Fight Fire With Fire!

Voulge managed to be rather successful. The Volcano attempted to heal itself, but was too slow for Voulge's fabulous arrow.
He then fired another set of arrows and managed to not only skim the EarthDragon, but fly straight through the space where the volcano used to be.
Voulge then ran forward, preparing to stroke the EarthDragon, who once again attacked and once again got deflected by Voulge's unmentioned shield. Voulge manashed to bash the pot into a zillion net pieces, winning the battle!
And then he caused a cave in in the sand he was standing upon, burying himself up to his lower chest. He'd have to work on that whole "Parting the sand so dramatically that it ended up burying him" thing.
To make it worse, Licht was then forcibly ejected from Voulge's body as a result of the battle routine ending. Now the poor critter was buried somewhere under the sand.
Have fun getting out of that mess.

((Oh...Totally forgot about the Bugfrags XD Thanks for the heads up))

Voulge silently "stood" inside the sands, being a little hazed from his sudden change of the situation. Looking up, he saw Licht slowly floating up and down after being forced to eject when Voulge was seeped in. As soon as he was pulled out with the help of his SP, dusting away and draining all the sands out from his armors, he heard a small, feint voice not so far away from him. "Little help here!" Not so far, a small hint of Ignis popped out from the sands, constantly shining and dimming. "How did you get your self in so deep?" Voulge sat near Ignis and took this time to take a rest rather than to help out the crystal flame. "Hahaha, very funny. Now shut the fuck up and get me out." The navi was very tempted to just leave him so, since the worst it can happen was that the SP would be so badly damaged that a new one would be required. However, he couldn't help but to feel a little attached to this annoying nuisance and he dusted off a handful of sands away and started to walk away. "Let's continue, Ignis."

((I messed up. . . I wrote Licht got buried in the post, but my summary said Ignis, since I wasn't paying attention. Sorry. : D ))
But though he said let's go, they didn't actually make it anywhere.
Before they could leave the nice ring of sand, a flock of viruses appeared.
Likely summoned when they saw the PhoenixShot fly through the net, perhaps thinking it was a brethren, they rushed to the scene. Surround Voulge, all outside of the ring of lava, six FirePhoenixes appeared.
Looked like a lot of fun,

((Max HP Changes:
Voulge: 200 = 225
Ignis: 70 = 80))
Voulge immediately took notice of the viruses and grabbed onto his Avaria-Lancea to take up the basic battle position. However, rather than going straight into attacking the viruses, he looked up towards the exotic viruses and simply dazed on. "This is a sight to see.", "It is, you barely see these viruses anywhere else." Marius was also perplexed, but this wasn't the time to be so distracted. Voulge dipped the blade into the sands and gravels, causing few of the rocks and chunks inside the sands to rise up and pack into a single earthly disc. He slightly angled the spear so it would stand vertically and placed both his hands on the top. "Hurry Ignis. Licht, Dismissed." As usual, Voulge was a man with few words and immediately proceeded with his plans. He only gave a second for his SPs to do as they were commanded and plunged the entire spear straight into the ground. A small tremor shook the area and in an instant, the grounds cracked to reveal a vein of lava that quickly swelled to fill the entire place.
"OH THANKS, ASSHOLE."
Turning to his back, the navi found Ignis drenched in the lava. " 'Hurry Ignis.' Yea, thanks for telling me the half a second before SETTING ME ON FIRE!" With a silent stare, Voulge sighed and turned straight towards the FirePhoenixes once more, "You're alright though, correct? Then keep quiet." He confirmed to see that Licht was able to get away from the current battle, seeing that this battle was especially difficult along with the lethal lava panels, and pulled the chain attached the Lancea to retrieve it from the ground.
The moment the spear was on Voulge's hand once more, it shined in a blinding light and covered it self in layers of fire, soon revealing a golden trident and a golden net. The navi took couple of steps forward before vanishing into thin air, only to reappear behind the virus groups! He twirled both the trident and the net before hurling them both towards the pair of viruses and instantly prepared the flame bow on hand. The trident and the net was traveling in a strange pattern as it lobbed towards the virus rather than going straight, but this was more of a precaution if the viruses decides to fly them selves away from the danger. When the trident and the net was closing in, the trident's spear head and the net's size increased two folds so it could guarantee a catch.
When Voulge felt a small tug in the chain when the Trident made its hit on "something," he pulled the string of the bow to place three peculiar blue arrows. From top to bottom, everything was blue, but the head was a clear crystal with a small blue lights shining in the middle. With Voulge positioned behind the viruses and having a good grasp on the position, movements, wind-factor, and everything else in the short moment, he let go of his grip to send the three arrows in a spiraling road. The arrows was in a constant twist as it revolved off one another, but the arrows soon split in three seperate directions, towards the viruses to be exact, and exploded the moment it came in contact in a watery explosion.
Voulge took a couple steps back and pulled the string once more, but before he could do anything, he was shortly interrupted by Marius and ceased fire. "Great job. However, these viruses are pretty nasty in damage. Change to a defensive plan and stick with it." The flame bow was dispersed and instead was a silver shield that materialized in front of Voulge. With this, he should be able to repel an attack and he would be prepared to dodge what ever is next.

