Druidman: Mapmaker

A gust of wind blows across the net, bringing in leaves that swirl to form... DruidMan.

Standing up from his crouched position, Druidman began to scan the horizon looking for a map station, or anything else interesting. Not immediatley seeing either, he decided to roam around aimlessly.
Although Druidman had no luck in finding a map station, he did manage to stumble upon something else--a pack of viruses who came charging at him from all sides!

--FIGHT FOR YOU LIFE!--
"What can't I catch a break, man?" Druidman berated himself as the virii charged, "I'm already getting jumped by a bunch of virus-dudes."

"Keep calm, Druidman. It's no big deal, you can take these small fry easy." Steve encouraged his navi. "Now, Triple Battlechip In! Cannon! Shotgun! Minibomb!"

Druidman, not bothering to grab his scimtar, instead pulled up his other, gauntleted hand. As the 'leaves' folded back and he pulled the springload to download the Cannon data, he carefully looked across the field to get his bearings. Selecting his target, one of the Cannondumbs, he took careful aim, and delivered a blast of concussive energy. Strafing around the area, he pulled back the spring again, this time downloading the data in smaller chunks. Aiming at the other Cannondumb, Druidman let loose a torrent of bits of data at his target. Leting the gauntlet return to it's neutral position, he reaches into his belt pouch, and produced a small, blue orb. "Take this, Met-dude!" he roars as he lobs the Minibomb over into the group of Mettool.

The pair of Canodumbs were taken out by the Cannon and the Shotgun, fired with pinpoint accuracy in quick succession. A Minibomb went hurtling into the fray, originating from Druidman's direction, and a huge explosion went up, scattering dust and smoke into the air. However, there was no accompanying burst of deleting data--Druidman must have missed his intended target. However, the smoke seriously threw off the other Metools' aim, because their shockwaves went flying off in random directions that weren't even close to the Navi.

"Man, that smoke is a think as pea soup!" Steve gasped. "I guess visablity is out the window, so let's try some chips that barely hit anyway."

"Pure dumb luck?" Druidman asked.

"Pure dumb luck. Double Battlechip in! Magbomb1! Vulcan1!" Steve said, slotting in the chips. "And take care of that ghosty guy on the outside." he added.

Druidman nodded and reached into his bag. Digging around a little, he pulled out a small device covered in magnets. Deciding that trying to actually aim would do him little good, he hurled the bomb into the cloud and hoped for the best. If nothing else, it might blow some of the smoke away. Pulling up his gauntlet, he tapped the sapphire button twice, and from within its internal mechanisims, a small chaingun emerged. Once again, throwing accuracy to the winds, he fired randomly into the cloud until the gun spun, but no bullets emerged. Finnally pulling free his scimitar, Druidman turned his focus on the Spooky virus. Letting out a harsh murmur, vines emerged from the ground, trying to bind the virus to keep it from moving. "ENTANGLING HEAT FORCE!" Druidman roared out, and his scimitar, now engulfed in magical flames, blazed brightly as he charged inwards, taking a mighty swing at the ghostly virus.

The bomb lands in front of the smoke. As it sits there sparking, a met is drug forward. It takes a tiny bit of a zap from the bomb but the real pain pours in as it is blasted to bits by the VUlcan. The Spooky sees Druidman coming and warps to the side. However, the swing is large enough that it still stirkes it. A shockwave then comes charging out of the smoke, striking the navi.

Druidman.EXE: 140 HP
"That worked out slightly better than expected..." Steve said bemusingly to himself. "Too bad I still can't see anything."

"Oh well, dude. I guess we just need some more widespread damage." Druidman sighed. "Give me some chips with some kick, man!" a slightly manaical grin formed on his face.

"Okay, Triple Battlechip In! Energybomb! Vulcan2! Shotgun!" Steve said, sliding in the three gray chips.

Druidman, reaching into his pouch, removed what appeared to be a minibomb, save for the fact taht it was much more knobbly, and glowing brightly. Taking a quick pitch into the haze, Druidman was just barely able to make out a white-hot corona through the thick smoke. Pulling out his gauntlet for the third time, he flips the sapphire again, revealing a chaingun. A red-orange glow comes off of the barrels as he fires volley after volley of plasma into the cloud, he can only hope that the projectiles reach their intended destinations. Pulling back the springload on the gauntlet, and quickly releasing it before the chaingun can de-materialize, he sends a barrage of shrapnel, junk data, and energy into the smokey zone.

The bomb misses but as he listens, Druidman hears three of the bullets from his Vulcan connect. The Shotgun, through some sort of miracle, blindly hits. As the energybomb's light dies down, a faint reflection can be seen, but is soon followed up by a shockwave.

