Mission: Experimental Chips!

((Before you read this...I have to say: NO, HE IS NOT))

Voulge's right knee fell to the sandy ground after one of the Skeeters manage to drain some of Voulge's data with its nasty needles. Though he would be able to easily shrug off regular damages, it has been a while since he received such sensation of his life force being taken away. Shaking his head, the navi got back onto his feet and focused towards the remaining viruses.

His previous attack wasn't as successful as he thought. The Supersonic didn't inflict upon all of his desired targets and the Ember barely even singed a hair on the virus. The Vinewhip was a success as it destroyed the two of the Skeeters, but three of them were still standing. "Those damn mosquitoes are a nuisance. Better take care of them first before we get to the big target. Understood?" Marius quickly prompted his navi a short command and it replied a with quick nod. "Also, take care of that wound of yours." As he said that, Marius already prepared three chips on his hands, as he was getting to know more about the experimental folder, and slotted them in one by one.

Voulge's first decision was to get him self out of the hostile situation and advance towards his enemy. Simply, Voulge pulled himself out of the thick sands and headed towards the three surviving Skeeters and away from the Ninetails. If Voulge was to gain another solid hit, he wouldn't be able to treat the damage due to the lack of recovery chips. Gaining a distance away from the most hostile enemy was the best choice as of right now.

When arriving near the Skeeters, the navi began his assault as he plunged the spear into the ground once more and transformed the chains into a rough, leathery vine. He already got a little warm up with the whips last time, so this time wouldn't be too much of a trouble. Voulge grabbed the chain vines with two hands and made a loud snap noise that could place fear into the bravest, strongest of the viruses. At that time, Marius couldn't help but to think he learned a few things about Voulge he never knew about. Such as how he was skilled in singing, as well as a whip... ... ...Then he thought, how wrong was it to think Voulge would be that type of a person.

The navi continued to cower the enemies by cracking the whip against the ground and finally snapped his wrist for a quick slash, sending the vine towards the virus in a dangerous speed. He twirled the whip around, creating a circle of bruised ground around him, and went in for another snap with the whip. If his attack was to go according to plan, one Skeeter, the one who attacked Voulge, will be the last one left.

Voulge placed his left hand over his wound and lifted the spear up to his chest height. Slowly, both hands brightened in a bright red aura and caused the Lancea to go in a slow transformation. It shape shifted into something smaller than a polearm and much more stubby. The blade tip became thinner and longer than any other weapon Voulge's seen. Finally, the butt of the weapon flattened out to reveal...A gigantic syringe?! Now Marius became a little skeptical.

Rushing in with the needle in front like a jousting lance, the navi was determined to take revenge. When Voulge was getting closer and closer to the Skeeter, he lifted the needle a little higher and firmly gripped onto it so his hands won't miscarry the slippery plastic. The navi took the chance and pushed the needle straight forward, not double checking if it was a hit or a miss. His hands tightened around the very end of the syringe and pulled it to drain back what is rightfully his own.

Even before Voulge could take the time to check the status of the Skeeter Group, the navi immediately twisted his body towards the NineTails and ran towards them. Checking the list of chips sent, the final chips was the 'Spark' chip, which Voulge used last time along with his Morning-Star. Knowing fully what this chips is capable of, Voulge confidently approached his enemies.

Having his hands wrapped around the Lancea, as always, the navi proceeded to transform it into an exotic mace. Like any other spears, the base was long, but made fully out of gold and small silver details. The head of the weapon was a gigantic sphere with a small blade attached at the top, but didn't look like it could do any sort of damage and most likely used for ornament only. At the first glance, the weapon didn't look too special, except that it was made entirely out of gold. But when Voulge neared the Ninetails virus, the sphere started to make a revving noise, getting louder and faster as the seconds past. Just as when the navi rose the weapon over head, the sphere bursted open to let out a miniature, but destructive lightning storm with a small core as the source of it. In the mid-swing, the lightning suddenly gathered up in a single point, the spear tip at the very top of the weapon, creating what it looked to be an electric glaive! When the spear finally came down, the lightning gave out its final output and the gold of the weapon drained along with the lightning.

