May want to at least look into what the location will have to offer in the way of lab computers. Could help to determine what software to brush up on.
They'll also need artists and writers, so don't count yourself out if you simply can't code.

+--Throws--+
Initial Grab: Thrusts fork forward and captures opponent wedged between prongs. (around neck for large opponents, shoulders for medium to small)
Forward Throw: Yanks fork-held opponent towards himself and plants a boot into their midsection, ejecting them from between the prongs.
Backward Throw: Over the shoulder, fork-driven, piledriver. Opponent bounces free after striking ground.
Upward Throw: Whirls fork & held opponent around himself dragging them along the ground and finally flings them from the fork straight upwards.
Downward Throw: Slams fork ends into ground beside him, oppponent strikes the ground. Pins opponent beneath his boot while removing fork from opponent. Ends throw with launching opponent forward with fork "croquet-style".
Held Attack: Strikes between prongs with fist causing damaging vibrations to opponent.
+--Smashes--+
Up Smash: Flip-tosses his fork above his head, catching it upon return. Charge increases height of toss.
Down Smash: Slams fork into ground beside himself releasing jets of dust and ground particles on both sides.
Air + Down Smash: Straight downward thrust of fork. Increased downward speed. (cannot be charged)
Side Smash: Launches up to five short bursts of sound directly in front of himself.
Final Smash: "Threshold of Pain" Resonance places his fork on his backside and spins it around, the speakers on his shoulders grow to massive size. A large sound blast is launched out of the speakers, sending any in the direct path flying while others who glance the blow are left stunned from the deafening sound. Resonance experiences a severe recoil, but is the first to recover from the incredible blast. (Though those knocked off before hand will have the advantage for vengence kills.)
Granted that this more technical in its description, I hope everyone gets the idea.

Had a Fire Elementalist with a Rod of Destruction on the first floor.
That was a sweet item.
Just wish it'd had charged faster.

RE: Supah, SMAAAAAAAASH Brothuuuuurs!
It really depends on the store people. Check with your local Gamestop. Mine is holding it on the 8th at 9PM for example. In fact...
Double check with your store. They should be having it a few hours prior to the release.
And fear the wrath of Pit and Olimar.

Quote ("Gamestop tournament rules website")
To enter Round 1 of the Tournament, visit a participating GameStop location on March 8, 2008. To obtain the address of the participating locations nearest to you, visit www.gamestop.com/smash. All Contestants must check-in with the onsite GTD at least thirty (30) minutes prior to the start of play. Contestants who are not checked-in at least thirty (30) minutes prior to play may be eliminated from the Contest in the GTD's sole discretion. On the day of Round 1, complete an official participation form, or if you are a minor (defined as under 19 years of age in Alabama and Nebraska, under 21 in Mississippi and under 18 years of age in all other states and the District of Columbia), a parent or legal guardian will be required to complete and sign the official form. After the form is signed, give the official form to the GameStop tournament representative who will call your name when it is your time to compete in Round 1. When your name is called, you will be given one (1) opportunity to compete against another Contestant at that location. Each Round 1 Contestant will be paired with another Round 1 Contestant in a one (1) minute match until one (1) Contestant is eliminated. The winner of each Round 1 match will then compete against another winner until only one (1) Round 1 Contestant has survived the elimination matches. The surviving Round 1 winner at each participating GameStop location will be declared the District Winner and will have the opportunity to compete in Round 2 of the Tournament.
All Store Winners will be determined on March 8, 2008 and will be responsible for getting to the one of 274 District locations where Round 2 of the Tournament will take place. If you are a minor, please consult with your parent or legal guardian before traveling to the location for Round 2. GameStop, Inc. (the "Sponsor") is not responsible for any expense the winner or his/her parent (or legal guardian) incurs while traveling to the location of Round 2. The Sponsor will not reimburse any travel expenses to a Store Winner or his or her parent (or legal guardian).
Double check with your store. They should be having it a few hours prior to the release.
And fear the wrath of Pit and Olimar.
RE: Supah, SMAAAAAAAASH Brothuuuuurs!
According to my local Gamestop:
Controllers to be used for the tourney will be remote and nunchuck style.
1v1, 1 life, 1 minute tournament play battle.
Supposedly a fresh start game, so there will be no hidden characters playable.
The Battlefield will be the stage to be used.
I think that was all they left off the site when I last checked. Anything else?

RE: Dungeon Crawl
How in the world are you supposed to survive the Orc mines? I played tag with 'em at the entrance and they still slaughtered me (after killing off about 20 or so of em).

RE: Dungeon Crawl
This game is F@%#ing difficult, but is it ever fun. Biggest thing to make me go WTF thus far has been walking down to the third floor and getting slaughtered by a steam dragon that was just out of sight. I still haven't seen how anyone should be able to survive that at that level.

