HeelNavi? HellNavi?

Retracting all of his weaponry back into his armor, Eternalis looked around at the carnage he had caused, and stood akimbo in a victory pose. "Hahaha, it was nothing. Hey, Aurora helped, too, didn't she?" said Eternalis, looking at the Support Program, who was hovering across the area on her Sparkyboard. The other female of his group stood there for a while, glaring at her Navi. After a while... "... Showoff," she muttered, tapping on the board as Sparky aided her in following after Lucia.

Eternalis looked at Artio, walking alongside the large beast. Well, stuck with playing with the dogs again, he thought. At least he got some acknowledgement out of that. "Doesn't seem too bad. At least she's a lot nicer to be around with than my partner," he commented, patting Artio's fur lightly. He was starting to like walking from behind. At least it gave him some freedom to relax once in a while, not having someone else tagging along.

[Battle 3 - Ready]
Ostensibly, only three champus lay ahead in wait for the navis and their SPs, but with a little bit of closer looking, the navis discovered the truth. Several glass walls all around had obscured the view of the viruses hiding behind them, but soon the walls reflected the figures of several other creatures. They were difficult to number but it was possible an optical illusion was taking place and there were actually less than would appear at a glance.

Regardless, the navis had caught the attention of the viruses and several walls of glass were separating the combatants from their ambushers.

--BATTLE 3 START!--
Onward the little navi skipped into the network, even going so far as to start humming faintly as she moved. Though at seeing the mirrors navi let out a soft ooo'd sound and pointed ahead while stopping. "Look, mirrors! I bet I could fix up my hair!" At first navi paid little heed to the viruses, at least until her larger guardian Scooped head under the navi and outright forced her to slip onto his back. "Enough, fight first, play later." Beast growled towards the clearly visible viruses. Letting out a huff and giving the beast a playful smack the navi gave a soft nod. "Alright alright, Master, may I have some chips please?"

Request was honored quickly as the navi soon took on a golden glow that brought a surprised gasp from her. The energy of not one, but two chips suddenly surged through her systems and soon she drew herself up as she took in long, deep breath. Artio caught hint of what was coming as ears laid down flat just a breath's moment before Lucia leaned forward and let out a mighty shriek. If the loud noise wasn't bad enough, the sudden cry out caused waves to pulse through the air towards one of the glass walls.

Still she couldn't maintain such a scream for long and stopped with a few panted breaths. Once recovered the navi huffed and tried to bring herself up again to look threatening as her hands burst into flames. Drawing back, the navi thrust a quick jab forward, sending a blistering ball of fire towards one of the unhidden boxers. Following her one with another just as fast two punch to send a duplicate fireball towards yet another target.

While Lucia had taken care of the offense for the pair, Artio handled defense. With her mounted atop his back he took to the move, keeping sharp eye upon those glass walls just in case an attack came from one he'd be ready to sidestep it.

With the rapidly increasing numbers they had been facing earlier, Eternalis was rather surprised to find only three Champu lying in wait for them. It seemed like an unbreakable law that the further one went into a network from a jack-in point, the more viruses one would find. Eight downgraded to three didn't seem right, and, of course, it wasn't. Aurora had her scanning modes turned up on high alert, and several red points in her sight indicated that there was more to the battle that it seemed. "Ten signatures. Seven behind diffusion mirrors. I'm sending the data," said Aurora, pressing lightly on her ear-receiver.

Immediately, two screens appeared in front of Eternalis and Lucia's sights, just enough that they could read it easily and not be in the way. On the floating screens, there was a view of the scene from Aurora's point of view, signifying the hidden viruses she had mentioned earlier. Sure enough, when one looked a bit past the confusing mirror setup, it was clear that there were plainly many more than just the three Champu. In fact, there seemed to be many more than the ten Aurora had mentioned! "Hey, Aurora, are there really only ten? There seem to be a lot more," said Eternalis.