((Sorry, I'll change that now.))
Voulge set quickly into action. He first dismissed one SP and told the other to avoid fire, both orders were attempted.
He then covered the area in lava, which was partially successful. It didn't really affect his targets at all, as all combatants present were fire element, and all the targets were flying anyway. On the other hand, it got rid of the the hole, and Voulge would no longer have to deal with the cumbersome sand.
Voulge then teleported across the field, and behind one of the FirePhoenixes. Another one of them attacked the lava he had just been in, which totally missed him, and Ignis managed to dodge it. He then tried to net two birds. With a great hit, he wrapped up the first target with great ease, stunning it twice. However, the extra netting expended here may have had some influence on his failure to even touch the other virus.
From the Normal terrain now, he launched a Bubbler-V at the targets. Even with his bonus to accuracy, though, the fact that the enemies had been forming a ring and the attack split into a V after the first target was hit, it was basically impossible to hit three targets. He did hit one of them, though, and deleted it instantly.
Voulge was then attacked, but he managed to block it with his handy passive shield. He then pulled up a Guard, and managed to reflect an attack that came at him after that right back at one of the Pheonixes. Another one attacked Voulge, but he managed to dodge it easily.
The last of the Phoenixes attack Ignis, back in the center of the lava, but the little guy dodged this attack too.

Marius hoped that the Bubble-V would have proved to be more useful, but turned out worthless when only one of the arrows made its mark and the rest just flew by. Letting out a small sigh, he knew that he shouldn't cry over spilled milk and prepared the next chip. "These viruses are much more elusive compare to the rest we fought before. Keep that in mind when you use this chip." The operator took out chip depicting three gigantic barrels, prepared to fire at any given moment and loaded it into the PET. "Slow and steady, we're not in a hurry."
On the net world, Voulge also was uneasy how the attack was a failure, but he couldn't afford to waste his time frowning. He kneeled down on his one leg and picked up a small fragment of the Guard Chip he used the moment before. After he examined the piece, Voulge nodded to himself and flicked the part up into the air, combusting it on fire when it reached to the highest point. The navi stood up and the flaming fragment stopped it fall right in front of his torso, pulling the rest of the shield fragment on the ground to form a brittle, but effective defense. "Commencing combat. Ignis, take cover again. It seems like they're attracted to you." The SP shivered at the thought of being pecked by the viruses and immediately followed Voulge's command. "Get this thing over quick, alright! I don't wanna hide forever!"
Voulge spun his spear over his head, flinging the chain that is attached to the end all over the place, and stomped the blade straight into the ground. His grip over the weapon was loosened when he reached into his brigandine to pull out three of his favorite throwing knives. "Oh? Not in the mood for the Gunlance?" questioned Marius, but the tone of his voice sounded like he was teasing the navi rather than actually questioning him. "..." Voulge didn't give any answers back and began to fill the knives with his own fiery power as the once silvery blade began to turn dull and dark. Once the initial energy was transferred, he switched the surge link into the chip he received not so long ago and the weapons underwent yet another transformation. The charred blades literally exploded to reveal a lava blade that was the length of a standard long sword. It was constantly flowing in order to keep from hardening and the kept the hell like heat constant.
Voulge held the three daggers like javelins, completely unaffected by the heat of the weapon, and pulled the first one back. Just before he was about to hurl one right towards the virus, he suddenly remembered what Marius said before and began to keep his eyes fully open for the virus' movements. After a few seconds, he was already able to understand the pattern and movements and tightened his grip on the javelin dagger. Voulge placed his left leg in front of him, reinforcing his posture and balance, positioned the heat blade literally inches away from his eyes, making sure that he would get a perfect depiction of the javelin's line of fire, and kept the other two weapons close to his chest so preparing the next shot would only take less than a second.
"Take Flight."
Almost like an artillery fire, Voulge sent the first javelin right towards the first virus with a loud bang that shook the lavas beneath him; a sonic boom created the moment he threw the weapon. With the nearly unthinkable speed, the lava was crashing against the stale, heated air and the tip began to flatten into a dull spearhead like shape and harden rock hard. The javelin hit something. The solidified javelin tip could easily break through any defenses the viruses could've put up and it followed up with the searing lava body that immediately exploded into an unpleasant firework.
"To the next world."
He followed the first throw with the second, having the same change and effect as another explosion took place. Voulge was ready to throw the next, but saw that the one who he was about to target was already wounded from the previous moment and thought about changing it. However, the only remaining targets were the FirePhoenix that was stunned and the other one, who was too far away, so the risk of the attack missing was too high. His expression was completely unchanged, but Marius could see that Voulge wanted to have a little frown on his face. Maybe it was an act of anger, but the last javelin thrown was even faster than it was and created a bigger explosion than before...
When the assault was momentarily finished, the navi plucked his spear from the lava and slowly began to circle around the viruses. He was to wait until he could strike more, but within that wait, he simply prepared for the worst and sharpened his senses for an attack.

