DragonierMan's 30k Run

[Whoops, I misread where the HauntedCandles were. I thought they were all together along one wall.]

DragonierMan jumped back from the wall, floating well above the floor. Suzume and Aya targeted the remaining HauntedCandles nearest them, charging up and solidifying energy into their hands once more. The boom and crack of a cannon released itself from each girls' arm as their energy blasts flew from their fingertips in the forms of solid tank shells made of light. They screamed across the battlefield to impact upon the area the remaining candles occupied. Making dents in the wall behind from the force.

Drago then unleashed waves of water from his hands, pouring down like rain on the candles to snuff them out with a deluge of cold water. He was a sprinkler trying to put out a fire indoors. Future historians would see the muddy sand and note that the thunder serpents also called down rainstorms.

Then everyone went into defensive stances, shifting about the battlefield in an attempt to avoid being hit by flames from irate and wet candles.

Before the remaining candles can regroup and try again to torch their foes, the twins let loose in perfect tandem, simultaneously obliterating their respective targets, and making the walls to either side shudder. As much much of the rest of this distinctly thrown-together fortress, the ramshackle panelling can't stand up to much punishment, and a moment or two after silence falls again, all three walls begin to shed loose panels, then crumble into scattered plates of metal. Who even built this place?

While future historians might indeed one day wax poetic about the events that took place upon this spot, for now there isn't really much more that can be said. All that's left is for the victors to claim their spoils of cash and bugfrags.

The unnatural darkness seemed to flee along with the destruction of the viruses, though it may also be because, with the there walls collapsed, the here as just the wall with the doorway, standing alone, and the room was now an extended part of the central open area of the keep. From back in that direction, though, there came some distinctly angry shouting.
"Oi! Who's been blowing holes in my fortress!?" The voice sounded more or less like your average, albeit quite agitated, heel-navi, but whether to 'fess up, or to confront, it might be polite to go say hello.

Aya started gathering up the rewards from the fight as Suzume stepped in front of DragonierMan. She flashed a shortsword and peered into the darkness. "Who builds a fortress in a volcano that cannot withstand a few knocks?" she asked back. Drago pushed her gently to the side with one hand and stepped forward. "Come out, come out, wherever you are. I came here to lay waste to... this wasteland."

Drago stopped for a moment, since his last statement didn't seem well thought out. "Err... I mean, hmm. Look, I am here to delete viruses. But that won't stop me from deleting Navis that are working with viruses. Or Unoperated Navis that are no better than viruses. Are you one of those types of Navis? If so come out here so I can delete you. Or I am coming in after you."

[Requesting Battle 5]
Though the unnatural darkness of the smaller room had faded by the time they were back out into the central area, it was already dusk in Hades, and the stars were beginning to show overhead. The coarse sand that covered most of the training yard was fairly even and featureless, but that was secondary to the sight that was directly ahead of them.

It looked like some sort of mechanical virus, with a base that was a single, solid platform with four roller-balls, that twisted and rotated easily as it churned across the sand, and an upper half that looked mostly humanoid, if high tech. Both of its arms reached quite wide, ending in vicious-looking pincers, and its head was a round sphere that appeared to be displaying some sort of field radar, rather than being any sort of face. All in all, it looked rather like a Cirkill, except it was notably larger, and bright red in colour. The other major difference was that it seemed to be orbited by four bright red striker-bits, circling it like options.

There was a rather plain-looking HeelNavi perched on the large virus' 'shoulder', one foot planted at the join of its 'head' sphere, and one hand holding onto the sphere for support. The other hand looked to be holding something that vaguely looked like a pulse rifle, which it waved about angrily.

"You! It's you!! How dare you wreck my place?! It's mine!! I'm going to delete you so hard your data'll be unusable for years!" He aimed his rifle and took a volley of several shots at Dragon and the twins, but they all missed terribly. Well, it didn't seem like he was in the mood to parley, particularly... at least he was a rotten shot. His 'mount' trundled forward, strafing to the side slightly as it approached Drago and his girls, its options spinning faster.

