    RE: SECRET SANTA: 20XX (2019)
Oh my. The holidays have simply snuck past me once again. Asides from this kind endeavor, I shall have to remind myself to surprise Luna with something nice.

    RE: Solar-Powered Virus Busting!

"IceCube?" Juno spoke out loud to herself as she examined the chip data. What an odd place to find it, but it certainly was welcome. An Aqua chip not weak to electricity, especially in this area, was a decent find. Before she could comment more, however, she quickly began to notice just how loud the echoing sound from the little guy's antics was. As soon as she saw movement, her eyes narrowed immediately. This wasn't good. If this was how virus-infested the normal nets were, how bad were the less protected nets? She didn't think she wanted to know.

Before she knew it, two tank-like Viruses revealed themselves, as well as a hovering magnet-like one that she didn't know the name of either. A blast of electricity behind her revealed a scarecrow one, seemingly stuck in the ground, but no less threatening. Even the Metool was hiding, ducking down with his helmet to protect himself. This... wasn't going to be good. Immediately preparing herself for combat, Juno shouted out. "Lunaaaa?"

"I'm on it, I'm on it! Just get the two of you out of there safely!" She loaded up the ZapRing1 chip immediately for Juno. Her arm once again forming that electric ring inside her blaster. "Take out that magnet one! He looks like he'd be trouble!" After all, if those magnets worked, then she could be pinned down by them and be demolished by the tanks!

"On it!" Juno quickly and immediately blasted the ZapRing at the Magtect, hopeful that the metal ground beneath it would amplify the effects of its damage. With the hope that a single extra buster shot would put it down for good, Juno fired a solar-powered laser from her buster, only to immediately turn around.

"Come on little buddy, let's get out of here!" She'd shout to the metool guarding, determined to keep the viruses attention until he could flee with her as well. She couldn't exactly expect him to hurt other viruses, right? Kicking down onto the ground hard, she'd attempt to dash back as far as she could, keeping low to the ground to hopefully move around any returned fire from any of the viruses.

"Luna! Give me something to shred this Scarecrow!" Juno suddenly shouted as she approached them, hoping that she had enough time to dodge any attack from the seemingly stationary foe. With her operator loading the DrillArm1 chip, Juno's entire left arm transformed into the powerful drill. Leaning down and practically leaping forwards with the drill arm, Juno attempted to pierce right through it, hopefully deleting it in the process. Whether or not it was destroyed, the Navi would quickly attempt to leap away and roll behind the downed dirigible.

"Hey!" Juno shouted, peeking her head up over the makeshift cover to try and draw the attention of the tank-like viruses away from crushing her little friend. "I'm over here, come and get me!" Even as she spoke, she was quickly attempting to pour energy from her pack into her buster arm, charging it up just in case. She knew their amount of chips was pretty low, but hopefully they could survive and make it out of here if they couldn't put down all these uglies.

    RE: Solar-Powered Virus Busting!

"Look at you! Getting better with every fight! You didn't even take a scratch that battle!" Luna spoke excitedly, grinning ear to ear in pride over her Navi's accomplishments. Perhaps they weren't the best of virus-busting pairs out there, but they were doing great so far, and that was enough for now.

"Actually... yeah! Come to think of it, yeah! Using my ship as a shield was perhaps the best thing I could have ever thought of!" At the mention of the Atlas, it faded away once more. "I mean, I can always bring back the ship even when it shatters, so I don't see why I shouldn't be doing it all the time, honestly!"

She paused suddenly, slowly looking around the field as her eyes quickly drifted between the shiny green mystery data in the distance, as well as the adorable Metool running off. "Uhh..." Her eyes drifted back and forth between them over and over again, unsure what to do for a brief moment. "H-hey! Wait up little guy!" Running over, she quickly grabbed the mystery data into her hands, dashing after the little guy. His tiny legs couldn't bring him too far away too fast, could it?

