Druidman: Steamblower

Druidman comes across-

A man in a suit. And a... small poodle?

The man turns towards Druidman defensively, and the small poodle growls from behind him.

It's only when the name display pops up that Druidman realizes that there are some truly odd things in the world.

'Freckles', as the name display identifies him, has jet-black hair that comes to a point at the back of his head, then continues out in a kinky, lazy droop downwards, getting thinner until it reaches a small tip. His eyes are brown, and he's a rather lanky sort-- thin, tall, that sort of thing. His face is rather well-rounded with a slightly sharp nose, and he has a line of freckles that run straight across it, ruining the 'badass' look one would assume he's trying to pull off. 'Freckles' also wears a black tuxedo that seems oddly comfortable and loose-fitting in places that most tuxedos wouldn't; He wears a matching pair of black shoes, as well, and also wears a pair of white gloves that seem oddly clean.

Battle 15...?

Freckles: 1800 (???)

Druidman: 250
Druidman looks at the strange Navi, and kind of stares, somewhat nervously. Tentatively, he takes a step forwards. "Heh, nice weather we're having, aren't we, man?" he says nervous/friendly.

((And Twi, I used an Energypack between battles.))
((Typo, lolz))

The navi simply stares at Druidman, and then growls, somewhat similarly to his... poodle.

It seems walking closer to him was a bad idea.

Freckles: 1800 (???)

Druidman: 250
Druidman stops instantly. This person seemed more animal than human...

Luckily, Druidman had a knack for dealing with animals.

"It's alright, dude." he said, slowly and calmly. He held his arms out stretched, palms upwards, while he slowly backed away, "I didn't mean to startle you, man." he said as soothingly as he could, while slowly circling around as he backed up, hoping to get past this weirdo without conflict.
Attempting to move *around* him wasn't a good idea either, apparently. The man jumps at Druidman in a leap that seems like a predatory pounce, but Druidman simply rolls out of the way, and spins- only to find the man back on his feet already, looking ready to attack again.

Freckles: 1800 (???)

Druidman: 250
Druidman took up a more defensive posture. This guy was clearly crazy, and wasn't about to let him past. Several possiblities slipped into his mind, he could try freezing the Navi with his new Ice magic and try to slip past, or throw down a Windbox and bolt past him...

No, he wasn't done trying to resort to violence, yet.

Now he, slowly, retreated backwards again, keeping his eyes on the Navi, he tried a zigzag technique, slowly zigging closer to the Navi, then zagging away, as he zagged, he moved further and further to the right, slowly and surely. "It's okay, man." he said clearly and calmly.
The man is suddenly at Druidman's side, and knocks him over with a solid kick. (40) He lashes out at the downed Druidman twice more, but misses both times.

He then moves, far too fast, back in front of the small poodle in a defensive position.

Freckles: 1800 (???)

Druidman: 210
Druidman's temper flared, but he kept his cool. He kept his voice pure and serene as he spoke to the Navi...

Until he screamed, "SHIVERING FROST FORCE!!!" Druidman bolted forwards, now carrying a large, clublike branch, before giving it a mighty swing at the head of the Navi, sending ice shards everywhere.

Steve, not missing a beat, slotted in several chips for his Navi, now that he had decided to fight.

Ice, sure to conduct electricity, would hopefully make his next attack go off with a bit of a bang. He drew his scimitar, and focused all of the electric magic he could muster into the blade, sending a swirling mass of lightning dancing along the edge. With a mighty spin, he sent a swirling mass of electrical doom towards the Navi.

Still not done, and hoping that the extra electricity would help boost the potential of his next attack, Druidman bent his scimitar down the middle, forming it into a boomerang, which he deftly hurled at the strange Navi with all of his might.

Druidman, knowing that Ice magic wouldn't last very long, started another chant, which caused distant rumblings throughout the net, which came to a head as he slammed his foot downwards, sending a deep crack spiderwebbing through the earth. "ENCROACHING EARTH FORCE!!!" he yelled as he held up his gauntleted hand, forming a strong wooden shield, which obscured his vision as roots burst from the ground, expelling whatever had been trapped inside of the earth.

Druidman's attacks hit Freckles...

...But he takes no damage?

In fact, the navi almost seems bolstered by the attacks, and he lashes out at Druidman- only to have his own attack reflected ineffectively back at him.

