Wut?

Seraphim whirled into being, his clothes floating in a nonexistent wind as he came into being in the landscape. Immediately, his sensors began to strive for a connection with Erin, wherever she was. He almost instantly came in contact, her pet was on, she was sitting there- crying?

"Erin! Why're you crying? Did you get something stolen? Was a loved one killed? Do you need vengeance?" Erin, naturally, was surprised by her navi, which she had thought stolen and killed, and had been planning to take revenge for- was standing before her, unharmed and apparently completely oblivious.

"Seraph- You-"

"Yes? Is there a quest we need to go on?" Seraphim asked expectantly.

"...No, not right now. Just- grind for levels, I suppose." She wiped away tears, giving a happy laugh for once as she watched her navi.
Yes, grind for lvls... they only take more time then if you did quests most of the time... Also, there is nothing special about where you are fighting... beside a random tree in the middle of the field...

"Hah!" Seraphim exclaimed, looking at his opposition. He raiseda hand and swept it before him, clenching it- and noticing- that his gauntlets were more protective, complicated- and had... Slightly glowing runes. He tilted his head slightly, trying to read... rather hopelessly. He looked down at himself, to see more of the same, armor and runes. He seemed to have become a regular knight. Except with far less armor and all. He looked once more at the opposition, his half-cloak flowing dramatically to both sides in some non-existent wind, his hair being blown dramaticatically back- as power swirled in his palms, slowly forming into a new- weapon...

He stared at it for a moment, it looked so much more sleek, much more deadlier than before. It also felt lighter. He hefted it, and flipped open the barrel, spinning it before opening his window with Erin, hefting an eyebrow.

"Didja buy armor or something and weapons while I was out?" He asked, staring once more at his new equips and weapon, looking himself over. Quite the figure he cut. He took a pose, aiming his empty weapon at the foes and clicking the trigger three times, although there weren't any sort of ammo loaded in, and the barrel wasn't in, it still looked somewhat dramatic. As opposed to say, a normal NPC at the bar... at least...

"We're set here, Seraphim. And no, I didn't upgrade your armor, must be the event reward or something." Grinning, Erin slotted in three chips. She was still slightly worried about her navi, he didn't have that armor, and those pulses along his armor was definitely ominous. She wondered if it was simply his data upgrading or something, but she doubted it. It didn't look like any sort of good thing there... Except Seraphim was happy. That meant something.

She smiled slightly, as her navi pulled six bullets from nowhere, aiming at the viruses and then remembering to load the weapon, doing so, cocking it and firing in rapid succession. He slid back a foot, staring down the weapon, then fired. There was much less kick than before as well, as the navi blasted away, pulling the trigger again and again.

"Seraphim, last-" Seraphim spun, jumping into the air and flipped, pulling off a stunt that normally, no navi other than wind would be able to do, then actually hitting the tree with his feet, firing the weapon upon impact-, then flipping off the tree and landing on the ground. There was a cocky smile on his face, which slowly became a goofy one as he looked at his opposition. The curved blade along the gun blazed with sudden electricity as he charged, raising the weapon with both hands, and sliced.

And then, the battle was set.

Seraphim looked about, clenching his gauntleted fist with a clank and gnashing of metal against metal. He raised his other hand, his weapon held in it. Pulling the hammer forward, he flipped out the barrel, spinning it and letting the spent casings fall to the "floor", clattering. He stared at each of the four cannons for a long moment, then grinned. Four Cannons, huh? That meant a four hit combo he could pull off-- If he was careful. Careful, shmareful.

"Erin, let's beat these creeps with a new record!" He shouted out, sheathing his deadly weapon in a blaze of light into its nothingness from which it had come. Seraphim's grin only grew as he drew a blade from the same place that the gun-sword had come from. He held it out, hefting it. It too, felt lighter than before. He spun it about, flipping it over and bringing it over with a smash into the ground. Still had that same destructive flavor. Tugging it out with a slightly nasty touch coming to his grin, he viewed the enemies as a challenge.

"Right, right." She slotted in a triple slot of the same chip, then simply realized that quite wasn't enough she thought about it for a moment, then just simply went with the unoriginal path, slipping in an ordinary widesword to finish the now mishmashed bunch up. The navi nodded, and raised his sword, the "heavens" suddenly swirling to strike his weapon with a blaze of lightning, outlining it with a halo of golden fire.

"Take this!" He yelled out, as he approached the first one, bringing his weapon up in a flare of light blurring as he sliced, then spun, sprinting for the next one, his fist brought back, then thrown out, punching at it. His other arm was drawn back- then stabbed forward, the weapon blasting through everything in its path as the hero spun, his sword still blazing with electricity as he jumped at the third one, his weapon held overhead in both hands. The hero brought it down with a smash and then spun about, the electric fires in the weapon dying out.

"Dang, I must be out of mana." The hero commented, staring at his weapon forlornly before charging at the final targeter, slashing at it in the hopes of ending this particular battle swiftly and soundly.

-Viruses Engaging!-
-BATTLE 3-
-FIGHT!-

Seraphim whirled, bringing his weapon to bear as he faced his opposition, the view of him circling from Erin's screen as she brought a hand across the screen, selecting chips with her other hand as she viewed her navi entering combat with the monsters-no, viruses. She couldn't start thinking like her navi, now could she? She laughed slightly but then grew quiet as she slotted in chip after chip. This battle would be harder than the previous ones; there were enemies at every turn this time. She bent her head down, breathing in and out. She had to remain calm while her navi slaughtered these foes. They should be easily defeatable, given a complete and good strategy utilized.

