Short Sharo Skirmishes

((From -> A Cafe in SciLab))

Courser Arrived on the net as a dark shape amidst a light squall of snow that was blowing over this part of the Sharo network. He stretched and flexed his arms, rolling his shoulders and taking a long, deep breath. Just a few quick fights, nothing serious or major. Just enough to make sure nothing was going to go horribly wrong.

“Alright Jen, you ready?”
“Ready.” Her voice came back calm and alert. He was honestly surprised she hadn't railed at him more, but they were both still a little bit shocked about how events had snowballed. There was a more serious conversation to have later. He kicked off and began gliding across the snow and ice on an eddy of water, searching for a few things to test his combat routines.

((Ready for Battle 1: CourseMan, Aqua, Shadow: Decoy/TrapMaster, Bounty: Basher))
Wondering through the snowy wastes that was the Sharo network, where he had been not very long before and wrestling with the literal beast inside. His travels slowly taking him towards a curious area, a somewhat cross-shape of normal paneling surrounded by holes in each of the cardinal directions or the same numbers on a clock, from his perspective he was near the right hand/3-o-clock facing of the clock as the winds began to pick up and with it, uncovering a gleaming diamond as a grassy green color began to uncover itself, near the left hand/9-o-clock facing hole.

Before he could rush out towards it to claim it's free goodies, a trio of viruses quickly made themselves known as they shook the snow off of themselves, having noticed Courseman's presence and began to turn towards him. The nearby Shellgeek, a clam-like virus, quickly shut itself to prevent said navi from getting in a cheap shot in on it. The poofy little cloud virus holding a parisol above it's head, funnily enough named Cloudy, began to float above the air slowly, not high enough to evade the snow beneath it, but just enough to avoid any grounded attacks Courser could make against it. In addition, a familiar looking Shrimpy in it's signature blue and yellow striped pattern began to make it's move across the frigid snowy scape, roughly in a diagonal ahead of Courser himself.
If that wasn't bad enough for him, two more metallic viruses dropped down from the skies, the familiar, sentient, artillery cannon that was the Basher family dropped with a loud crash, shaking the ground and pumping it's useless little arms at Courser. And just to it's side, an offshoot of the HardHead family adorned in an icy blue color scheme, the massive unit that was the ColdHead slammed down right next to it, both viruses creating a small crater in the center of the field as battle routines flared up and Courser was thrust into a battle...one had to wonder how the beast inside him would react to such fresh prey, practically lining up for him.

BasherBasher (Basher)

Basher viruses are the top-tier of the stationary gunnery viruses with an unmatched single-shot damage output among the normal viruses. They are also the rarest of their class, and appear only after battle 5. They also never appear in large numbers in a normal battle, meaning the ratio of total viruses to Bashers should be at least 4 to 1. The attack cycle of Bashers is 2 actions long, regardless of which attack they use. The first attack requires one action to charge before firing, and the second attack executes twice in succession. If they are stunned, they resume their attack cycle where it was halted once the stun wears off. They don't move, and don't dodge.

Area: Sharo

HP: 120
Primary Attack Damage/Effect: 60 Fire + Break + Panel Break x3 Targets, 1 Action Charge
Primary Attack Accuracy: A
Primary Attack Description: The virus selects up to 3 targets, and spends an action charging up the main cannons. It then fires a Magnum blast that reduces most Network constructs to ashes with a single shot, usually leaving a blast crater where they once stood. It may target empty panels and objects as well as enemies.
Secondary Attack Damage/Effect: 10 Fire x3 Targets + Double Attack
Secondary Attack Accuracy: A
Secondary Attack Description: Fires a 3-shot spread from the left arm cannon, then follows up with an identical attack from the right arm cannon just after. Each cannon shot requires an action, and both attacks must occur one after the other.

Possible Rewards (Per Virus): Magnum1 (Rare), Zenny
Special: Immobile
- Main attack destroys panels, reducing enemy evasion by 1 Rank.
: 120 HP (Right in the middle of the field) (Normal)
ShrimpyShrimpy (Shrimpy)

Shrimpy viruses are able to move between attacks as a free action, however dodging still costs them an action. They must pause movement to attack. Shrimpy viruses may move over fragile panel types without damaging them, such as moving over Cracked panels without breaking them. Shrimpy viruses cannot be forcibly submerged or smashed through fragile panels, even if thrown. They can submerge of their own free will, however.

