Summ's First Run

"Damn." SummonerMan said, snapping his fingers. "I took damage. Maybe I should kick it up a notch before I take anymore." He also considered the state of his plan. If I want to go through with it, I need t go now, he thought, I don't think the column will stay up much longer.

Rose was moderately satisfied with the battle so far. Well, he did take damage, but we still have our Recovery chip, and the MiniEnergyPack if the situation was looking really bleak after this battle. She accessed her chips and asked, "So, Summ, what will you need now?"

Not taking a moment to consider the question, he answered, "Ringlog, Ma'am. Make it quick." After a brief second, he added, "Please, of course." Before long, the Ringlog chip began materializing in the form of a log, and Summ was ready for it. He quickly wrapped his arms around the location where the thing would be appearing. Once it had materialized, SummonerMan stood up with the large log in his hands. Damn, this thing is heavier than I thought. At least I lifted with my knees. he thought.

Looking around, he tried to spot the nearest Fishy, or any nearby group of more than one fishy, and prepared his attack. Bending his knees slightly, he rolled the log forcefully out of his arms, and pushed off with his legs for extra force. Wow, that is not the easiest way to attack with a ringlog, and I don't think I'll ever do that again. He decided.

Looking around to make sure there were no immediate threats around him, he dropped off the column, grabbing the edge of the top with his hands briefly before finishing his fall, in order to avoid hurting himself.

Leaning against the Column, SummonerMan was prepared to dodge at a moments notice, should the moment require it. "Hey, Ma'am, please send the shotgun." he said. While I'm here, I might as well see if I can add some more damage. he decided.

"Here you go. Make good use of it." And SummonerMan did as she instructed. "Thanks, I planned on wasting it intentionally, just for kicks." he replied sarcastically, as he leaned around the column and lined up his aim with one of the nearest Fishies. keeping it lined up on his target, he steadies his aim and fired.

Damn it, this is never going to end. He complained mentally.

SUMMARY
1. Ringlog at a group of Fishies, whichever ones are closest (If I must choose, lets say CDE). [50 Wood, may hit multiple enemies]
2. Dodge, hide behing column.
3. Shotgun at Nearest Fishy (Again, if I must choose, let's say, A Splash B ) [50 dmg, possible splash]
- - - - Untapped Power [+10]
Not much time before school, so let's just say the shotgun hits, log hits two, column gets attacked again.

Watching most of his attacks connect, then seeing the column get attacked once more, SummonerMan started plotting immediately. Well, I think the column is going to go down soon, so I better use my ranged chips while I still have the luxury of this partial protection. He deiced.

Calling up to his operator, he requested the chips he wanted, "Send the HiCannon, followed by the Cannon." Rose took a moment, considering whether or not to do it, as he didn't ask politely, but decided to send him the chip. Well, I can speak to him about it after this battle. He seems to be on a roll for now, at least.

As the large, dark gray HiCannon appeared to his side, SummonerMan wasted no time. Holding firmly onto the rope, he spun the wheels with his foot, changing it's direction, and pulled the HiCannon's barrel upwards so as to place the Fishies in the cannonball's projected arc. After Lining up the HiCannon on the Fishy that he hadn't hit yet, he swiftly tugged the rope which caused the HiCannon to produce both a loud noise and a large cannonball.

In a matter of moments, the smaller, gray Cannon had appeared, with it's string in SummonerMan's hand. Damn, I feel so vulnerable, just sitting here constantly. He thought, as he rotated this Cannon to face the Fishy which had the most HP of those he had already hit. But with all this dangerous cracked terrain, I'm probably better off not moving, especially with these Cannons, which are likely to break the cracked tiles. He lined up the barrel with the targeted Fishy, pulled the string, and sent the cannonball barreling through the air.

Looking around, he decided to stay where he was. He was fully prepared to hit the dirt if necessary, or to drop back onto his hands in a "crab-walk" position, or to side step onto one of the few non-broken panels around him, whatever moderately stationary dodging would be required to avoid being hit by the Fishies, and wouldn't cause him to fall through a cracked panel, or into a broken one. Besides the cracked panels, there's that gaping death pit over there, too. These fights seem to be getting significantly harder each battle. But it doesn't matter, it'll still be a breeze. He thought to himself.

As SummonerMan continued to await attacks to dodge, he began deciding on his next plan of attack.

[FIX'D]

SummonerMan aimed his cannons with great skill, taking out two of the Fishy with no issues. A third Fishy flew at him, but the Navi dodged nible away. A forth Fishy circled the battlefield, awaiting its chance, while the final FIshy dived bombed the column. The column crumbled beneath the onslaught; however, the virus was not fast enough to escape the falling stone and was smashed beneath it. The ground shook and more of the cracked terrain disentigrated into the vast nothingness, leaving SummonerMan on the edge of the abyss.

