Tennisman serves Justice

The Remotebit hovered into position and let down another crash of thunder over the other Heelnavi lingering nearby. Tennisman took it as an opening and prepared to leave his small alcove while he was still armed with some level of defense.

"DashAttack." He said and pressed forward, keeping his body low to the ground and aiming for where the last bolt of lightning had landed.

Desmond slotted in the chip, accelerating Tennisman well beyond his limits and creating a shockwave around his body as he rushed past the the two Heelnavis with blinding speed. If his hunch was correct, he would find Deuce lying in wait for him.

Meanwhile, Fifteen grew antsy just floating around. To him, there was an exciting game unfolding without a proper umpire to govern it and provide rulings. He had to step up. Hovering out of the brush, he caught up with Tla and stayed well behind the incredibly muscular navi, cowering behind him. He followed the bulky meat shield's movements like a shadow.

"Thirty-Seven points to the wall." Fifteen announced and produced a green card with one of his ears before flicking it onto the navi's back.

Tennisman immediately recognized the piece of Deuce's frame jutting out from the thick foliage as he reached the watchtower. Not only his speed, but his reflexes had temporarily improved drastically and he was able to snatch his arm out to catch Deuce's grip before coming to a stop. The DashAttack data wore out, but not before Tennisman used his enhanced speed to increase his awareness and cover his blind spots from attack.

"Did you miss me?" Deuce asked.

Tennisman didn't have time to answer as he spun around and began to dispense tennis balls from his cannon's clip, serving them one after another at the enemies in his path. Yellow steaks shot through the air in a rapid fire volley of projectiles as Tennisman mercilessly tried to strike down the navis before they could properly counter-attack. His racket cut through the air in a wild flurry of strikes as he re-assessed the situation. Without stopping his attack and as much as he hated it, he barked out an order to Tla, "STOP THE NEW RED NAVI!"

"Here, slotting in an Avalanche." Desmond said, slipping in his personal selection into the PET.

The chip data arrived just in the nick of time as Tennisman ran out of tennis balls. He slammed Deuce's head into the ground, creating a heavy tremor that reverbated throughout the complex. If there was anything in the area that didn't know about their presence, they did now. From the sky, isolated blankets of snow descended like marshmallowy meteors, smashing into the landscape with billowy puffs of snow. Tennisman figured there were strill straglers around, prompting him to unleash an unconventional method of sniffing them out.

"Pickpocket." He said.

"What? Are you serious?" Desmond asked with a chuckle before slotting it in anyways, "I totally didn't think you'd use this now."

"I have to agree." Deuce stated.

The Bandacoon replica compiled itself from the grass at his foot as Tennisman leaned on the watchtower leg for some cover and a bit of a reprieve. Sucessfully formed, it stood up on its hind legs, sampling the air with quick whiffs of its nose, seemingly curious about everything. Tennisman snapped his fingers to get its attention and locked eyes with his summoned virus. Without a word, he tilted his head towards the open battlefield in a command that the Bandacoon seemed to understand as it darted off without hesitation.

"Well, that's one way to do it, I suppose." commented Deuce.

"Keep on firing!!"

The enemies were constantly focusing fire at TennisMan's location underneath the forest, exhausting the navi's defense to the near limit. It wasn't until the Remotebit struck the HeelNavi that averted the enemies' attention for a split second, letting TennisMan dash straight through the two and deleting them in one attack.

"He's over there now, don't lose focus!!"

The navis weren't no regular grunts. They quickly readjusted to their target's shift of location and never ceased to attack. Due to all the focus fire, TennisMan's and Deuce's defense was brought down and finally suffered minor damage from it all.

"...Here I go!" As soon as he hinted TennisMan through the communicator, Tla dashed out of his grassy cover, barely letting Fifteen catch up due to his explosive speed. He attempted to time himself with his partner's barrage of tennis balls by attacking the lone WorkerNavi.

TennisMan's attack finished off one of the heavily injured armored navi, but the other, standing far south, was much too obscured due to the building and the large watchtower in the way. "No problem, Denizen!" Even though rushing straight into the center of the enemies made Tla completely open for attacks from all directions, he was able to crush the other armored navi along with the worker navi with his blow dart.

All the enemies were taken care of...But it was fairly obvious that more was coming their way. The factory building where the armored navis were coming from ceased to let out more of those pesky navis, but it was ominous as of why they suddenly stopped coming out.

