EyeCDC...just forget it

((Coming from here))

In the network, a line began to draw itself across the flooring. Roughly a meter in length, the line came to a halt upon reaching its maximum size. And then, with a sudden and almost violent motion, the line split, forming the eyelids of a singular eye symbol, opening up wide upon the ground. The pupil began to shift and bubble, and before long, from the inky darkness rose a singular form. It rose to the full height of the woman that was known as Vigil, the Mistress of Eyes.

Or at least, that's what she'd like to be known as. Her fingers drew up her entire form, starting at her hips, up over her abdomen and then breasts before rising up into the air in an approximation of a stretch. "What fun...I haven't been able to delete a virus since yesterday," the woman cooed, before glancing back behind her, despite not being able to See. "Alexander dear, are you there?"

"I'm here. Sorry, Travis sent me an email."

"One that I don't get to read? For shame, keeping secrets. What a naughty boy you are. I can punish you later, if you'd like."

"Stop. It's not anything important, really. I'll fill you in as we go. Let's see what we can find."

"Haha, very well. I believe that bounty is still active as well...I wonder if we can find some NeoMetools to shred. I do like being rewarded for my work, after all," Vigil cackled, sashaying her hips as she made her way forward further into the Net.

--

Outside, Alexander frowned as he read the email for perhaps the fifth time.

Hey dude,

After seeing how Vigil was doing with that Asymptote guy and being all weird like she was, I figure I should probably tell you that I didn't make her. A hacker friend of mine from the Undernet owed me a favor and...that's kinda where she came from. I don't know all the weird shit that she's got in her, and I don't even know where she's from. You might wanna check that out at some point to get more info.

Trav

Alexander exhaled, rubbing his hand over his face. The Undernet wasn't exactly an easy place to get to...he'd need to start pushing Vigil harder. Because he was curious. Now he just needed to find a way there.

Vigil requesting Battle 1! Neo-Metool Bounty active!
Moving into the ACDC network by herself this time around, Vigil didn't take long to find a few viruses to play around with. A pair of floating Powie puppets, along with a little Bunny virus, were hopping on and off of a revolving green crystal, emitting little happy squeaks as they took turns to ride it. The crystal was floating above a spot of cracked terrain in the middle of the road, one of many along the wide open path. Upon spotting her approach, they stopped their little playtime, and the Bunny's ears began to crackle with hostility. What was more, the sound of a squeaky bouncing noise came from behind her, which would reveal a Melody approaching, alongside one of the Metools that sported little gun barrels from their mouths. She was surrounded!

Ah...it was good to be back here, even if she had only been gone for but a moment. She didn't have the ability, of course, to simply eliminate all of these in a single attack, but at the same time, she did feel excitement at seeing so many here all at once. The very idea of it was exciting and alluring to her, being able to enter into combat with so many adversaries at the same time. A faint giggle elicited from her lips as she surveyed the area, able to see the vague shapes from those surrounding her, before the woman gave a small sound of excitement.

"I think it is time to play, my dears..." she spoke, the woman's body readying itself for combat. Her initial though twas to simply hurl the Lilbomb out into the arena, decimating the group that had all gathered around the Mystery Data...but perhaps she should keep that safe for herself? It was a difficult thing to consider, but she supposed that, for the moment, she would simply avoid destroying it if she didn't have to. But if worse came to worse, she would absolutely sacrifice it for herself.

But from her time with Asymptote, she knew just how annoying the Bunnies could be. There were a number of problems to solve and not all that much time to solve them. First and foremost, she would need to see, and then from there, she'd determine her best course of action. Extending her hand out to the right, her data formed into a glowing sphere at first before it consolidated down into what looked like a closed eye...before it opened widely, blinking twice before looking at its mistress and giving a small nod, beginning to grow as it made its way over to the right side of the arena, looking in on everything.

As soon as she had the extra sight in place, the woman spun, rising her hands up into the air as she did so, fading into the inky darkness as she fell into the pupil of the eye beneath her. As she did so, a slash appeared on the ground to roughly ten o'clock from her position, if the Mystery Data were the twelve o'clock mark. The cut in the ground opened as another eye symbol, and she simply rose up out of it then, twirling once more to let her dress flare a bit as her ally on the right analyzed the battle layout. As she came up, it was clear that she was holding something, and the reasons for the spinning became obvious as she turned, hurling an eye with what looked like an LED timer for an iris that slowly counted down as it arced through the air, aiming to land behind the Melody and the NeoMetool in an attempt to extinguish them both, analyzed for the exact spot to aim by her seeing eye on the right.

