Mission: Experimental Chips!

"I refuse."

Voulge gave an immediate answer to the tempting offer and held the spear with both hands. "From the look of it, you do have something. There is no way that simple information about Voulge could make you so confident." Marius prepared three chips for now and placed them into the PET. While he was doing so, he quickly typed up a short message to Voulge, listing the tactics he want the navi to use.

Nodding his heads as he accepted and read the message, Voulge kept his stance and activated the first chip. Though it occurred in less than a second, a reflective barrier covered the his entire body and immediately turned transparent.

"Just pray that this works."

Voulge felt hesitant about the next step of the tactic as his left hand set blazed by the ever-unstable Ember and the right hand formed a black sphere. Knowing that the ember was so unstable, Marius decided to use that in favor as he wanted to combine the two into a single attack. The navi took the two and bashed it together in the middle, causing a small, pitch black light to shine around the chest.

Without a second to lose, since a second wasted would be another second to deal with the abomination Voulge created, threw the bomb right towards Blue.

TURN SPLICE
Voulge sprinkled himself with a handful of warding salts as Blue seemed to shake his head lightly and say, "That is most unfortunate."

Red seemed to fully regain his senses and charged a ball of fire in his hand while Voulge did the same. However, things took a turn for the awkward as Voulge's Ember began to glitch up even more than before. It seemed to take on a life of its own and grew a ghastly pained face. Before it could completely take shape, he combined it with the Sludge Bomb and launched it at Blue. The navi pulled up another shield to block the attack but couldn't do anything about the splash of toxins that spread around him. He coughed and moved off the purple panels but had more problems to worry about as the Sludge gathered together to form some kind of virus. It looked like a Candevil but it was completely purple and coated in poison. It attacked Blue, who tried to block the hit but found himself unable to.

"Highly unexpected." He groaned.

Red finally finished charging and attacked with his own fireball but it fizzled against the Light Screen and struck Voulge at seemingly diminished power. He seemed surprised at the fact and spat, "Tsk, Blue was right..."

Meanwhile, the Earthdragon continued its blind rampage until it finally hit a wall. Its long snaking body shuddered from the impact and then fell limp. It looked as if it knocked itself unconscious.

Though his new creation did its job by damaging Blue, it also created a brand new problem as Voulge had to face one more enemy. He looked at the strangely colored virus and wondered about its real intention: To attack the enemies, or to attack Voulge.

He had no time to waste before Red and Blue would strike again, so he immediately began running straight towards the calm enemy navi. Marius then loaded the next chip, creating a mechanical gauntlet covering Voulge's left hand. "Maybe the virus is hostile to them for now, hoping that this virus won't know the difference between you and them, since for them, you're nothing but targets. Try to hit the navi only."

Voulge didn't even shake his head to acknowledge Marius' command since he was so concentrated on attacking with the Supersonic. The navi widened his hands to activate the chip, revealing a yellow hole on the palm that was letting out a loud noise. He stuck the hand straight towards Blue and fired the beam like sound waves right at him

Blue saw Voulge charging towards him with the attack and dodged out of the way. The Candevil chased after Blue and was promptly struck with the Supersonic attack meant for him. It roared and tottered around, clearly confused and disoriented by the attack.

Marius clicked his tongue, frustrated that the attack hit the completely wrong target. "That navi is much more troublesome than it should be." Voulge agreed with a quick nod of the head and prepped for his next attack. "We need to take care of that defensive navi first. I fear that he might have something that might turn everything around."

Within his brigandine, Voulge pulled a seed, no smaller than an average one, and tossed it up and down. He looked up at Red with a sharp eye, rather than his initial target, Blue, trying to get a quick lock on to the navi. Marius wondered why Voulge suddenly changed his target, but couldn't say much about it when Voulge flicked the seed with his thumb. Though it was a simple toss towards the navi, the seed was traveling at a speed of a bullet and headed straight towards the torso! "That should keep him occupied, even for a little while."

Voulge flipped his Lancea around and around, warming up for the next attack and gave a frightening smash to the ground to create a small crack on the ground. "Beginning the assault!" As soon as his words was out from his mouth, the Avaria-Lancea's blade shined twice the shine and brilliance than it was. Voulge took a gigantic leap towards Blue and swung his spear around, hoping to get a few hits on the navi. If the enemy virus was to deploy his barrier like he always did, the spear would easily cut through it and reveal the navi for Voulge's next attack!

