"Can't do anything more, huh?" Djinni said with a smile as she looked at Mothrofly, "You creeps are pretty weak, I mean... You weren't even capable of taking one of us out. Or even a decent amount of damage." Following this, Djinni started to laugh which was interrupted by a crash coming from behind her and a trail of destruction. Turning around, she had noticed it was Broadside who had crashed into the ground with some kind of protection Djinni couldn't identify. "Good thinking, Bro-!" she shouted, not knowing if she coud hear him, but stopped as she saw the monstrosity fall into the direction of Broadside. Incapable of seeing either Broadside or the monster from this distance, Djinni cried out to her friend, "Broadside! Broadside! Can you hear me!? Answer me!" No answer came, but probably because the distance between the two was too big. Djinni didn't realize this though. She tilted her head to the ground, clumsily avoiding any movement from the position where Broadside had landed. Tears rolled over Djinni's cheeks as she thought of her fallen friend, holding a fist close to her chest. "Broadside..." she muttered and closed her eyes, although this did not stop the tears, "These memories with you... I shall cherish them..." Within her mind she could see the many memories she had made with Broadside.
Only to realize they had barely any memories to share. Twiddling with her thumbs, she quickly fabricated some memories in her mind about the two so she could continue crying. Thinking about the time the two ran across the grass panels, hand in hand, and making a vow to remain together forever while standing beneath a large beautiful sakura tree, a small smile formed on Djinni's face. But a large claw slashed Broadside, making the image disappear within her mind as three large shadows appeared. "It's all their fault," she whispered and opened her eyes slowly. Flames and sand started to spiral around Djinni like a whirlwind as she lifted her head and immediately turned to Mothrofly, once again accidentally avoiding any sign of life from Broadside's spot. "Na'im, please..." she whispered while she stared at Mothrofly, flames spouting from her eyes in a fit of anger, "Assist me for my revenge."
In real life, Na'im had opened a bag of potato chips and had started eating them while waiting for his Navi to snap out of her own world. "You finished?" he muttered as he nibbled on a potato chip, "I'll send you these. They ought to ensure a victory to seize." Looking at the screen, he glanced sideways from Djinni and started muttering to himself in his mind. Broadside can't be deleted. He had plenty of health data left to remain intact, Na'im thought, I wonder if there's any program to keep track of your allies' health data... That'd be nice.
While holding her right hand out to the front Djinni collected the sand that was swirling around her within the palm of her hand. Realigning her hand slightly, she held her two hands close to each other and slammed them together, causing the sand to disperse and appear around Mothrofly's location as a tornado of sand. The sandring's data slowly shrunk the tornado, wanting to hold Mothrofly firmly in its position. Djinni swung her hands to the sides from their last stance and, while doing this, flung two of the rubies embedded into her bracelets onto the ground. The area around the rubies trembled slightly as the rubies started to rise on a golden pillar. The final form of the wand was approximately as big as Djinni and shone its crimson light on the sky, commanding the meteors to crash down upon her mortal foes. "No more mercy," Djinni said as she held her fist out at Mothrofly, "You'll pay for what you freaks did to my friend." Flames kept spiralling around Djinni through all this but increased their speed as Djinni approached the end of her speech. "Even if it means destroying the city," she ended with and awaited the storm of meteors she had commanded to come with arms raised to the sky.

As Broadside recovers far away from the combat zone, Voulge prepares to attack the incoming Xamera. His claw manages to hook into one of the holes, but the Xamera was spinning so fast that it pulled the comparably light Navi from the ground and hurled him into the air. Luckily for him his impromptu flight prevented him from getting pounded into the ground like a nail. The claw shatters under the stress as he flips into the air. Voulge is determined to take the enemy down, and quickly rights himself and throws his lance into the Xamera's shell. The lance is almost ripped from his hands, but the chain connecting the Navi to his weapon stood strong and he easily removes the lance from its hide. He lands and pelts the turtle with a flaming projectile and retreats to his shield. Xamera screams in pain and halts its rotation. It retaliates by firing a beam from its mouth, but the attack is just reflected back.
Voulge then summons a rolling ironshield that knocks the turtle back. It falls backwards onto it's shell, but is quickly righted by a second strike. Its shell is nearly completely shattered by this time, chunks falling away as it recovers from the one-two punch. It charges Voulge, ramming him with a good amount of force. The impact knocks Voulge back, but Xamera's charge is completely halted. The impact injured the monster as well, since its protective shell is starting to fail.
