Hmm, this looks dangerous. Maybe I can allow the knight to defend himself, and just look for a different fight, He thought. Looking at the two combatents, SummonerMan could tell that the dragon seemed to have the upper hand, but that didn't stop him from justifying his disinterest.
"What are you doing? Get in there." Rose said, still on Private.
"I don't know, what do I care if some stupid knight goes and gets himself killed. It's his fault for getting himself in over his head. What do I gain?" he asked, also on private. However, before Rose had a chance to respond, the Knight requested his assistance.
And that was when Summ noticed something. Damn it. She's a girl? Maybe I should help her. I mean, girls aren't often as strong as guys, and she could probably use my help. Besides, I can't turn down a girl in trouble, they're like children, so innocent and defenseless. He thought. "I'll help, though I don't know what help I'll be."
Rose looked on, slightly confused. "Why the sudden change of heart?" she inquired.
Summ moved closer to the battlefield, showing his intent to side with the knight, but stayed behind her. "Well, teammates are one of the greatest resources one can have in battle. Besides, she's a lady. I can't abandon a lady." he said.
Rose looked at him for a moment, thinking, Then why are you such an ass to me?. However, almost as if he had read her mind, he replied, "You don't count, Ma'am, you're a whiny brat."
"Whatever, ass." She said, as she went through the chips, and looked over the battle data.
SummonerMan, meanwhile, took this moment to explain his battle style to the Knight. "M'lady," he said, "As you stated before, I am a mage, and as such, I wouldd prefer to spend much of the battle afar, as I am not the most powerful brawler. If you could keep the wyvern off of me, I would be happy to provide damage from longer range."
"Also, while this be not the time, and mayhaps not my place to ask, may I request a name to refer to you by, M'lady?" he asked.
Is he trying to impress her with this semi-medieval style of speech? Rose wondered, as she listened to his conversation.
Summ had now begun to strategize. I think I'll save the Column Summoning for now. I'll start with Range, then move in. He then called up to Rose, "Cannon, now Ma'am."
As the Cannon materialized, he justified not using a stronger chip. I still don't know how he fights, and for all I know, I may only be able to damage it by shooting into it's mouth. So wasting a Cannon shouldn't be too bad.
He then took the time to aim the Cannon, and decided that the best target would be its body, despite how tempting shooting a cannonball down it's throat now seemed. After rotating it, adjusting the height, and pulling the string, the attack was headed towards its body, and SummonerMan prepared for a counter attack.
Well, I know it can attack with it's claws and it's fire-breath, so I'll need to be reday to dodge both of those. Maybe it's tail, too. he thought. And based on her actions, I'd say rolling should be effective.
"Oh by the way," he called, "any advise on how to take this guy down?"

"I believe," the knight paused to duck a swipe of claws. "That beating it to a pulp will cause it to stop its attack."
The knight punctuated her words by slashing at the dragon with her sword. She scored a hit to the beast's shoulder, but the dragon shrugged off the attack and backhanded the knight to the ground. It was about to go for the kill, jaws stretched wide to rip into the knight's neck, when a cannon blast exploded into the dragon's chest. The creature reared back and twisted around to face Summ.
"Aheh," the knight chuckled as she pushed herself to her feet and leaped around to get between Summ and the dragon. "My thanks for the assist, though I do believe you have angered it. Oh...And you may call me Dolce."

"Dolce." Rose sad, trying the name aloud. "Weird name, huh?" She said to SummonerMan over the private channel.
"Not like yours is much better, Rose." he replied, as he started thinking about what he needed to do next.
"At least my name is Spanish for sweet." she murmured, as she went through the chips.
"Spanish is dulce, dolce means sweet in Italian."Summ replied, still weighing his options. "HiCannon, please."
"Whatever, Close enough." Rose said, as she sent the requested chip.
Once the larger HiCannon chip arrived, Summ spun it, targeting the Dragons head. A head shot will probably make it more angry with me, but with any luck, it may also make it pause long enough to throw off another attack. I mean, I'd probably be stunned for a short period of time were I hit in the head with a cannonball. He thought, as he lined it up to the best of his ability and gave the rope a sharp pull.
Then, not wanting to stay in the same place for too long, he dived to his side, landing on the top of his back and completing the roll into a standing position. "Shotgun." He called up to his operator.
Once the gun was in his hands, he decided to more carefully line up the aim on this one. Maybe the eye this time, if I can do it. He thought, as he started trying to line up the rifle's sights with the creature's eye. After he felt good about the aim, he pulled the trigger.
As the gun dissolved into the air, he looked at Dolce. I hope she stays safe. If she takes much more damage, I may have to start protecting her.

