Mission: Lethal Blizzard Chase!

Bard watched as the captain cleared out a large section of the enemies with his attack, the promptly took two bullets to the chest. Those bullets where powerful, and would quickly deleted him if he didn't keep low. "Captian, get away from the window and keep low!" She turned to her teammate as he started to move around. "Ok got it." Bard quickly turned back to the controls before her. She looked at the various gauges and found the controls for the cannons that she wanted. With one of the right cannons in hand, she quickly took aim on the remaining herd on the right side of the Tarasque. There was only one group of the buggers left, and hitting a single guy with a cannon may prove difficult. She didn't bother herself with that right now however, as she took aim on the center of the three closest together, and fired the cannon.

Bard quickly switched to the other turret on her side, she knew that this would be much more useful than the cannon for getting the lone raider on the right side. She lower it down, taking aim on the raider, and firing the three shot pattern from the gun. "That should take care of him," Bard said while turning the gun back up to the skies to take down the blackjets above. They were moving really quickly, this was going to be luck to be able to drop them all. She followed a blackjet with higher health for a moment, trying to trace its pattern and fire before it. Once she got the position right, she fired the turret, hoping it down it, or at least have a stray bullet down the other blackjets.

Bard turned and looked back into the command hull of the Tarasque. She noticed that her teammate was busy loading that ginat shell into the cannon. It would prove very useful, those snipers are deadly. If herself of him was hit by them, they would be instantly jacked out. She turned her attention back to the blackjet, knowing that next she will need to fire that large cannon. She took aim on another black jet, firing the three shots at it, and once again locked on to another of the high flying viruses and shooting it as well. The display before her told Bard that the gun was empty. "Thats all I got for now." She said while looking back to the captian to make sure he was ok.

Captain was completely unaffected by the two direct sniper shots into his chest, not even moving an inch away from the position he stood. "Being this persistent..." He stomped the metal hull, causing a short shockwave of vibration to course all over the Tarasque, and revealed a gigantic harpoon an inch smaller than the already huge Scorpion Sting. "IS MERELY MAKING THING WORSE!"

As if it was voice commanded, the harpoon fired right off like a rocket, through the hexagonal shield without any damage. The chain rattled as it was heading right into the Hovercraft the sneaky Snipers was using. Before they could do anything and try to evade the harpoon, it struck right through one of the the frightened sniper, deleting it and causing a heavy damage on the Hovercraft. With the chain, the Tarasque began to pull the Hovercraft closer and closer until it was within a acceptable shooting distance! The remaining Sniper from afar was shaken with what just happened and shot with hesitation, causing one shot to stray completely away from the vehicle while the other hit Captain, but not even near the vital points.

Garou successfully loaded the Distortion Catapult with the help of Mr. Prog and Bard was able to wipe out most of the Riders and Blackjets with the turrets, but, a few still remained and kept on weakening the shield...

"A harpoon gun?" Wolfman mused for a moment. "That would have been useful to know about. Doesn't matter now, I suppose. Bard," the Navi called to his companion. "Those snipers are close enough to your side for you to take them out. Finish the sniper and whatever else you can and I'll focus on taking out the hovercraft still ahead of us."

The Navi turned his attention back to the console in front of him. The targeting system for the distortion catapult was displayed on the screen, a targeting reticule superimposed above a shot of the landscape in front of the Tarasque. Wolfman took control of the targeting function, maneuvering the joystick so the reticule was centered on the hovercraft in the distance.

A button caught Wolfman's eye and he thumbed it down, the camera zooming toward the hovercraft in response. He could clearly make out the two snipers resting on the craft; could see them peering through their scopes toward him and his companions with the intent to kill plain in their grim faces. Wolfman muttered darkly to himself and wished he knew who commanded the force aligned against him. He didn't want them to escape unpunished.

"Captain," he asked. "Do you know who these guys are? Are they military? Mafia? What have we gotten ourselves involved in?"

Not waiting for a response, Wolfman refined his aim, zeroing the targeting reticule in on the center of the hovercraft. The two snipers lay to either side of his target and the Navi was sure that a single shot would be the end of them and their ride. He locked his target into the computer and squeezed the trigger.