Javelins would come to rain, but first Voulge was to charge. As he built up energy to use the fierce Magnum, one bold FirePhoenix took the opportunity to flare up its wings and release a wave of scorching heat right at Voulge. Conveniently, his Phalanx Aspis came right in the path of the attack, taking the flames full-on until there was nothing left of the blaze. The other FirePhoenixes became confused by the utter and complete failure of their ally's attack, giving Voulge all the time he needed to charge up his Magnum.
With the technique of an Olympian, Voulge tossed a trio of javelins through the air. The first pierced its target virus clean through, with the bird giving out a gnarled squawk before dissolving into bits of data. The second javelin just barely missed its FirePhoenix, but the resulting blast from its impact with the ground still served as enough to fry the virus. Unfortunately for this phoenix, fire wasn't going to be reviving it any time soon. The third javelin was also slightly off its mark, but not quite as much as the second, as it ended up shredding off a FirePhoenix's wing, deleting it on the spot from the sheer shock of the injury.
In response to seeing their allies slaughtered so shamelessly, the other two FirePhoenixes became very angry, so much so that the one subjected to Voulge stuck shattered the restraint with sheer willpower. Both threw balls of fire at their assailant, but Voulge's quick feet (and perhaps his comfort with fire) let him dip in and out of the attacks without so much as a singe on him.
Ignis, who by and large had been disregarded by the viruses, watched on in awe at Vougle's well executed attack and evasion.

"Honorable...But futile."
With a simple wave downward with his Lancea, the lava beneath the navi divided in half and caused a few droplets to float upwards. He swung once more to send a powerful gust to solidify the droplets into a black marble, forming them into his pseudo-shield. "Your effort will unfortunately be for a naught. Forgive me." Voulge's body began to emit a thick heat wave, mostly originating from the spear on his hand, and the lavas beneath him began to boil in an accelerated pace.
"AreaGrab, Slot-In!"
As soon as Marius slotted the chip into the PET, Voulge vanished and left the heatwave behind to create a pseudo-afterimage. After the navi disappeared, there was an uncomfortable silence among the battle field, making the cowardice Ignis wonder if Voulge ran away from the battle or not. However, there was a small figure above the two surviving viruses and it was coming closer and closer to the ground! It was Voulge carrying a portable crossbow with a quill of bolts on his back along with the Lancea; all magically appeared within the navi's brigandine.
He reached into the quill to prepare three bolts and loaded the crossbow without a problem. Just before the navi was to pull the trigger, the bolt was enveloped in a black fire and altered the shape, sharpness, and the thickness all together, making it much more lethal than before. With a swift look through the sight on the crossbow, Voulge tugged the wooden trigger to let loose the tense string, firing the bolt straight down towards the torso of the first FirePhoenix on his sight. It took another second or two to load rest of the bolts, all gone through the similar transformation, and rapidly fired the two missiles to the virus next from the first target.
"Time to shine!"
Beneath the two viruses was Ignis, coming out from his hiding streak with multiple fires residing besides him. "EAT THIS AND SHOVE IT DOWN!" Almost like a machine gun, almost limitless amount of fireballs flew upwards towards the viruses, commencing a two-pronged attack from above and below. Ignis' attacks weren't as powerful as Voulge's but with the previous attacks, even the viruses shouldn't be able to withstand the heat and perish. The shots was nearly coming to a stop, but the SP pulled all the strength he had in him to create one last, gigantic fireball and launched it by tackling his body against it. "Nighty night!"
Voulge, still above the viruses but getting much closer to the ground, threw the crossbow away along with the quills and held his Lancea tightly against his chest. "Phoenixshot!" Marius uploaded another chip in, causing the Lancea to undergo a transformation into a gigantic guillotine! With its thin, wide blade, the weapon gave Voulge a bit of aerodynamic as he sped up as he came closer to the viruses. He tightened his grip over the weapon and laced it with his own power to make the blade much wider than before and covered it in fierce red flames. Second before the blade came in contact with the virus, he pulled his body so he would position his feet against the guillotine and pushed it so it would have an extra force behind it and put him away from the danger of crashing head front into the ground. The guillotine cut through anything that was in its way with ease and transformed back into its original form before causing a large destruction on the ground. Voulge also landed safely onto the ground, but he wasn't sure if the viruses was fully taken care of and immediately darted to safety and pulled a shield in front of him.

Voulge amps himself up before teleporting behind the viruses, readying a bow and shooting Kunai-tipped arrows at the FirePhoenixes. He then finishes them off with the help of his support program and and a fiery Phoenix of his own.

Voulge looked up at the sky, disabling the shield he placed, and saw the money float down onto him. "This is quiet a sight..." When everything landed to the ground, Voulge's mouth bended slightly down and began to pick the money up from the ground one by one. "Hey Ignis, at least help out." said Marius as he leisurely watched the navi do the hard work. "You're the one to talk...C'mon Licht." The dismissed SP came back from the PET to help with the picking up, and before they knew it, all the zennies was gathered up in one clump and teleported into the PET bank. Voulge and the two crystal flames prepared to continue their little journey without a word to each other, which has become the usual behavior in this group, and began walking northwards into the deep net.