Djinni makes an excellent performance out of Broadside's apparent "death," and proceeds to ensnare Mothrofly in a tornado made of sand and dust. She then summons two "wands" that begin to shine brightly. The sky begins to glow as several burning meteors fall to the city below. The city is blanketed in meteors, striking multiple skyscrapers and other buildings, but 3 of them manage to strike near the ensnared Mothrofly. One also clips the injured Xamera, driving it into the ground.

Arms still raised and head titled towards the sky, she muttered to herself as she saw the 8 meteors fall towards the city, "And here it starts..." Lowering her arms and positioning her head in the right place again, she ripped another ruby out of one of her bracelets and flung it onto the ground. Another pillar of gold, with the ruby at the top, had appeared at its place and shone the same light of the other pillars towards the sky. Djinni spun around once quickly after this, ending with her right side towards Mothrofly and her right arm stretched out while the left arm remained close to her chest. Flames flickered slightly within her eyes, locking on on Mothrofly's body heat, so her next strike would be true.
Na'im had gone onto a website on the PET, while Djinni remained in the battle, and was scrolling through search machine after search machine to find applications for Navi versus virus fights. A few clicks more and he had found what he was looking for, quickly pressing the 'download now' button after reading it through. The application was finished immediately and brought up a small window. Typing in the names of Djinni's companions, their HP data appeared within the window and he let go a breath of relief as he saw they were still around and alive.
Flames surrounded Djinni's hands which, after some time as some time was necessary for the download, spread out to form crossbows. "Release!" Djinni shouted and shot four arrow-shaped flames from each crossbow at Mothrofly. Some of the energy collected to form the crossbows had fallen onto the ground below Djinni, creating a Lava panel between the buildings of the city. "Djinni.GMB!" Djinni shouted, causing her body to light up and restore her appearance to their original form. The tail below her hips waved around, happy it was brought out again. Reaching up to her turban, she took it off and changed its shape slightly by using her hands. Now similar to a wheel, Djinni started infusing a different kind of data into the turban than the fiery data she usually uses. "Hey Na'im!" Djinni shouted and pointed at the cloth wheel floating in front of her, waiting for its owner to throw it, "Look at this!"
"What is it, Djinni?" he said and played with the hair on his chin, "Ah, you're using that chip. With this it should be over in a zip. Good to see you've chosen the order yourself. It shows you're learning."
"No, no!" Djinni exclaimed happily as she held her finger out towards the weapon, "Look at this!" Spikes appeared on the surface of the turban, all of them made of sand data. By being capable of moving through the fabric of her turban easily, the spikes started to rotate and now the weapon was prepared. Opening her hand, she held her palm towards it and gave it a large pull before rolling it, through the sky, towards Mothrofly. As Navi and weapon were linked to each other by an imaginary wire around Djinni's finger, she tried to command the wheel to stop right as it was over Mothrofly before pulling it back towards her so she could put her headgear on again.

Voulge was found buried by a thin layer of rubble blanketing his body. He was laying down still like a fragile doll with his eyes and his expression blank and dull. His thoughts were in a complete haze. The thought of those who suffered from this battle, the thought of those whose life will never be the same, the thought of those who lost their dearest. All these flooded Voulge's body and mind in an instantly when he took a closer look into the destruction they have caused. He just couldn't blame this on the monsters, the weight of everything also laid on Voulge's shoulder and his comrade. Even Marius, the one who was infamously known to disregard the damage and casualty he causes for his perfect police work, was starting to relate to what his navi was feeling. Though his reason was telling him that this was all just fake, nothing but a simulation in a simulation, a being that is nothing like the actual humans, the guilt was building inside of Marius.
The navi finally stood up from the rubble, reeling his lance back to his hands and slowly walked towards the weakened enemy. Seeing the powerful and destructive monster finally lying down, pathetic and frail, Voulge prayed shortly for its forgiveness into the next world. Now a couple of steps away from Xamera, the Avaria-Lancea started to glow faintly with dark red lights. Voulge gripped onto his weapon harder and his own gauntlet started to glow the same way. "This Lance will open the passage to your salvation or your eternal pain. It won't be me who will decide the path of your soul; it is this Lance of mine!". Only a step away, the lance's red light turned into a blazing fire that lit Voulge's entire right arm. "I will not judge you for the actions you did today, for I am also responsible for this destruction. However, it is my solemn duty to get purge beings like you.". Now just above Xamera, Voulge lifted his Lance up into the sky, burning and flickering left to right from the gentle wind. "Avaria-Lancea...YOU WILL DECIDE THE PASSAGE OF THIS MONSTER!"