An explosion of sound ripped from the main cannon of the mobile fortress as the Scorpion's Sting launched its devastating payload. The massive projectile arched high through the air before plummeting down toward the hovercraft. If Wolfman's aim was spot on, if the shell hit, the snipers and their hovercraft would be nothing more than wreckage laying across their path.

"Perhaps we should focus on getting us to our destination as soon as possible," the Navi muttered. "I doubt these are our only opponents."

Bard watched the actions of the quick thinking captain. A harpoon? The timing couldn't be anymore useless. She turned her attention back to the screens and display monitors on her side of the machine. There was a sniper really close to the ship, and the right shield was weakening even more. She would need to drop that sniper before he caused some serious damage, again. Her eye was caught by a quick flash of a light on the panel, saying that the turret previously out of ammo, is now ready to fire. Bard quickly grabbed the controls to the turret, by far the weapon she has used the most so far. She took aim on the sniper before her, quickly pulling the trigger to fire the four rapid shots at it. Hopefully, that would take care of that problem.

She turned her attention now towards the hovercraft remaining near her. She aimed on it with the turret, pulling the trigger on the firing handle, attempting to blast away the major threats of the nearby enemies. With those out of the way, she could focus on the remaining heelraiders, the ship itself was taking rather heavy damage on the right side still. Just as she went to aim the turret for the final shots, the large cannon rang out powerfully, making Bard flinch for a moment as she looked to her teammate. Wide eyed she stared for a second, before turning around to keep attacking.

Bard quickly found the final enemy in her sights on the screen. With a smirk she pulled the turret down towards it, ready to blast it away. She locked on and fired on the heelraider. "Hopefully that will take care of all the right sides ground problems," Bard said while checking more displays for other signs of enemy attacks and locations. There wasn't much left for her on this side of the machine she thought. She thought for a moment on what exactly to do next, unsure of what exactly she should do. Bard did the one thing she could do from this side of the machine, and grabbed the controls for the cannon. She took as careful and precise aim on the blackjet as possible. She moved the view before the blackjet before firing, hoping to have him run right into the attack.

The catapult sent the shell with a giant explosion, sending it right towards the distant Hovercraft in an unthinkable speed. From the look of it, the vehicle wasn't made for quick evasion and took the full blow of the bullet. It took a few seconds before a blood-red, spherical explosion swallowed everything that was in the blast radius, leaving no trace of the enemies behind.

Bard began to fire everything she could use, heavily wounding the sniper and finally finished them off when the Hovercraft blew up after a single hit. The Riders and the BlackJet was immediately deleted next, scaring away the last BlackJet away from the Tarasque.

Captain took on the Cannons on the left side when Garou was preparing the Scorpion Sting, firing all three shots at precise accuracy and destroying the rest of the fleet...

"Finally...Silence."

There was no more viruses or enemies chasing after them now, leaving only the three navi and the monstrous Tarasque by them selves in the thick blizzard. The Captain began to walk inside the control room, starting to patch up some of his wounds while having a quick look at the Tarasque's status. "The shields are nearly down...But she's still braving on."

He continued to do his work, despite his serious injuries from the snipers, from contacting the NP HQ, readjusting the motor outputs, reloading all the turrets for the next battle, etc. "Well...I'm sure both of you are wondering what the hell is going on?

"Most definitely," the Navi known as Garou spoke up. "Just what are we carting across Sharo and who were those raiders who attacked us?"
Bard double checked the displays to see if the viruses were indeed gone from the area. The shields were beaten in a bit, but still holding strong in most cases. She watched the captain as he made his movements around. After he spoke to them Bard said, "I would very much enjoy knowing what is going on! What are we carrying?"

"Yeah some answers would be nice," Leo said over private chat. "That was so serious resistance, and I want to know where it came from."

((I thought you guys would be smart enough to use this time to drive the Tarasque so the battle would end faster...))

"Unfortunately...I cannot disclose what we are carrying. I'm honestly sorry, but this is something we cannot simply hand them over."