Battle mode: Extermination! Kill all the viruses to win!
It wasn't' too long before Courser found some likely looking viruses, and true to Sharo's recent mood, he'd barely encountered the small cluster before more mechanical viruses ambushed the scene again. He really had to wonder what the source of this Basher plague was... but at least Wrangler was paying well for keeping it under control.

He took a step forward, sliding off his water current for better footing and felt the light swirl of water and mist rise up around him as he moved to engage. Underneath, he felt the small sliver of something else within him stir. It was there and it was watching, not quite a unified part of his whole yet. Viruses were fodder, or so it seemed to feel, and it wanted to devour them all. It wasn't upsetting anything so far though. He glanced to his side, and let a clone take shape from the snow; the decoy rolled his shoulders and cracked his neck, flashing a grin that was full of sharp teeth.

“Oi... it's a feisty one and no mistake, boss... no worries yet though... ooh, I want that one...” With a smirk, the clone fixated on the Shrimpy, darting towards it with his stance low and arms back. Courser kept one eye on the clone's back and let his own steps slide him gently in the other direction. No point messing around, he was just here to make sure he could fight without the fragment trying to misbehave.

With one smooth motion, Courser slipped both hands into his belt, pulling out a twin pair of silver-worked revolvers and spinning them around his fingers before presenting the weapons in crossed-wrist stance.

“No time for games today, chaps. Dance if you can...” He pulled the triggers in rapid succession alternating shots one after another until both weapons were spent; a war raid of echoing, impactful shots drowned out all other sound in the immediate area for several seconds as he made six shots at the arrayed viruses. When the revolvers were spent, he let the recoil from the last pair of shots spin the guns back and around his hands again as he lifted his arms. The echoes faded as the guns smoked and Courser held them high, looking over the cracked and broken field. He could feel a predatory grin on his features, and his tongue ran across the backs of a zig-zag pattern of teeth. He took a breath, focusing on calm for a brief moment. He whistled once, then slipped the revolvers back into his belt, where they disappeared.

“Clean up time!” At his whistle and call, a pool of dark water bubbled up in the centre of the area, giving rise to his back up needle turret which immediately began to target its barrels on whichever viruses looked halest after Courser's initial shots. It fired its usual series of piercing flechette rounds with little fuss or fanfare while Courser watched the field for resilient targets. In between the work of his turret, he gestured outward, calling up a tall wall of water to crash with freezing finality over any virus that seemed to be particularly slippery.

“Courser.... you're being a bit aggressive. Don't you normally protect yourself a bit more?” In his ear, Jenny's voice was cautious. Not concerned or worried, but alert to possible discrepancies. He nodded and smoothed his features down to a more relaxed grin.

“Yeah, but it's alright, Jen. It's me, don't worry. I just thought, for now, it's okay if these guys rough me up a little in the process... I need to make sure I'm safe. Offence is one thing, but if I have trouble with the new tadpole when I get hurt, or threatened, I nee dot know about that too. I'll probably stop using the defences entirely, if they can't get through them. Just got to be sure. I can take it, don't worry.

As he answered his operator, Courser let his wave whips uncurl fully, then crossed them over his body and flung them high. With in each, a series of tightly pressurised shards formed, creating independent needles of fast-spinning water that tore themselves free of the whips then lanced upwards, over and down to rain over the battlefield in a piercing storm that sought out any remaining viruses.

“Alright, if you're sure. I'm watching you too. We'll sort this out together, one way or another.”
“Glad to hear it. I think I'm doing okay though... I can feel it, but it's not... not a danger, I don't think, at least not for now.” Courser shifted his stance and checked the field to see if anything was still moving enough to need his attention.