Seeing that his own experimental weapon worked, Voulge was slightly contempt with it and quickly backed away to avoid any further damage.

The sane Ninetails slapped its colleague in the face with one of its own tails, forcing it to snap out of the induced confusion. Voulge moved away and continued his assault the rest of the Skeeter viruses with another Vine Whip. Two more of the buzzing swarms fell apart at the crack of his whips leaving only one group remaining. Voulge stabbed out at them and stole back the energy they had taken from him allowing him to recover. Finally, he charged the Ninetails with his lightning flail again. The Ninetails dodged but out of sheer luck, the weapon found its mark atop one of its tails. The virus yelped in pain and retaliated with a few snapping lashes of its other tails. Voulge leapt away again before the others could land on him but sustained some minor cuts as he escaped.

As soon as his feet landed on the ground after receiving the small cuts, Voulge tightened his grip on the metal flail and ran straight towards the same Ninetails he hit before. Marius loaded in another Spark chip into the PET, recharging the weapon back to its golden form once more. As the navi charged in head front, the flail began to discharge its lightning much earlier than it was before, as if the weapon it self was anxious to finish the virus off. Voulge could see and feel the sensation of restlessness of the Lancea through his fingers, and smiled as he ran faster and faster towards the virus.

Once again, the sphere cracked open to unleash a malevolent storm, but it didn't take a while before the electricity it self became thick spikes that covered the sphere. With one gigantic swing over his head, Voulge brought the golden flail straight against the Fox and released the rest of the stored lightnings all at once on contact!

The navi took a step back and away from the barely harmed Ninetails. After it snapped back from the confusion, it proved to be much more lethal than its comrade as it managed to get few hits on him. Voulge would need to finish this virus quickly and Marius knew just the chip for it. Shuffling through the folders, the operator slipped out a single chip that had the image of a flying virus firing a stream of power beam out from its mouth.

Voulge was already preparing for the attack, even before the chip was put into the PET, as he transformed the Lancea into his signature, metallic GunLance. The chamber popped open when Marius placed the chip in, and filled everything up with a black bullet. With out a second to lose, the navi loaded the weapon with a single click of the hammer and looked through the iron sight. Carefully adjusting the position, Voulge also needed to think about how the virus would react to the attack and also put that into the account.

As soon as he saw the chance, the navi pulled the trigger to let out a burst of blue energy shooting straight toward the virus! It burned and charred everything in its path with ease and everything happened in an instant! The weapon reverted back to its original form, but Voulge suddenly fell to his knees and found himself short of breath. The chip was powerful, but it also drained some of his powers as well when he shot it.

Voulge charged the same virus with the same attack and expected to hit, vastly underestimating the abilities of the Ninetails. With a clever smirk and a feint, the virus dodged the mace at the last second and gave Voulge a single disgraceful slap across the face with one of its many tails. While poised to deal much more damage from its position, it was clearly not taking Voulge seriously either.

Voulge couldn't be bothered to chase down his target and aimed for the other remaining virus with his Gunlance. The other Ninetails was wary of the incoming attack and prepared to dodge but what came wasn't a single beam, but a wall. The Ninetails whimpered at the sight of the wave and didn't even bother dodging, acknowledging its fate in the face of the searing blast of destruction. The beam deleted it instantly and carved a ditch through the floor and punched a hole in the forest wall that seemed to go on for quite a distance. The drain of energy then hit Voulge altogether as he finished the attack and fell to his knees.

Of course the viruses had not all been eliminated. While Voulge was low on breath and practically helpless, the other Ninetails attacked, full of rage for its fallen brethren. Voulge couldn't move as the virus wailed on him with the full force of its tails in a wide sweep. One of the tails slipped but the overall attack was devastating.

Even after getting hit several times by the NineTails' attacks, Voulge couldn't do anything but sit still and take the hit. He was too exhausted from the previous attack to even lift his finger, but he had a solid lock on the virus with his eyes.