DragonierMan smirked as the giant virus lumbered into view with the HeelNavi on top. He calmly reached down to his side and pulled a sword from its sheath. He gripped it with both hands and pointed the tip at his opponents as he spoke to Aya and Suzume. The blade gleamed in the faded starlight. "Same thing as before girls. Suzume left flank, Aya right flank. I got the middle. Bring on the thunder."

His cloak split down the middle and formed a pair of cloth wings. They hardened and turned black and leathery, taking on the shape of dragon wings. The sand scattered around him as the wings began to beat. Drago bent his knees and leapt into the air, his wings taking him high up into the sky. Suzume and Aya broke formation and slid above the sand, laying serpentine trails down in their wake as they juked and weaved in broad arcs to either side of the massive virus. They kept far enough back that they would not be squashed under the virus' tracks, keeping at least One Movement Away if they could.

Power welled within their arms, swiftly traveling down from their cores to their open palms. They amassed a great deal of destructive energy in their hands, the energy spheres wreathing like coiled serpents ready to strike. The twins locked their steely gray eyes on the HeelNavi and his mount. However, unlike the last few times, they did not slow to a stop. They backpedaled as they adjusted their aim. Their targets were grouped together, so the blast radius of their shells should take them both out if they hit. Being as careful as they could while still putting up a defensive front, they attempted to line up their targets just right. With thunderous roars that shook the sandy ground, the built up energy was released in explosive blasts that screamed out from their hands and flew across the battlefield.

A great power gathered within Drago's sword as he flew into the air on leathery wings. He swung the gleaming blade as the twins discharged their cannon shots. A beam of energy lanced from the sword and straight at the HeelNavi and his giant virus mount. The beam sliced the sky, angled just so to catch both opponents in its cutting line. The force of the release was too much for the blade, and it shattered into a million tiny pieces that fell to the sand below.

Drago wheeled in the sky and flittered about in front of the large virus, attempting to keep its focus on him. "You couldn't hit the broad side of your own terribly-constructed wall," he called out to the HeelNavi and his virus mount. His fists began to glow as he readied his own counterattack. "Here," he called out as he slowed his own movements, flapping to a standstill. He raised one glowing hand to beckon the two to take a shot at him as he floated there. "I'll let you have a free shot. I bet you miss."

Drago waited to see if he would be targeted and struck. If they took the bait and he was hit, the glowing fist of vengeance would make him disappear in a flash. His next reappearance would be right in the target's face. His burning fist of fury would lead him through the teleportation of righteous anger to smash right into the "lucky" HeelNavi or virus right in the jaw.

Then he would take wing again and move slightly out of the way. Weaving a partial circle around the giant virus' head.

Not one to let such a rude challenge pass, DragonierMan instructs his girls and takes wing. This simple action is apparently enough to startle the boisterous HeelNavi into a more defensive mindset, and his first move, while still perched atop his strafing mount, is to raise a thick shield in front of himself.

As the twins take up positions, Dragon attacks form on high with a vicious sonic slash which shears the HeelNavi's shield down to a single layer, and strikes through to the RapidFire as well. For the latter, though, a bright, fiery aura comes into sight where the sonic blade strikes it, and though the defence collapses under the blow, the virus itself escapes harm. For now.

The small options orbiting the virus spin once, then begin to pelt small fireballs hither and thither about the field. One shoots at each of the twins, while two more are directed upwards towards Drago himself, but despite the speed and accuracy of the tracer shots, the team of virus hunters all prove to be well capable of dodging; not a single bolt connects.

The girls end up in position to make their shots, and they do so in tandem. The strafing motion of the RapidFire carries it sufficiently out of the way of one of the canon shots, as it attempts to arc around its primary, airborne foe, but the second connects in a large blast. The HeelNavi on its shoulder cries out, even though he didn't get hurt; his shield shattered, he responds raising one hand on front of him, causing a glowing barrier to surround his body, as well as a more solid suit of armour. Chances are this Heel got where he was by protecting himself, while his artillery did all the work. Said artillery wasn't lucky enough to have a shield, though, and the blast from Aya's TankCannon causes notable damage. One of its arms sparks and hangs limp, small gouts of flame venting from the shoulder join.