The Courser was quick on his draw, sending out his clone and letting his defenses rise, as the Shrimpy initially flinched as the beastly incarnation of Courseman ran right for it for a snack, getting a face full of the shrimp's bubbler attack in the meantime, causing it to disappear from the net for a brief moment. But Courser was quicker on the draw than the other viruses, sending out explosive shots across the field and hitting his first three targets without a second thought, annihilating them from the network and sadly for the other two who sat there, shaking in their proverbial boots as a second salvo was launched, sending the two back to wherever they belonged in the grand scheme of things, ending the fight in a quick kill for the navi and a handful of loot at his feet...as well as another treasure to claim for himself.

Battle 1: ANNIHILATED COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY!

1050z, 17 BF

Open GMD?
Without any need for the excessive destruction, Courser relaxed his stance and glanced about the viral remnants. All good so far, though he hadn't given them any time to respond. He did have to make sure he could take damage without having any bad reactions though. No defences next time, perhaps. And maybe a touch slower.

Weaving through the remnants he approached the data crystal and tapped it without too much extra consideration; even a bad surprise would be useful, all things considered.

(Open GMD: Yes)
Touching the data crystal, Courser would watch the item begin to slowly unfold and with it, a small kunai would be seen within, another day, another chip. At least he didn't get a mimic, if nothing else.

Reward: Kunai1Damage: 30 + Slashing x 3 Kunai + Variable Targeting
Accuracy: B
Description: Summons 3 Kunai to throw at selected targets.
Duration: Once.
Element: Null
Special: Variable Targeting: Allows the user to select a target for each individual hit of an attack. This means they may strike the same target multiple times, multiple different targets, or a mix of the two as they wish.

As the crystal decrypted and delivered its contents, Courser caught it up and sent it away with a flick of one hand.

"Niche one, Jen, set it aside for now. Flexible, but weak - it'll be useful if I can't use my aqua chips again, but outside of that I think it might be trade material." He heard her acknowledgement and stretched once, before kicking off and moving onward through the snow and ice.

((Looking for Battle 2))
Continuing along the network looking about for [s]more prey[/b] more viruses, he was given his battle extremely quickly. Rushing in, the chartreuse arachnid offshoot of the lifevirus' children, a manmade Scuttler- virus quickly roared out, beady eyes staring down Courser as electricity rolled across it's body and formed a quick, weak aura around it's body as it's extremely sharp legs crashed down upon the ice and holes opening up into yawning chasms. From those chasms, however, a familiar roiling darkness slipped up from beneath the networks and slipped between the opened up paneling before settling around mid-field, a cycloptic virus with a hooded head and massive dark blade finally appeared, point leveraged at Courser before cutting through the air.

But like last time, before his battle could begin, the familiar sight of the Basher virus dropped down again with an earth-shaking power, nearly knocking Courseman off his feet, and with it summoned a friend...a simple light-grey box with a powerful fan within as an antenna began to bounce about in every which way began to blow heavily into the field, beginning to push Courseman backwards, even if it wasn't by much. However, even with his weaponry, there was the possibility he'd miss due to the blustery winds, let alone being swept off his feet with how far away it was.

-- Viruses --
NightmareNightmare (Nightmare)

Nightmare viruses only appear in battle when Missing Terrain is present, and only one Nightmare may appear per panel of Missing Terrain. Nightmares do not dodge, and they only move by teleporting before and after attacking an enemy. Nightmares have permanent Shadow, unless they are attacking. Teleporting before and after their attacks does not require an action. They will always end a turn while floating over Missing or Hole Terrain. If the Hole terrain is altered in any way, they will instantly teleport to unoccupied Missing Terrain. Nightmares cannot share ownership of a Missing Panel with other viruses that require Missing Terrain to be on the field. If for any reason there is not enough Missing Terrain to accommodate a Nightmare at the end of a turn, the Nightmare will Escape from the battle immediately.

Scuttler-Scuttler- (Scuttler-)

Scuttler- is an angry looking insectoid creature. Unlike the virus it was designed to be like, it is chartreuse instead of yellow. This metavirus were made in an attempt to recapture the devastating power of the LifeVirus's creations, byte for byte, to the inclusion/exclusion of various aspects of their virus components, such as removing all flight capability, and cranking up their innate aggressiveness. That they were regarded as failures is more an indication of the real things' incredible might than the metaviruses' weakness. They're still extremely vicious, and very much prefer attacking to dodging.