When he regained enough stamina, he grabbed his spear off the ground and transformed it into a GunLance once more. Loading it with the Octozooka chip, the navi again looked through his iron sight and calmly waited for the perfect chance. Voulge had his eye right on the virus and pulled the trigger to release a glob of ink lobbing straight to the virus!

The navi reverted the spear back to the original form and began to gain some distance away from the virus, in case he survived this attack as well.

Taking hands the spoils of the battle, Voulge slowly walked up to the corpse and landed straight down to the ground. He looked at the remains of what was a navi and close his eyes for a brief moment, giving it another moment of silence it deserves. "May you truely rest in peace..." With a small tap to the ground with his Lancea, the ground around the corpse immediatley opened up, taking the body into it, and closed up into a small mound.

Voulge got up and began walking further into the net, wondering how much longer he would need to continue the experimental test.

BATTLE FOUR, READY
======
Exiting the remainder of the forest, Voulge entered a fairly vast and open grassy plain. It was a dull yellow and looked very dry. There were also a few trees here and there but other than that, there was nothing remarkable. Voulge continued along his path and soon saw a single virus on the horizon. He quickened his pace to catch up with it. As he closed in he could see that it looked like a heap of blue hair with a strange little wheel for a hat. It took notice of Voulge and turned to face him but before either side could attack, several Weather viruses dropped in between the two to join the fight. Two trees stood slightly off to the side as silent observers to the battle that was about to take place.

[Battle 4 - Begin!]
((ARGH, I HATED THAT VIRUS IN THE GAME!!...Also had to rush in the end >_<))

Seeing that the terrain was perfect for Voulge, the navi needed to take this chance and immediately attack before the Weathers alter the terrain. Like any other time during his experiment run, Voulge's palm lit on fire and the navi prepared for his attack. Rather than throwing the flames towards the enemy, he attempted to try something bit more creative this time.

Taking the flame, he pushed it into the soils of the ground and a thin, thread like trail of fire snaked through the grasses. Voulge placed all his focus into controlling the flame so that it wouldn't even touch the grasses and prematurely set everything on fire. When the snaking fire neared the first batch of the Weather Virus, the trails split into three, thinner paths and sneaked under the semi-floating virus. Even after reaching under the virus, the fire didn't react or anything and simply coiled into a small circle...but that was when the real attack began.

Voulge lifted his hands off the ground, leaving an imprint of his palm on the grassy soil, and plunged the spear head of his weapon straight down the middle. The fires intensity suddenly increased two folds as the once weak trails bursted into a stream of blue flames. The petit fire snake suddenly became a hellish dragon, swallowing the grass underneath and became bigger and bigger as it flew towards the Weathers! When the fire reached near the virus, the coil underneath the virus was waiting to explode and swallow the virus in a single gulp and leave nothing behind!

After taking the Lancea off the ground, Voulge prepared for the worst as he heightened his senses and reflexes, preparing for the viruses' attacks. One he especially sought out for was the SnowBlow and its infamously powerful vacuum. Even if he was caught off guard and found himself drawn towards the virus, he would be prepared for the worst and try to dodge as much as possible. When Voulge saw that the virus has calmed down or left an opening, he quickly ran towards the SnowBlow and took out a small, seed-shaped bomb from his brigandine. His fingers was tightly wrapped around the hard-shelled bomb and kept it that way as he intended to not let it go.

When it was only couple of feet away, Voulge didn't stop running towards the Snowblow and held the seed tightly on his right hand. Clumping it into a tight fist, the seed literally shrunk into a size of a regular seed, making it easier for Voulge to handle. Even inches away, Voulge didn't slowed down at all and cocked the fist as far as he could. Finally, like a loaded gun, the fist flew straight into the blue fur and let out a small gust of wind from the sheer force of the swing. Voulge needed to replenish his stamina, and the best way to do so was to use this chip. Though it was dangerous to attack head in, he couldn't have wasted this precious chip! Also, Marius had something in plan for this case...

