away from the door as Trent smashed it down in a most spectacular fashion. Carbide shielded up and fired a beam at the Potdragons, hitting two before being unsummoned. Terra launched a slashing wave at the approaching Slimeys, though she only hit one of them as they were still far too scattered to catch in a line. The chef lumbered forward and lunged at Terra with his knife, though Carbide's shield blocked the blow easily enough.

With a loud cracking sound Trent reentered the room, both hands containing a knife and each at the ready. He drew them upwards to his face and lowered his stance as he surveyed what had happened since he was last in the room. Sasha was still fine, as was Terra. And the chef was trying to play Trent's favorite game, knife fighting. A vicious smile slid over his face at the thought of a knife fight, and he started to close the gap towards the chef, his strides slow and powerful at first.

"Wait!" Mark shouted. "Terra is in huge trouble as long as those fire dragons are alive. We must kill them for her. I know you don't want to worry about your teammate in a fight but you have to cover her ass here. I'm sending in the metagel and the bubble star chips. Tie down the candies and hurt the dragons as best as possible before you engage the chef."

Trent stopped where he was to look at the dragons and briefly back at Terra. She did give him the chip without cause, and she was turning into a fairly nice fighting companion. She doesn't talk much, fights well, and unlike his last partner didn't have a crazy persona. Trent turned his body back towards the dragons on the stove and awaited the data chips. Soon Mark slotted in them. "There you go," Mark said. "Send the metagel through your knives this time, don't outright activate it."

Trent nodded in agreement, remembering the height of the room. With a flash of his hand he deftly grabbed the handle on his belt and withdrew the blades. Each blade was blue and squishy, save for the handle, and looked to be made of jello. Trent pulled the tree metagel enhanced blades back and his spare hand snapped over to carefully throw each one towards the dragons. Whatever the knives connected with would be splattered and covered in gel.

Next Trent withdrew an odd shaped gun, it looked almost like a child's play bubble gun. He took careful aim at the bag of candies while Mark chuckled at the slight humor of the situation. A large fighter with a bubble gun trapping candy. Trent held the gun at waist level while he fired one shot at each bag of candy, and the final one at the middle dragon on the stove. He discarded the gun after the shots and it dispersed into the nets

Finally it was time. Trent pulled out his two favorite knives, each with brass knuckle grips so he could use his hands to grab, and held them in his favorite configuration to weld a knife. He ducked his body down low and pushed off from the ground to run at the chef. He kept his feet light during the run, and once he was close enough jumped into the air and kicked at the chef, to back him away from Terra. Once he had landed back on the ground he took a quick slash at the chef and stood back up, knives at the ready.

With Carbide out of the picture, Terra was now in her element; there was nothing to impede her attacks. Scarlet saw the chance, and surveyed the area. With the Slimeys heading her way, one single shield wouldn't be enough to defend her from the blobs of jelly. "I'm sending in IceZone and MoonBlade," said Scarlet, right before Terra could request them. The Navi was a little taken aback, but nodded in confirmation. Scarlet grinned as she tapped the screen to send the chips into Terra's queue; at least she was doing something for her Navi's battles. Checking her watch, she drummed her fingers on her bed, trying to figure out when the hell the room service was coming.

With the IceZone received, Terra proceeded to turn down the temperature in the kitchen, transforming a large portion of the area into an icy floor. With her newly-installed upgrade, however, she found solid footing on the ice. Shifting her posture, she waited for the Slimeys to come. As she waited, a frosty blue aura surrounded her, signifying that her defense protocols were working perfectly. Pointing her palm towards the ground, she drew up some of the ice up into her hand. It flowed freely like a liquid, filling up an invisible mold that Terra grabbed, turning it into a sharp blade of ice.

Readying the blade, she waited for the perfect moment as the Slimeys approached, when she would make her move, and spin around with her weapon, exactly as she learned earlier. Her other hand was put forward, and she beckoned them to her silently.

((Syriene, you can't just change the properties of an attack by altering it in the summary. I just overlooked it this time.))

Trent's metagel attack splattered over one of the Earthdragons (180), instantly deleting it though the other two were already attacking and barely escaped. The double dragons crisscrossed over the group, mostly missing their targets, though Sasha's barrier (30) was cracked open in a single hit and Terra's shield was destroyed (1 hit). They retreated back to the stove and hid back in their pots. The chef made another swing at Terra but missed with his clumsy attack. Terra froze the ground with her IceZone, though the patches of sauce refused to freeze along with it. It was still enough for her generate an ice barrier as Trent tried to capture things with his BubbleStar gun. Both candy bags were caught (20)(20) though not before each spat a candy into one of the potdragon pots (+20)(+20). The Slimeys continued to advance and two made it close enough to Terra to attack. One missed while another bounced off her barrier (-8). The other two were still too far away to strike, forcing her to cut down only two of the viruses with her Moonblade (90)(90). Trent went after the chef but also missed with his attack due to a shallow swing.

"Nice work, Terra," said Scarlet, as she saw her Navi going on a roll with her attacks. Charging up her barrier yet again, Terra noticed Sasha off to the side, and thought it'd be a nice gesture, with the dog being left behind for most of the battle. Sweeping her boot across the icy floor, she redirected her defensive processes, and encased Sasha in a cool blue aura, similar to hers. "Aw, that's nice of you," commented her operator, to which Terra cracked a small smile. "Anything you need?" she asked, passing the ball to the Navi this time around. It was fun, but she didn't want to be too unfair.

