Grand Unveiling!

"Holy crap!" Ayumi screamed as she ducked behind a table. "They're already firing!? That guy wasn't even here when this started, was he? This doesn't make any sense."

She tried yelling for Leon, but he didn't seem to be answering. Maybe he was off getting another tea or something.
Winter reached a clear area in the square, off to the side, yet offering a very good view of the events unfolding before her. She took a few seconds to scan the scene, taking it all in, while formulating a plan... suddenly it came to her That's it! She began speaking to Jared with a calm and cool tone "Jared, get ready to send me some chip data..."

Jared chimed in, sounding VERY alarmed: "Battle Chip Data?!" He paused a moment and continued speakng more calmly "Winter... This is a Net Square full of--" only to be interrupted by Winter once more "--Jared, listen to me for a moment. The enemy is invisible and killing cops before our eyes. I've narrowed his or their position down. I'm going to reveal them to the rest of the Police and other gathered Navis to be quickly dealt with."

"How?"

"I'm going to make it snow... I need you to send me as many shot-type chips as you have and something to cut with." She began to move behind a conveniently empty booth so no-one would see what she was about to do... You can't hide in the elements... She began to chant a spell....
Voltman woke up, and saw the situation. The police navis were all attacking the newcomer, and they were being joined by the other navis. Meanwhile, RIGHT BEHIND THE NETPOLICE'S BACK, navis were dropping like flies! Something had to be done!
He dropped from the cart, and ran over to below Tenshin.
Stop!
He saw Cyber firing his cannon, and without hesitation jumped in front of the shot. He got blasted backwards, but his recent HP upgrades compensated. He had just as much HP as everyone else. Even so, the action made its point. He lied on the ground, data leaking from a hole in his chest, but even as the crowd watched he got up.
This navi isn't the problem! Look behind you! The other navis are in pain, and more and more are dropping, but you're focusing on a navi who is obviously standing right in front of you, trying to talk you out of vaporizing him for something he didn't do! Think, people! LOOK, people! THINK!!! THIS ISN'T LOGICAL!
He stood there, and motioned to the wound on his chest with one of his stubby arms.
See this? I took the hit for him. And I'll take as many as I have to to make you people realize the truth!!!
He glared at the crowd. Did they not see what was going on?!?
Soulman stood in front of the table Ayumi had taken cover behind, taking a lax stance, "Well, things certainly are getting interesting. Perhaps we should have went off somewhere, just the two of us, instead of coming to a crowded place like this. You wanted to realx, after all." He sighed. This was not exactly what at he in mind when he asked her out. Of course, it was a perfect chance to show off his skills. He brought a screen up in front of him and pressed a few things on it before it disappeared, "Well, this should get my operator's attention. No point in fighting if we don't have to, but if we do, better to have back up." He shifted his stance to a defensive one and then glanced over his shoulder, "Okay, Ayumi, I'll guard us from the front, you get the back. Remember, don't attack unless someone attacks you. With all these navies around, it's too difficult to distinguish between friend and foe. If you start to feel sick, just let me know. I'll make sure we're both able to escape."
Ayumi peeked over the table in time to see the child get blasted by the cannon. "What the hell! That really peevs me..." she said, her face getting grimmer. "I have half a mind to go and smash that older navi's head in with my hammer..."

Not so spooked now, she hopped back over the table. "Sorry about that, haha! Just caught me off guard, is all!" She laughed few a few seconds nervously, before switching back to her angrier mood. "I think I might have to hurt someone soon at this rate..." She turned and took watch in the opposite direction of Soulman. "I don't know if he's completely trustworthy... but he's the closest thing to an ally I have right now," she thought to herself. "I just hope he can walk the walk..."
"What the,"yelled Cyber,"my cannon wasn't supossed to hit him,"said Cyber as he hand turned back to normal...
Tenshi saw the cannon but was too slow to react as it was fired, the child-like navi took the hit and Tenshi grimaced. Damn... getting too old for this shit! "Dammit! You alright?" Seeing the navi get back up he sighed. "That was too close Tenshi, I'm getting you out of" "No" Tenshi swung back his sword before sighing "I had hoped not to do this... let the wind of judgement find the foe here" Swinging the blade a wide blast of wind burst out, not enough to blow away merely to show any person who was giving air resistence away.