"H-hey! You! Buddy, wait!" She spoke, hopefully catching up with him and trying to get his attention. As soon as she did so, Juno would pause to catch her breath. "You... Look. I uh, I think I get it. You we're supposed to be there for my first fight, huh? You were running after me? That's..." She let out a quiet sigh, unable to stop from smiling a tiny bit. "Honestly, kind of endearing. In a strange sort of, aggressive intent to destroy me, sort of way." Even as she spoke, she motioned towards the sign he was carrying. "You... made that sign, didn't you? Goodness, you really are too cute, you know that? You put in so much effort, huh?" And with that, a quiet giggle escaped her lips. "You know... I uh, don't actually know if you can even understand me, now that I think about it. But do you uh... Maybe want to watch me bust some other viruses? Since you weren't there for my first battle? ...Wait, is that wrong? Somehow?"

Luna could only offer a shrug. It wasn't as if she knew any better.

"... Well uh, at the very least, don't run away! I mean, if you want, I can help lead you back to the homepage if you want!"

"What?" Luna exclaimed out almost immediately. "You're just, inviting viruses onto my computer?" She was kind of in shock, but all it took was that sweet pleading expression from Juno and another look at the sign to convince her, even if she wasn't entirely happy with it. "... Okay. Fine. But you better make sure he stays away from anything important."

"Yes!" The curious navi exclaimed, delighted to learn more about this adorable creature, despite the fact they were aggressive viruses, to begin with. Perhaps some research in the future might be good to figure out! "You hear that little guy?" She'd kneel down, attempting to gently pat the top of his signature helmet. "Let's take you home, huh?"

Hoping the virus agreed to the rather odd request in general, her eyes drifted up to the intriguing tower in the distance, only to wave her hand dismissively. She could always come back later, perhaps. However, her priorities were set. Escort this beautiful little guy through the net and back home, while making sure no one else hurt them... Oh, that might be the hard part.

"Oh, uh. One second." Juno finally put the mystery data down, eyeing it carefully. "Let me just decrypt this and we can get on our way, okay?" Her eyes would glance down at the virus, trying to get him to understand before working on it.

((Battle start! Decrypting the GMD, and hopefully leading the Metool out of the main net and back onto her homepage, likely avoiding any majorly populated areas for obvious reasons, and probably running into trouble along the way.))

    RE: Solar-Powered Virus Busting!

She had to admit, she definitely wasn't prepared for the drills that smacked against her ship when they came, fighting to keep her balance in The Atlas as it had moved back. However, the sign... She almost made an exaggerated aww sound almost immediately. It was, by and large, the single most cutest thing she had ever seen, even if it was attempting to be threatening. The Metool was supposed to be with the other two, but he was late! He wanted to be there for her first real virus busting session! Ignoring the fact that she had kind of busted the other two with ease, the third boy was now safely running off. She didn't know exactly what to think about how he had been planning to destroy her, but it was just... too cute to be threatening. It was no doubt going to be hard to hurt Metools in the future, especially if they kept doing stuff like this. Just... too cute. Even Luna sighed with an affectionate aww.

Regardless, there was still at least one aggressive virus still trying to attack them. This strange knight-looking virus with an electric sword had just narrowly missed her craft and she definitely didn't want to know what it would feel like when a sword built like that would strike anything metal, including her.

"Let's make short work of this guy, Juno! Cannon chip, incoming!" Hopefully, this made short work of the virus, especially considering they were so close. The cannon forming on her arm, Juno quickly leaned out of the craft and blasted the powerful weapon hopefully directly at the chest of the sword-wielding virus.

Just in case it didn't work, however, Juno would once again duck into her craft, letting her buster charge up to its max capabilities once more. The whole arm glowing with charged energy, she quickly popped back up and blasted the full strength of her lasers directly at them. On top of that, she'd fire a single extra laser at basic strength just for good measure.

Wiping her brow almost on instinct, Juno let out a quiet sigh, hoping it was all over. If she was being honest with herself, all she wanted to do was learn more about that adorable Metool, and maybe investigate the shiny green object in the cave they had revealed.

The path was certainly convenient, she had to admit. It's warm glow certainly felt nice, especially considering she was so used to using solar energy on her own anyways. It was a nice reprieve, with the tower in the distance certainly something to aim towards. However, before she could really think too much about what could be going on inside that tower in the distance, the panels up ahead shattered as viruses quickly began to flee from the hole, putting themselves directly in her path.