"VOULGE! Use HyperBeam!"

"...Negative..."

"WHAT!...OH WHAT THE HELL...FINE. USE SPLASH ATTACK!

Almost like a fish out of a barrel, Voulge's body suddenly moved on its own as it spazzed back and forth, being completely unpredictable in every way possible! Will Fate take mercy on this poor, twitching soul?!

Voulge's fire snake attack worked well against two of the Weathers but one managed to pull up in time to avoid the attack. However, the flames that built on his hands didn't seem to extinguish themselves fully even after the attack finished and burned him lightly. Voulge was starting to see the tempermental side to these chips as he tried to shake off the remaining flames before they consumed his gloves. Voulge then charged the Snowblow, rushing past the other two Weathers. One pulled up as well but the other let out a quick blast of ice that Voulge narrowly avoided. Mostly aided by the Snowblow's inhalation, he was soon toe-to-mound with the virus and chucked the Leech Seed at it. The seed bopped the virus on the head and sprouted into a mass of vines and leaves. The green tendrils crept into the viruses mouth but the Snowblow continued to inhale until it had enough. It began to spit out a bunch of small twisters that were evaded with the help of his Splash attack. Flopping around randomly, it was all but impossible to get a clear lock on the navi and he remained unharmed from the gusts.

Meanwhile the Leech Seed plant did its job, sapping some energy from the virus and delivered it to Voulge via a stream of translucent data.

As soon as the uncontrollable twitching stopped, Voulge got up from the ground as if nothing happened. Anyone would be embarrassed to death after experiencing what Voulge had to go through, but the navi silently stood still with his spear on his hand, trying to direct his fullest attention towards the viruses. However...the uncontrollable laughter of Marius in the background made is much more difficult for Voulge. "Heh...Pff...AHAHAHAH! OH! That was just priceless!" After listening to how "bad" it was, the serious navi turned towards an illuminated screen of Marius and gave a sharp glare, possibly being too embarrassed to utter a word.

Turning his focus on his enemies once more, the navi was about to attack full frontal on the one Weather still near the vicinity, but something stopped him again! "Ahah...ha...Whew, alright, I'm done. Voulge you need to...PWAHAHA." Voulge let out a small sigh and shook his head, "Marius. Please concentrate and send me the chips." The operator pulled out three chips from the folder and, with a teary eye, pushed the chips into the PET one by one. "I still can't believe what I just saw!"

Within the retina of the navi's eye, streams of unknown codes and data languages rained down, listing all the chips Marius sent and its capability in the fullest detail. After the navi blinked once, the stream disappeared and Voulge could finally prepare for his attack. His hands immediately went towards his brigandine to pull out a cloth bag with a golden rope tied in the end. With one pull of the string, everything unraveled to reveal a sparkling mound of white powdery salt. The salt was so fine, the moment it was out in the open, a small amount of it already fluttered away along with the gentle gust that could barely move the grasses. Voulge set his spear onto the ground, took a small pinch of salt onto his right palm, and folded his hands into a prayer. "May your blessings protect the righteous..." The navi quickly threw the salt straight into the air, causing a small curtain of white cover over himself. Though, it may just be any other salts, Voulge certainly felt some type of protection over him and made him more confident than before.

Loading the next chip onto his hands, his hands glowed with a strange, red-violet color when the navi's natural red aura mixed with the chips purple nature. He grabbed the Lancea, which was planted on to the ground, and transformed it right on sight. In a blink of an eye, the spear changed into a towering mortar with the ever same bayonet attached at the end of the barrel. His aim was to hit one of the hiding Weathers with the Sludge Bomb, as the attacks of this type has a better chance to hit an air-borne enemy than a ground based one. Despite the virus being in an unthinkable altitude, the navi wanted to measure the vulnerability of the virus for himself.