Aurora turned around at her Navi, and screwed up her face. She did not look very amused. "What's that? You're still doubting my data? The data that's been 100% accurate to this point? The data that's saved your ass more than once?!" she barked. A small electrical arc appeared by her hand, chaining up her arm to her hair, where it ended at the tip of her head. "Well, come to think of it, you do sound like you want to know what high voltage tastes like..." she taunted.

"Arf!"

A little bark from Sparky made Aurora look down a bit. On the board that she was riding on, the puppy's little head pointed his snout in the viruses' direction. Lucia and Artio were already heading off to fight, and... it seemed that the former had unleashed a pretty devastating shriek. It rattled both Eternalis and Aurora enough to snap them back into action. "Crap, she's off quick... I'll deal with you later," she said. "Harke, HeatDragon."

"Better. Et, I'll send you WaterLine and WideShots."

"... There's a lot more this time. I'll need to go full-assault. Boomerang, and Bubbler."

"All right. Set regeneration to maximum, don't get yourself into too much," said Harke, slotting in the chips one by one.

"Don't worry about it," said Eternalis, as he outfitted his offensive processes with the battlechip data. "Aurora, hand me Sparky."

"What? Why should I, bugface?" asked Aurora, turning around to glare at Eternalis.

"Because--"

"Because what? Hm? Can't do it alone? Ooooh, wow, you're such a piece of useless crap. Can't even do his own battling without a little puppy having to carry him around. What a sad thing," said Aurora, grinning maliciously. She was having fun, by the look of that particular face. Another stare-off was about to be initiated, when the matter was again taken into a certain person's hands. Or, in this case, paws.

"Arf!"

"Wha-- hey!" yelped Aurora, as Sparky suddenly flew off of Aurora's feet towards Eternalis. She caught herself before she could fall on her bottom, however, and managed to keep her balance before standing straight up again. She brushed herself off slightly before retorting, "What do you think you're--"

"Arf, arf!" the dog interrupted her, motioning for the Navi to get on. He did, after which Sparky zoomed off into the foray, leaving Aurora to stew in her own space. "The nerve, deserting me like that!" she said, turning to the Champu. I'll show him! she thought, as her body began to overheat. "Rrrraaaaaahhhhh!" she exclaimed, with her figure slowly glowing more and more with a yellow light, until she was completely engulfed within it. Her hair blew about her in a nonexistent wind, and she released the burst of the HeatDragon chip forward.

The chip took the form of a glowing afterimage of Aurora, blazing forward in a mad rage. The alter-Aurora rocketed forth, melting the path before her and completely incinerating everything she went through. Behind it, the real Aurora watched with a satisfied grin as she beheld the explosive attack. Soon after, the afterimage disappeared, and Aurora scouted the area for enemies.

Meanwhile, Eternalis was zooming around the mirror-walls that bounded the area, aided by an extremely speedy puppyboard. He saw Aurora's attack coming on fast, and motioned for Sparky to step up the speed. The SP barked in response, while Eternalis prepared his attacks. Holding up his arm-cannon, he pointed it towards each of the virus groups he passed, and released his battlechip load one at a time. Each time his arm-cannon erupted in a burst of energy, gleaming blue as the charges went on to decimate the battlefield.

Three charges later, he stopped for a brief moment to reach up to his fluid head, and pulled out a long stream of the fluid from his head. The stream shaped itself as it went on, eventually revealing itself to be a rather sizable boomerang. The fluid solidified, and Eternalis threw it towards the enemies he had just passed in an arc, hopefully finishing off any stragglers. Lastly, he loaded up one last smaller charge in his arm-output, ready to take out any of the Champus that would have survived Aurora's blitzkrieg, or possibly any other viruses.

While he waited, his regenerative processes went on full power, ready to reduce any damage he received.

Starting off the battle with a bang (or a really loud noise, at least) Lucia assailed the viruses behind one of the walls from atop her SP. The shriek shook the wall and sent sound waves radiating out from it, hitting the three viruses behind it hard. She followed it up with two flaming punches at the unhidden viruses, but they dodged out of the way. The third Champu attempted a counter, but Artio dodged out of the way with Lucia in tow.

Meanwhile, Eternalis and Aurora did their best to contribute by arguing for a while.