Two drill-like viruses, rotating rather dangerously about, as well as virus wielding an electric sword of all things, trying to clear the air. For a second, she was hoping they wouldn't notice her until she could prepare or maybe even check out whatever that green flickering light was, but it was too late. With the strange chatter, they all looked at her, and it was too late to attempt any sort of surprise.

"Behind you too!" Luna said as Juno's head quickly whipped around, just in time to see the Metool tossing down a sign to pull up his signature pickaxe after rolling his eyes. What... was he doing with that sign? What did it even say? Did viruses do things other than just cause problems for the net? Questions going through her mind with no immediate answer, she quickly shook her head. This was combat, not a research session! But...

The main worry was the three viruses up ahead, who certainly looked more dangerous than the one behind, but being flanked by them, it was a bad idea to stay put. Wasting no time, with her feet firmly planted on the solar panels beneath her feet, Juno quickly summoned her personal vessel once more, The Atlas forming around her, it's metal sheen already shining with the orange-glow from her buster immediately slamming down onto the console to enhance the ship's overall defense.

"I'm going to send you that new chip we just got! With some of those nasty viruses standing on metal, hopefully they get a real nasty shock!" And with that, suddenly the projectile from before formed within her palm. This time, the bomb seemed definitely active. Not super experienced with explosives, Juno felt almost unsure with the bomb simply resting in her hand. Taking careful aim, hoping that the ship itself would protect her from any virus attacks in the meantime, Juno suddenly tossed the bomb close enough to the trio of viruses, but hopefully not too close to the cave opening to destroy whatever was inside there.

"Backing up!" Not wanting to stay close to these assumable melee-ranged viruses any longer than she had to, Juno had the ship immediately back up at full speed, hopefully moving around the Metool that was almost definitely closer by, ducking down in the ship to hopefully prevent attempts at retaliation for their suddenly explosive attack.

It would be easy to whip out another chip and blast the Metool to data bits, or at least so Juno thought. Especially as Luna loaded up the Shotgun chip for her Navi, she even pointed the weapon directly at the little guy, only to suddenly frown and switch targets immediately and quickly blast in the direction of the hopefully stunned drill viruses, hoping to get at least some collateral damage from the blast. Maybe it was the wrong decision, but something about the way he rolled his eyes, how he even had a sign, her curiosity was just too much, getting the better of her. He was doing something, asides from just trying to hurt people, but what was it?

"Look!" She shouted out the Metool nearby. "You clearly don't look like you wanted to be here! So just... I don't know! Scurry off somewhere else!"

"Juno! What are you doing? You could have just destroyed him!" Her operator responded, immediately confused by Juno's actions.

"I'm not built for virus busting, you know! I see something weird and I investigate! I update old tech! I'm used to fixing things that are broken! Blame curiosity, I guess! The Metool is the least dangerous thing here anyways! Now quick! Give me something else to keep the distance!"

"Uh... Alright, yeah. Here! Zap them good!" Luna was clearly confused, but she wasn't going to argue too much. Quickly loading up the ZapRing1 chip, Juno's buster immediately bulked up with a more circular shape visible in the middle of it. Aiming at whatever virus was closest to her besides the Metool and blasting the ring-like shape of electricity, hopefully frying them to bits.

    RE: Solar-Powered Virus Busting!

"Look at you!" Luna shouted out with pride for her Navi, resting against the side of the ship as it faded away back into the digital code it once was. "You absolutely destroyed them! Squished them flat! Blasted them off the surface of the net! Woo!" She shouted excitedly, giggling softly to herself as Juno stood up straight and brushed off the few sparks that were tingling against her body.

"Yeah. Look at me." Juno responded, a soft, almost hesitant smile on her face as she looked around. Walking over, she quickly grabbed the inert projectile, carefully examining it in her hand before converting it into chip data to be used later. "You know? That... actually wasn't too bad. " She continued to glance around, enjoying the soft warmth of the solar panels beneath her feet as she started to slowly walk. "I mean, in the end I only took a few nicks and bumps, nothing I can't patch out."

"That's because we're a team! As long as I got your back, I'm positive you can beat like, well almost anything! Eventually, anyways." Juno smiled listening to Luna's words, unable to shake the surprising happy feeling away. Maybe virus busting more often would be a little bit of fun.