After a few swing, the spear reverted back to its original luster and Voulge promptly backed away. He raised his weapon up on the air, causing it heat up in bright orange and emit intense heat waves that distorted everything around, including Voulge. The navi plunged the spear into the ground and all the heat pin-pointed right at the tip of the blade. He sent a provoking glance at Blue, tempting him to attack straight at him. Voulge left himself completely open as his hands let go of the spear, crossing his arms, but he actually planned on getting hit by the navi. He planned on activating the Avalance chip the second the navi attacked, leaving him open for the devastating attack. With the help of the Nasty plot, the heat from the spear would instantly melt the snow from the avalanche and send a surge of a faster, more powerful wave of water at the navi!

Red swatted the flimsy looking seed with his hand but didn't expect it to sprout at his touch. It stuck to his fingers, quickly growing vines to ensnare the furious navi. He ripped off the vines only to find more growing to take their place. While it slowly sapped his strength, Voulge ignored him to use his final untested chip: the Fury Cutter.

He slashed at Blue with his lance, newly imbued with the battlechip data and found the strike extremely lacking. The navi was even able to deflect the blow with his hand but had some difficulty parrying away the second blow. His eyes widened as he quickly figured out the trick and moved back to avoid further strikes. The Candevil had taken to spinning around in circles while spitting random fireballs, but none of them hit anything.

Voulge stopped attacking with his Fury Cutter and dropped his guard to taunt Blue as he did with Red just seconds before.

"Foolish." Blue uttered and charged a massive ball of energy over his head.

Voulge almost regretted his taunt as a powerful beam shot down from the ball of energy with enough strength to pierce through him and punch a hole in the panel behind him. If he was anything less than his current self, he would have been deleted on the spot but Voulge held on and executed his counterattack.

The wall of ice that made up his Avalanche grew behind him with twice as much strength, seemingly powered by the energy of the attack he had just taken. It rose up to monumental heights before surging over Voulge and crushing Blue under a mountain of water and ice. It spread over the poison and cleared away about half of the it, much to the dismay of the Candevil. It seemed to snap out of its confusion instantly and turned to the source of the Avalance. Meanwhile Red had had enough and roared, summoning an aura of fire that incinerated the vines, the seed and everything else around him.

As the ice cleared, Blue had somehow managed to survive the attack. He coughed up water and stuttered into his emblem, "...Re-Remove the barrier..."

Far away, the EarthDragon twitched back to consciousness.

Voulge was shaken up by Blue's devastating attack, proven as a stream of blood started to trickle down on the navi's mouth. Like any navis, he wanted some rest before continuing on with the battles, however, seeing that one his enemies was on the verge of deletion, there was no time. "Send me a Vine Whip and a Rock Tomb..." Marius didn't question the navi as he prepared the two chips, but wondered what he was going to do with them.

In a blink of an eye, two chain whips appeared on Voulge's hands. Grabbing onto the handle and letting the loop of chains drop down on the floor with a heavy thud, the navi swung it around and around himself. With the wounds he received, even Voulge was having a hard time getting a solid grip on the whip, but he needed to push himself in order for his plan to work. In just seconds, both the whips was shot directly towards Blue, but something was strange about the way it traveled. Like a snake, it was loose and little bit wobbling, as if no power was behind the attack at all. However, Voulge was actually aiming for this type of attack as he wanted to entrap the navi with the whip and not let it escape. As soon as the whip was getting near the target, Voulge tossed the handle on his left hand to his right and started to move his arm in a speeding blur. The chains started to circle around Blue in a blinding speed and began closing in on the navi until it started to grab onto its body parts and snare it right in place.

Voulge yanked the chain with all his might, to make sure nothing was loose and to keep Blue in check, and his left hand stretched out the navi's side. The silver gauntlet began radiating with a clay brown aura, which triggered a bunch of small pieces of stones and terrain parts to hover and collect into a gigantic sphere. It didn't take long before the sphere was bigger than Voulge, so the navi swung his arm around to his front, causing the sphere to do the same. He quickly closed his hands and released it, which was a command to send the stones straight at the hopefully bonded Blue. The rock flew in an incredibly fast speed, despite being made out of heavy stones, and exploded with dusts and debris everywhere just before it made contact. When things settled down, Marius was surprised to see that there wasn't a single damage made on Blue, but rather, the stones was literally surrounding the the navi from every angle possible.