When they finally got down to business thanks to a timely interruption by the most mature member of the trio, Eternalis took off on one SP while the other raged so hard that one of the Champus was wiped out along with the nearest wall, exposing the viruses behind it and leaving a section of the battlefield coated in lava. Eternalis circled around while the attack went on and fired a Waterline at the injured occupants of the third wall. They were a little too wired from the last attack however, and managed to get out of the way. The wave crashed into the wall and finished it off, at least. Two Wideshots went flying soon after, tearing through one of the flaming Swordys but hitting nothing else. He had a little more luck with the Boomerang, landing a clean sweep on the Zemons and finishing one off.

As if that wasn't enough, the Bubbler also hit and splashed over one of the Champus. The remaining Swordy took a chance and swung at Aurora, landing a glancing blow as it moved off the lava. Thankfully, the Tromby seemed too put-out by the damage it had sustained to try attacking this turn.

"Hrk!"

Aurora recoiled backwards when the flaming blade of the Swordy-F went her way, slicing at her arm slightly. No blood flowed, but she clearly felt the pain, even as her natural regeneration processes covered up the graphical wound. Electrical sparks went up the wound to close it up immediately. It took a while for Aurora to realize that the regeneration process was being supplemented by Eternalis. Turning towards the supplier of said recovery function, she found that the Navi wasn't paying attention, and assumed it was the auto-heal function.

"... Tsk. Maybe I shouldn't be so harsh on the guy," she mused. "Harke, MagBolt."

Turning towards the Swordy yet again, her gauntlet glowed yellow, sparking as it gathered energy. "You, however, don't get any breaks," she said. Charging her hands with dense magnetic fields, she directed said fields towards the Swordy, prepared to swing a painful high-voltage uppercut towards its red helmet. Her gauntlet flew skywards, arcing with a yellowish trail, which would be sure to delete the Swordy outright if it hit. Following it up, she twisted her body around, keeping the momentum from her uppercut, and shot a bolt of lightning at the weakened Tromby nearby.

Meanwhile, Eternalis was still swooping around on Sparky, scouting out the area. Two of the large mirrors had been smashed to bits, and his attacks were mostly successful. Feeling the wind through his ha- No, wait, he didn't have hair. Oh well, he felt some kind of wind anyway. "Any particular requests?" chimed in Harke, as Eternalis went through a figure eight. "Not really. Any recommendations?"

"Eh, I'll just send whatever suits. DashAttack doubled up, FireHit, PhoenixShot. That fine?"

"Mmn."

Confirmation received, Harke slotted in the chips without further delay, fueling the battlechip data into Eternalis. As the DashAttack loaded itself into his offensive processes, an idea sparked in the back of his mind. As a result, the second duplicate of the battlechip did not go to him, but instead to Sparky. "Arf?" the puppy questioned, not used to having battlechip data downloaded. Crouching down, he patted the puppy's head on the front of his hoverboard lightly.

"On my mark, boy."

Activating the DashAttack, Sparky's microthrusters began to whir noisily, charging up for a powerful dash. The trademark battlechip of the Fishy virus gave the duo a shiny emerald glow as they began to vibrate. Then, during a single moment, the two disappeared, leaving a small trail of green as they reappeared on the other side of a couple of Zemon, probably cleaving the two in half. Stopping to a quick halt, Eternalis threw a quick punch towards one of the Champu, his fluid-like fist detaching itself from his arm-output like some strange blob of jelly.

The blob immediately ignited, courtesy of the FireHit battlechip data. The Navi's hand quickly regenerated itself from Eternalis' main body-fluid supply, but retracted slightly to make room for an arm-cannon. The Navi then scanned the field, trying to keep wary of any survivors to his assaults, as well as looking out for Lucia. His arm-cannon was loaded with some PhoenixShot, his regeneration fueled off a bit to Artio, and the rest to himself.

[Sorry for extended delays, issues should be resolved and should be back to a normal posting rate now.]

Lucia watched from atop her trusted support program as he kept sharp eye to keep them protected from the first assaults of both them and the viruses, and while most came out unharmed she still scowled at the gall the swordsman had to strike a lady.