Rose watched over the scene in genuine interest now, wondering what would happen next. After the column had turned to rubble, the battle scene became slightly more interesting. Well, if that is any sort of a warning, that ground could drop out at any second. I'd advise Summ to get away, but I'm sure he can take care of himself. besides, I'm kinda curious as to what's at the bottom of that abyss. She mused.

SummonerMan was in a slightly more perilous situation, so his reaction wasn't quite the same. As the ground shook and he heard the disintegration of tiles, he turned to his left. Looking out over the deep abyss that stretched before him, he decided that he may want to move. If it falls away any more, I'll be dropped in. And I'd kind of like to not fall into any semi-bottomless pits, thank you very much. He thought to himself, taking a few careful steps backward, before turning around and starting to sprint. Of course, he planned his footing very carefully during his sprint. I need to be careful, because even away from the giant growing pit I can still fall through cracked terrain.

After not too long a distance,, when he felt he was safely spaced from the pit, he turned back towards the viruses. Well, thanks to that little run of mine, I seem to be far away from the location where I started this fight. But they'll have to come over here if the want to attack me. They seem to only be able to fight at close range, as far as I've heard. He decided.

Choosing to act defensively to take advantage of this situation, he called to Rose for a Guard Chip. After she consented, SummonerMan watched this Guard spawn into existence. It appeared in his hand, like many other chips, and took the form of a classic shield, about two feet wide and three feet tall, and featuring the yellow and green metool pattern. Holding it before him, he muttered, "Come and Get me." quietly, awaiting the Fishies' arrivals.

He planned, after blocking any attack that he could, to side step any follow up attacks that may be targetted against him. Though I guess I might as well be prepared for the other thing that's worrying me, he thought, eyes glancing back at the pit. He made sure to watch it out of the corner of his eye, in case it should collapse and randomly overtake the entire battlefield. In which case, of course, I would run like hell to get out of here. he explained to himself, But that probably won't happen, so for now, I'll focus on the Fishies.

SummonerMan managed to scramble away from the side of the abyss, repositioning himself before the viruses could cause his demise. One of the wounded Fishy dive at Summ, attempting to trip the Navi, but Summ managed to get his shield up in time and the virus rebounded off the guard. The second FIshy attacked, but missed Summ by mere inches.

"Alright, I'll finish 'em off now." he said, tired of this fight. "Send me the Sword."

Rose, though somewhat doubtful of his abilities, was able to accept that he could finish the battle in this round. That sword chip I have is rather strong. she thought, as she sent it to him.

The sword appeared in SummonerMan's grasp, and he instantly set off to accomplish his goal. He dashed towards the FIshy with more health, careful to keep away from the pit of doom and any misplaced cracked panels. He lept into the air, slicing the sword swiftly in a downwards arc, hoping to rend the virus in two. He landed, crouched, with one hand on the ground for balance, the other one wielding the sword.

Pushing off, he got into a standing position, and headed towards the other Fishy with a good running start. This time he never left the ground, instead his sword sliced through the air in an upwards arc, heading towards the left.

With any luck, that should have done them in. he thought, as he allowed the sword to disappear. "Recov10 chip." he said aloud. I should make sure to take advantage of the healing before the battle routine ends. he thought.

Rose saw the logic behind his request, and sent him the chip. He is being a little over confident. I mean, it's not like these viruses are epically strong, but he still shouldn't be so sure in his victory.

SummonerMan had no such thoughts. He was full of a sense of accomplishment and success as the healing energies of the Recov10 chip rushed through him, certain to bring him back up to near-peak fighting condition.

Well, apparently his confidence was justified. Rose thought to herself upon the victory. This time.

"Hey, here's the Reward Data." SummonerMan informed her as he sent it to the PeT. And it's pretty awesome, too. Strong, and can smash multiple enemies. Not to mention the impact it has. He thought, satisfied with the results. "I must admit that I did rather well in that battle."

"Admit?" Rose questioned sarcastically, "You practically flaunt it, your so full of yourself."

"Hey, I'm not full of myself." SummonerMan replied calmly. "I'm just justifiably proud of my modest skills."

He seems to be trying to act modest, but it's so contradictory to his actions . . . I guess I'll just ignore it. She thought, now looking over the Reward Data. "We did earn a pretty nice new chip. Dash Attack, it can do 90 damage to up to five enemies." She read off the description. "Hey, if you had had this before, you could've ended the fight with one move." She said, somewhat impressed by the strength of the chip which SummonerMan had earned.

"Yeah, but as you could see, I didn't need such a thing." He replied.

Rose could only roll her eyes. "Just go on and find another match." She commanded.

"Yes Ma'am." Summ replied, as he headed off, and not in the direction of the giant pit of death. Although I may want to pay a bit more attention, so I don't end up in any worse terrain than I'm in now. he thought. Though it's not a big deal. After all, what fun is a totally bland battlefield?

