Now that I have your attention... [/sneakyeyecatchslogan]
I will procure and deliver a sum of 150 Zenny to the person who designs the best backstory for Liegos and a Spear of Light (see below for details). This competition will last for 2 weeks at best.
Liegos (Ee-yay-goh)
_____________________
Liegos is a Kurbee, as in, Kirby clone (that's about the apex of my origionality. <(T.T)>). Kurbees are slightly bigger than Kirby but can have only one permanent power. His backstory currently includes: "being brought up in a mountain-top society of robes and worship which is brutally slaughtered by an as yet totally awsome deity, followed by a treck to an underground monolith and chance occurence with the main character" or some such nonsense. I'm really bad at putting stuff to paper.
There's a thought. I could hire a scribe. Anyone interested?
Staff of Light
_____________________
One of those objects of power that people praise the gods for or something. It's basically an orb at one end (staff) and a lance at the other (spear). That's, uh, magic and combat aspect. Liegos' weapon, so it's to fit his character style.
Post here, yarr.
This! Is! Chocolate!!!

What'ws his perminent power, and do you have anything else physical description wise, and what is his combat style? It obviously mixes magic and might, like my spell-sword class does, but what style of magic does he use?

Fun, yarr.
Well, the problem I have is that he doesn't actually have one. He's an experimant which would spoiler stuff if I told you, so yarr. His combat is Spellsword style (grats muchly for the word) so that could be it. Wears the traditional clothing of... uh... something from the society. Like, the villagers or whatever think's he's a legendary saviour. Maybe.
It's more or less standard magic/colour scheme. Blue = Water, Yellow = Thunder, etc. So if it's like "Crimson Carnage!" then it'll be a sort of fire attack.
Is that enough?

...
lolwut? Caped Bugman?
So... I'm assuming you need some RPG-esque plot where Liegos goes on an epic quest to defeat said awesome deity that destroyed hometown?

Fightning style coming soon. Are there Limit Break type things in your game? Would be helpful to know.

Sure. Nothing epic can be without them.
During the course of the plot, our caped companion manages to absorb an entity similar to said awsome deity which, naturally, comes out under extreme pressure and emotion or so.
If the "awsome deity" was composed of the wind element, then the one Liegos confronts would be of fire. So think "total haxing with massive balls of searing heat". This'll be in the finished version, so you probably shouldn't worry about it.

O, if you have the limit break thing all worked out, then I'll leave that alone. What sort of status effects does you game have? I'm assuming standard ones (confuse, poison, sleep, ect.) but I want to be sure.

Fair 'nuff, Shury. That's called "motivating" BTW.
Hadn't really thought of status effects. Yeah the usual, with some kind of freezing, stunned and on fire satuses (sp?).

Status effects:
On fire (Don't do anything until cured, take gradual damage)
Poisoned
Frozen
Crippled (lower speed)
Confusion
Stun (cant do anything one turn)
Mana leech
Regen
Auto-raise
K.O
Stiff (slow + attack down)
Blind
If your using RPG maker XP I can get you regen, auto life, and POSSIBLY to get fire based attacks to cure freeze instantly.

I believe RPG Maker is far too slow for what i'm intending, but thanks for the offer.
Nice list, yarr.

Right, plox.
Liegos is living happily in his hometown and goes off for an errand after playing some minigames that you have at the beginning of every game to get you familiar with the system.
When he returns, however, he finds the village in ruins and a giant muscular Titan-like man covered in shadows is in the middle of the destruction, bellowing loudly. Liegos faints from shock.
Some random party member that shall join in your quest shall come along and explain what happens to you. The "God of Darkness" has been on a rampage for several weeks and came to Liegos' hometown in his path of destruction. Liegos swears to avenge his town and takes his Staff of Light and journeys with informative party member to defeat the "God of Darkness." They follow its path of destruction, get more party members, get stronger, beat up monsters, and probably about 1 or 2 hours into the game, Liegos encounters the "Deity of Light" battles it, wins through some cut-sceneish thing where he absorbs the Deity and faints. He figures out he has that power the next time you get low health in a battle, or face off against certain badguy that triggers awakening of "Deity of Light"'s powers. Liegos eventually learns how to control these powers and gain super powerful attacks. they journey on, FINALLY ENCOUNTER "God of Darkness," face-off, win, story ends.

*throws out earlier work* Well now I have to start all over again, as that plot compleatly changes the fightning style.

Y'know, i'm not really sure why I put this thing up, as the only thing that's missing plotwise is the general motivation for the in game storylines.
The way it works in my head is that bits and bobs float around like a discombombulated jigsaw. Besides, this is only the RPG part of a larger project.
My dream. My treasure. My master plan. My way of the shinobi. My final destination and other anime related goals.
Over 90% of my game design comes from other sources, copied you might say, which is probably why I like Kirby so much. That's my credo: "If you want to steal from someone, steal from the best."

Hey, I know. I'll write up what i've got in the fanfiction place, then all of you can pitch in... hopefully.