"...Quick, Denizen. Grab what you can and follow me into the factory."

Tla knew something was strange, but as a NetPolice, his mission was absolute and had to complete it. He simply rubbed his wounds with a handful of grass and threw it aside, bravely walking into the factory...

Tennisman pulled his wits together to realize the battlefield had been cleared as planned and he was good to go. There was no time to tend to his or his support program's wounds and he followed Tla into the building with Fifteen lagging behind. Zenny and bugfrags were recalled by some PET function and the hidden Remotebit in the grass decompiled itself, leaving nothing of Tennisman's behind.

((Next Encounter))
Tla, TennisMan, and his crew of SPs was able to sneak through the entrance of the building without running into any trouble. Two piles of bags was conveniently placed near the entrance, so both navis took cover behind. "...Hold for now, Denizen. I'll take a look." The navi peeked out from the side and examined the building

The building was relatively empty besides the obvious group of Mafia navis, already waiting to deal with the intruders. Among the group of enemies was one navi that particularly stood out from one another, obviously assuming the position of the leader amongst the navis.

His skin was light brown and stood at the enormous height of 6 foot and a half, having a giant afro that looked like a giant milk dud to fill the other half of the foot. He was dressed in a long coat made entirely out of chocolate bars, having cursive engravings of the word "Choco" on every single piece. His pants and boots also looked like it was made out of some chocolate material, but instead, they were pearly white. The navi wore a white shade that hid his eyes with its solid white lens and had in his mouth a cigar that was fuming out sweet-scented, brown smokes.

"Don't be sweating bullets, man. We already moved out most of de stuff before t'ings for serious." The navi spoke in a heavy accent as he gave out a genuine smile, letting out more smoke to fill up the building. "B-But, ChocoMan. Those cops already found out what we were doing! They must have! They couldn't have raided this place without knowing anything!" ChocoMan brought his white-gloved hand up to the nervous HeelNavi's shoulder and took a big puff of his cigar. "Mista Honeywell knows what he's doin. We just need to move those two out of the way before things get too crazy!"

But as ChocoMan pointed his fingers towards two baggages where both Tla and TennisMan was covering behind, the navi turned silent for a moment and cracked a smile. "HA, This is just toooo great! These po-pos know how to do their job!" The navi blew out another cloud of smoke, but it was heading directly towards Tla and TennisMan's direction at an alarming rate. The smoke settled down before anyone could do anything and changed the terrain into a slippery pool of melted chocolate in a blink of an eye.

"Fellas! De po-pos are here!"

All of the navis pointed their weapons at the baggages instantly as they prepared to open fire to rip through the intruders.

"...This doesn't look good, Denizen."

-MISSION PART THREE, START!-
In a surge of what could only be described as digital adrenaline, Tennisman's mind rushed to formulate a plan. He knew there wasn't any time to work out the finer details - It was time for action. Without even passing a glance at Tla, Tennisman assumed command with the order, "FOCUS ON THE LEADER."

Shifting his footing, he and Deuce disappeared from their spot, leaving a surprised Fifteen to fend for himself.

"Crap!" the lone support program blurted out, unwittingly drawing attention to himself.

It was just as Tennisman planned as he had aimed to take out the small fry in order to clear a path for Tla. Desmond had picked up on the plan before it was hatched but didn't fully realize it himself. It was pretty standard fare at this point to slot in the Windracket and Fightersword at the first sign of trouble, especially with this many targets on the field. By the time Tennisman touched down behind the group, he and Deuce were fully armed and prepared to strike. Unfolding his arms, the navi lashed out with the two chips simultaneously. A wall of air blasted its way towards on half of the group while a razor streak cut across the other half.

This was as far as his planning took him.

Fifteen continued to yammer a string of panicked noises as he rose high into the air, flying around in circles and trying to avoid being hit. Deuce filled the awkward lapse in momentum by erecting a barrier to protect himself. Tennisman followed suit, turnning his focus inwards and mentally preparing himself for counterattacks.

In the midst of his wild flight pattern, Fifteen retained enough composure to generate a green card in one of his appendages and flung it at Tla citing, "ADVANTAGE: TLA FOR... WHATEVER."

Tennisman noticed the armor navis were still a threat and through past experience, he knew he couldn't take them out in a single hit thanks to their inherent undershirt programs. He aimed to at least incapacitate them as he held out an open palm in their general direction and called out, "Elecpulse."