(CRAPPY I KNOW! BUT GOD DAMMIT! I'm in a hurry)
Ozho, after seeing the navis fall and hearing the voice, now has a grin on his face. He has an Idea of what might be going on, and now knows why the police are there. He says, in a serious voice, "This chaos is great for masking escapes, because it will mostliky esclate, and people will get the villians worng. What ever they want, it must be important for them to do this." Ozho then gets up, and starts to walk slowly while seeing all of the chaos caused from more people coming in. when we walks past ayumi, he goes in a agrovated voice "Shit, all thats doing is fueling the chaos, mind as well use this as cover to see what was taken." He then walks right into the chaos heading to where the falen navis are.
"I'm here! How many of you are NPCs?" Seraphim asked, making a dashing smile. He needed a party to get more spells, and then he would aqquire more abilities. Perhaps even a job extension.

" Would anyone like to join my part-" He halted as he watched the chaos tentatively, then considered running away. Was it this what other NPCs did?
(darn I have to go...bye)
Voltman shook his head, as the burst of wind flew past him.
Stop it! I didn't just mean them! Don't... fight?
As the wind flew, something strange happened. Something appeared to stop the wind. He turned to Tenshi.
Do it again! If you can, keep a steady wind going!
He turned to his op.
Shigeru! Do a scan on the virtual air! Anything that stops the air, track it! Mark it, if you can!
Voltman stood on a nearby table, calling out to the crowd.
There is another enemy here! This navi... he gestured towards Tenshi ...is not responsible for this! He is, however, trying to find the real culprit! Which is more than I can say for people like YOU. He finished, gesturing towards the Netpolice and Cyber.
[color=orange]If we work together, we might be able to catch the REAL person who's doing this!
He turned towards the NetPolice navis.
You all! Seal the exits! We don't want this person getting away with whatever he's trying to steal!
he turned to the rest of the navis.
Any wind or cursor type navis! We need your assistance! Wind types, create a wind blowing towards the stage from the opposite side of the room! Cursor types, scan for any anomalies in the wind, and lock onto them! Fire shots at where you think the disturbance might be! We have a real chance of finding this creep! If someone gets a hit, lock onto the disturbance as soon as you hit, and don't lose it! Anyone with paralyzing capabilities, when the cursor types have a lock, fire at the located enemy! We're going for incapacitaded, not dead! Keep that in mind!
He stopped talking, grabbed a quick bite of unfinished pie from the table he was on, and turned back to see the navis standing there.
What are you waiting for? GO!
Tightening his gloves, Stringer steps up for Voltman's plan. "Paralyzing, eh?" chuckled Stringer as he flicked some threads from his gloves. "Just tell me where the guy is, and I'll have him tied up before you know it."
"Prepping battle chips." said a voice from above Soulman.

"Good." He smiled, "Okay, my back up has finally arrived. Is your netop around, Ayumi? Oh, nice hammer by the way. Well, if close range is your specialty, my abilities should even us out nicely." His hands began to glow, "Well, I'm preparing my attack. When things start to heat up a bit more, I'll be ready."

((Note: Souman's charging an attack.))
"Well, that little kid certainly knows how to handle a crisis..." Ayumi said with a hint of admiration. "Or maybe it's his op. Either way, kudos."

She walked back towards the onsen link, turning to face the crowds as she summoned Mjollnir. "I guess it's time to see how well I stack up against other Navis..." she said with a less than happy tone in her voice. "Hopefully I'm not so far outdated that I'm not useless..."

She tightened her grip on Mjollnir, spreading her feet shoulder width apart as she placed one several inches ahead of the other. She looked out on the group of navis, rather angry with the two who had begun fighting and caught the child in the crossfire.
Ozho hears this child's speach, and he agrees with the fact that the real villains must be stoped. He then takes off his hood and shouts out "He has a point, stop fighting each other and fueling the chaos while the real culprit gets away, but enstead start trying to keep him from getting away. Also, any recovering types, get off your butts and start healing the wounded." With that said, he keeps walking to the fallen navis.
As Winter reached what she judged to be a good place to enact her plan without interference, Jared let her know "I've sent you a Cannon, 2 Shotguns, a Heatshot, and a Sword." With this, Winter activated all 5 Chips, summoning a combat auto-shotgun and 4 shells to her hands, and a sword, in its sheath, to her side. Winter loads the shotgun, takes stock of the situation one more time.... Then she saw other Navis creating a large gust of wind... Perfect! I'll use that to drive the snow at them that much faster...

Winter cast Crystal Spire between the Navis and the probable location of the intruder... Ice shot forth, spreading across the Square, directed by Winter's mind. Suddenly, an enormous spire of ice erupted from the ground exactly where she wanted it... She took aim with her weapon at the newly created pillar, fired, and shattered it with a Cannon Shot causing snow and ice to fall all across the square...

