SINNBAD raised his Sword in anger and prepared to attack the civilians to pay for his own failure. Fortunately, Trent's quick wits and dwindling invisibility were there to save the day as he managed to dive in and disarm the Sword from his partner (20), temporarily claiming it as his own.
The civilians, now more filled with fear than rage, fled at the sight of the SINNBAD's crazed brutality. His Moonblade was a total miss, which was another stroke of fortune as Trent was standing a hair's width away from where SINNBAD had swept. With no one else to fight, the area was quickly deserted and the battle came to a disappointing end.

SINN dropped to his knees and exhaled. The steam stopped fuming and the current lot drifted away, leaving him bare. His white halo had faded as well, leaving only his golden scales. They too began to slough off his armor, turning gray and brittle. His eyes lost the flare from moments before, turning a cloudy gray once more. He put his hands to his head to shake off his daze.
"Uugh. I... F-Forgive me Sir Trent."
He stuttered as he rose. His breathing was ragged but he was attempting to control it with shallow breaths.
"My... My rage got the best of me. It will not happen again."

Trent gave no response other than a cold hard gaze back into the eyes of the shame knight. Trent cast his blade aside, tossing it towards his feet, and shook his hand to deactivate the rage claw, sending bits of sharp claws cascading from his hands like snowfall. Trent looked back to the knight and said, "Just don't let it happen again."
Trent took a heavy measured step towards the knight, intending to walk right by him. "We have our proof. We know that the events are transpiring. We should go to the zippyboard shop and see if the shopkeeper would allow us a board." Trent fully intended to carry out the entire mission, and put a stop to these thieves. His outwards excitement was much less than SINN's obvious zeal, but none the less he was excited.
Heavy combat boots collided hard with the netways as Trent moved to the shop.

Trent entered the store to find a somewhat unimpressed hippy navi. He had his arms crossed and spat, "I'll tell you what I told your buddy. 800 zenny and three battlechips as collateral to rent a board. You can get your chips back when you return it."
Apparently the shopkeeper had a very clear view of what had transpired just outside his window. His expression was dour leaving Trent wondering if the shopkeeper had seen the Flameline being used against the stolen boards.

SINN stood up and turned after Trent. And then stopped.
He looked down the road where the thieves had sped off. He would wait for Trent, and then march down that road. Perhaps he would encounter the thieves... later on.

Trent thought hard about the offer that the shop keeper gave. He knew, however, that he couldn't do without his chips when it came to investigating stolen things. The thieves are going to try to keep the items protected, having less weapons and needing to watch after the care of another object would be hampering to the mission. He shifted his weight from one leg to the other and crossed his arms.
"I want to apologize for the actions of my partners. When quick thinking has to be applied to a situation, often mistakes are made." Trent took a step back from the zippyboard shop manager. "Sadly, I cannot take that offer. We will work on getting those boards back for you." Trent turned on his heel and left.
He saw SINN waiting for him, gazing down the road after the thieves. Trent approached him, his boots silently hitting the floor. "He isn't going to help us. If we want to get these boards back without him, we'd better get moving and fin these guys." Trent said.

SINNBAD suspected as much.
"Let us be off then."
He stated before heading off down the road... on foot.

SINNBAD and Trent walked out of the store with all of their zenny and chips but no Zippyboards. Some activity had returned to the streets upon their return, mostly newcomers who seemed surprised at the lack of navis roaming the street.
The duo decided to go after the thieves on foot despite the huge difference in speed. Perhaps they hoped to find something else along the road that would aid in their investigation. Sadly, after walking for a great deal of time, they both had to admit that the only thing on the trail was dust and they had missed their only opportunity to catch up with their suspects. The GNA would likely not accept their word of mouth testimonies regarding the robbery and since they had no solid evidence, there was no other conclusion to come to except that this mission had ended... In failure.