With a simple kick to the base of the Mortar, the weapon started to shake violently back and forth as it warmed up for the attack! The barrel started to emit a stack of smoke that, thankfully, only headed upwards into the sky. As the mortar was getting louder and more unstable, small drips of purple goo dropped down from a small opening which sizzled the grass and the grounds with its corroding powers. Realizing that it's about ready, the navi's hand glowed with the same aura as before and gave it a quick jab. Strangely enough, the artillery suddenly stopped its movements and let out a humming stream of steams that clouded everything around, including Voulge. As soon as the steam was cut off, another sound took over, the sound of boiling, bubbling liquids. In a blink of an eye, the mortar spat out a ball of purple straight into the air! It dripped small parts to the ground as it flew towards the weather, spreading the poison all over the place. The poison bomb traveled all the way up in the air where even Voulge couldn't detect where it went to, until a gigantic explosion of purple made it more visible and showered the area with lethal poison!

Voulge grabbed hold on to a handle on the mortar, which transformed it back to its original spear shape and began running. As of right now, he needed to keep many things in mind: The poison that was raining down on him, the remaining Weathers, and the suction from the SnowBlows. All of these was on Voulge's mind as he ran, trying to avoid all three of them. Though it would be difficult to do so, he also tried to approach the one Weather that didn't retract into the air with an intent to attack! The spear on Voulge's hand took form into something else, but this time, some more home, an actual pole arm.

The body of the spear was just the same, but the blade was thick and possibly longer than the body it self. It consisted of layers of thin metal plates that was bounded by a single chain in the core, creating a tail-like movement as Voulge ran. Making sure that the virus won't run away, Voulge increased his speed and the grip over the weapon, causing the cheerful, whipping tail straight and tightly bonded. Knowing that there isn't a second chance, the navi swung the beastly spear in a single, destructive swing. In the last second, the plates loosened and the swing became much wider and longer ranged, making the Weather escape the attack less likely. Voulge back stepped away from the virus and looked out for any potential dangers once more. Next time, the remaining weathers will be appearing and make things much more difficult than it was this time.

After setting up a sparkling barrier around himself, Marius decided to test the Sludge Bomb. Voulge's mortar lobbed the purple blob high into the air, but not nearly high enough. Considering that he couldn't even see his target simply made it worse. However, the attack was not a total loss and landed back down atop the small tree, disintegrating it within a matter of seconds and leaving behind a large puddle of toxins. His chain-whip sword Iron Tail was much more successful and cut through one of the Weathers easily. The other two dropped back down and sprayed more ice at Voulge but he dodged rather than test his luck with the Light Screen. The Snowblow tried to attack again with another few twisters but failed while more of its health was sapped away by the Leech Seed.

As soon as Voulge took in the drained life force of the Snowblow for himself, he immediately continued his assault on the remaining viruses. The Leech Seed he planted on the virus was working well as his wound from the previous encounter was nearly restored, making Voulge's priority to destroy the rest of the Weather viruses first. The navi turned towards Marius once more and another glance at his operator, but this time, to notify him something.

"Voulge! Sending you the chips!" Marius scurried through the folder to prepare a chip or two for Voulge, until he realized something. The operator forgot that he was in a trial run that required him to test the experimental chips. If so, he would need to use all the chips provided at least once to complete the test completely. Nodding his head to himself, Marius drew four chips in a single clasp and loaded them in one by one into the PET. Voulge downloaded the chips in less than a second, and took another second to devise a strategy with the chips.

The Avaria-Lancea transformed with a swift fiery explosion, revealing a charred black jousting lance. Rather than the usual lance Voulge would use along with the Grandis Attero, this one was much smaller and more streamlined, making it much weaker, but easier to handle. The navi placed the long handle underneath his right armpit for a steady handle and began running towards the first Weather virus on sight. Maybe it was the jousting lance, maybe not, but Voulges speed was much faster than before as the tip of the lance was heading straight towards the paper thin body of the Weather virus. With its precise handling, Voulge could easily adjust to the repositioning of the evading virus and the attack would have a much higher accuracy than any other chips. Nearing the target, Voulge lowered his body and raised his lance up, like he was attempting to skewer the virus alive with the Lance.