It's about this time that Drago calls out his taunt, and it proves to be particularly well timed to infuriate and goad his oponent.
"You.. you rotten...! I'll show you, I will!" He fiddles with his weapon in between shouting up at Drago, and then points it upward, being sure to take extra careful aim while the dragonier offers him a free target. It the HeelNavi was a little brighter, he might have realised a deliberate ploy when he saw one... but clearly this navi used intelligence as his dump-stat.

He also picked the very worst moment to actually make a shot count. His careful aiming pays off, and he actually manages to ping Drago's I-field with a weak bolt from his buster. The only effect it has is triggering the other navi's counter and causing him to come smashing vengefully down on him. The counter tears effortlessly through the HeelNavi's defences, piercing them both and connecting a solid blow that throws him clean off his perch and onto the sand on his back.

With its foe standing on it, the RapidFire opened several ports and vents, exuding a truly impressive got of fire at him in close range, but Drago is faster, taking wing again and boosting off before the flames can so much as lick at him. The HeelNavi shouts and snivels a little, rolling over and getting to his hands and knees as he tries to recover himself. He actually looks kind of pathetic, scrabbling in the sand. The RapidFire continues to strafe without him, either unaware, or not caring that its 'master' has been dismounted.

The first round's trading of blows went completely to DragonierMan. "The Navi is weak. Focus on the virus!" Drago called from on high as the HeelNavi sprawled in the sand, and the twins dodged and weaved away from the incredibly mobile artillery platform. Drago, still close to the virus, took aim. His eyes centered solely on the large machine as he charged electricity inside him. The virus was too mobile for a creature its size, he would have to stun it or slow it down. "Suzume!" he called out to his support, "Summon the storm dragon. Aya, reel it in."

His commands given, Drago thrust his arms out toward the beast. The crackling electricity burst forth from his hands in a shower of lightning. His hair stood up on end and his skin crawled with the magnetism. Meanwhile, Suzume and Aya were keeping a wide berth from the guns of the giant Cirkill, keeping on opposite flanks to try to confuse the virus' sensors. They once more thrust their hands out again as electricity mounted around them, taking aim at the giant virus. "Hear me, great storm dragon. I call upon you to rain stormy vengeance down upon this giant virus!" Aya just frowned, mentally rolling her eyes so as to not loose sight of the mobile virus, and let loose a bolt of electricity with a crack and bang. The air exploded as a similarly giant dragon virus burst forth from the crackling air in front of Suzume and flew straight at the Cirkill.

Drago took wing again as the lightning leaped from his fingers at the virus, speeding away as the twin electric attacks came in from both sides. He flipped and spun away, twisting through the air like a sideways tornado. Then he juked hard to the side and spun back around to face the Cirkill. "Time for your deletion!" he shouted out as he charged straight at the giant virus. Null energies wrapped around him and made him into a battering ram as he flew forward. If he could aim himself so that he would slam into the HeelNavi also, he would take it, but his primary target was the giant Cirkill.

If he failed to finish off the virus, then he would take wing again and once more weave a partial circle around the giant virus' head. If the creature was deleted, and only the HeelNavi left, then Drago would take a defensive stance and gloat. "Is that all you can muster?"

The RapidFire virus continued to strafe the area, oblivious to the dismounting of its 'master', and arced on of its blazing bits upward in Drago's direction. The Dragonier, however, avoided it, and met the attack with a slew of electricity, frying that particular bit in the process and causing it to drop, lifeless, to the sand. Some sort of recoil seemed to affect the large virus and it flinched back, changing the arc of its strafe to lock onto someone else. The rest of Drago's attack washed over the virus itself before it was clear, shredding its only recently regenerated fire aura. The positioning did manage to obscure the less than intimidating HeelNavi, though, who mostly cringed and cowered now, putting one hand over his head and spraying a completely unaimed volley of shots at nothing in particular.

Then came the dragon. In the battle of giant viruses, the storming serpent was the clear superior, crackling across the terrain and engulfing the Rapidfire and the relatively tiny HeelNavi behind in a pall of painful electricity. The Rapidfire shudders and smokes, sparks cracking and dancing off in in all directions, then stumbles to a halt in the sand. It snaps and pops a few more times, then its remaining arm ruptures off in an explosion. Another separates its base from its body, then a third sends its head flying away to crash into one of the few remaining walls. Unsurprisingly, the wall collapses.