"I think I'm ready to find some more." She said, brushing off the final shocks along her skin. The solar panels on her own back folded in, confident she had enough energy to last her quite a bit of time.

"You sure?" Surprised, Luna spoke in an almost shocked tone before quickly recovering. "I mean, of course, you're sure! It was our first real battle! I'm sure we can handle an encore!"

"Yeah, why not? Let's just keep on fighting until I need to rest. Hopefully the viruses I find next might also prove to have some useful chip data for us as well." And with that, Juno quickly began to jog off at a decent pace further into the net. At the very least, if they were going to be busting viruses a lot in the future, the combat experience would certainly be worthwhile to have.

    RE: Solar-Powered Virus Busting!

"Juno! Are you alright?" Luna quickly asked as soon as she realized that her Navi had taken damage. It might not look bad just yet, but the damage could definitely pile up if they weren't careful. Although, with only one enemy left it seemed like this specific confrontation might end rather soon.

"Yeah, I'm fine." The Navi replied, attempting to brush off the electricity that crackled against her skin. It stun a bit for sure, but if that was all the damage this virus could do to her, Juno was pretty confident. Shifting her weight in her personal craft, her eyes stared almost jealously at the Virus standing strong atop the solar panel tile beneath it. It wasn't even hurt! Why did they get such a warm solar glow!

"Time for a closer battle!" Slamming her buster arm against the ship itself, the solar-powered energy would quickly charge The Atlas up, moving close up towards the Magneaker and the RockCube, hoping to get some of the energy from the solar panel tiles for herself. As soon as it shot off, Juno quickly ducked down to try and attempt to dodge any attack the bug-like virus might make on her, leaving the ship to take the brunt of the blow.

"Good thinking! That mortar-like attack seems to be great at a distance! Hopefully, you can catch him off guard! Hold on, I got a chip for you!" As soon as the ship would come to a halt atop of the solar panels, the RageClaw1 chip was entered, transforming one of Juno's arms into the powerful bear claw.

It wasn't difficult for Juno to suddenly come up with a plan. She wasn't great at melee combat, but with this claw even she could slice through a virus with ease. However, the chip also had a second purpose. Her eyes drifting over towards the RockCube, it only took a second to come up with the idea. Leaping out of the craft and sliding down the side of her ship and onto the solar panel ground below, she quickly stabbed the bear claws directly into the rock cube itself, lifting it up into the air. "Yeah! Squish that bug!" Luna shouted in support as her Navi carefully took aim, eyeing up the target. As soon as she was confident, Juno tossed the massive stone directly at the Magneaker to hopefully squish it for good.

Not content to simply stand still just in case she missed her throw and the virus survived, Juno shifted into a more combat-worthy stance, moving in close only to quickly shift on her feet in another direction, feigning around them to slash as quickly as she could to hopefully destroy the virus for good.

"Yeah! Wreck him! Slice him, Dice him! Murderlize him!" Luna shouted out, incredibly proud of her own Navi.

"See! Told you we would find something interesting!" Luna would tell to Juno as she approached the strange, glowing patch of land. Of course, both of their experience with virus busting was usually only as a necessity, but the longer they explored, the more the operator began to grow excited at the concept.

"Yeah, I guess you- Wait a minute." She suddenly paused as the skittering sound immediately caught her attention, turning to face the RockCube before her. That sound definitely wasn't good, and the Metool that suddenly revealed itself from the ground in front of it was doubly not good. Paired with another sound of a third virus from a distance, Juno's worry suddenly picked up immensely.

"Three enemies. They have superior positioning. Luna, are you sure-"

"Yes! Don't worry, you can do this! I'm sending you a Shotgun chip to take care of that Metool up front!"

Juno's arm would quickly transform into the powerful Shotgun lining up her shot and carefully blasting the one-shot weapon as soon as she saw the eyes of the virus peeking up from his helmet. Right after the shotgun was fired, the Navi quickly shifted over to the side to try and dodge any attempt at a counter-attack.

"You know, that gives me an idea! Why didn't I ever think of this before?" If the viruses could use giant cubes as shields, why couldn't she use something herself? Juno would suddenly get an excited gleam in her own eye, spinning where she stood and urging the digital code to form her signature ship, The Atlas. It was a small, personal craft, barely able to fit herself.