The Lance burst out a big gust of wind, negating the fire that was once surrounding it. It revealed a much improved version of the Avaria-Lancea with the handle being extended and the blade enlarged. Voulge closed his eyes and let the weapons drop down to the ground on its own. This was what Voulge was saying as to how the Lance will decide the fate of the monster. Marius sat in his room with silence as he watched Voulge, hoping that his action would be the right thing to do. With Xamera weakened and grounded on it back, it was obvious that it wouldn't be able to dodge as it could before, but it doesn't guarantee that it would hit. Marius also closed his eyes and prayed that the lance would "do the right thing".
The Lance dropped down to the ground, hit or missed. It caused a gigantic explosion of fire all over the area, burning and incinerating everything that was too weak to handle such fire. However, this felt like a gentle breeze of warm wind for Voulge as he embraced the explosion. Without a second to delay, Voulge pulled the lance from the ground and shifted it into a gunlance. "Marius!" The operator was caught in a surprise as he was still closing his eyes. "Wh-what?!" Voulge lifted his Gunlance up to his waist and aimed straight towards the other remaining monster, Mothrofly. "It looks like that monster can take another hit or two. We need to help Djinni." Voulge said this to his operator with such serious expression over his face. It looked as if he wanted to end this once and for all. Marius nodded his head and took out his ace-of-cards, the Magnum1. "All right, Voulge! Magnum1, slot in!". He jammed in the chip into this PET and it formed a Gigantic, red bullet hovering just in front of Voulge. The navi took the bullet and loaded it into this Gunlance. "...I pray for your forgiveness as well." Voulge fired the destructive bullet straight towards the Mothrofly, hoping that it was too occupied with Djinni.
*Thump*
Voulge fell down to the ground with knee first and dropped his heavy Gunlance to the ground, transforming back to its original form. He was exhausted from this fight and he just needed a minute or two to rest. "*Huff huff* I'm sorry, Marius, but I'm almost at my limit..." Marius smiled and started to chuckle from Voulge's Statement. "What are you talking about? Take as long as you want to rest..."

((Cue Music!))
Djinni summons yet another meteor-summoning wand, causing the skies to light up again with fiery orbs of stone and flames. The skin of the Mothrofly splits open, a bright green and black set of legs emerging from the split. It struggles as it draws more and more of it's body out, being pelted by meteors and crossbow arrows at the same time. Its two thin wings unfold, and start to flap wildly and creating a booming humming noise. It is then the transformation is fully seen. The massive striped insect looks like a mutated wasp, covered in spines. Its cyan compound eyes stare down Djinni, all 600 tiny facets reflecting the immolated Navi's image. Djinni strikes with her spiked turban as the mutant wasp fires a volley of spikes from all over it's body. The majority of the spikes directed towards Djinni are made useless by the hardened turban, only a few nicking her body. The turban tears through its exoskeleton, lopping off 2 of its 6 limbs before returning to its owner. The wasp screeches out in pain as it flounders to the ground and sinks below the line of buildings. Several meteors continue to shower from the sky, pelting the area in fire.
Voulge leaps high into the air, summoning the last of his strength and channeling it into his shape-shifting weapon. His Avaria-Lancea sails true, piercing the Xamera's weakened shell. The turtle creature falls to the ground, now removed of the last of it's life. Voulge returns to the ground, magnum at the ready. The enemy is nowhere to be seen. Djinni turns to Voulge as she puts her turban back on. Just then, a loud screech prompts the mutated Mothrofly to leap over the line of buildings, about to pounce on Djinni. Not standing the idea of letting another person he knew suffer, he fires his magnum at the wasp. The round bursts through the monster's carapace, causing it to literally explode in a large fireball.
The city falls quiet, the only sounds that could be heard is the rumbling of the flames and the faint sound of sirens.
The entire area starts to flicker and fade away as the program ends. A group of Navis including the Sergeant and Brigademan emerge from the main entrance. Several Navis with red crosses emblazoned on their shoulders and helmets rush out and treat the trio of test subjects with recovery programs. All three gather together and meet up with the group of police and military Navis.
Congratulations, you've completed the examination.
Outstanding work out there! I was very impressed!
This entire program was designed around our new A.I. technologies; adding more processing power and "intelligence" in even the most basic programs. Since you helped us work out some of the kinks and bugs, we would like you each to have a similar A.I. program that we like to call a "Support Program."
Sergeant Armistice hands them each a glowing packet of data, which is instantly transported to their respective PETs.
We also threw in some BattleChip and zenny data for the little technical difficulties we had a the beginning of the test. We still have a few more minutes before we need to run more tests, so you may choose to stay around for a bit longer or you may Jack Out directly from here.