"There!" both Navi and Operator yell in unison, indicating the faintest flash of reflection, followed by the shockwave. Druidman, finnally throwing caution to the winds, draws his scimitar, and, holding it aloft, charges into the smoke, a faint green glow eminating from the blade as he did so. Steve, unable to see anything but the cloud, could only barely make out the faint glow of a green blade being swung downwards violently.

As Druidman subdivides the cloud, it parts, and he finds that the virus has indeed been sliced in half!

"Cool!" Steve exclaimed giddily as the fresh chip popped out of his PET. "A Guard! These things can come in handy! Druidman, let's see if we can find another one or two." he instructed. "And maybe some other cool stuff too."

"Right on, dude!" Druidman said, and he was off searching for viruses, the map all but forgotten.

Battle 2 Start!
"Uh oh, I REALLY don't want to get roasted by those dudes." Druidman worriedly commented.

"Well, it's a good thing that we got that Guard! Let's try this stuff out! Triple Battlechip In! Energybomb! Vulcan1! Guard!" Steve encouraged his Navi, slotting in his chips.

Druidman's right hand reached for his belt, while his left, gauntleted hand flew up, a small chaingun already emerging from the chamber. In an almost simultaneous action, he rolled a small, knobbly explosive at the feet of one Spikey, while spraying a downpour of plasma bullets on the other. Not wanting to take any chances against his firey foes, or any other for that matter, his gauntlet pulsated slightly as a massive sheild appeared, protecting him from harm.

The bomb takes out one Spikey while two shots hit the other. A bunny attacks, only to have it reflected, though a Bat still manages to damage Druidman.

"Need more power, dude! These guys are relentless!" Druidman said, slightly panicked.

"Don't worry, Druidman. We're still doing just fine." came Steve's calm reply. Picking out a few more chips, he slotted them in, "Triple Battlechip In! Shotgun! Vulcan2! Minibomb!"

Druidman stood up and discarded the shattered remanants of his Guard. Holding up his trusty gauntlet, Druidman pulled back the chamber and filled it with dozens of energy pellets, which he quickly used to rain over the two injured viruses. The attack complete, a moderate sized chaingun emerged from the barrel, which, as it spun, began to whir and pop as it fired it's cascade of shots at the Spikey. Not done with his assault, Druidman reached into his belt pouch and pulled out a small blue explosive, which he promptly hurled at the group of Bunnys.

All of DruidMan's attacks seemed to have hit their targets, though lining up the agile Spiky with the Bunny proved to be too difficult to pull off. The viruses took this time to wail on Druidman as he recovered from his attacks, however, and he was hit with a Zapring dead on. Luckily, he had enough strength to shake off the stun.

"Gotta get rid of that blasted Spikey!" Steve vented, slamming his hands down on the desk.

Druidman, however, was too busy murmuring a passionate chant. As he drew his scimitar, heat billowed outwards and the blade burst into flames. Pointing at the Bunny that had hit him, he flicks his wrist as he yells out, "ENTANGLING HEAT FORCE!!!" Vines erupt around the virus as he charges in, holding the firey blade behind him.

Steve took the time to carefully select the next two chips to use. "Double Battlechip In! Cannon! Shotgun!" he said, popping the two grey chips into his PET.

Spiraling away from his assault, Druidman nimbily lands with his scimitar put away and his gauntlet out and loaded with the Cannon data. Hoping to finish the blasted Spikey once and for all, he fired the concussive blast of energy at it, and then turned to face the previously ignored Seedbats. "I like bats..." he thought somewhat dumbly to himself, as he took aim with the held in powers of the Shotgun chip. Closing an eye to get a better view, he held his breath and fired the volley at them.

The bunny is blasted by the sig, but the spikey manages to just barely avoid it. The seedbat isdeleted, but splashes to no avail on the seedbat.

Druidman: 90
"This is getting most bogus, dude." Druidman commented through clenched teeth, eyeing the Spikey that refused to go.

"Stay cool, Druidman! Try these out! Cannon! Vulcan1!" came the operator's swift and calming reply, along with chip data.

Druidman's gauntlet flashed as he pulled back the spring, and flipped around the guide marks to take aim at the wildly flapping Seedbat. Squeezing the release, he fired a blast of energy, right at the flapping bat. Taking a moment to dash around the area, Druidman lined up himself with the spikey and the seedbat, and pulled out the small chaingun. Kneeling down to get a shot at an upward angle, Druidman began firing like crazy, hoping that any excess or stray bullets would finsih off the seedbat as well as the Spikey.