Having confidence that the attack was a success; the navi drew the morning star and twirled it around until it started to discharge electricity from the core. The attack from before would've made Voulge lot more close than he was with the virus, even if it was to hit or miss. At this range, it would be difficult for Voulge to miss with his weapon, especially against a enemy who was hanging down from a piece of string. The mace was in constant spin until the lightning generated from it was going haywire, slightly burning the ground as it hit against the ground. Any longer would be potential harm to the navi himself, evident during the time he used the Ember chip before, and without a second to lose, swung the chained mace straight towards the Weather. As soon as the mace head would come in contact, Voulge decided to drop the weapon as quickly as he could before the released electricity deals some heavy damage.

Voulge turned his body to the next Weather virus and took the jousting lance onto his hands once more. It wasn't long before he familiarized himself with the varied weapon and confidently sprinted towards the target with all his might. Like last time, he increased his speed in the last moment and stuck the weapon straight forward, but this time; he made a slight alteration in the strategy.

When the tip was only inches, possibly lesser, away from contact, Voulge pulled all his strength into his right arm and thrusted the tip for a single, powerful burst. His let loosened his grip over the Lancea when the thrust was made and folded both his hands into a tight fist. The gauntlets started to resonate a small pitch as it vibrated in an incredible pace. He first threw his right arm at the Weather, but as it was traveling, the gauntlet was literally screaming out a wave of deafening noises.

((Had to rush this D:))

The virus group was now down to one and Voulge could already see the end to the battle. Thanks to the Leech Seed he planted at the start, his wounds was nearly healed and weakened the virus into a pathetic state.

"Let's finish this. I'm going to send you a very unstable chip, which I see right now is the best time to use it. Make sure it hits!" Taking out a single chip out of all the chips he could choose, Marius prepared a chip with a primate-ish virus flailing his fist all over the place. As soon as the chip was placed and set into Voulge, the navi quickly approached the SnowBlow. Making sure that he would be near enough to unleash his attack, as well as trying not to get hit in the last second, Voulge was extremely careful in his movements.

Like always, the navi was within range to attack, but he didn't want to make any mistakes like what he did last time with the NineTails virus. He carefully examined the virus as close as he could, circling around to get the big picture, and dove straight in when the chance came. His trusty Lancea was on his arm and the blades shifted back and forth like a restless flame, reacting to the raw power of the chip. Voulge held the spear with both his hands and began wailing it like a madman, trying to overwhelm his enemy with pure strength. This was a ugly sight, as Voulge would usually be composed and calm rather than being this berserk.

In the end, the navi was short of breath, and little light headed from the attack. However, he still kept in mind the "What if" and tried to back away from the virus if it was to survive the attack.

Voulge took his sweet time dancing around the Snowblow, who wasn't nearly as concerned with accuracy as he was. It inhaled sharply and spat out a few more twisters, one of which hit Voulge despite his fancy movements. However, it suffered the full force of Voulge's Thrash attack right after and was deleted in the process. With his ridiculous movements, he also managed to hack apart the other tree. Even Ignis had to back away or risk being caught in the attack.

When his head cleared, all that was left were some zenny, some bugfrags and some more battlechip data.

Voulge leaned his head against his right palm, trying to regain his focus and to calm his mind. Though the damage he received was not at all severe, the chip he unleashed before certainly got the best of him. He shook his head, withdrew the loot of the battle, and slowly walked towards the horizon. "Any words from SciLab? These chips are far more dangerous than I would've guessed.". Scrolling through the PET, Marius checked the E-mail to see no new message in the inbox. "Nope. Looks like we'll be doing this a bit longer. Let's hope nothing big comes across our way..."