Later versions of this virus may switch between Wind and Fan effects, which requires one action, during which time all wind or fan effects cease. Bonuses and penalties do not stack if multiples of the same virus family exist on the field. Wind and Fan do not push or pull Objects, only creatures.

Area: SciLab, Yoka, Beach, Sharo, Netfrica, Hades Isle

HP: 100
Attack Damage/Effect: Wind Effect, Northwind
Attack Accuracy: S
Attack Description: Causes a large scale gale of wind to blow across the entire field in the direction the virus is facing. This gale will constantly move all targets this virus considers to be enemies in the direction the wind is blowing, which makes it difficult to land many kinds of attacks on it and allied viruses, such as thrown attacks and close ranged attacks. All those affected by the wind will also have their barriers and auras blown off by a constant Northwind effect.
Element: None
Possible Rewards (Per Virus): Wind, Zenny
Special: Causes short ranged attacks, such as (but not limited to) swords, melee attacks, and flame thrower style weapons, to suffer from a 30% accuracy penalty against targets they are being pushed away from. Both sides of the engagement suffer a 30% accuracy penalty with direct attacks perpendicular to the direction of the wind, and all thrown attacks.
Special: Those allied with this virus may opt to take advantage of the wind to increase movement speed or evasion by going with the wind. They do not suffer any penalties, however. Conversely, anyone may move along with the wind to increase accuracy by 10% for close ranged attacks, assuming the target is in that direction.
Special: Northwind effect to all enemies once per virus action while maintaining wind effect.

-- Battle 2 Ready? Start!! --

Battle mode: Elite! Kill the metavirus to win! You may optionally kill the other viruses for their Bugfrags and potential chip rolls.
He'd barely started moving again before another cluster found him; he skidded to a halt as the ice cracked and the ground shook, keeping his bearings. When the derivative life-virus revealed itself, Courser took a short step back and felt his native defences come up by instinct, though he reminded himself not to refresh them unless it was really necessary.

“Same set as before Jen, I'll probably take some scuffs before it's done this time, so don't worry unless our new friend causes trouble.” He turned to one side, weaving slightly and reached out a hand, calling up a well of darkness at the other end of the area, behind the massive meta virus. It rose and solidified into its usual turret-like shape, water cascading off its form, and began to fire immediately – for not it ignored the shadowed entity and focused on the other three viral signatures. Courser glanced across to the encroaching nightmare and winked with a grin.

“Sorry friend, you're not worth the effort today. Best leg it while you can...” Alongside him, a decoy slipped out of his own form, beginning to track to the right with a laugh.

“Yeah, only he ain't got legs, boss! What's a shade to do, eh?” The clone traced wide, making an arc as though to circle the viruses, though for now it seemed to just be positioning itself. Courser only responded with a smirk of his own and a shrug, then in a swift, fluid motion, pulled the pair of revolves from his waist and fanned their chambers. The area was rocked by another serious of concussive echoes that made the field sound more like a bombing raid, just for a few seconds, before the silver-worked weapons were expended and Courser spun them free of their smoke and slipped them back into his belt. As with his turret, the navi had ignored the insubstantial nightmare and focused his fire solely on the other three – there was always a chance that the warping virus might get itself caught in the crossfire, if another target was destroyed early, but Courser himself wasn't counting on it.

A feeling of exultation accompanied the combat rush as he continued to make aggressive moves, more than usual, and Courser tried to keep at least one part of his mind on paying attention to the feeling. It was blood-lust, clear enough, but the new impulse was... manageable.

With the revolvers stowed, Courser shifted his stance to a lower one, turning to face his foes properly as his wave whips uncoiled from his hands and lashed across the ground. Still grinning, he let shards of higher pressure form along the whips, building into controlled darts, then slashed them across his body one at a time, sending the water spikes tearing free and slicing across the field, first at the Basher if it had endured still, and then towards the Scuttler once it was scrap. His body spun as he let the motion move him, but as he circled one and came back to a standing position, the navi extended his left and again, wave whip lifting up and lashing. He made an open grip, then clenched it tightly in the heart of the water, causing the whip to draw into a globe about his hand, as, behind the Scuttler, an answering wave of inky black water lifted up and sought to crash down over it in a freezing torrent.