Leaning forward she lit herself ablaze, the burning glow quickly overcoming herself and her ride, offering Artio her barrier this time to keep him safe as they started the next phase of this battle.

Soon she rose back up, reaching for her quiver as arrow formed within, bow burning to life as the navi drew and notched the obviously girlish bolt into place. The large pink hearted tip was drawn back while she turned her sights upon the trumpet. Faint twinkle took to navi's eye before the arrow was loosed, sending it sailing towards her goal.

Once the arrow was fired Artio took to the move, zipping across the battlefield to keep them from ever remaining in one spot for too long, not wanting to fall prey to any of the remaining combatants attempts to strike.

While her wolf took care to keep them on the movie Lucia received her next orders in the form of another burning chip that set her hands aflame. Grinning she rose up tall atop the wolf and drew back as if to strike, and strike she did as a quick right jab was thrust forward, followed up soon after by a left. Each strike, while seemingly aimed at only the air before her send fire burning forward. Growing in intensity and rage as the fiery blasts burst forth, rushing towards two very separate targets that were still exposed as targets.

Before that blaze could extinguish the navi laid forward to hug her beast in tight embrace, letting them both grow alight as she snuggled in tightly. For brief moment once again the wolf was surrounded by the fires that seemed to ever burn about his navi, Artio's response to such an action was little more than growled glance over the battlefield as those soothing flames healed the unseen wounds and fatigue from the rapid string of battles.

"Phew, that's a close one," said Eternalis, retracting his arm-cannon configuration to make way for his normal hand. Hovering over to where the team was gathered, he reverted Sparky to his original form, with the puppy appearing in his arms. Aurora looked at the other SP for a moment, then sighed. "Well, that was okay, I guess. Nobody really got hurt," she said, crossing her arms and scouting the area with her visor. With the Hades Network as scary as it looked, it was kind of imperative to take precautions. As it were, they had eliminated all of the viruses within her scanning radius. "Alright, should be good enough to progress. That is, if you can handle it," said Aurora, directing her statement at Eternalis.

"Whaaat? Of course I can handle it," replied Eternalis, crossing his arms and preparing for another stare-off. Unfortunately for him, he was cut off by a familiar voice. "You three, get off the network, right now," said Karen, who had presumably appeared right behind Harke, making him jump. "Gah! Sis?" he blurted out.

"I found something. Get off the network," she said, a dreary tone to her voice, like she was drained of all her energy.

Eternalis and Aurora looked at each other with a seething glare sent to each other, and retreated from their hostilities for the time being. Aurora went up to Lucia, who was currently snuggled up to her companion. "Ah, Lucia, I'm really sorry, but we have some issues. Could you tell your... 'master' that we're out for now? Thanks," she said. Eternalis merely nodded after, and Sparky gave a little bark, presumably towards Artio. After it was all said and done, Aurora looked back, and gestured with her head for the exit.

"Was nice busting with you. See you again sometime," said Eternalis, as the team disappeared into pillars of light.

[Jack Out]
Lucia gave a soft nod to herself and leaned down to hug her bestial partner as the last virus fell to the assault. Staying where she was for now as Artio moved forward and started to gather up all their share of the rewards. Though the navi gave a very obvious pout when she saw the other team grab up the burning blade left behind. "Aww, oh well I guess, I'll get one sometime." Still as the navi was just about to suggest moving on she heard Aurora and Eternalis speaking out.

"Er, yeah? Ah, ok... It was fun guys! Bye Bye!" She'd offer a wave as the other team left, only to cross her arms and pout. "I wanted to keep going, they have the weapon I wants!"

"We'll get it eventually Lucia, cheer up."

"Later, time to go you two, now that we know what to expect here, the power difference is obvious between the two of you and them. Come home, we'll work on trying to lessen that gap or remove it completely."
Lucia and Artio looked at one another before each seemed to shrug as Lucia hopped off in time for both of them to begin to glow. Blistering inferno burst up into the sky followed by a bright flash of light as a bolt followed behind.