The HeelNavi cries out, though most of his panicked shout is drowned out by the pet virus exploding. His screams only intensify, though, as Aya's electrical reel slams into him and sends him sprawling across the sand. A green glow envelopes him as he tries to push himself up, snivelling, but any healing he managed was immediately negated by a very fast, very painful Drago slamming him back to the ground. With the dragonier standing in clear victory over him, the HeelNavi curled up, blubbering and begging in a truly pitiful display. Clearly, if he was actually able to jack-out and save his own life, he would have by now.

"Aughh... I'm sorry, I'm sorry, please don't kill me I don't want to die-ie-iieeee" Anything more was lost amongst his breakdown. Drago could finish him at his leisure, if he wanted, or spare the creature's life and condemn him to further pathetic continuance... either way, this fight was over.

Finish Him? Y/N
DragonierMan stood over the blubbering HeelNavi as Suzume and Aya walked over. Drago was hesitating. Hunts weren't as satisfying when the targets plead for their life. He wanted them to fight till the bitter end. Showing their resolve against all the odds.

The twins came to stand by him as he debated with himself over what to do. Aya grimaced at the display, "Pitiful. He should have known that this would be the outcome from the start." Suzume nodded. "Yeah. But now that it's here, what do we do with him? Do we finish it?" Suzume shook her head, "I don't know if I have the heart to at this point." Aya nodded, feeling a twinge of pity under a layer of disgust. "But if we leave him alive, what's to stop him from continuing to do the same to others? Not everyone is as strong as we are." Suzume shrugged.

Then Suzume stiffened, her eyes flashed a bright white, and her voice became layered. {Administrator Override, Magistrate.EXE.} Drago arced a brow as Aya shivered. That... monster was always there in the background, able to take control of them at will. Though it didn't happen all that often, it was still unnerving. {I suggest you spare this Navi and induct him into the Neo-Shogunate. There he will serve a purpose greater than the satisfaction, or not, of converting him into junk data.}

Drago was about to ask how, but Magistrate continued. {The one thing that the Neo-Shogunate has been seeking is positive exposure, to show that it is not an evil organization. When word gets around that even those that are considered loathsome, such as HeelNavis, could have a home and redemption in the Neo-Shogunate... well, it does not take a genius to figure out what would happen. Besides, it is the will of our Lord that we create a haven for the unoperated, that He might end up securing the NET where others have failed. End transmission.}

And with that Suzume regained full control of her body. Aya was glad it was gone. Drago nodded his head thoughtfully for Magistrate made a good point. And since that argument was brought up, Drago wouldn't lose face on the decision. "Suzume, Aya, create a link to the Neo-Shogunate camp." The twins nodded as their eyes lit up with code. As they scanned for an address point, Drago grabbed at the HeelNavi and pulled him to standing, letting healing energy from his Bravura signature code flow into the Navi. "Today is your lucky day boy. Your life is no longer mine to delete. You are now a member of the Neo-Shogunate organization. My girls here will see to it that you will be transported safely to their main camp. You are to report to First General Yasu, fall to your knees and pledge your life to their cause. You should not have to worry about deletion from that point forward. Fail to do this, and the next time I find you, is your last time."

As the twins found the address and opened a portal to the main Neo-Shogunate camp, Drago tried to push the HeelNavi through it. "Go, and serve us well." He watched until the portal closed then turned back to the twins. "I'm already liking this idea of growing their army while also destroying things. Two hunts at once is a whole lot more fun than just one hunt at a time."

N: WELCOME TO THE NEO-SHOGUNATE!! DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE A CHOICE IN THE MATTER? HAHAHAHA!!
The poor HeelNavi seems unsure whether to thank Drago for sparing his life, or to beg more as his sentence is pronounced. He's still a blubbering mess as he gets thrust through the link, but clearly eager to be out of the dragonier's presence, the last sight is of him scrambling away as fast as he can.

With the battlefield quiet at least, the trio are able to inspect their spoils. though most of the large virus has more or less self-destructed, collapsing into bugfrags and zenny, the one projectile piece that Drago fried earlier seems to have remained at least partially intact, cut off from the rest. While the main body of the virus disintegrates, this piece collapses in a more orderly fashion, coalescing into data that could easily be used again.