“Down to the depths with you. Drown in darkness...” His voice growled the words as he slammed his fist downward with the crashing wave. A moment later eh took a breath and stepped back. Careful... Courser shook his head and grippe the air around him with a more gentle motion with his other hand, drawing a refreshing spritz of clear water up and over himself to help shake off the lingering sensation.

Quickly bringing his barrier and casing up, Courser would find the wind rapidly trying to strip him of his barrier, trying to maintain it for as long as he could, before his Needler was brought out and given it's chance to attack, though whilst the needles managed to find purchase in the main target, stripping it's aura and landing a decent blow against the life-virus recreation, it's quartet of needles either missed to either side of it's other intended targets...or were completely blown away by the wind. The Nightmare seemingly took Umbridge with Courser's flippant disregard of the shadowy creature in it's entirety, causing the hooded shadow to swiftly retaliate, getting right up into Courseman's face and swiping widely to his side, slicing a good chunk of his barrier away...and then the winds finished it off, sending the barrier flying off of his body and far, far away from whence he could not recover it in it's present form.

Whilst the Nightmare cackled in viral tongue before returning to it's position, the life-virus derivative began to inhale deeply as Courser shot off his explosive blasts, pinging against the viral recreation and more importantly the Basher itself before it could make it's attack, the last shot went wide and crashed right next to it, seemingly not bothering the automaton in the slightest as it's winds continued to blow right into face. But before he could fire off his second shot, the creature let off a blast of crackling electricity as it flowed across the cracked gap and right in front of Courser, barely missing the navi, but pins and needles stuck to him as glowing luminescent paneling began to form just mere centimeters from his feet. But thankfully for the dandy, his second shots got off before the viruses could move...and again, the Windbox barely evaded absolute destruction while the Meta took another burning brunt of damage. The Nightmare would not take this lying down as it quickly warped in front of Courser again, wide blade swinging through the air like a scythe as it cleaved away the last of Courser's defenses. But as it did, a trio of needles fell from the skies, pelting the Scuttler in heavy ice as it's body quickly disintegrated, full of holes and completely dead at Courser's feet. The other two, quickly realizing their meat tank was dead, immediately beat feet and fled, the Nightmare grabbing the Windbox and disappearing with it as zenny, bugfrags...and the remnants of the virus' aura began to pop up across the field.

All viruses in this family are immobile during combat, with the exception of being able to turn to face any direction it wishes.

: Like a bitch

As the fight drew to a close, Courser took a breath and closed his eyes briefly. The moments when he'd been struck had been brief; just a small incident of the nightmare's blade grazing across his coat. There had been a reaction; the urge to turn and respond, and to focus his attention on the creature, but it had only been a flash, short and sharp, and easily ignored. He nodded to himself and looked up, beginning to gather the spoils. This was okay. The fragment would settle, and before long it would dissolve into the rest of his awareness, and stop being anything 'other', or at least, he was feeling more confident that it would.

"One more, Jen, then I'll call it, okay? I think we're safe." He glanced about then kicked off in a new direction.
"Alright, one more. What do you want me to do with this new aura chip?" Courser frowned as he moved on, keeping his eyes open for threats.
"Set it aside for now. It would be nice it it was stronger, but I don't think we'll find anything more potent than that in these parts." He nodded again in answer to her quick affirmative and the pair sought out one more skirmish just to make sure.

((Ready for Battle 3))
Continuing along in the frigid hellscape that Sharo's network was, Courser would soon come across a peculiar landscape, a trio of squares that overlapped across one another with a rock to his left, freshly fallen snow in the middle of the three squares and a single patch with a rock in the middle of the field. Before he could move about, however, a blue slime with a smiling face poked it's head out from behind the rock...a glittering golden crown atop it's slimey head. Letting out a cry, the virus called out for it's fellow helpers in crime, up from the snow came an icy blue swordy with a blade of sharp water and making it's move behind the monarch slimey. A Gigas dropping from the skies towards the middle of the field, seemingly flanking the monarch virus. A head in a blue bubble floating across the field in the rough middle of it. And finally, his quarry, the ever familiar Basher cocking it's weapons and pointing them at Courser. God save the queen and all that, right?