A high powered cannonball exploded into the dragon's head, sending the creature reeling backward and giving Dolce time to deliver a wicked slash with her sword to the creature's underbelly. The dragon grunted in pain and grasped Dolce's sword in its claws and snapped the blade in half. Then it turned its attention on Summ and leaped into a dive...Only to be met with a shotgun blast to the face.
The beast fell back to the earth and dug its claws into the ground. The dragon stretched its neck and opened its jaws wide, unleashing a torrent of flames. The inferno billowed out from the mouth of the beast, engulfing the knight and the "wizard" in scarlet flame. The flames died down and the dragon opened wide for another blast, but Dolce managed to get her shield up in time and deflected the fiery breath.

Damn, we did get hit. And now it looks like I have more responsibility for this fight. Summ thought, turning towards Dolce. "Dame Dolce, I must thank you for your fast reflexes and useful shield. However, it seems you've lost your sword. WIll you be able to go on fighting?" He asked.
"Either way, I shall take over the shield for now." He said, as he requested a Guard1 from Rose. As the large, man sized yellow shield appeared in front of him, SummonerMan stepped in front of Dolce and placed it down in front of him, hoping it would be a good enough shield for the time being. Well, while it's up, I might as well summon the Column, that way Dolce will have something to hide behind if she has lost the ability to fight, and I'll be able to run in, since I won't have to worry about her.
With these thoughts, SummonerMan pulled out a card and sent it into orbit around him. Once it had completed it's rotation, the column appeared, between him and the Guard. Looking around both obstacles, he tried to stay safe while watching for the Dragon. Alright, once I have Dolce settled in, I'll just grab my sword and shield and head in for the slaying. He thought, ever vigilant of the Dragon's current location.

"Don't worry," Dolce muttered as she grasped the hilt of her broken sword. "I'm still in this."
The female knight grapsed the hilt in both hands and channeled some of her power into the shattered blade. A wave of energy billowed out of the hilt, creating a blade of sapphire energy that glittered in the light of the Net. Dolce dashed toward the dragon and leaped through the air, bringing her sword down on the creature's neck. The blade sliced cleanly through, leaving no mark but causing the dragon to roar in pain. The sword sputtered out as Dolce landed, the brilliant light fading to nothing. Dolce followed up her attack by slicing the shattered blade across the dragon's flank.
The dragon responded by whacking Dolce with its tail, sending the knight flying across the battlefield to land in a heap on the floor. Summ's column erupted from the earth just in front of Dolce, shielding her from the dragon's wrath. The dragonb turned on the summoner, leaping forward to snap Summ in half, only to rebound off the Navi's shield and be sent tumbling end over end.

Damn it, Dolce, you just moved from being an asset to a liability. SummonerMan thought angrily. And I guess it would be wrong to let you die, so I'll need to defend you. But if I didn't, I'd be able to kill this stupid dragon here and now.
SummonerMan quickly made his way towards where Dolce was heaped on the ground. He kneeled onto the ground, and reaching his arm out, placed it under both her arms. He then stood up, supporting the armored woman with said arm, pulling her closer to his body for further support. "Sorry, M'lady, but you need to stay with me now."
He called up to rose for a shield, getting the buckler sized one this time. Alright, whatever, I just need a shield, to keep this now useless woman safe, while I cart her around. He pulled his left arm, the one sporting his nice yellow buckler, in front of them, to protect his ally and himself, as he started running towards the Dragon.
"Dash Attack Chip." He demanded, curtly, to Rose. As he approached the dragon, he faced it's crouched body. Activating the chip's energies, he sent himself hurtling towards it, all the while holding tightly to Dolce, so as not to drop her. He spent this action hoping that a final bash to the monster would be enough to take it down. If it is, then we'll be all set, and maybe I'll find out more about why there is a dragon wandering the net.
Rose watched the scene, relatively pleased. Well, at least he's making the right moral choices when it counts. I mean, He could have just left her there.

