Groove.

Wiz didn't notice them, unfortunately. The armor-clad, floating navi simply kept spiraling through the air, twisting and turning and generally enjoying the ability to float-

-then he tried to fly. He pushed off of nothing, trying to gain ground... but found he couldn't go any farther than ~5 feet off of the ground.

"Treeeeeenn!" Wiz called out, tone upset, "Why can't I fly?"

"I- don't know, actually." Came Trenn's reply over the line. He pulled up a quick diagnostic of Wiz's specs; nothing seemed to be wrong... but yet... why couldn't Wiz fly, then? Trenn screwed up his face in thought, thinking. "I can't find any reason for it, Wiz. Are you sure you can't?"

"Yeah!" Wiz near-shouted, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "See, look." Wiz lowered himself a bit towards the ground, then shot upward only to slowly sink back down to the 'hovering at 5 feet' mark. He repeated this exercise in futility about twice before he spoke again. "Why won't it work?!" he cried, voice wobbly as if on the edge of tears.

"Look, go ahead and jack out. I'll look you over and see if I can find out what's wrong when you get back, okay?" Trenn soothed, honestly worried that this was upsetting Wiz so much.

Wiz sniffled. "Alright..." his voice sounded dejected to the point of hopelessness.

Trenn tapped a few keys on the PET, and glanced at the Escape subchip. He sighed dejectedly, and tapped the icon for it.