Queen SlimeySlimey (Slimey)

Slimey viruses were produced to be sources of major traffic lag. While a Slimey virus is on the battlefield, all Navis and SPs suffer from a passive Slow-like effect that imposes a -10% Evasion AND Movement Speed penalty. This effect is not a status ailment, and cannot be cured. This effect does not stack with itself if more than one Slimey is on the field at once. As this does not count as a true Slow effect, up to two instances of Slow may stack on top of this effect for a total penalty of -30% Evasion/Movement Speed. This effect expires when all Slimey viruses on the field are deleted or flee. Slimey viruses are very slow to move and dodge, but every move they make that is not a dodge counts as an attack. Slimeys deal damage by touching an opponent, thus touching a Slimey directly results in damage to any non-Slimey the virus considers hostile.

GigasGigas (Gigas)

The Gigas are a clan of 8 foot tall viruses whose semi-humanoid bodies are made of a durable metal alloy. Gigas lack legs, and instead roll around on a 3 ton solid steel ball 2-feet in diameter that rests in a cupola. Rising from the top of the cupola is an alloy pillar that supports their metal bodies. The Gigas fight with their huge iron fists, which are provided their immese striking power by large barrel-like forearms. Their great-helm-like heads sit directly atop their shoulders with their blocky hinged jaw slanted in a sneer while their neon-red eyes radiate their hatred of all things Navigator. It is speculated that Gigas are a hacked derivative of the Bladia viruses spliced together with fragments of other viruses and a healthy dose of battlechip program data. This would account for their size, strength, and malicious nature. Where and how this was possibly accomplished is unknown. Gigas move at increased speed, but dodge at a slower than average rate. Gigas viruses prefer to pummel the life out of their foes with their bare hands (even though using the ball-and-chain in melee range would be more devastating), but if they find themselves surrounded or at a great distance to their target, they will use the ball-and-chain to perform a HammerToss. If an object blocks their path, they will either send it flying with a GigasArm attack, or smash it to dust before continuing on. Gigas will sink like the lead weights they are in liquid, and they know it. They will avoid liquid terrain entirely, if possible, and will never appear near these types of naturally occuring terrain for this reason. Only a Gigas' body is damageable. Striking a Gigas' cast iron arms will not damage the virus or the arms themselves, no matter what you hit them with. The Gigas' will not intentionally defend themselves with their arms, as they should be too busy pummeling or hurling something to bother. Do not abuse this.

Assassinate! Kill the King queen! Viruses will protect her at all costs! If the other viruses die, the respawn with 20% less HP, to a max of 5 respawns! You gain Bugfrags for each kill of the respawns, but killing the queen ends the battle immediately!
The initial sight of the grinning crowned virus gave Courser a moment's pause, but as he debated the best course of action an increasing number of mechanical and violent 'troops' showed up with readied weapons and he jumped back a half step, crouching and uncoiling his whips in response.

“Oh aye? That's how it is then? Sorry... no trampling the proletariat today, lady...” he glanced to the readied enemies then moved, rising from his crouch into a forward step that flung one wave whip in a wide arc, and a second step that brought the other one out and around on the other side. As his did, a scattering of watery pellets broke free and joined a suddenly appearing scatter hail of illusory water darts that cross-fired the area. The real shots were aimed at the nearby viruses, though Courser sent several of them to batter down the hiding crown's rocky cover as well, unable to get a clear sight on the actual virus.

As the horizontal rain storm subsided, Courser drew back, flicking a 'v' at the queen with his left hand along with a smirk. Behind the field, in response to the gesture, another mechanical turret rose from dark waters – though this one was on Courser's side, and set about peppering the Slimey, as well as he two mechanical defenders, with its piercing darts.