And the dragon died. Dash is a pretty powerful BattleChip.
"Heh," Dolce laughed mirthlessly. "It looks like you ended up protecting me. Thanks for the assist."
Dolce pushed herself from her feet, her armor shimmering slightly to be replaced by a long scarlet gown, and curtsied to Summ. She smiled brightly, the grim of battle gone from her features as the GMO kicked in. A slender dagger replaced the sword at Dolce's side, the blade in a black leather sheathe with silver inlay.
"I thank thee, kind sir." Dolce bobbed her head. "Of course, this battle was mine fault to begin with. As you aidded me, I shall tell you what created this disaster. This dragon is mine own. I created him from a program that I came across during my travels. I believe the NetPolice refer to his kind as Support Programs." Dolce paused and stared at Summ a little sheepishly. "However, he was not strong enough for my liking. I had decided to use him to train against in preparation for battling viruses. However, he fell to easily. Thus did I attempt to increase his strength. I-I succeeded; however, I lost control. He became too powerful, too bloodthirsty. He grew enraged and attacked. We've been battling for all across ACDC, tearing up the Net. Seeing his strength, I now believe that he would have defeated me in time. Without your aid, I would surely be destroyed."
Dolce glanced back at the dragon, watching its form fade to a basketball sized ebody orb engraved with jade runes. It was the core of the support program's data. With it, Dolce could rebuild her dragon and try again.
"No," Dolce whispered. "I don't deserve a second chance. Not yet. I want you to have his data. Create a Support Program of your own and may it serve you far better than it has me. Do you accept this charge?"

After a quick bow, Summ looked back at the much more stunning Dolce. "I would be honored, M'lady." He said seriously, extending his hand. "I thank you for your kindness."
I guess this fight was worth it, after all. He thought. I mean, I netted a free Support Program. Quickly switching to private chat, he sent a silent message to Rose. "Sweet deal, eh?"
"You're going to accept? You're not going to reassure her that she's a strong, capable person, and that she certainly should keep it and try again?" She asked somewhat surprised.
"Why? She offered, I'm taking." Summ replied.
I guess he may not be as nice a person as his actions seemed to show. Rose thought. Oh well, at least he's a good person, I guess.
Summ, although satisfied not only with himself for his recent good deeds, but also with the reward, kept a serious tone. I mean, I guess it would be somewhat horrible if I seemed happy when she's so down. And I don't want to upset her. He thought.

"Then you accept the reward?" Dolce asked. "Good."
The lady knight gathered up the glowing orb and offered it to Summ. It pulsed lightly in his grasp.
"I thank thee again," Dolce smiled. "If you are in need of me, do not hesitate to call upon my name."
Dolce disappeared in a flash of light, but not without leaving SUmm with some final words.
"Don't forget to have that thing registered with the NetPolice when you are ready."

"I shall, and I will." He replied to her comments on calling her and registering his new SP, respectively. "Farewell."
With these thoughts, Summ glanced over the globe of glowing energy, before sending it to rest in the PeT. "Well, we'll have to register that later."
"Yeah." Rose replied. "What should it be?" She asked. "I mean, it can be whatever we want it to, right?"
"Support Programs are almost totally customizable. So I'd say we can do whatever." Summ answered.
"Well then, what should we make it?" she asked.
"You have final say." SummonerMan chose to remind her.
"Well, I'm asking for your opinion."
"Alright, then I say it should be a dragon."
"A dragon?"
"Yeah, a dragon. Do you have a problem with that suggestion?"
"No. Not really. But why a dragon?"
"I dunno."
"Becuase you secretly feel bad for Dolce and her SP, so you want to honor them by replicating it's theme?"
Summ turned away from the screen, but still responded just as cooly as ever. "Nah, I just thought that it seemed like a cool idea. But if you don't want to, then make your own decision."
"No, a dragon sounds decent. I'll take it into consideration." Rose said. "So, are you going on, or are you going to call it quits?"
Summ looked up at her. "I don't know. I think I've proven to you that I can take these battles, and I'm pretty satisfied with the rewards. So it's up to you."
Rose thought for a moment. I am getting somewhat tired of this. But I think we could probably make it further, and it would be even more satisfying. Looking back at Summ, she made up her mind. "All right. I say we call it a day, and we can have another run like that soon, since I am kind of interested in this Support Program."
Knew it, I outlasted her. Summ thought. "As you wish Ma'am." He replied, and with that Rose jacked him out of the net.
