ElecTown Virus Bomb

Fittingly for a place called ElecTown, the corresponding bomb sent over a gang of Elec viruses. Oddly, however, they weren't in a simple line pattern; this time they surrounded the Navi, in neat, 90 degree angles.

Trent waited for the viruses to show, his left knife in hand, his right hand resting on the grip of his pistol in the holster. He fingers tabbed impatiently on the steel of the gun, waiting for the bomb. Maybe Mark wasn't close enough, or maybe he had picked the wrong idea for a bomb. Trent let out a sign while looking around. The virus bomb wifi disabled his own holographic. Just as he though the program would run out, the viruses all appeared in the space.

"I guess I was just in range," Mark said, letting his voice lead before his display window popped up, showing him moving out of the way of the typical area to the side of the tower. "Lets get this going."

The duo stared dumbfounded for a moment, Mark holding it longer than Trent, over the arrangement of the viruses. They either got very lucky, or were really attempting to be tactical. Made Trent wonder if the viruses at the end of this all would be more tactical or not. As his body lowered, an uneasy feeling ran over him. He didn't like being entrapped within a circle of viruses. Moving away from the cold steel of the pistol, his hand gathered the form of another knife from his side, and he immediately backpedaled out of the circle, straight for the EX virus behind him.

"Trent, we should plan something out here," the display of mark turned to watch him back out of the formation. "We don't have to leave the circle," Mark said trying to suggest a strategy. For Trent though, that was out of the question. He was already heading out of the circle, two knives drawn to descend upon the virus. He led with a left feinting jab to lead the virus to its right, where Trent stepped up high with a hammering action towards the spinal area of the virus. Letting the knife hilt go, he rolled to the back with surprising speed, once in the back of the virus, he pulled out a second knife, which he tried to thrust into the side of the virus. Trent reached for his old knife, grabbed the hilt and pulled it back to him, before kicking the EX towards the center of the square.

Trent felt much better to be on the outside of the fight. He enjoyed close combat, and trying his own skill, but being surrounded never ended well in a fist fight, why would this be different? Trent looked at the new formation of the viruses he had created, and said, "Boomerang and Totem."

Mark understood quickly why Trent requested those two chips, and faithfully slotted them in. "The boomerang will be inaccurate, and once the totem is going you're going to have to be careful around the flames." Mark said.

Trent eyed the crowd once more, trying to envision his next wave of attacks, attempting to lock down the movements and outcomes of his own attacks and weapons. The start of the boomerang data entered his systems, which caused a knife of his to shift into the shape of a boomerang. The steel began elongated and curved, the edge of the blade turning to the edge of the boomerang to aerodynamics. Trent pulled the boomerang back and threw it hard to his right, aiming for the magtect first and foremost. Finally Trent withdrew his pistol, and aimed it behind the Billy in the back of the lines. A shock cracked from the barrel, striking the ground behind the virus., from which the totem spouted. The hinged mouth dropped ominously, its red face staring down the enemies, before launching a flamethrower attack on the virus, at Trent's command.

Poke! Poke! That's all it took for the mighty EX virus to fall to the might of Trent, as his knife strikes proved as lethal as their names made it sound. This, strangely, triggered a rage in the Eleball, who started to look as though it was shorting out...though nothing seemed to be happening in the meantime. Oh well.

The Navi continued with a Boomerang strike to the MagTect, who attempted to avoid it. It didn't work so well...for the MagTect. It actually went very well for Trent, considering it bonked it right on the head. Continuing the momentum, he shot a Totem behind the Billy, who attempted to run away with its short, stubby legs...but despite a good effort, it, too, wound up becoming junk data.

Trent was rather pleased with the turn of events of his attacks this time around. Each knife found its target, and the totem and boomerangs followed the trends. Only one lonely viruses left, and it seemed to be charging up an attack, not like it mattered much to Trent at the current. He rose his body up, adopted a light stance, and switched both blades to reverse grip. His actions nearly mimicked that of a boxer, in the ways he carried his weight. He paced around a small area while waiting for chips from Mark.

Mark bothered none in the idea of planing an attack with his navi, and merely sent over an array of chips for his navi to use. Each one able to produce enough damage to finish off the elecball, knowing that chances were higher than not of this being its last time of existence. "Just finish this."

Trent had every intention too do so, his knives both at the ready. The first chip data he received from Mark however did not match up to the close combat aspect that Trent was hoping it would do. He was rather disappointed by Mark's selection of chips, all of which being ranged of some form. An exasperated sigh passed his lips, before opening up the data for the kunai chip. Trent pulled a set of three knives from a holster, each one a balanced black throwing knife. He took aim on the floating, elusive, elecball and threw each of the three blades in turn.

Trent pulled up the next chip in the line up, a lovely machinegun chip. Trent was very glad to have gotten this one back, highly enjoying its abilities. Granted, it wasn't the best in the world for hitting a single, tiny, floating target, but it would be worth a shot, as each bullet had large amounts of penetration power behind it. He removed the modified pistol from his holster and leveled it at the elecball, emptying the barrel. With each shot of the gun, Trent hated more and more how much he had to relay on guns against flying or floating targets.

Trent activated the Totem chip once more, spewing flames and death over the field, while he waited to check if the elecball had been deleted before carrying out the rest of the attacks.

TURNSPLICE
The sparkage was increased over the surface of EleBall...but the combination of knives, bullets, and good ol' fashioned fire was too much, and it fell before it could reveal what it was trying to do. So, despite being the victor, Trent would forever be forced to wonder what it was all about. Truly, a Pyrrhic victory.
