Soul Calibur IV

Quote ()

Yeah, the small profiles are translated on soulcaliburuniverse, though they're a bit spread over a single thread, so here's a quick resume of interesting things for those lazy to track 'em down:

Siegfried and Nightmare fought at the Cathedral with Taki as witness. The battle released strong energies that destroyed the place, Taki barely survived. Sieg was almost killed but SC saved him by bonding with his soul. Nighty almost fell apart, but escaped into Oshtreinsburg.

Back on home, he restored his faux body. The energy released in the fight spread over the world and awoke all shards of the sword, which flew back toward the castle in a rain of light, making SE "technically" complete (Asty has his shard still inside, and Maxi may too). Taki wants to stop the new confrontation between SC and SE, thought, having realized the danger it represents.

Tira - Sent her crows to gather warriors to help protect SE.
Voldo - Answered the call. Was deceived by SE to serve him under the guise of Vercci.
Astaroth - Invited by Tira as well. Accepts since he wants strong souls to grow in strength and defeat Ares.
Cervantes - Absorbed souls and created a fleet of ghost pirates. Let his SE to fuse with the main one so he can get the whole thing in one swoop.
Ivy - Told by someone (apparently Edgemaster) that she can't use SC's power. Tried to make an Homunculus to do it, but was attacked by Cervantes and most of her soul stolen. She takes the artificial soul she was making to survive instead. But she knows it won't last long.
Mi-na - Told Yun about SE being evil. Also learned from Talim that there's an "opposite" to SE. She's interested by this.
Yun - Even after Mi-na told him, he still wants to see it for himself. Bumped into Hwang as well, who told him the same, but he's still wanting to see it for himself.
Cass - Fought Raphael and lost the shard of SE she got. Later heard about the couple healing people in his town, and went looking for them. Ended following Sieg, believing SC is Dvapara-Yuga.
Raph - Found a tribe that claims to have been the protectors of SC. Now believes SC will give him the power to create a world for Amy.
Soph - Discovered her daughter can't survive without SE's aura. Destroying SE means her death.
Maxi - Met with Kilik and X and recovered memories, but left them due to his body having a shard of SE. Later Tira told him that only SE can give him an edge against Asty.
Kilik - Wants to become the "mediator" between SE and SC to keep their powers at check. Wants to not involve X in that, so he has not tell her his plans.
X - Wants to stop Maxi from using SE for his revenge, apparently.
Zas - After seeing a vision of the future, has changed his mind: now he wants to stay immortal and see that future.
Mitsu - Still looking for a good battle. Defeated Greed and Miser in the meantime.
Liz - His soul seems to have been tainted, so he's back to his old animal self, and back as the head of a Liz unit.
Amy - Nothing new from her SC3 profile. Seeks Raph.
Hilde - After a meeting with Sieg, thinks its a good opportunity to lead an attack against Nightmare.

Actually, I see quite a few interesting things in there. For example, the story of Soph. And also, the story of Mitsu making some of the bonus characters canon. Seems like we really are getting a final battle this time around.

There should have been a Wii version with
Mace Windu. :'D

But yeah... I kinda doubt a compilation would happen.

Unless there's truth to what Zan says.

I've edited your text to make it better, and RIGHT.
So many of you probably have heard enough to confirm it yourselves, but I have some pictures that confirm it too now. Basically, for anyone who doesn't know, the armor break system is supposed to punish players for being too defensive (and presumably or hopefully just guarding too much, not countering, but at least for the guarding). It's divided into three parts of armor: head, upper, and lower.

Here's some images:

I'm just wondering: WHAT TO BREAK OFF OF IVY AND VOLDO? Sure, maybe like Ivy's shoulder pad or Voldo's knee pads, but if Xianghua's losing her whole jacket, I shudder to think of worst case scenarios here.

On another note, for those interested in the Star Wars aspect: there's a playable stage that's the Star Destroyer's docking bay, and it even has the Imperial March music on it. XD
I wonder if Vader starts to lose armor/his mask and stuff as he fights. That would be badass.
Can you say screenshot mode? :'D
Can you say stupidity incarnate? DX

I guess we'll finally be able to see Yoda's manly man physique.

Also, Hair goes through arm.
The origional DOA also had articals of clothing that would fall off, masks, hair ornaments, greives, capes, ect. But nothing scandelous.
Did you just compare DoA to SC?

Wow.
This system is basically an advanced version of the one found in Fighting Vipers.
Or Super Smash Bros. :'D