Magnetic rings cascaded from his fingertips in a flux of incandescent ripples. He hoped their bulky looking armour would keep them in range of his attack as he executed it. He couldn't afford to stand there and continue to generate the electrical disturbance, prompting him to withdraw his hand after only a second and a half. Split seconds mattered more than anything now as he used the time he had saved to aim the dwindling energy from his Fightersword into a critical blow against the trio of defensive opponents. He knew it wouldn't be enough to finish them but at least he no longer had to maintain the FighterSword's form in his mind.

TennisMan successfully countered the enemy's first initiative with his own, taking out the HeelNavi squad without letting them give a chance to attack. "Ohh, dis po-po knows his stuff!" ChocoMan had a giant grin on his face with his cigar bitten between his teeth as he watched the HeelNavis get destroyed. "But too bad ya stepped over the boundar'y" The brown-clad navi raised his hand towards TennisMan as it began to ooze out brown muck.

"Thank you, Denizen! NOW DUCK!"

Before ChocoMan could take advantage of TennisMan's frontal(?) attack, Tla already rushed through the group and landed a straight fist on Chocoman. Continuing his actions, TennisMan began to focus on the ArmorNavis but could not manage to delete any of them. "A-Attack! Get him before he gets us!" Getting fired by machine guns from three different angles didn't make TennisMan's deflection all that useful as he was wounded in the end.

On the side line, ChocoMan recovered from Tla's devastating attack and spat out a glob of black spit to the ground. "...Ya gonna pay for that." The navi began to suck up the rest of his cigar as the ashy remains began to fall from his mouth. The brown, sweet smoke drifting away from his mouth began to move towards Tla, almost like a snake, and began to wrap around him. "Burn dan everytin'!" With a snap of his finger, the smokes lit up in flames along with Tla at the very center of it. Though the netpolice was able to get out of the attack, he was severely injured and almost out of breath.

"Huff...Huff...Deniz-...TennisMan...I need some help!"

Seeing his ally in trouble sparked a flashback to the last time Netpolice were involved in one of his fights. An image of Barcode being sent offline overlaid itself over Tla's crippled form. He didn't notice as his pupils sharpened themselves into narrow slits and wisps of building steam evaporating from his shoulders. His normally composed demeanor strained itself into a vicious snarl as a familiar change began to take shape.

Before anyone could react properly, Tennisman let out a deafening roar that echoed throughout the warehouse, shaking the foundations to its core. A towering explosion of water erupted from around him, instantly flooding the interior of the building. Lighter boxes were washed away by the unexpected tide along with the still burning embers and mud from ChocoMan's attacks.

A chill ran up the back of Desmond's neck as he knew where this was heading but could only watch and support from behind the PET screen. This was what their training was for. There was no time to panic. The Netop took in a deep breath sharply and held it, psyching himself for what was to come.

An instant later, Tennisman burst out from the misty aftermath fully transformed. His arms and legs now sported fin-like protrusions along with the rest of his body. He was sleeker and engineered to be an efficient hunter while still retaining the bare essentials of self-control. Empowered with the rage and overflowing energy from his taboo technique, he glided across the watery surface effortlessly like a jet-ski straight into ChocoMan's face.

The Katana chip sprang to Desmond's mind simply by looking at the long curved fin running down Tennisman's back. As soon as it was slotted in, Tennisman's claws locked themselves into bladed rakes, ready to attack. Two rapid slashes at the brown navi served only to fuel his fury as the next set came even faster than the first. Tennisman saw the world practically moving in slow-motion as his new perfectly honed animal instincts supercharged him with where Chocoman's vitals were and where he was most likely to try and escape to under the onslaught.

The Elecshock was uploaded next in a desperate gamble to take advantage of the situation. Tennisman bore his sharpened fangs at his prey and practically unhinged his jaw to unleash a cacophony of thunder. Thick bolts of lightning arced across the seascape in jagged streaks all around ChocoMan and shattering the rippling waves like glass. The ground gave way, forming a deep triangular chasm into which the edges began to flood into naturally. Tennisman circled the pit in anticipation, his shark half compelling him.

That wasn't enough to finish off ChocoMan and Desmond knew this. He took a moment to swallow some spit and clear his throat before slotting in his SummonBlack chip last with a hint of hesitation.