"...Wh, what was that?" The operator questioned Voulge, but he didn't even face him back and began shouting towards his enemies. "Blue, you should understand your current situation right now, correct?" Voulge's left hand twitched, causing the stones to jitter and get closer to the navi. "You want to live, and I can grant you that wish. Leave everything valuable and draw off Red and the virus." Marius was extremely surprised from seeing Voulge utter such words, but today filled him with so much facts about Voulge, it wasn't as shocking as he thought it was. "I only need to close this hand of mine to finish you off. Be wise." The navi's tone of voice began to sound intimidating and gave the sharp, powerful glare right towards the navi.

TURN SPLICE

As Voulge finished his threat, Blue's calm exterior gave way to fear and panic. He was ready to give Voulge exactly what he wanted, but a sudden burst of red lightning struck the navi before he could comply. The attack had come from Red.

Blue immediately fell unconscious, unable to do anything about Voulge's ultimatum.

"Loser." Red spat and spun a chain around in his hand.

Just then, Blue's request seemed to have gotten through and the barrier guarding the area began to fall.

"..."

Voulge became completely silent as he dropped the whips down onto the ground and his left arm turned back to normal. He plucked the Lancea from the ground and tightly gripped onto it. "It's a shame." The navi's eye shifted towards Red and constantly looked onto him with an expression of hate and despise. "You won't think twice before striking your own comrade...You remind me of a certain someone." Voulge looked up into the sky, now with the Jack-Out barrier gone, the clouds and everything was now crystal clear. He closed his eyes and let in a big breath through his mouth. "Let's continue."

The Lancea began to emit the same colored lightning Red fired just seconds ago and the whole lance was covered by it. With his left hand on the butt of the spear, the navi propelled the spear into a swift thrust straight towards the dangerous Candevil. The entire area darkened as the red lightning surged through out the battle field and towards the virus. Voulge had high hopes that this attack would work, especially since Red couldn't have known about this chip and the virus could've been too blinded by his rage to really dodge the sudden attack.

Placing his weapon on his back, Voulge began running amok. His speed and maneuvers was especially strange and variable as the Splash Chip was very unstable. The navi hoped that luck was on his side as he kept on moving around to evade any attacks coming his way.

He ran towards Voulge and tried to strike him with a flaming punch, but the Splash chip kicked in, forcing the navi to flop away in the nick of time. At the end of his movements, Voulge found himself back on the patch of ice he had created earlier.

Meanwhile, the EarthDragon finally returned back to the battle, ignoring the downed Candevil and rolled towards Red and Voulge. It didn't look particularly loyal to its former master. As it scurried over the poison panels, it coughed a bit but never stopped moving.

With the lightning holding the Candevil in place, Voulge only needed to focus on two enemies, making things a lot easier than it was before. However, his current situation wasn't so perfect as he stood on the icy panels he created few moments ago and the agitated EarthDragon was fully committed to get Voulge. Marius quickly reacted to the moment as he whipped out two chips from the folder, "Voulge, your priority is the virus and then the navi. We're running low on ranged chips, so make these ones count." "Understood..." Voulge nodded as he prepared for the battle, but had a strange tone in his voice. As soon as the first chip slid into the PET slot, the chain whips that was left on the ground teleported right onto the navi's hand. Voulge rolled them into a convenient circle and prepared himself for the virus.

If the virus was to attack full frontal, as shown by his behavior to completely ignore his surroundings, it would make things easier for Voulge as he had the advantage of the ice under him. When the time came, the navi propelled him with a swift kick against the ground, gliding across the ice without a care. As soon as he got off the ice, he twisted his body so he would face his back and shoot the whip straight towards the Dragon. Unlike last time, the whip's speed and velocity was much more powerful and traveled in a complete straight line, as Voulge hoped to catch the virus in a surprise attack.