"Okay, okay, lessee... One, two, four, six, nine. There are nine." Seraphim spoke with one eye half-shut, as if doing something of great importance as he examined his foes. The navi glanced at each one int turn, some were stronger than others, others were weaker. He raised the weapon, then basically flipped it open, revealing a triple slot magnum for his weapon, rather than the 8-shot revo-rifle. He stared at it for a second, looking as if he was making an attempt to remember something, then shook his head, taking the "spells" he had been channeled and materizlizing them in bullet form, placing each of the bullets into place, hearing them click within the weapon as he flipped it back, realigning the chamber with the handle. He cocked the hammer slowly, staring down the barrel as he lazily fired- and the gun near- jerked out of his hands, his arm was thrown back so far. Seraphim caught his gun-wielding arm with the other, holding it before it would inflict any more damage upon himself.

The navi's coat flew back, blazing in the sunlight of the net as he flipped the chamber open, emptying out the bullet shells as he replaced them with new ones. He repeated the process, aiming for three differing enemies and pulled the triggers, twice, three times. The impact pushed his arm back, but he was ready, steadying it with his other arm, his fingers digging deeply into the leather covering his arm. The navi spun, striking a pose as he blew smoke off the muzzle of the weapon, then brought the weapon back, sheathing it into the etherous light that signified its disappearance into his inventory. He reached over his shoulder, flickers of light emerging as he brought out a greatsword from his inventory and brought it down into the ground, causing sparks to break out all around it. And then the weapon burst into flames.

"Hoooryah!" Seraphim yelled out as he dashed the enemies, raising his weapon and bringing it across in a giant semicircle, slashing at all of the remaining enemies in his way to victory in this particular battle. He staggered to the side slightly, then brought the weapon upward, reversing the previous slash and bringing the blade across once again, taking the ungrace to swivel and land- the air seemed to lift him slightly, giving him enough time to reach out a hand and flip, looking as if he had pulled off something extremely great and filled with "win".

Seraphim decimates the enemies in a blaze of glory and slight overkill. Relatively unscathed, though, shaking in whatever passed for its boots, stood a single Kabutank that had been overlooked. As Seraphim used his enhanced speed to draw a slight cut across the virus' flank, it let loose with its attack. It managed to hit Seraphim square in the chest, but it seemed his support unit was unharmed.

Seraphim looked at the one that had hit him, staring at it as if it had popped out of midair. He raised his blade, bringing it over his head--- Then paused to consider a very important question. It seemed to hang over his head, just like the sword he held. He couldn't decide the answer to the question and furrowed his brow, tilting his head slightly. He finally asked his question with an indreculous tone to his voice.

"Er- Was that there before?" Seraphim asked, staring curiously at the final Kabutank. Erin sighed, slapped a hand up to her forehead as seraphim slid away his larger weapon, exchanging it for a more precise finisher as he drew the Sword-mesh-gun from its realm of nothingness in a nimbus of light. He looked along the sleek edge of the weapon, that deadly edge as he flipped open that chamber, emptying out the already used rounds. He brought the one round he had into existence, placing it within the gun and flipping it shut. He incanted his ritual before attacking-

"Final blow, Mark Ka Non!" Seraphim exclaimed, blasting at the final monster as his half-cloak flared up on both sides, a dramatic ending to the battle indeed.

-BATTLE START-
-BATTLE 4-
-BEGIN!-
Erin stared at the opposing enemies. She counted, and bit her thumb. There was only one way to kill them all in one shot, but it was a long one. The terrain? They didn't have enough elec chips to alter that significantly in one round. She had to give him the two bladed chips they had, not counting the pitiful rageclaw, which barely even counted for a weapon in the sense. It might be useful in a one on one battle, but this thing was simply made for one thing. Killing the masses of enemies, as well as being able to specialize. The rageclaw was barely useful in a large fight like this, maybe worthy as a simple distraction, but not much else. She slotted in the two chips as an afterthought, continuing to debate with herself on this issue.

Seraphim stared at the viruses, his sword dragging slightly behind him. Brandishing the giant weapon, he slammed it into the ground as hard as he could, then concentrated. He poured energy into the weapon, focusing it as his eyes blazed with all the energy he could put into the weapon. His gloves actually began to smoke as he threw his weight into the blade, directing the magic as best he could as electricity and fire swirled at the weapon's embedded tip and blasted their way up the weapon, ending at the hilt in a blazing, crackling wreath of fire about the blade. The navi pressed the weapon into the metal, then began his monologue.

"Fire, be my guide. Lightning, be my key. Steel, be my ally. Will, bind all three! ...Arc Blade!" Seraphim dragged the blade through the ground, slashing straight through and bringing his weapon up in a full circle, the lightning and fire blinking out- while the weapon cut through the air, leaving the acrid stench of ozone. The navi lifted the sword, the point facing straight down as he flipped it over. He tensed, then yelled.

"Hooryah!" Seraphim roared out, bringing the weapon down, and all hell broke loose as it broke the metal. Red lines jagged out toward three foes, then six, then continued splitting out, innocuous but apparent beneath the enemies- Seraphim drove the weapon even deeper into the ground. The energy in the weapon surged even further, circling outward and targeting foes before bursting into towers of lightning and fire. The air around the navi surged upward, almost visible as it caused Seraphim's half-double-cloak to furl upward, and his hair to stream upward, as the navi roared out words that were caught up in the crackling flames, the flaring doom that he had simply blasted upon his enemies.

Panting from the effort of pushing out the gigantic spell of doom, Seraphim slowly drew the blade from the ground, staring at the enemies. The blade was fully mundane again, and Seraphim was weary. He slowly dragged the weapon from the ground and stumbled at the enemies remaining, drawing up the blade and slashing all abouts, raising up the weapon with leaden arms and bringing it down with a smash, after smash. The navi repeated the process again and again until he stood there, panting, the blade dropped to the floor.