And then her hand extended, the eye appearing in her palm as she downloaded the shotgun chip data from Alexander, the man working in tandem with her without needing to really communicate, seeing where she was going and knowing what she would need. In that, the pupil formed a figure eight, and Alexander watched as the female navi unleashed a blast of hailfire directly at the PowieB, and the Bunny behind it at the angle she'd arrived at. "Battle Routine, set. Execute," the woman whispered with a fanged grin as the energy burst out at the two viruses, hopefully missing the mystery data.

Getting to work immediately on the viruses, Vigil produced one of her Eyes, this time with a definite view on the battlefield to assist her with the fight. The Melody behind her, as well as the Powie from behind the Mystery Data crystal took the first initiative against her, jumping to attack her with full bodyslams. However, Vigil was quick on the draw and moved out of the way just in time for the two to collide, and for them to receive a nasty surprise with Vigil's eye-bomb. The blast wiped out both of them, as well as the nearby Metool, which had little time to react to the mess before it was deleted.

Her lucky streak would end there, as she unfortunately found herself stepping on some unstable terrain. The cracked tiling beneath her shifted as she brought out the Shotgun to bear against the Bunny, causing her aim to slightly falter. The hailfire that she brought against the virus missed by a hair, though fortunately it didn't hit the Mystery Data crystal next to her. Instead, the Bunny retaliated quickly by launching an electrically-charged energy ring at her, which gave her quite a nasty shock. (-10, Stun!) The attack was followed up by a stomp from above by the other Powie (-20), causing the ground under her to collapse and bringing her along with it.

As per usual, Vigil's attacks had gone off without a hitch. Her bomb had not only decimated the two behind her, but additionally, had managed to snag the other Powie as well who had thought to attack her. What a foolish creature. Her plan had succeeded better than she could have hoped, and the shotgunfire was about to pretty much end this little duel of hers with these viruses, and she almost felt bad for picking on them like she was.

Of course, then her hubris caught up with her. She had been dedicating far too much of her Sight on her opponents and none on the terrain itself, causing a misstep as her foot stepped onto some Cracked panels, and that caused her whole plan to fall apart. As soon as her balance started to fail, the woman had still attempted for her shotgun, hoping that she'd have enough aim to manage it...but she did not. With only a single eye about, she didn't have the efficacy to put together something that would end this battle.

INstead, she tripped, her shot went awry, and then she found herself being surrounded by electrical attacks from the Bunny, and then the slight seize of her body from that ring caused the Powie to land a hit, dropping her down a bit into the now-broken panels.

Beneath, the woman exhaled slowly. "Alexander, why did I make that mistake?"

"Arrogance, probably. It happens. Here, I'll give you what you need to finish this, here and now."

She couldn't help a smirk cross her face as her NetOP saw through the situation with relative ease. Perhaps she should listen to him more, instead of going off on her own to do her own thing. "Very well. I see what we're doing here. I'll be done in a moment, my dear~" the woman called out, though despite the happy words, there was a certain edge of her own frustrations as she spoke them.

Nonetheless, Vigil glanced upward, seeing the Powie still floating above where she was. She gave a small smirk then as she connected back to her Spying Eye, getting a feel for the battleground before she activated the AreaGrab chip. As she did, the woman simply dissolved into the same inky blackness that she often did, sinking down into the ground. Back above, on the Normal Panels, Vigil's darkness shot up from the ground, forming into a version of her, grinning wickedly as the FireBurner chip was set into her Eye, causing the iris to flare red as the flames poured out of it, aiming to incinerate them both.

As she did so, she felt a familiar touch as she utilized one of Asymptote's gifted Chips to her, and for a moment, she could feel the presence of her friend, before it was gone, her body revitalized even as she readied the final chip...only to feel her body stiffen slightly, locking up. "Alexander," she called, sounding a bit vexed.

"I didn't factor in the residual Stun. I guess we're both at fault," he spoke clearly, and Vigil grunted. She felt better, but she didn't quite have the power she'd needed to finish off them both...presuming that her unexpected assault had succeeded.

Undeterred by her unexpected failure, Vigil responded to the attack by executing an ambush on the two viruses. Using the AreaGrab chip provided by her operator, she warped in behind the unsuspecting Bunny from the darkness. The Bunny, which had started hopping over towards the hole she had just left to inspect it, would then be on the receiving end of a blaze that Vigil had ready for the two, turning them into a crisp quite promptly. Afterwards, Vigil's injuries were fully restored, thanks to the recovery chip that had been gifted to her just recently. (+30)