Courser stood in the open, flicking the water from his hands and flaring his coat for a moment, then reached into his belt and drew the pair of intricately silver-worked revolvers. He presented them to the facing viruses with a toothy grin.

“Come on then. Come and have a go, if you think you're hard enough!” He called out, then began pulling the triggers, covering the battlefield in a series of concussive echoes that drowned out any thought of reply. His shots spread across the main targets, focusing on the Basher and the Gigas, as well as the Slimey herself, but switching out to the less important viruses if he ran out of targets before the end. When the echoes rumbled away, Courser spun them over his fingers, then slipped them back into his belt. His hands drew away from the weapons carefully, though, pulling the heat from their barrels and gathering it up in both hands. A moment to stabilise it, then he threw both hands out, open palm, to release the residual heat energy in a straight shot towards the centre of the area; if the queen remained, then she was the target, but else-wise the blast would likely detonate in the middle of the rubble-strew area and send lances of heat and fire out in every direction, seeking to finish off any stragglers.

He shook his hands out and gestured low, dragging up a chilled sheet of water to crash over himself and cool off his mounting blood-lust; he'd avoided taking any defensive action during this attack, aiming to simply wear whatever counter strikes his foes managed to get off, and now focused on how his new fragment of power responded to the harm as he healed himself.

Quickly bringing up a hail of watery death upon the viruses, multiple hits pelting the viruses as ice began to clung at each and every one of them. Even as a few hits missed, it was enough for the time being, the main purpose of the attack done with some luck in Courser's favor, even as the queen just...wobbled in place, a concerned look on it's face as it began to make it's move towards the navi, hopping forward heavily and leaving behind a smooth film of slime behind as it's knight warped up towards Courseman, swinging it's watery sword in a wide slash...but just barely missing in it's entirety as it warped back into place with a huff.

At that point, Courser summoned his trusty turret up and sent it to cause some destruction, needles finding purchase in the Basher's body twice and causing it to fall over in a crumpled heap, while only one of the two shots made their way inside the Slimey and Gigas. Gigas smacking it's palms against the ice as it tried to get itself to fire off an attack, but failing that, was quickly met with doom as it, the queen and the Megalian were quickly vaporized under the power of SUPERIOR EXPLOSIVE FIREPOWER, leaving little more than scarred holes in the ground where their bodies had been, the Swordy-A immediately thrusting it's sword through it's torso in despair...only to find itself still alive before fleeing the scene and leaving the spoils to Courser's free hands...as well as copious amounts of slime...

Special: HardCase: Damage is reduced by half until hit with a Break attack, at which time this effect is nullified and they take standard damage. Break does not deal extra damage.
Special: Burial: Opponents struck by this effect are forcibly buried in soft terrain types (Mud, Sand, Snow) or submerged in liquid terrain types. Otherwise, the panel is cracked. If the panel is fragile, it becomes broken, and the target falls into the hole. This effect doesn't work if the target is standing on Metal Terrain.

Megalian-AMegalian-A (Megalian-A)

All Megalian-A viruses are equipped with Omnishoes, and fight from the air. This virus type will spend an Action Dodging, and then Attack the following Action. If there are more than one Megalian (family does not matter) the viruses will work together, alternating their attack Actions or attacking as a group (mod's discretion).

Courser rolled his shoulders and dusted off his coat, then reached out to draw the lingering data gel up to his hand and manipulated it for a few moments, weaving it around his fingers and splitting it before letting it dissolve into his wave whips and flicking it free again experimentally. The viscosity was a little unusual, but it felt comfortable enough elsewise and he nodded.

"Alright Jen, I think I"m done here. I can feel the changes alright, but I'm pretty sure I've got it under control, at least as well as the rest of me."
"For whatever that's worth..." a second voice chuckled from just behind him, and Courser made a gesture, banishing the clone.
"It's not going to cause problems just at base at leas,t and that's enough for now. It's about time you were getting home, I think. One more stop at the navi shop as we go, and that'll be it for the day." A few moments later, he heard Jenny noisily draining whatever it was she was drinking now.

"Alright, ready to come out then?" At his affirmative, a pool of blackness spread out beneath him, and his form melted into dark water and shadows.