"Wh- What are you doing!" Luna asked her Navi, definitely a bit confused about her sudden decision to break out the ship that could only hover just barely off the ground. It wasn't as if she could fly into the air and evade these Viruses.

"Don't worry! I got this!" Of course, Even Juno had to chuckle at the slight reversal of roles as her plan quickly formed into action. The ship would hopefully protect her from attacks, but nothing a little shielding couldn't help with. Placing her buster against the console, she quickly transferred over some of the energy stored within her pack, whirring the whole machine to life as a brief flash of orange light seemed to bend around the corners of the ship, hopefully enhancing how much it can take before it rips apart.

Immediately afterward, her eyes would glance over towards the Metool in the distance, grinning a tiny bit. Standing carefully in the open seat of the ship, Juno's solar panels themselves seemed to glow as energy was poured into her buster arm, pushing as much as she could before glancing over and blasting the charged shot directly at the virus that was bound to become a problem if forgotten about.

Juno's solar panels were spread open wide upon her back, the three of them trying to build up as much energy as they could before the eventual upcoming confrontation as she was ushered past all the buildings and their beautiful displays. Her arm already prepared as her standard buster as she was encouraged to walk through and find some viruses to bust. "A-are you... Sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure!" Luna said to her Navi, only encouraging the girl to shake her head as she held her arm at the ready. "Don't worry! I'll be sending you support along the way, just do what you do best, and everything will work out!"

"If you say so, I'm putting my faith in you."

    Luna's Home
    It's been a long day.

Luna wheels into her room with a reserved expression on her face, letting out a quiet sigh as she simply reaches over and tosses her schoolbag over and onto the floor across the room. Without another word, she moved over to her bed and simply climbed up into it. Laying down on the bed, staring at the ceiling as if somehow that could somehow help her.

"Dear, you look stressed." The hologram from her PET suddenly appeared, the device docked right against the arm of her wheelchair. Juno's concerned expression peering through the visor on her helmet.

"It's nothing." She says with a quiet tone, closing her eyes and taking in a deep breath, only to roll over away from the hologram and face the wall.

Juno would let out a quiet sigh herself, slowly moving to pull off her helmet as she continued to speak. "Luna, maybe you don't want to talk about it, but it's very painfully obvious that something is eating away at you. And whether or not you desire to speak of it, know that it's my self-designated purpose to help you through your problems." The hologram fades away a short while afterward, leaving Luna alone with her thoughts.

It's not even half a minute later before the tired girl reaches over to grab her PET, holding it in her hands gently. "I'm sorry, Juno. It's just... Well, today was a bit much. It's just... you know."

"I know." The Navi responded, the screen lighting up as she spoke. "However, I feel like perhaps the best course of action would be to do something to keep yourself entertained and distracted. It would definitely help keep you focused on things that make you happy, as compared to focusing on the negatives. I'm not wrong, am I?"

"No, no. You're rarely ever wrong." Luna would sigh once more, pushing up into an upright position. After a few seconds of thought, a wild smile would suddenly spread across her face. "I know what we're going to do!"

    "Do you?"

"Yes! We're going to go virus busting!" She carefully moved back into her chair, pushing across her room to the well-kept computer desk.

"E-excuse me?" Juno responded, with immediate hesitation in her voice. "W-what are you talking about? I've only ever done that as a necessity!" Almost as if in preparation of her assumed fate, the Navi quickly redonned her helmet, sealing the visor shut tight.

"Well, a lot of the other kids at school do it all the time. Plus... they were netbattling earlier too! It was a really cool sight! I feel like if we really tried, we could be amazing at it! I mean, think about it!"

"Luna! You... You do know that I wasn't designed with combat in mind, right? It's like trying to take a Navi specialized with cooking recipes and teaching them how to fight fires."

"Oh, relax! With my assistance, you'll be the world's best virus buster in no time!" Even as she spoke, she was already moving to grab the cord to jack her Navi in.

The Navi groaned heavily, already trying to mentally prepare herself. "There's no convincing you out of this... Is there?"

    "Nope!"