[Requesting Battle 6]
As they left the ruins of the poorly-built behind them, the virus-hunters pass from the barren sands into more stable terrain. The rock formations that rise around them are unusual and strangely shaped, with many overhands and curved crags. The temperature climbs further, and the sound of slow-bubbling lava can be heard all around, though none is immediately visible.

It's as they're passing through an area with a great many curled, overhanging spires, that something seems to trigger to their presence. All around them, a series of small portals open on several of the rock formation's undersides, and small white puppets with neat conical hats drop down, suspended by almost invisible razors strings. Two have orange hats, while two bear a darker shade of red. They all rattle and cackle, twitching on their strings for a few moments, before being pulled back into their portals again, biding.

The sound, however, echoes through the strange shapes of the terrain, and draws the attention of something else. Something larger. the thick, spiky-bodied snake weaves between the rocks, the sharp spikes of its body scraping and gouging rock dust was it rushes towards the trio. As it closes, its crashing against the rock formations creates cracks and rumbling sounds, and a small pool of magma opens up from a rend in the stone a tone point. It also dislodges something else, as two ancient-looking eggs tumble free of whatever hideaway they had been hidden in. They are brown and scaly, and unfortunately, far from inanimate. small gouts of fire jet from the cracks in each egg's surface as they both begin to propel themselves away from the snake, and towards Drago and his girls.

"Ok... first I'll take the snake, you take the eggs. Then we'll deal with the portal guys." DragonierMan said as he took flight towards the large, spiky snake creature. He flapped his celestial wings a few times to try to gain enough altitude to soar over the rocket-propelled flaming eggs that shot at them. Meanwhile, the twins immediately backpedal from the encroaching lava and rocket-propelled flaming eggs. Even though they could float safety over the lava without immediately getting burned, it would still be an incredibly uncomfortable position to be in. Plus being hit by rocket-propelled flaming eggs would probably not be pleasant either.

As Drago took aim at the slithering spiky serpent of fire, Suzume and Aya began flinging ice-cold water at the two ancient egg-rockets. Wide arcs of water flew from their hands at the Creggs, drawing from what moisture remained in air of this hellish landscape. They hoped, perhaps, that the cold water's sudden chill would cause the ancient fire eggs to crack more and splinter apart. Basic thermodynamics as they understood it. Otherwise they would need something else to deal with the hard shells.

Drago figured that he would have to bathe the big spiky snake of fire in icy water as well. And so, waiting for the proper time to strike, he caused a storm of ice to sweep out from his hands to bathe the big spiky snake of fire in cold water. As he poured on the cold he yelled at the snake virus, "It is time for you to chill, serpent of fire! Become wet and miserable."

More than likely the serpent of fire would not like being rained upon. So Drago took wing and tried to get out of the way of its fire or spiky based attacks. However, he didn't plan on traveling too far from the virus. This was just in case he could find another point of attack. Also, the three Navis were leery of the portal demons, trying to make sure they were not going to breathe fire on them or anything when they appeared. And hoping they could dodge said demon fire.

Drago took the dodging one step further and pulled out a knife. He charged it with slashing energy and waited to see if the portal demons would appear long enough for him to slash them. If they did appear long enough for him to get two or three, Drago would spin around and slash at them with his charged dagger. Trying to slice them and their strings to ribbons.

Drago wings clear of the Creggs, making to engage the anaconda quickly. The large virus patently wasn't expecting a direct attack and simply opens its mouth, sending out a jet of fire, rather than positioning itself more cleverly. The breath attack roars past the dragonier as he manages to avoid it with casual ease.

With Drago well off their radar, the two Creggs make a dash for the twins, one each, but even as they do, the girls are backing off at the same pace, and the result is a status quo with no contact made. At least, that is, until the twins counter attack, sending their decidedly cool and watery attacks right back at the on-rushing eggs. They are both thoroughly soaked and extinguished in a gout of water and steam.

Meanwhile, Drago takes position to make a counter-attack of his own, and with an aerial sniper's view, the resulting storm of ice hammers the giant serpent into submission before it can defend itself.