BOSS BATTLE, READY
======
Voulge entered a new area that was devoid of the open Netfrican scenery he had seen so far. The floor was a plain white and there wasn't much in the way of decorations, with the exception of some walls here and there. He didn't think much of it until he walked through one of the wide paths available to him. As he did, an energy barrier spawned behind him and prevented his retreat. The bubble extended well over his head and domed around in front of him, stretching all over the sky. Before it completely finished sealing off the sector, two navis jacked in through the closing gap. They were dressed in matching hooded uniforms while one of them held an Earthdragon back with a glowing chain. It snarled against its restraints furiously but to no avail.

"Hello Vouge," said one of them in calm tone, "We of the have been watching you."

"You've been bustin a lotta heads here in the Netfrica Network," added the other, "But we need you to stop now. See, we know you've gotten your hands on some special chips, and we want em."

The quieter navi continued, "We would prefer it if you simply transferred your folder data to us peacefully, but based on our observations of your actions, that is the least likely scenario. However, we warn you that it would be unwise for you to attack us as we have scanned your attack patterns, your folder and your movements. If we were to engage in combat-"

"We'd kick your ass." The other navi interrupted as he tugged on the chain. The EarthDragon gave another intimidating growl in response.

"We hope that you understand the situation and comply accordingly, regardless of how distasteful that may sound." The first one finished.

[Battle 5 - Begin!]
"Three on one..." Marius said in a surprisingly dull tone. "If we just had our own folder, this wouldn't be as troublesome as it is." Voulge also had the similar tone, obviously telling that none of the threats made by the two mysterious navi was getting to them. It was a foolish move for the navis to say they knew how Voulge and the chips worked, it would be like in a game of Poker, a player would openly state that they have the better hand than the other. To any average fighters, such statement would shake them to the core, but for a veteran like Voulge, opened a whole page of strategy and advantages for him to use.

"We would just give it to you if it'll make you guys go away," said Marius as he tried to negotiate with the navis, "But those SciLabs guys have us on a leash right now, so giving the chips to you so easily will make us look bad." He opened his folder and prepared three chips on hand, while letting out a big, menacing grin on his face. "However, you guys look like you have something useful; seeing how confident you guys are." Marius loaded the first chip into the PET and crossed his arms, looking down at the supposed "dangerous" enemies. "Let's take a wager. I win, I take. You win, you take." Voulge was getting increasingly uncomfortable from Marius' behavior, but he didn't want to give up so easily and simply played along with his operator's. "Let's begin...My move!"

The navi already uploaded the chip on to his hands and lit his entire left hand aflame. Rather than sending the ember in the usual, drifting fashion, Voulge would need to change it once more in order to catch the enemies off guard. Just before the navi was about to attack, Marius slotted in another chip into the PET, which made the navi stop momentarily and rethink his strategy. "...Was there a reason for sending this chip late? I could have foiled the plan." The operator turned the grin into a friendly smile and chuckled, "I just wanted to mess with you and the other guys." Voulge sighed and continued to rearrange his strategic movements.

Drawing the lit hand as far as he could, he stabbed the Lancea to the ground and concealed his left hand with his right. The flames grew bigger as Voulge's own fiery nature flowed through the chip and the fire pulsated through the cracks of the hand, trying to get a breath of air to grow even bigger. Voulge's right hand grasped into a fist, swallowing the flames and causing a short stream to spew out from the bottom, and swung his hands in air like he would do with a sword. Though it was only a short second, the moment Voulge's hand reached the other end, hundreds, if not thousands of tiny fire javelins appeared in front and immediately flew straight towards the three enemies. Each of the fire javelins let out a single, flashing explosion on the ends, propelling them in an incredible speed as well as creating a wall of light in between Voulge. The Javelins didn't have a direct target, since the main reason for using this chip wasn't to deal damage, but to have them occupied for a short moment.