Broadside strode slowly through the area of the city Quadorah had devastated in a last ditch effort to take the Mecha-Navi with it. He was moving at a steady pace to regroup with his allies, but the megatons of rubble was hindering even his progress somewhat. Buildings were collapsed into the middle of the street, some relatively intact, others reduced to heaps of debris, but all forced him to slow and step carefully over them or find a way around them mess. Still, some buildings still stood, but threatened to fall over. Some did, and ended up striking Broadside in the leg before disintegrating into a pile of debris at his feet. All of this hindered his progress to a crawl, and served to explain the deeply displeased perma-frown he wore upon his face as he trudged on.
Jared looked at his Navi with a worried expression. The monster's final rage-driven dash into Broadside had left a dragon's skull shaped indention in his central torso plate armor. The buckled armor was caved in deep enough to have completely ruined both of Broadside's Buster weapons and wrecked the mortar weapon that fired from his upper torso. Diagnostics further stated the left support member for the forward center torso had sheared, which left the unsupported armored panel on that side to swing out a bit, and block the left missile bay, and the bottom section of the sheared support member protruded from the space left by the separation of the dented central plate and the partially unsupported side plate.
-------------
Broadside sighed in exasperation. He was now back in the core of the city, and, from what his sensors told him, not more than eight or nine city blocks from Djinni's location. He'd tried to travel to Voulge's closer location, but the terrain had been completely impassible, especially for his larger mecha frame. Although he'd managed to get this far in spite of everything, he'd just rounded another corner, only to run into a complete dead end.... again. A blown out and burning skyscraper had tilted over to rest upon both the skyscraper across the street from it, and the remains of another large building that had collapsed into the street beneath it.
"That... sucks." Jared commented as he saw the mass of debris and rubble blocking his Navi's path. "I'm beginning to think there's no way to reach the others."
Broadside stood there for a moment, staring vexedly at the obstruction for several quiet moments. His sensors told him at least one of his allies was a moderate distance beyond it. The sounds of battle, mostly booming impacts at this point, told him the battle still raged between Djinni and one of the monsters as well. His frown disappeared as he came to a decision...
"It seems my next course of action is clear... Broadside said before he began to turn to the right, and away from the wall of debris like he had many times previously.
"Alright, I'll try retracing our steps to the nearest pla--"
Jared never finished his sentence as Broadside brought his Gigas Arm up, hauled back, then stepped forward and twisted his torso around and threw the mother of all round-house punches, Mecha-sized, at the obstruction. His electrically charged magbolt-powered break-assisted Mecha-fist smashed into the wall of debris with the expected result of completely demolishing it....
"...or you could do that." Jared muttered to himself as the obstacle in his Navi's path was summarily obliterated.
However, before Broadside could step through the newly opened path, the environment flickered, and then vanished altogether. He was left standing there in the semi featureless simulator room once more... Semi-featureless in that it looked as blank as it had before, but was now marred with several blast marks, dents, and other signs of damage here and there.
As Broadside turned to look out over the area, a military medic Navi ran up to him and used a few recover chips to restore some of the damage he'd taken. This served to repair most of the minor damage he'd sustained, but did nothing for the damage Quadorah's final attack had inflicted. He looked up and noticed both that Djinni and Voulge were still with him and receiving the same treatment.
"Huh..." Jared began, as his earlier worries about the damage were confirmed. "After you're done there, return to the PET and I'll use the hangar program to repair the damage. Don't change out of your Mecha form for the time being. I have no idea how your other form will be affected by this."
"Understood." Broadside replied as he turned and began moving to rejoin the others.

Just before Voulge's conscious was knocked out, he caught the final glimpse of the Mothrofly being blown up by his Magnum. This made sure he could rest without nothing to worry about. "...Nice..." He was unconscious for at least 20-25 seconds before waking up to see at least three military navis conducting a recovery system on his body. Though he wasn't completely healed, he stood up, reeled back his lance, and started to walk towards his two comrades.
He turned to Broadside with the same dull expression, but inside he was actually surprised that he was alive. "...Glad that you're safe, Broadside." He also turned to Djinni and nodded, "You too". Behind him, he realized Sergeant Armistice was congratulating them for their "victory" over the monsters and handed each of the navis the reward program. Grabbing his, he scanned to find the zenny, chip, and finally the SP data they were seeking for. Voulge attempted to open the SP, but a strange voice came from inside...
"CHE! I guess I'm stuck with you, you piece of crap!"
From the sound of the voice, it obviously had something against Voulge for odd reason....This was certainly strange since SP datas come completely clean and rewritable, but it looks as if the SP had an emotion and personality already set inside. Was it possible that this was the A.I. of the Xamera Voulge defeated?!