Only the hiding Whompers remained at this stage, and as Drago dodged into position to catch them, they struck. There were only, truthfully, very few position they could form portals from, but the little puppets attempted to make up for this with unified action, all four dropping from their overhanging ledges at once. This made it difficult for Drago to make range on only three of them, but in the end it didn't matter: his reflexes were sharper than the puppets, and his aim was good; all four got sliced free of their strings before any of them could so much as think about making their attacks.

Two were annihilated immediately, but the two stronger puppets fell to the ground, injured but intact. Cut from their strings, however, they flop about on the ground for a moment or two, helpless. One breaths a gout of fire, but it can only do it the way its face happens to be pointing, which in this case, is directly up. It's kinda pretty, but otherwise ineffective.

Well out of harms way, DragonierMan, Suzume, and Aya just unleashed all sorts of bullet hell on the two remaining, helpless viruses. Tank shells and electric blasts and boomerangs flew through the air, with some Buster Shots thrown in for good measure. All were evenly divided to vaporize the enemy into scrap data.

Helpless while they waited for their portals to reclaim them, the puppet viruses could do little but face the inevitable as Drago and his girls let them taste the barrage. Overconfidence and cockiness led all three of them to a rather poor hit rate overall, but in the end sheer volume of fire-power won the day anyway, and the remaining two 'threats' were eliminated.

Rewards: 1720z, 42 Bugfrags
It wasn't the most efficient way of ending the battle, but the results were the same. The trio collected their spoils before gliding off in search of more battles.

[Requesting Battle 7]
As they explore further, Drago and his SPs venture into and area full decrepit, post-industrial ruins. There may once have been some sort o operation going on here, between the swathes of metal plating, and the miscellaneous factory-grade machinery. Several spire dot the landscape, bearing vent pipes and other broken construction, and all in all finding a clear patch of land is more than a bit challenging. Most of the structures in the area have fallen various, scattering broken storage containers, wrecked building sections and broken retaining fences everywhere. Indeed, it looks to be not only abandoned in practice, but also a genuinely dilapidated part of the Hades net itself; in several places the terrain simply stops, leaving blank, ragged-edged holes into nothingness, many of which seem to cut cleaning through whatever unfortunate bits of wreckage had intersected them.

A whisper of sound comes from three of the holes in the terrain near Drago and the girls, and dark spectres rise out of them, blades glinting. A hiss and a snarled roar answer back from further off, between the obstructing wreckage, and the combined commotion stirs a number of smaller, mostly defunct machines into a semblance of half-life as they begin to twitch about in a vague shadow of their previous tasks. A clatter of broken pipes and rent steel announces the arrival of two far more function devices; two CirKils appear from the junk on either side, strafing easily around the scattered debris as they assess and set their sights on the intruding navi.

-=Battle 7, Start!=-
[x3] [x2] [x2]

Apparently the trio stumbled upon industrial ruins that must have been where the HeelNavi got his construction materials for his base. However, the ruins were not abandoned. Creatures of shadow, metal, and fire still lurked within the rusted factorium. The Nightmares brought back haunted memories to DragonierMan. Reminding him of the shadow monsters that he had fought in the past. A slight shiver betrayed his uneasiness in facing said monsters again.

The CirKills looked exactly like the large virus that the HeelNavi used, but were smaller. Though Aya doubted they would be less deadly. Their speed and evasiveness would prove to be challenging to fight one-on-one. Aya turned to Suzume who was also looking over the CirKills. They exchanged a wordless nod. They would have to gang up against each one individually if they hoped to bring them down.

Finally the dragons and their pots. Drago had also fought against these MagmaDragons long ago. This time, however, he had his own dragons. Fight fire with fire. Or, in this case, with water.

The three Navis girded themselves for a fight, shifting into an attack posture. They all were on high alert, as attacks could come at them from every direction. The trio moved away from the holes in the ground, as the glinting, shadowy blades were most likely close ranged weapons. And the trio didn't want to be close enough to be stabbed by them. Drago began moving towards the Magnet Crane, for if anything, he could use it as high ground to survey the battlefield. The twins, on the other hand, dashed towards the first CirKill, intent on deleting it first before it shot them up with lead.