Voulge stepped away from his current position, trying to avoid any counter attacks done by the enemy, and followed up the Ember with his next attack. The Lancea transformed on spot as it was concealed in a tower of flames and revealed a gray-silver gunlance with the bayonet holding it inverted on the ground. With a tug of the chain, the weapon flew right onto Voulge's hand and a pure black bullet appeared on the other. The barrel of the weapon was facing straight towards the hopefully occupied EarthDragon and loaded the ammo in one swift movement, making a small slush noise as the ink in the bullets moved so suddenly. Voulge lifted the weapon with his right arm and stuck his left arm out for balance, keeping a steady grip and locking his eyes straight on the large target, the triggered was pulled to fire a jet of black ink! This attack would not only inflict heavy damage on the virus, but the chance of blinding would keep it out of the navi's way for just a while.

Marius finally took out the last chip and placed that in as well. Even without a word of explanation, Voulge understood Marius' intention and strategy and quickly followed it up. "You there." Voulge stated at the aggresive navi with the bayonet of the Gunlance pointing at him. "You don't have what it takes to defeat me." The Lancea was again covered in a tower of flame and reverted back to its original shape, but Voulge still held the spear tip right at the Cultnavi "Don't flatter your self because you think you have the advantages. You never had the chance the moment you came across this spear of mine!" The navi slammed the spear's silver end straight down to the ground, emitting an incredibly loud noise that echoed throughout the blank net. "WILL YOU BE A MAN OF YOUR WORD AND TRULY DEFEAT ME?! PROVE ME WRONG!" His words was even louder and so powerful that it could hush an entire stadium of people. Of course, this entire act was to force the enemy into attacking Voulge with all that he had. This would have less of a chance against the calm, composed navi, but this hot-headed one would definitely take the bait.

Voulge waited and waited until the navi would attack him, and on the last second, he would dodge the attack and assimilate the attack into his own and fire it back! Out of all the chips in the folder, the Mirror Move proved to be useful, especially in a situation such as this. Despite what type of moves or attacks the navi would do, Voulge would make sure that he would hit it twice as hard.

Voulge's Ember attack felt right as it manifested itself into a trio of flaming javelins, but something suddenly went horribly wrong as the temperature of the attack dropped dramatically. Soon, the javelins of fire turned to ice spears instead. The freezing effect crept backwards towards Voulge and up his arm and around his feet to the panels around him. It was lucky he moved back otherwise he would have been completely frozen in place. The Ember chip was starting to become more and more problematic.

"Unexpected," The first navi said and threw up a barrier that blocked the attack completely, "...But within tolerable limits."

The other navi simply shifted his stance to avoid the attack by a hair and pulled the chain on his EarthDragon to force it to avoid the attack as well. It was almost as if he knew the attack was coming. However, the haze of frost leftover from the attack obscured his view just enough for Voulge to launch a surprise attack with his Octazooka. The navi wasn't fast enough to pull his EarthDragon away and it was blasted in the face with a ball of ink that instantly blinded it. However it was still under control of the navi.

"Red, be careful." The first navi admonished, "We have accounted for only 53% of his chip folder, though I estimate-"

"SHUT UP, BLUE." Red snapped mockingly, "Why didn't you just stay home and let me do this ALONE?"

Blue didn't answer the question as Voulge interrupted with his infuriating challenge.

Red seemed to succumb to the insulting taunt and leapt on his EarthDragon, firmly holding onto the chain while shouting, "YEAH? LET'S SEE HOW BIG YOU TALK WITHOUT A FACE!"

The Earthdragon slithered forward with open jaws and charged at Voulge despite being blinded. Red was steering it expertly with his chain and spurred it onwards with harsh tugs. The EarthDragon picked up its pace and made a final rush but Voulge was able to evade at the last second. The EarthDragon made a sharp turn and veered again at Red's command but Voulge had already executed his Mirror Move. From the panel in front of him, another EarthDragon spawned diagonally and crashed into Red. It knocked him off the virus and the blinded EarthDragon simply continued straight past Voulge and didn't stop.

Blue sighed and said, "You are still too inexperienced."

Red only groaned and glared angrily at Voulge as he got to his feet.

"Voulge, I pose to you an alternate solution." Blue said, "If you would give us the chip folder data, we will supply you with the support program base data that you so desire."