From the depths of the rapidly filling hole, something began to stir from the puddle. An avatar of Tennisman's deep-seated emotions took shape in the form of a pitch black shark's fin. The fin cut its way towards ChocoMan before lurching up. A massive head broke out from under the surface, jaws wide open with rows upon rows of razor teeth in a terrifying display. The shadowy creature's maw snapped down and shook its head side to side trying to tear away anything unfortunate enough to have been caught by it.

From behind Tennisman, a volley of tennis balls and cards shot forward, dissipating what was left of the summoned monstrosity in a wide spread.

"Was that enough?" Deuce called out from his vantage point, apparently dropped and abandonned after Tennisman had transformed. Fifteen stayed perfectly quiet, awaiting the final results of their last ditch effort.

"I can't believe what I'm witnessing..."

Tla fell silent when he saw TennisMan sudden turn into a rampaging beast, attacking relentlessly against the unsuspecting ChocoMan. The afro-haired navi tried to remain calm when the "beast" began to attack him, but it was far too overwhelming. "Shit, 'mon. When de hell did de po-pos get some like you?!" ChocoMan threw a handful of black marbles at TennisMan's general vicinity, each of them exploding in rapid succession to break down the navi's defense, but it wasn't enough to bring him to a halt.

"No one disses me like dis, mon. No one!"

Even after taking the attacks from TennisMan, ChocoMan stood tall as he inhaled a big smoke though his Cigar. He was bruised, but still held his ground. The navi knelt on the watery floor and plunged both of his arm into water, causing several black ropes to emerge and began to hold TennisMan down! Laughing, ChocoMan slowly approached towards his bounded enemy and clenched his hand into a fist. "Dis animal has ta be put down..." He landed a direct hit on TennisMan's back and retracted his fist back for another, till Tla finally came to intervene as he caught ChocoMan's arm. While ChocoMan was too affixed at TennisMan, Tla had already taken care of the remaining ArmorNavis and directed his attention in helping his partner.

"Stand down and kneel before me, LESSER BEING!"

With a punch of his own, Tla sent ChocoMan into the water till a thud was heard at the deepest part of the sea panel. The attack had caused the navi to nearly lose conscious as he idly floated on the water, still biting into his wet cigar. "...Ha...M-mission failed, ya?" Before Tla could apprehend him, ChocoMan took off as he jacked out of the nearly-destroyed factory!

Chocoman's restraints weakened enough to allow Tennisman to cast off his black bindings in an explosive display. His arms outstretched and his fury fading fast, his fins and primal armaments quickly lost their rigidity and opacity. His shark-like features melted away and dispersed into the water at his feet. He looked around to make sure there were no more threats before taking a step forward and staggering. Deuce and Fifteen swooped in to provide support despite their awkward shapes.

"I am alright." Tennisman said, standing up straight again.

He looked to Tla in silence for a hint of what was to come. Whether it was condemnation or praise, he was prepared to take it.
Tla's finally stood upright after his attack against ChocoMan, releasing his fist as he began to breath deep through his nose. "...GUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" The navi broke out into an obnoxious laughter as he approached TennisMan, taking his right hand unwillingly as Tla clasped both his hand around it into a tight grip. "Nicely done, TennisMan! Why did you hide the fact that you had the power of the gods within you?" said the navi as he began to frantically shake the hand, commenting about TennisMan's BeastOUT. "No matter, no matter...We were able to stop their operations and caught those filthy peasants red handed!"

Finally letting go of TennisMan's hand, Tla began to walk across the wet factory as he inspected what was left of the packages. " 'Tlaloc', do you copy? The recruit and I successfully secured the factory, over." His tone swiftly changed from his loud and outgoing into something much more professional "This is LOC-3, we copy. We were able to find LOC-7 and secure the rest of the perimeter. Mission success, commander." Tla had a sigh of relief after he heard that his squad member was safe, taking his mask off for a brief second to rub his eye away from TennisMan's sight.

"I have to thank you, TennisMan. We will do the rest and you can return to the recruitment center anytime, I'll send the approval along with a letter of recommendation!"
Tennisman had nothing to say to Tla anymore and was still feeling the draining effects of his recent BeastOUT. It was enough of a challenge to stand upright at the moment, leading him to simply nod his head in compliance and wait for Desmond to jack him out.

Desmond had nothing to add as the whole mission had left him running on empty as well. He was hungry and sleepy and no longer had the patience for anything more complicated than unplugging his PET.

Tennisman and his two support companions disppeared from the network in three separate beams.