    Juno.EXE
    Name: Juno
    Gender: Female
    Element: Elec
    Subtype: Summon
Appearance: For all intents and purposes, Juno appears to be a rather normal female Navi. A white bodysuit with the occasional orange highlights, and a black protective covering over her upper chest and arms. Built to be a Navi who worked on the maintenance and upkeep of space-age technology, a helmet also dons her head that can easily be sealed airtight by closing its visor. Paired with this, a simple toolbelt rests around her waist, with a few various digital tools for tinkering.

Beneath the helmet reveals a tanned face with short brown hair that’s almost always an utter mess due to wearing a helmet all the time. A short, skinny individual, Juno was never built to stand out. Despite that, she stands as tall as she can at almost any given time, mostly due to the feeling of being the odd one out amongst a series of increasingly unique-looking Navi’s built for virus busting. Adapting to busting viruses as best she can, a small pack rests on her back like a battery, with solar panels that can be extended when needed to recharge.

Personality: Juno is always thinking and overthinking the situation, whether it comes to emotions, her blueprints, or even netbattling, she believes everything is as much a mental struggle as it is a physical one. Sometimes thinking of a superior plan can outwit an opponent much stronger than them, or at least in theory. What more often happens is they get so confident in their plan, that when it fails they end up almost lost. Scrounging for the metaphorical ground to stand on, unsure what to do or think. Logic is her best friend, and when it fails she’s clueless.

However, despite her reliance on logic, she’s often prone to bouts of excitement and other “irrational” emotions. Despite her shy and overall aloof personality, Juno gets a huge thrill out of talking to people, figuring them out, and in essence trying to figure out how they tick. It’s almost contradictory, completely quiet only until she meets someone new or a close friend, and lights up almost like a lightbulb even if it brings her great embarrassment.

Custom Weapon: Juno’s buster is fueled by solar energy from the device on her back. Plugged straight into her arm, she can fire simple laser beams from her buster, or charge it up for a more damaging attack.

    Signature Attack:
The Atlas: Juno summons a small personal craft akin to a spaceship that can protect her from attacks. However, it’s movement has to be fueled from her own solar power and only hovers just off the ground. (40 HP + Equippable Object = 60) Two turn cooldown.

Quick-Fix: By taking the time to do so, Juno can quickly repair herself or another in the midst of a fight with her maintenance expertise. (15 Healing) One turn cooldown.

    Luna Hubble
    Name: Luna Hubble
    Age: 17
    Gender: Female
Appearance: Luna is a short individual at about 5 foot 6 inches tall, with shoulder-length bright blonde hair. Her face is pretty average, even though her blue eyes seem to always be filled with curiosity, staring at everything she sees with wide, excited eyes. However, the most striking feature is that she resides permanently in a wheelchair. Despite this, she works hard to keep her body in shape, working out her upper body and core with some rather visibly defined muscles.

Clothing choices are usually pretty simple, with the occasional graphic tee from something she's interested in from time to time. Otherwise, she doesn't dress up much for almost any occasion. Dresses always feel incredibly awkward for her, so at almost any given time, she can be found wearing a zipped up hoodie and a pair of sweatpants.

Personality: Luna is normally a rather excitable, passionate girl who loves to explore. She loves to dive heavily into her books, learning as much as she can. The pursuit of knowledge over the specific things she enjoys is an endless one, to which she’d go to almost any length to do so. However, her true goal in life was always to see the stars. To explore space like her father, and his father before him. Due to an accident several years ago, resulting in the loss of the use of her legs, she’ll never have that chance. Often times, Luna can be found sitting outside, simply wistfully staring at the stars, dreaming of a life she’ll never have. More often then not, her mother has to move her back inside after she fell asleep outside.

She tries to hide this almost overwhelming pain in her life from the sudden shift with boundless optimism, even if it’s forced. Everything will be okay in the end, just have to keep pushing through. That being said, Luna is extremely persistent. The only time she will ever give up on something is when it truly appears hopeless to her, and her smiles fall faster than gravity.

PET Modifications: Her PET has a simple white color scheme with orange highlights, as well as a simple attachment to mount onto the arm of her wheelchair with ease. A little holographic screen, about 6 inches wide, can display from the PET when it’s docked on the wheelchair to show the Navi talking.
