The Melody bounces away from the groping hands but is swatted by the Rageclaw. It jumps back, landing on Lavaman again before he smacks it again, deleting it.

The next day Rafael and Lavaman returned. All the ports in ACDC were full, and so they just came back. Rafael was wondering where he could plug in, when he heard someone grunt in frustration. When he rounded the corner, he found someone bashing a coke machine.
"What's wrong?" said Rafael.
"Stupid thing ate my money!" said the stranger, and kicked hard again.
"Don't!" exclaimed Rafael. "I'll fix it."
Rafael walked up to the port and jacked in. Lavaman commented on the small amount of viruses, but he added it was enough to stop the machine from doing anything but take money.

[You start with scores of 1 for both Attack and Rapid. Those are boosted to 2 when you equip those Rapid+1 and Attack+1 that you have in your starting NaviCust pack. Add 5 points to that, and you get a total standard attack of 9 points.]

Lavaman let out a cry of pain, then rolled away. Without waiting for Rafael's instruction, he slashed at MelodyEXA again, and darted back. He was panting hard, and something was wrong. He shared his feelings with Rafael.
"I know what you mean, Lavaman," said Rafael. "These viruses shouldn't be so hard in a vending machine. I'm sending in Canon to help you."
Lavaman's other arm became an explosive gun which he promptly fired once he had entered the cluster of MelodyEX's again.