-----
On the real world, Marius calmed down from knowing that the mission was a complete success and Voulge was safe. "Mission Success, come back when ever you have the chance to." He took the reward data and started to walk out of the door. The time for the tournament they registered was coming and he needed to get prepared as soon as possible. So, he first headed to the Navi Shop nearby and proceed to the Sci-Lab to register the SP data...
EDIT:
After Marius came back from the shop, he checked up on Voulge through the PET. "Voulge. I got everything prepared now. After I install the new upgrade and configure it. Jack out ASAP Voulge didn't feel too good about this, since he had the chance to speak and see the real side of the SP before his operator, but Marius simply inserted the Sig Upgrades and the SP program into his PET.
After a few minute, the configuration was complete and the navi's body was surrounded by a quick beam of light and Voulge. Now turning his attention to the SP, Voulge hesitated for a second before activating the troublesome program. Letting out a silent sigh, Voulge activated the program. Thin threads of data appeared out of thin air and started to form into a ball of light. A second later, the light was wrapped in a thin layer of fire and started to form to its real form.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA! You just made a fatal mistake!".
The laughter came from the light and the fire wrapping the light was shot towards Voulge! However, the navi easily dodged the petit fire and blankly stared at the SP. "...Damn..." The sphere finally formed into its standard form and revealed a brilliantly bright crystal ball. It was roughly shaped like a fireball and as big as a bowling ball. After closer inspection, Voulge and Marius realized that the crystal ball had no mouth at all...Strange. The SP was floating around and around Voulge as if it was inspecting his new owner. After it stopped, it let out a sigh and started to float away from Voulge.
"*Sigh*...How in the world did I lose to this piece of junk?"
Marius was confused by what he meant, but it just comfirmed Voulges theory that the SP A.I. was actually the exact replica of the Xamera he just defeated...The SP floated back and formed a human hand forming a thumbs up sign with his crystal body. "Alright! No need to be so upset about it...Call me...Call me Ignis, Carbunculus Ignis Fatuus. Heh, a fancy name, right?! RIGHT!?". Ignis' crystal body started to emit small sparks of angry embers while Voulge simply stood, doing absolutely nothing. Marius was just too confused on what was going on and decided to take a short rest. "C'mon Voulge. Take the SP--", "IGNIS!", "What ever...Just Jack out of the net."
Voulge said his farewell to the two navis with a quick nod and took Ignis by the bottom with his left hand .This let Ignis be very upset since he was about 2 times bigger than Voulge. He felt so helpless, but this only let his anger towards Voulge grow even bigger. "I'ma get you one day, Voulge!"

Tilting her head downwards slightly and turning her mouth into a horizontal stripe, she stared at the place where Mothrofly had transformed only to die miserably. "What..." Djinni muttered and held an opened hand out in front of her, "Was that?" Positioning her body properly again, her tail waving happily, she sighed and crossed her arms. "Don't they teach these monsters to transform before you start the fight with the good guys? Not when you die. Transformations are never last options!" Djinni said and turned away from the spot, realizing the recovery Navis had come to assist Djinni and her companions. But at the sight of her companions, she realized her giant friend was still around. "Wait, but didn't he..." Djinni stammered as she pointed at Broadside while the recovery Navis did their job.
"I tried to tell you," Na'im started, "He ain't one to leave the crew. He survived the last attack made on him. I guess you could say it was sink or swim. Broadside could barely stand after that. His chances were pretty bad." He then moved away from the microphone and only some soft mumbling to himself was heard, but not loud enough to understand what was said.
Making a swift floating motion, Djinni headed to Broadside as she shouted happily at him. "Broadside! Broadside!" she exclaimed and embraced his large arm-mounted weapon with both arms, "I thought you were gone! I... I... I..." For a few seconds Djinni remained quiet until she started to speak again. "I can't figure out what to say. I'm just so glad you're okay, Broadside. I won't let you get hurt next time," Djinni said, her tail waving more happily than usual with her emotions standing high in the positive numbers. Still hanging from Broadside's cannon, she turned her head from left to right to look for their third companion. "Voulge already left...? Awww..." she said and pouted, "I wanted to look at his shiny weapon some more." Slowly the coin sank in her mind, until it hit the bottom, and Djinni realized the two of them were two again. Slowly Djinni made herself slid off of Broadside's weapon until she floated closely above the ground again. "Hey Broadside," Djinni started, glancing at him while twiddling her index fingers, "Could you turn into that smaller form of yourself for a bit?"
