Trent suddenly found himself face-to-face with viruses. In his own PET, nonetheless! Fortunately, they didn't appear to be a huge threat...or were they?

Trent scoffed at the viruses lined up before him. He had reason to suspect that they could be more than they were being shown, this was a virus bomb and a special mission. At the same time he had several battles to go through and who knows what stunts these guys could pull. The warrior couldn't help but get a little arrogant at the thought of these viruses being the only ones he would have to go after. "This is it? Big SP mission where we have to find the viruses and this is it?"
"Trent, don't go to far. You don't know what else could be hidden behind those display facts. The virus bomb was placed and made ready for just us. That means something in itself. Lets do this quick, but lets still be careful with this. I'm going to slot in a knife for you to use, do your thing." Mark took a short moment to cycle through the three knife chips they had. Nearly one of each element at this point. Mark slotted in the aquaknife, wanting to see the graphical override of the knife more so than the others.
Trent felt the data from the chip, and sent it to one of the knives on his side. He let it sit in that sheath, ready to go, as he pulled up two knives. Fingers sliding smoothly over the tactical grip, and the voice of leather as the blade scraped past it. Two knives were being held, each in reverse grip. Trent lowered his body and puhed off towards the first of the intruders he intended to delete.
Heavy feet barely touched the floor as he floated over the standard terrain to the Swordy-N virus. Trent always loved engaging this viruses, the thrill of the close combat taking over him in an instant. He ducked his body low, leading with his right hand in punching slash at the swordy. He threw himself into a roll after, jumped to his feet, and flipped his left blade to saber grip and quickly jabbed it forwards, attempting to sever what would be the spine. Trent twisted the blade once before yanking it out harshly, and pushing himself away from the virus with a light hand gesture.
Trent looked to the two other viruses. Trent was starting to loose himself in the thrill of the combat, the quick moves and the deadly slashes. A familiar battle wrath overtook his body mind, as he tightened his grip, a smirk covering his face. Trent threw his right hand back to his side sheathing the blade in one quick motion before withdrawing the aquaknife. The blade was made of water, but the form wasn't flowing like water, and instead held true to the shape and edge of a blade. Trent jabbed it forwards, throwing his weight behind the force of the attack with small drops of water landing on the ground behind him.
Pulling the knife back and switching his vision to the lonely metool, Trent rolled over to him. He got on his feet, his giant form far above the size and stature of the tiny virus. Trent delivered a quick kick with his heavy boot, to stun the creature, before taking the knife down upon him, powerfully. Trent did a quick change of stance to put the two other viruses behind him and waited.
"We should have used some of the other chips," Mark said after Trent had already made his assault. He knew Trent wuld be wanting to try his new processes, but the power of some of their chips couldn't be denied. Mark briefly hung his head low. At least he was good at puzzles.

As fast as he could, Trent raced over to the Swordy, and attempted a devastating backstab...unfortunately, the knight virus refused to cooperate, sidestepping the blade. Or whatever you called a virus moving to the side when it didn't actually have feet. He remained undeterred, however, and began to channel some inner rage for his personal use. Unfortunately, the Beetank decided to take advantage of this to launch a bomb right into his gut (15). Of course, that just angered the Navi further, and his AquaKnife demonstrated perfect precision and pain induction as it forced the Beetank to become junk data.
After seeing the brutal attacks, the Metool began to shiver in fear, too afraid to even react. However, it proved to be the world's luckiest Metool as the small watery blade exhibited perfect imprecision and laughter induction as Trent missed horribly to his right...

Mark had to take a moment to pause after the wave of knife attacks missed from Trent. He wasn't sure if he should allow a small chuckle to escape from his lips, or if his mere stunned silence demonstrated the emotions even better. Neverless, no noise came from Mark's mouth, knowing Trent wouldn't take to it well. And he wasn't doing so. Trent moved backwards slightly of the viral line, with equal parts shock and rage also filling his eyes. He gave no signs of losing control, merely starting to send the failure off as a mere fluke, a slip of the knife.
Mark wasn't so sure. Nothing seemed different about the viruses, but he could never be too sure. Another thing Mark couldn't be too sure of was the damage done to the aquaknife through the series of swings it had already undergone. Mark switched out the old elemental blade for a new one, sending the fireknife this time over. He found it oddly appropriate for Trent at this point, matching how he had to be feeling about that wave of attacks.
Trent knew the knew data once it appeared in his system, and he retracted the old blade from the new one. This blade was similar to the last one, showing its element as a blade substitute. Flames licked the air around Trent's hand as he looked back down at the metool once more. He wouldn't let the Metool go this time, there was no way. Trent held the knife in a forwards grip as he moved in for the attack on the metool. With the knife i the proper grip, Trent attempted to shove it under the helmet of the met, trying to delete it and override the protection that it was granted. Trent pulled the knife back from the attack, and waved it around, dismissing the fireknife and spreading the flames harmlessly around his feet in one swoop.
With his two normal blades back, Trent looked to the metool. He wanted to insure its defeat, and crouched in for a second attack on it. He led with a saber griped left knife, and attacked th same way as before. Trent carried his weight and rolled through the attack, moving to the side of the swordy. A vicious right reverse grip slash was aimed at the chest of the knightly virus. Trent took the chance he had to unleash yet another process attack on the poor swordy. A left hand followed through quickly, jabbing at the mid section of the target. Trent took his right knife reached it beyond the target, and pulled him down unto a waiting knee, as he kicked him backwards, away from combat.
Mark watched the battle, and wanted to send Trent one more chip which would help him, and linked in the Wavearm1 chip. This chip seemed to be a wonderful attacking chip, and Mark wanted to see exactly how it worked. When Trent uploaded the data, his arms bulked up greatly, even larger than before, and looked almost comically out or proportion to his own figure. Trent took a moment to look at his odd arms before slamming them powerfully into the ground. A shockwave rolled over the surface, going for each of the viruses in a straight homing line in the panels.
"Wow, that's pretty useful!" Mark said when the attack was launched. "We will have to remember that."

No longer afraid of Trent, the Metool raised its pickaxe, preparing to strike...unfortunately for it, the Navi was quicker, and his fiery blade proved to be more effective at the art of Metool deleting than the water version. He then did a speedy slash on the last virus, cutting down its HP by half. Needless to say, the Swordy wasn't happy about this, and since its attacker happened to be within range of its own weapon, decided to retaliate with a slice. Unfortuately for it, Trent proved to be too good at using highly sharp instruments, and was able to avoid it thanks to that skill.
...But alas, compliments were not in store for him, as his next innate attack happened to fall short, despite the fact the Swordy failed to budge even an inch. WaveArm, however, lacked this problem, deleting the knight with little problem.
With that, the PET was cured, and its internal Navi healing program activated, healing its host Navi to full health (+15). Certainly a plus to battling inside your own PET.

There was, however, a note where the viruses had assumed their battle stances. What could it say? Well, that's what reading is for.

If you are reading this, then you are the Navi that has accepted this mission. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. However, there has been minor deception until now...you will be unable to obtain reward data for the duration of this mission. But worry not! The GNA is keeping tabs of your progress, and you will receive it after you are finished, success or no. Best of luck to you!

As soon as the note was read by both Navi and operator, it began to shine brightly...a few moments later, it ceased to be a note, and was simply some kind of data fragment. Odd.
You got: DataFrag1!
Well, probably time to chase down another clue.