"... ElementalRage, WaveArm, CornShot," said Terra, after some brief deliberation. Scarlet tapped some keys on the screen, and the chips were sent in. Just at that moment, the door was knocked, and Scarlet swore under her breath. "About time," she muttered, as she made her way over to the door, ready to unleash a hungry rant on the poor sap who was to deliver her room service.

Meanwhile, Terra served up some destruction of her own, as she gathered the frosty energies from beneath her feet. Snowflakes started to gather on her hands as blue spheres of energy formed. She locked onto the two remaining Slimeys, and pointed both of her palms forward, unleashing a freezing blast of ice at the Slimeys, hopefully locking them up in permafrost for good.

After that, she made a few more changes to the ground, seeing that the bags of candy still haven't received any treatment from her groundbreaking techniques. Stomping her foot on the ground, she froze over the entire area of the chef's cooking appliances with a shiny coat of metal. Afterwards, it was time to get down to business. Widening her stance, she attuned herself to the ground's vibrations, and started up the WaveArm.

A couple of moments passed before she found the resonant vibration, and pounded at the ice beneath her with an open palm. At first, it didn't seem to have much of an effect, but soon, the ground started to shake, and a shockwave appeared on the counter next to the trapped bags of candy. The wave immediately picked up on the metal's properties, and shook with electrical arcs. After it was done with the counter, it shifted over to the chef, providing Trent with some support fire, before dissipating into a nearby wall.

While all of this was going on, Terra was already picking up the pace, shifting her target over to the hiding EarthDragons. The ice beneath her was quickly drawn from, and an icy fist came to float before her. Its index finger pointed not at the pot, but at the ceiling directly above it. The finger then launched itself off the icy fist, and hit the ceiling with an audible twang, ricocheting straight towards the pot's open top.

Trent was originally very excited about the incoming knife fight, his blades at the ready guarding his body and his feet light, ready to carry him around the dance. It didn't take long of standing toe to toe with the chef did he notice his completely unstructured fighting stance and his clumsy attack patterns. A large frown crossed his face and a deep furrow hit his brows. He loosened his stance and stood up and lowered his guard. With a disgusted scowl he turned his head and spat on the kitchen floor. "You are not worth my effort," Trent started. "This won't even be a fight."

While Trent was getting his attitude on Sasha was happily accepting the present from Terra, the chilling shield a nice replacement for his own. With a happy Bark of acceptance he skipped over to Terra's side and stood guard by her. Sasha was acting on instinct here, since he wasn't under any direct order from Trent. Plus, as best he could tell, the best targets to attack were the slimes before him. With a deep snarl he showed his teeth and growled from the side of Terra.

"Here is a little something to make sure that the chef goes down. I'm going to slot in the arrow chip and kunai. And just to throw some extra damage at the slimes, here is the boomerang, in case Terra can't handle it on her own. We need to figure out something to do about those dragons in the pots over there. They seem to be pretty well defended to say the least," Mark chimed in.

At this point he was mostly talking to himself. Trent was registering that words were being said and that new chip data was present in his system, but the anger from the lack of a fight before him made the navi rather upset. Trent pushed off towards the sloppy fighter, keeping his weight low and quick; along with his knives high and ready. He dipped inwards on the chef and carried his weight up on his right foot, leading the charge with his right hand and left knife. Like a giant bear paw Trent's massive hand grasped outwards at the chefs make shift body and attempted to lace a knife spine around it to pull him inwards, unto the incoming knife. Carrying through with the force he kicked towards with his left and pushed off and back from the chef.

The data chips he felt seemed to be very useful, the kunai was the fighter's next logical choice. Three blades were pulled from his side, and one was thrown at the chef which Trent had just broken away from. Not seeing the use to stick around for the duel, Trent jumped out and dished out the knives. The other two went for the slimes behind Trent; which Trent rolled away from in case of a return attack. Finally, Trent threw out one last piece of damage towards the chef, the arrow chip. A large viral bee form next to him and with a dramatic point of the finger the bee raced off, the buzz of its wings echoing in the mostly metal room.

Sasha kept the guard next to Terra's leg, his snarl unfading. Once Trent turned to see where he was, after unleashing the bee, Trent order Sasha to do what he was going to anyways; attack the slimes. The large dog flew forwards with his jaws wide ready to try to bite the shapeless virus before him. Once his feet landed from the jumping bite, the dog skid off behind it, before returning for attack number two. When it was all said and done, the dog slid back into its starting place.

"The bomb!" Mark exclaimed. "That bomb we got from the charity event! I never thought this chip would actually come of use to us! Drop this in the pot Trent!" Mark slotted in the chip.

Trent had two chips left in his system. Once was the boomerang, the other the new bomb. Trent had never used a bomb in combat before, this was a first for the knife fighter, explosions were not his strong point. Trent pulled up the boomerang and took as best aim he could, the wooden modified knife setting in his hands and he pulled it back and let it fly. The room didn't have much in the way of flying space, but with luck it wouldn't bang up against the pots and pans and would hit the target.

Finally, Trent pushed off from his place and ran towards the pots. He had badly missed with his previous attacks on these dangerous guys, only managing to delete one for Terra. Trent pressed his body up against the stove as he arrive there, pulled the bomb data out from his leg holsters. The one pouch he had was for receiving new data from Mark. Trent stood himself up and quickly reached for a lid to the pot and tried to crack the lid open long enough to drop the bomb in. Before he did he pressed the center button and ran off, hoping he had used to bomb correctly to hear a loud boom behind him and not be phased. Real men don't look at explosions they are moving away from.