His eyes was fixated completely to the computers, currently showing the status of the shields, improving and strengthening it for the next wave of inevitable battle.

"The people who were attacking us was nothing but thugs, but they were being led by those damn NetMafias.

Captain finished reinforcing the shields and slowly began to walk out towards the windows. There was a expression of sorrow on his face, most likely seeing what happened with both Crimson and Ocean, and quickly wiped it off his face. "Now, like you said Garou, there will be more coming our way. Let's prepare for their next assault and fight back."

"That sounds fine with me." Wolfman said. "I want to be out of this blizzard as soon as possible. It gives our enemies far too much cover."

The Navi changed his position, moving to take over the controls of the Tarasque. He wanted to pushed the fortress harder, to increase their speed in the hopes of reaching their destination sooner rather than later.

Summary:
1-3: Boost Tarasque speed
{{Indeed real men don't need to use brains when we have big guns!}}

"We are risking a lot by being out here and you can't even disclose to us what we are fighting to protect?" Bard questioned. She was sitting on her disk as it carried her at eye level with the captain. "That seems kind of silly."

"Bard just go with it," Leo pushed over open chat. This was the first time in a long time Leo has ever spoken over a non private line. Bard noticed this for what it was and turned away from the captain.

"Still seems silly to me," She said while moving to assist in piloting the machine further into the storm and to the target dropping location.

Summary
1-3) Pilot and boost speed
((1AM...need to go to sleep))

With the effort of Garou and Bard, the Tarasque was able to snake through the canyons much faster than before. They now passed the half way mark from their destination, but now the enemies will be tougher than before...

"Deploying the explosives!"

A giant explosion blasted beneath the fortress, literally covering the Tarasque in a wall of fire. Fortunately, the barrier beneath absorbed all the damage and soon deactivated completely. "They're here! Prepare your self!" When they cleared through the fires, they were once again covered by the numerous enemies, all having their weapons pointing towards the center. A fleet of tanks surrounded both sides while the same, annoying snipers was ready to take their shots from afar. However, within the ranks of the snipers were two individual navis with a notable red sash over their chest..."Enemies are in sight. Preparing the 2nd phase!"

Bard's Jaw dropped when she saw the new amount of enemies standing before her. "Th-that's a lot of them there." She said gulping. "What are we going to do against all of these enemies?" She questions. She took several looks to the monitor, and several glances around at the faces of her allies. The back shields have dropped. We have to cover our ass that much I know for sure. Bard thought while moving away from the piloting towards the weapons she had last used. She grabbed hold of the gun controls and took hold of the cannons. She knew that the damage from these wouldn't clear out the tanks behind her quickly. This is going to take a few shots, she knew that much.

"Bard," Leo chimed in over private chat, "it is going to be very difficult to drop all of the enemies on the sides but they do need to be our main targets. Each tank will need to have a full turret shot into them, along with a cannon blast. Fire off the cannon this time then get on a turret. Once we get closer to the snipers, I want you to aim at the commanders there. I don't really want to find out what they can do."

Bard nodded when she heard Leo. She turned to her allies and said, "We need to get the tanks off of us now. With our back shields down they pose the most threat to the health of the machine." She turned around and grabbed the controls again. She held the cannons controls in place as she aimed the first shot into the middle of the tank group. When the screen flashed a locked on status, she fired the weapon. She didn't check to see if the shot connected before she moved the targeting screen to her next target. Off to the left of the first target was another group, perfect for the blast of this weapon. She took aim on them as well, kept her eyes glued for the locked on status, and attacked again.

"Once more then switch over to the turret. With any luck you will be able to drop at least one of them this time." Leo Instructed. Leo leaned back in his chair and started to think. The captain used process attacks to hurt the enemies from the front of the machine. It would be dangerous for Bard to do the same, but I wonder if she could assist in another way with her attacks. Maybe even her chips? Hrm. Just a thought but I don't think it is possible.

Bard switched to the other cannon, as the one she was using started the automatic reloading process. She grabbed those controls and lined up on the last target she wanted to hit with the blast from this large group. It was one of the first tanks in the lines. She pulled the trigger and thought for a moment. "Leo, I am going to fire off this last cannon shot into the tanks, and then switch over to the turrets. A spray and pray into the grouping could prove very very effective."