The twins dodged and weaved through the twisting metal on cushions of air. Their floating movements making it easier to move over and around obstacles where being firmly earthbound would be a problem. Electricity charged through their bodies as they closed on the mobile virus, crackling off them in bursts of sparks as they passed by random metallic objects. With their sights dead set on the robot, they launched twin bolts of lightning from their fingers. The metal magnetized their blasts, speeding them along like rail-shot, and doubling their destructive power.

Reaching the crane, Drago waited until the MagmaDragons came at him. He scanned the vicinity and tried to calculate the timing, moving in such a way as to face both of them as they charged him. The air around him started to chill. Icicles began forming around his gauntlets as he raised them up and towards the positions of the two MagmaDragons. He would wait until they got close. They would have to get really close for a Blizzard. "Come dragons, show me your fire. I will slay you both!" he called to them as he watched them move.

Once they charged him and got within striking distance, he would roar and unleash a torrent of stinging ice upon them. The heat of the MagmaDragons would probably turn the ice to water and steam in an instant upon striking them, clouding the battlefield for a moment and making it hard for Drago to see if he succeeded in slaying them both. Although, if he failed, then he would feel it as they probably bash and burn into his body.

So he kept a defensive stance, trying to anticipate the next attack against his person, and avoid it. His boots shifted above the terrain, floating him above the junk. As he tried to avoid the MagmaDragons, or anything else that got too close, he unsheathed a few Kunai and began throwing them at the Nightmares as they popped out of their holes. The balanced and weighted throwing daggers flew through the air and disappeared down the holes, regardless of whether they cleaved through shadowy flesh or not.

Drago and the girls form up and ready themselves for action, moving nimbly about the field as they prepare to strike. Most of the viruses are confused for a moment amidst the scattering of targets, but the two CirKills simply swerve to adapt, one beginning to strafe with Aya, the other after Suzume. They duck and swerve around the many objects littering the field as they maintain their circles, and even cross over around each other briefly in the middle as they track their respective targets, each one firing a blast of energy as it does. The bolts move slowly, but with premeditation, towards the two SPs.

As the two slightly more miniature death machines cross over each other, the twins strike, sending off identical bolts of amplified electricity at their targets. Despite their best care, Aya's attack strikes debris as the CirKill swerves around it, Suzume has better fortune, though, and even as the two CirKills begin to bank away and retreat, her electrical attack manages to crash into one, the spreading flare of energy leaping to the other as well before it can get out of range.

A moment later the two shots from the recently deleted CirKills made their marks, or at least, one of them did. Both girls were ready to duck out of the way after making their own shots, but Aya didn't need to; the aimed for her went awry on its own, crackling against the stack of metal pipes nearby. The shot aimed for Suzume, though, was not only better aimed, but also seemed to have been fired with accounting for her attempted evasion; it clipped her painfully in the thigh, despite her best efforts to avoid it (Suzume -20).

In the aftermath of this commotion, the shadows struck. The girls had already run past, zeroing in on the CirKills, and now one of the malicious shades teleported up directly behind Aya's back, turning its body into a wicked dagger before striking at her, just as a second did the same to Suzume, thought he latter became a thrusting lance instead. The dagger was unfortunately unerring, and though she tried to get our of the way, its quick stab was too close and too fast (Aya -15). The lancing virus missed its mark, and thrust past Suzume to bury itself in a roll of chain-link fence, before pulling out and teleporting back to its original gap.

The third appeared beside Drago, turning into a wicked looking dark axe and making a mighty swing at the navi. So mighty, in fact, that it missed him entirely, burying itself instead in the guts of the Mag-crane. A great many sparks and crashes erupted from the contact, along with a gout of smoke. If the crane had still been in functional order before, it certainly wasn't now.

Drago himself was far more focused on making his moment count against the magma-dragons, biding his time in preparation as he called them out. Thus it was that he was more than ready and well lined up to meet their predicted rush with a dragon of his own, and despite the epic serpent battle of two-on-one odds, ice still trumped fire in a very thorough way, and both dragons were quenched well before their magma-trailing bodies could reach the Dragonier.

The three shadows had long since teleported back to their respective gaps in the network well before Drago launched his attack at them, and this were caught still, recovering, by the flurry of small blades that he sent their way. The first and third pierced their targets, though the second was a little too off-target to connect.