The only thing left to do was to watch for signs of their invisible foe using the snow as a reference...
Voltman nodded in approval as a navi attempted to blanket the hidden opponent in snow, while the other suggested a good use for the recovery navis. He repeated the command, careful to note that it was the other navi's idea (he didn't want the credit). As he looked around, more and more navis dropped to the ground in pain. There were too many. This freak had to be stopped. He took a count of the present navis standing there...
The flying navi, the now unhooded navi, the snow navi, the monkey navi, Soulman and his girlfriend, the navi who could also paralyze the foe, Moonlight, the singer navi, the navi who was causing trouble earlier, the big navi talking to the navi who wouldn't eat pie, the freak asking about NPC's, and countless confused NetPolice navis.
Hoo, boy.

(I'm not counting everyone. Just everyone Voltman met. And I put Moonlight's name because Volt knows it. This IS from his point of view.
Also, PWFM has a point. Recov navis, attempt to heal the navis in pain. Voltman, if you want to.)
"Snow! Ice! I despise these things!" MeleeMan growled, keeping his arms crossed as a spread of the stuff buffetted him. "Who's doing that? Cut it out if you want to keep the functionality of both of your arms!"

"I think... somebody's using it as part of a tactic. They're trying to lure out the perpetrator," Rania theorized.

"I don't care what they're doing. Nobody is going to extinguish the flames of my warrior's spirit just to catch some thief, damn it!" the navi roared in response, looking hatefully in Winter's direction. He seemed to be losing his senses, Rania thought.

"M-MeleeMan. We can't start any extra fights, alright?" Rania pleaded. "We've got enough trouble as it is!"

"Life is one big fight, Rania. I'm not starting anything, the way I see it!" he murmered, keeping his teeth clenched tightly as his eyes scanned the crowd behind their thick steel plate. He suddenly looked down to Rass, his mouth frozen in a menacing snarl. "Did you see who launched that attack?"
Rass whimpered, glancing nervously from the fierce melee that threatened to ensue to Meleeman, who looked like he was going to pound anything and everything in sight. The intimidating navi's words continued to haunt him. In a street fight, it doesn't matter who your opponent is... and you can never tell who you're pounding once you've entered the fray.

"Rass? Rass?! What's going on in there?!"

Suien! thought Rass happily, restoring communications with his netOp, "I d-don't know what's going on! All of a s-sudden, some of th-the officials started d-dropping and n-now people are s-shooting and... and..." The pink-and-black navi seemed on the verge of absolute terror as he stuttered his way through a description.

"All right, calm down, Rass," replied Suien, removing the three battlechips he possessed from their protective case and placing them on the teacher's desk, "Do you have visual confirmation of the culprit?"

Rass nervously glanced around, his orange scarf fluttering with his panicked motions, "I... I can't tell!" he whimpered as a spire of ice exploded upward near his location, "I...I just know th-that it's r-really confusing here and I don't think..."

"Rass, just calm down!" shouted Suien, loudly enough to startle the pink navi out of his panic, "Don't do anything stupid that'll add to the confusion. There are a lot of navis here, and the last thing we need is more idiots firing off their busters like maniacs. Just keep your eyes open and stay on your toes. Call up Tem and Argo for support if..."

"No!" yelled Rass, "Not Argo! Argo'll just..."

"Fine, fine," replied Suien, brushing his thick hair to the side as he grasped the cannon chip and prepared to slot it in, "Call Tem for support if you find yourself in a bad situation. Just relax, and stick next to people you can trust!"

Rass sighed and nervously glanced around, warily looking at Meleeman through the corner of his eye. People I can trust? he thought, Oh son of a motherboard, I'm screwed...

"Also, any recovering types, get off your butts and start healing the wounded!"

"Wait wha?" began Rass, who proceded to look down at his hands, "Oh... I guess that means me, huh?" Dashing over to one of the writhing navis on the ground he held his hands out in preparation to channel the restoration energies stored within his command matrix. One of the perks of being a fusion navi was the ability to restore one's own data as the different systems whirled around inside of it. While he had never tried this on another navi, however, Rass knew the principle was similar. A soft pink glow radiated from his hands as it washed over the fallen navi, reconstructing the damaged data as it went...
Voltman turned to Meleeman.
You! No fighting yet! You'll have someone to beat the crap out of when we catch this theif!