Leo thought for a minute. She wouldn't be able to control the shots this way, but with all of them being around 50 health at the time of the spray and pray, it would prove to be very effective to wipe the lines down with that. "Do it."

She turned the cannon back into the lines of the tanks to finish off the ammo of it this turn. With the cannons and the turrets being on opposite use cycles, she could plan the attack pattern easier. She lined up the targeting on one of the tanks that had been hit by a blast, not by the direct use of the cannon. She pulled the trigger, launching the attack right into the enemies. She pulled her face away from the cannons to look at the displays showing what was around them and how damaged they were. "With any luck," Bard said under her breath, "Next turn I should be able to wipe a very large section of those pesky tanks."

"Our enemies are rather persistent," Wolfman muttered between clenched teeth.

"And they seem to have quite a lot of resources to field this large of an army," Victor mused. "The Mafia must have a vested interest in our cargo if they are sending such a large amount of troops."

"Yes, if we aren't careful, we could find ourselves in the middle of another NetWar."

"Then let us hope we don't run into a Cybeast or two."

Wolfman's response was a low growl as he eyed the multitude of enemies that were arrayed on either side of the Tarasque. The fortress' shields were weakening rapidly and the jet black tanks looked far sturdier than the riders had been. He doubted he could take them out with the cannons without multiple shots and the turrets lacked the spread needed for reducing the attacking tanks to shrapnel.

"No help for it," the Navi sighed. "We'll have to hit them with what we have and hope for the best."

Wolfman took control of the small cannons, taking aim using the cameras positioned near the weapons on the outside of the fortress and the monitors on the console in front of him. He positioned the targeting reticule so that it was splayed over one of the black tanks rumbling alongside the Tarasque. He squeezed the trigger, a loud explosion greeting him as the cannon unleashed hell. He quickly changed targets, moving down along the line of tanks. Wolfman pulled the trigger again and a second explosion sounded.

The Navi switched to the second cannon along the left side of the fortress. Once again Wolfman took aim and squeezed the trigger. A third explosion was followed by a surge of snow that obscured the row of tanks from view. With luck, Wolfman's shots would severely hamper the tanks if not disable them. He'd probably have to use the turret next to finish off as many tanks as he could in order to protect the Tarasque's shields.

"Captain," Wolfman called. "Do what you can to thin their ranks. Maybe we can haul those snipers in closer and take them out with the tanks."

Garou and Bard pulled the first trigger in the 2nd wave of battle and dealt a heavy damage on the tanks thanks to the destructive power of the mounted cannons. As soon as the cannons reached their limits, the tank's barrel began to heat up and fire a powerful shot at that Tarasque, all at the same time! Unlike before, the ammunition held much more desctructive power than the enemies before and easily shredded through the shields and began to pick off the outer armor of the vehicle.

"UNACCEPTABLE" In a near blind rage, Captain shot a small shock wave from both his palm and headed towards the armada of tanks on each side. As soon as the projectile hit against the ground, it immediately sprouted a gigantic spike that punctured through few tanks while some unfortunate ones crashed head on and exploded.

"...Those Cannons are too troublesome. Targeting the turrets are the first priority."

The navis in the red sash commanded the snipers near them and promptly waited for the result. With two echoing blast, the sniper bullet easily ripped through the front shield and hit the two cannons head on, nearly scrapping the vital defense. "*sigh* Amateurs! Target the base of the turret along with the ammo source to completely disable it! Do it right next time!"

Bard yelped audibly as the tanks fired their attacks and broke through all of the shields. How could they have avoided that one? She looked at the faces of the others in the command hub, both seemed at least slightly effected by the loss of the shields. Then after that the cannons took damage on all sides of the machine. Each had taken a hit, two were close to being deleted. A red light flashed on her face as she tried to figure out how to save the precious cannons. "Leo, I need a way to stop those cannons from being taken out, we need them. I am going to start using the turrets to finish off the tanks on my side."