RE: The Road goes ever on and on
"I understand that all too well. Get cooped up in the workshop for too long and the light of day feels like a foreign thing. Always best to take a break at those times and get some fresh air."
Kurt folded his arms across his chest and leaned against a nearby lamp post. The laughter that he had been holding in at first had subsided and he was no longer biting his lip shut, but the smile still remained. However this didn't last long as a clattering bell sounded from his PET. He sighed slightly as lifted it up to read the message on the screen.
"However those breaks never seem to last long enough. Terribly sorry to bother you and run like this, but work calls."
Kurt smiled once more quickly, before spinning about on his heel and hurrying back out of the park the way he came in.

RE: Game Quickrate
Suikoden II 9/10
Best of the Suikoden series with some of the most memorable characters, but still has plenty of useless ones. Storyline is the best of all of them. Gets 10/10 if you have Suikoden 1 save data.
Tales of the Abyss 9/10
The battle system corrects everything that should have been corrected for Symphonia, but the story isn't as good. There seems to be a trend with characters named Luke being very whiny. The rest of the characters rock (though my GF has this extreme obsession with calling Guy gay, due to his fear of women and being voiced by a former Power Ranger). Still in second playthrough so it may get 10/10 on later review.
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
(Haven't played it so passed to the next person)

RE: The Road goes ever on and on
Kurt, realizing that his glance had been met with a smile, returned one in favor. But the small grin quickly grew into a much larger one as the amusing scene began to form. He nibbled on his upper lip with a faint quiver in his best attempts to burst out in laughter. It looked like a well-rehearsed comedy routine with one poking the other in feeble attempts to get some attention, while the other was completely oblivious to the situation.
Maybe they're actors working on a scene... Or maybe they're just goofing around. Certainly catching quite a bit of attention, acting like that.
Perhaps I should try and get the lady's attention. Lend a hand before things get even more foolish.
Kurt stood up from the bench and inhaled deeply, doing his best to compose himself. Walking directly over to the two, he spoke, trying in vain not to offend anyone by laughing.
"Excuse me. I don't believe I've seen you two ladies here before. Are you from out of town or did you just move to the area?"

RE: The Road goes ever on and on
Can't get much better weather than this. Much nicer than being cooped up in my stuffy office fixing what's been broken and breaking what I've already fixed.
Kurt was lost in his idle thoughts as he crossed the street leisurely strolling towards ACDC park. After taking a few steps through the entrance of the park, he took in a deep breath of fresh air and closed his eyes, letting his head tilt back a little to fully appreciate the sunshine. Exhaling deeply through his nose, he lowered his head, his eyes sweeping across the park for a place to sit and better enjoy the scenery. Blinking heavily, the two nearly identical young ladies caught his eye, one laying in the other's lap, on a nearby park bench. The sight caught him by surprise slightly as he let a thought slip out of his mouth.
"Must've been working in there too long. I'm starting to see double."

RE: Harmonics: Sound Equipment and Repairs
Kurt gently reattached the rear panel of the PET with a *click*. Although the damage was not nearly as much as he had feared, it still took quite a bit longer to perform the necessary repairs. Kurt wiped his brow with the back of his sleeve, glad to be finished. Shoving aside some disassembled speaker parts from aside his desk, he returned his PET toolkit to its normal resting place. Kurt nudged the PET's power switch back to the on position.
A lone monitor was aglow in the far corner of the room connected to a small workstation. Within moments of the PET booting up, a message popped up upon the monitor followed by a small chime. Without bothering to even glance at the monitor, Kurt picked up a small antenna and walked over to the workstation. Reaching around to the backside of the workstation, he attached the antenna to a wireless card. Almost immediately another chime sounded, this time from the PET, followed by a familiar tinny voice.
"It's good to be back home."
"Repairs took longer than I had originally thought, but I fixed everything up, good as new. Also left you a little update to your Harmonic Barrier System. Your reaction time seemed a little slow while it was up last time so I made some adjustments. Should make things a little more streamlined."
A small soundbyte not too dissimliar to a hammer pounding on steel played for the next couple of minutes as Resonance updated his defense systems. Kurt simply tuned out the sounds and waited for Resonance to finish
"I don't feel much of a difference."
"You'll notice a difference when you're up against some nastier viruses. But for now, why don't you head over to the NetSquare for a little. I need a bit of a break and feel like heading out to the park for some fresh air."
"Sounds like a plan."
And with a slight tilt of the PET, the tinny voiced navi was sent into the net off to net square and Kurt headed out the door off towards ACDC park.

RE: Random Chat (NEW!!!) V.1
I like all these quotes:
"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing. If you can fake that, you've got it made."
"Women should be obscene and not heard."
"She got her looks from her father. He's a plastic surgeon."
"Man does not control his own fate. The women in his life do that for him."
"I've had a perfectly wonderful evening. But this wasn't it."
"I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception."
"Humor is reason gone mad."
"Behind every successful man is a woman, behind her is his wife."
"A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five."
"A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere."
"Quote me as saying I was mis-quoted."
"Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read."