Dropping the whips again, Voulge reached for his back to grab the Lancea onto his right arm and dashed right toward the last hostile navi. Voulge didn't even think twice if he was going to get hit or not, it really wasn't case against this furious enemy. Red would throw everything he had and Voulge could only hope for the best to evade most of it. The Lancea was raised up and transformed into the tail-like steel spear in just seconds. The navi swung the strange spear around him, which also caused him to be slightly off balance due to the strange shape and nature of the weapon, and had his eyes tightly locked onto Red. Voulge's concentration was entirely towards his enemy as he completely ignored everything, including the wounds he might have received while he approached Red.

"BEGONE!"

The navi made sure that he would show no mercy to Red as he lowered the spear down onto the ground, splitting the earth as he ran. The body of the spear started to glow orange due to the heat transferred from Voulge's hand, showing that he couldn't keep in the rage that he had towards Red. He swung the tail-spear behind him, causing the stones and gravels to fly up in the air, and sent the blade right down on Red's skull with everything he got.

Voulge's Vine Whips shot straight at the EarthDragon with unprecendented force, punching right through its head and deleting it on the spot. He quickly changed his target back to Red who seemed even more angry, if such a thing was possible, that his pet had been deleted. He charged into Voulge with another flaming fist as Voulge took careful aim with his Iron Tail Lancea and struck back. They exchanged powerful blows, each reeling back from the other's impact. Voulge managed to stay on his feet but Red was knocked back, apparently saved by an Undersht NCP or something similar. Voulge wanted to finish the battle but found that the Vine Whip had actually never left his gauntlet and had him chained to the ground where the EarthDragon fell. The chip was starting to showing glitchy effects similar to the Embers he had grown so fond of.

Voulge stood his grounds, watching Red being knocked away from the blow of the Iron Tail. The punch he received left a large black mark on the navis torso, the damage slightly lessened by the brgiandine and the chain mails, but Voulge was on already on the edge. However, despite the wounds and bruises, Voulge was fueled by anger and attempted to walk right over to Red to deliver the final blow but felt a yank on his left arm. He turned to see the handle of the whip was glued onto his gauntlet, stopping him from taking a single step further from where he was.

"UURRRRAAAHHHH!!" Voulge's eyes started to glimmer in a dark shine as his entire body was covered by a bright blue fire, lighting the concrete panels under him with the same fire in just seconds. Marius gazed in awe into his PET, as the blue flame had a certain trait that just couldn't be explained in words. He tried to remember, but couldn't think of a time when Voulge ever used this type of fires before. In fear of something disastrous, the operator began to speak into the PET mic. "Voulge, get a hold of your self!" Marius tried to get his navi to calm down, but none of his words reached as the blue fire got even more intense. The whip that was once binded to Voulge was now nothing more but a boiling iron, sizzling on the ground.

The fire was now twice the size of Voulge and looked like it was going to grow even larger. While everything was burning, Voulge kept on howling into the sky, completely unaffected by the destructive fire. Lancea's blade flickered into different forms and shapes, like a restless candle, until the entire blade disappeared into thin air. The rubies encrusted on the neck of the spear cracked and shattered into dusts, causing the surrounding flames to be sucked right into the where the jewels once was. Since it is the rubies that powers the Lancea's transformation, the spear violently reacted to the blue flames as it shifted into multiple polearms in different sizes in just seconds.

Voulge, covered in smokes and soot after emitting such intense flame, grabbed spear's neck tightly with his left hand and solidified the blue flames into jewels, stabilizing the shapeshifting spear back to its shape. However, the blade was still missing and Voulge's rage was yet to be subsided. "You...You're not fit to have the comfort of the Hellfires. You deserve something far worse..." Voulge held the spear with both hands and positioned it in front of his chest. The blue jewels started to shine as the blue flames returned to replace the blade of the spear. "SUFFER FROM THE GRASP OF THE HOLY FIRE, SEAX!!" The flame grew twice, three times, possibly four times the size than it was and solidified into a blue crystal blade.

With a single hand, Voulge lifted the crystal spear above him and positioned himself as if he was about to throw the weapon like a javelin. The weight of the spear overwhelmed the navi as he was forced to support his right arm with his left, but didn't break his concentration away from Red. Voulge literally used all of his body to make the Lancea airborne and dropped down to the ground in exhaustion. The spear wasn't even thrown too far, but just before it was heading to the ground, the crystal suddenly blew out the blue flames and propelled it self like a rocket, heading right towards Red!! "...Rest in peace..."