Before using the turret controls on her side she looked to her partner. She locked eyes with him and said, "We need to drop one of those groups in the back. The cannon should be loaded!" She turned back to her control panel and took a second look at the status of the cannons on her side. The red light still illuminated her face as her hand gripped the turret controls.

Leo quickly leaned back in his chair and grabbed a pen and scrap paper that was lying on the college desk near to him. He started to scribble random things, most of it would be indecipherable to anyone but him. He was muttering to himself as well. Running through all of the various abilities of the machine, seeing which would be the most useful to keep the cannons intact. They are very vital to the power of the mobile fortress.

While Leo began his thinking, Bard took aim with the turret on the separate targets. She locked onto the first of the tanks that was still intact, and opened fire. The firing of the turret could be heard as the bullet passed quickly through the barrel of the outer gun. She moved to the next target and repeated the process. Bard had enough ammo left in the gun to fire once more, hopefully dropping the last tank in the process. She locked on using the displays and opened fire once more. She finished that and glanced up at the captain for a second before leo chimed in loudly over private chat.

"Bard!" Leo exclaimed, holding a messy and ripped piece of paper, "I have a plan. Move over to the speed controls. The snipers are precision attackers. They have to follow the step and beat of the machine before firing to hurt the cannons. If we turn up the speed right as they are about to fire it should throw off the shot enough to save the cannons this time. When we turn the speed up, is we slightly move the machine enough as well it should serve as an evasive maneuver. It is the only thing I could come up with sadly." Leo placed the paper next to him and watched, hoping his plan would work.

Bard wasted no time and moved over to the controls. She took the accelerator in her hand and turned her head towards the group of snipers in the back of the swarm. "Captain! I need you to help me watch for the snipers! Tell me when they are firing so that I can move the machine faster as an evasive move!" Bard kept her eyes on the snipers as best she could, and hoped the captain would assist as well. Even if he didn't she would be ready to hit the speed up and turn the machine slightly to avoid the hit. She placed her hand on the movement reticule and prepared to take evasive action just as the snipers fired.

Wolfman growled wordlessly, a low threatening rumble that escaped from deep within his throat. With its shields down, the lumbering Tarasque would make an easy target. The snipers would have no trouble picking off the trio of Navi sitting in the fortress' command room and another barrage of tank fire would be more than enough to disable the Tarasque's smaller guns.

"We're sitting ducks in here," Wolfman snarled. "Fish in a barrel. Captain, isn't there anyway to restore our shields?"

"Perhaps we should attempt evasive maneuvers?" Victor suggested over their private line.

"Perhaps," Wolfman answered silently. "Though we are far too large of a target to dodge effectively. The best we could do would be to stop our opponents from hitting the exact spot they want."

"True, but if you can't restore the shields, you'll have to do something before those tanks and snipers neuter the Tarasque."

Wolfman sighed, fingers clicking against the keyboard and pulling up information on the various enemies allied against Wolfman and his companions. There were seven tanks left surrounding the fortress and the two hovercrafts loaded with snipers and the two commanders far to the left and right. His guns would do little against the hovercrafts, through he was sure he could take out the tanks on his side if he wanted. He would need to load the main cannon again if he wanted to take out one of the hovercrafts. Wolfman glanced around the room, searching for a clue as to what he should do. His golden eyes locked onto Bard's green.

"We need to drop one of those groups in the back," his companion said. "The cannon should be loaded!"

"Aye," Wolfman nodded and turned back to his controls. "Captain, one of the cannons on the left is still loaded. See if you can't use it to take out some of the tanks over here."

Wolfman's hands slid across the keyboard, tapping down keys to bring up the main cannon on his monitors. He began the loading process, watching as a second massive shell was loaded into place. It would take a few moments before the main gun was ready to be aimed and fired, but he had no choice. He observed the loading process, ensuring that the shell was loaded correctly. With luck, they would be able to take out one of the hovercrafts with the main gun.

"Once I have this shell loaded, we'll need to see what we can do with the second hovercraft. Captain, maybe you can use the grappling hook to draw one of the crafts into range of the small guns while I take out the other with the main cannon."