He then takes up that same defensive stance once more...

Freckles: 1800 (???)

Druidman: 210
"What the?" Druidman screamed as he barely deflected the attack. "That didn't do jack? Bogus!" Druidman looked like he was on the verge of throwing a fit.

Steve was equally puzzled. "I don't get it. The way he took those attacks..." he started to trail off. The way it looked was almost identical to the animation from one of the old video games he had played as a child. Of course, the chances that that what was happening here was an almost laughable impossibility. Yet Steve had lost to that boss so many times that it was still stuck in his head...

The boss, the Draco-Lich, was a giant, undead dragon. All forms of physical and magical attacks were completely ineffective against it. The only way to beat it was to ignore the large beast, and attack where it's soul resided, a small statue at the back of the room.

Steve looked at the ridiculous poodle, suddenly seeming to understand...

"Druidman." Steve quipped, now all business, "Focus your attacks on his dog."

"Whaaaat?" Druidman reeled. "What are you smoking?" he repiled, clearly not having faith in this course of action.

"Just trust me." Steve said, "I know what I'm doing." he stated. "I hope." he muttered afterwards.

"I caught that, dude." Druidman said dryly, but he obeyed. Slamming his scimitar into the ground and focusing the fire chip through it, pumping it's power into the ground, only to send it explosively upwards a distance ahead of him.

With a grunt, he withdrew the sword from the ground, and hefted it over his shoulder. Reaching into his belt pouch, he withdrew an Energybomb, and casually flicked it sideways at the small canine. This gave him enough time to channel in a simple water spell into his sword, which he promptly fired with a quick swipe of the blade.

Another short command word later, Druidman was delivering another quick slash to the air, sending a ball of electrical force sailing lazily onward toward mutt and master.

Taking a step back, the wooden shield reappeared.

3.)Bubbler Battlechip to Poodle. (50Aqua, splash to Freckles.)
4.)Thunder1 Battlechip to Poodle. (40Elec, Stun1)
5.)Guard1 Battlechip to Self.
Freckles, as usual, takes no damage from the first and third attacks. The poodle, on the other hand- disappears...? The fourth attack misses because of this.

At least, that's what Druidman thought until he heard a loud chomping noise from somewhere below him, and looked down to see the poodle, growling and hanging off of his left knee. (40) He looks up, stunned, and wonders how the thing managed to slip past his Guard1, which is still sitting in front of him, active.

Looks like he was right about the Poodle being the real 'Freckles', though. The name displays have changed...

Freckles: 1600
Drek: (Illusion!) (Invulnerable to attack!)

Druidman: 170 (Guard1)
Druidman seized up in pain, but kept his mouth shut. Now he thought he understood what was going on. This dog was either deathly afraid of Druidman, or irritated in some way. Most wild animals leave human type Navis alone, with constructs like viruses being the exception.

Druidman just kept calm, and looked down at the small dog hanging off of his knee. "No." he said firmly, but calmly. "Freckles no bite, man." he elaborated, pointing his finger upwards at the dog, lightly tapping it's nose. "Freckles be a good doggie."
Freckles, oddly enough, seems to tone down on the growling a slight bit. He lets go of Druidman's leg, then lays down on the ground with a whine.
"There, there." Druidman said calmly, silently congratulating himself. "You're a good puppy, aren't you, dude?" he said, slowly hold out his hand, palm up, so that Freckles could get a good sniff.
Drek looks uneasily between Druidman and Freckles, and seems about to take a step forwards- until Freckles sniffs at Druidman's hand, then gives it a lick, causing Drek to visibly calm.
"See, I'm a good dude." Druidman said with a smile, and lightly pets Freckles head and scratches him behind the ears. "I'm not gonna hurt you."
Freckles rolls over onto his back, and Druidman scratches his tummy as well.

Victory...?

I guess so!
Smiling, Druidman straightens up. "Now you be a good dog, okay, man?" he said. Nodding to Drek, he continues onwards through the net.

((Battle 16, I guess.))
Freckles pulls on Druidman's leg, whining in a manner that can only be interpreted as 'Don't go that way'.
Druidman stops, and turns back to Freckles. "Not this way? Which way should I go, then, puppydude?" he asks with another smile.