(Battle 4, please)
SummonerMan moved through the net, leaving behind the great gaping pit, but the area still looked like it had been a battlefield just a moment before. He comes across another group of viruses soon after, these one's ripping apart the already weakened Net.

Battle 4! Fight!
Damn, a bunch of them. and they seem even stronger. Maybe a Dash Rush will help me wipe them out more quickly? Summ thought, upon encountering the viruses. Opening up the private chat channel, he requested their newest chip as he lined up the best point of assault he could find, and a safe route to arrive at said attacking point.

Once he could feel that the chip was ready for use, he ran towards his goal location, quickly so that he wouldn't miss his chance to catch the viruses off guard. My main goal is to hit the Spikey, who's strongest he reviewed, almost at his destination. Then I want to try and hit the Swordies, who are also pretty decent. The Metools aren't bad at all, so they're the least important.

He had now arrived at the location. Getting his own manual running start, he got right up by the Spikey, coming at him so as to form a line with the Swordies, at the least. Once he was near enough, he placed his shoulder in front of him, football-tackle style, and activated the chip.

As the chip activated, he gained a great burst of power, and sent himself at the Spikey, hoping to shoulder check him and as many other nuisances as he could hit.

Rose watched as SummonerMan pulled off his manuever. Well, if it works, then he would be ending this battle pretty quickly, and it would be a rather economical use of the resources we have available. She thought. And even if it doesn't work, atleast the loser is mixing things up a little, not using the same exact strategy everybattle.

SummonerMan dashed forward, his body surging with power. The spikey and one of the swordys was destroyed by the charge, bowled over and trampled. The second swordy was ready for the attack and deflected the charge with his sword. However, the virus' sword snapped in half, leaving him defenseless. One metool attacked, but missed horribly, and the other two sort of huddled there.

As SummonerMan completed his tackle, he ended up in front of a Swordy who had attempted to stop the Dash Attack, but ended up just breaking his own sword. "Hah, idiot." he muttered, before requesting the sword chip from Rose.

Upon the swords materialization, he brought the sword over his head and cleaved it downwards, hoping to have utterly destroyed the already broken Swordy. Immediately after this action, he checked over his shoulder before taking a step back, making sure it was a safe location, and looked around, watching for any attacks.

"Shotgun, Ma'am." he said, awaiting the chip.

"You've got it." she replied, sending him the chip. As soon as this chip appeared, he began lining up his aim. "You're not going to move anymore?" she questioned.

"No way. It's not worth the risk. This whole place is cracked to hell." he answered, as his sight settled on the nearest Metool, in a close enough proximity to its ally that both could feasibly be hit with the same attack. After steadying the gun, he pulled the trigger and sent the shot heading off in the direction of his target.

I wonder what's up with all this cracked stuff anyways. I mean, was there an intense battle here just a bit ago or something? It's weird to see so much cracked and broken terrain. Perhaps this area of the net is old and broken? Well, whatever it is, it doesn't matter. I'll have time to ponder after the battle. he thought.

"One Left." Summ said aloud. "The Cannon, Ma'am." As said chip arrived, Summ was rather satisfied. All I should need is this last shot, then I'll take the liberty of Recovering while the battle Routine is still active. He thought.

Rotating the small cannon, he took just enough time to line up the cannon. He then used his foot to align it vertically, and with a quick glance down the field, he yanked the string.

As the Cannon bellowed and the cannonball went barreling towards his target, SummonerMan spoke his request to his operator. "Send me the Recov10, before the battle routine ends."

Rose, of course had no problem with the request. Why not heal during every battle, if you are injured? Although he could have requested it, as opposed to an order. All the same, she sent him the chip in a timely manner.

SummonerMan, upon sensing that the chip was ready, activated it and sent the Recov10's healing energies rushing through his body, healing him. Now, He thought, I wonder what our rewards will be.

"All right, I'll admit you're doing decently." Rose said, as SummonerMan went to send the rewards.

"Decently? I think I handled that battle quickly and skillfully." SummonerMan replied, as he looked over the Reward Data. Hmm, not bad at all. A Heatshot, which is like fiery cross between a Cannon and a Shotgun chip, and 200 zenny. He thought, as he sent the data.

Rose looked over the data, and was similarly pleases. "Not half bad for a decent fight." She commented.

Again with the word "decent". Apparently she has a problem giving talented people the respect and gratitude they deserve. SummonerMan thought, as he looked around. "Hey, what do you think happened here, anyways? First all that cracked stuff next to a giant pit, and now even more cracking, even after walking a bit away."

Rose thought for a moment, but couldn't come up with much. "I don't know, I hadn't given it much thought. I mean, maybe this section was just built poorly, or fell into disrepair? That, or someone's doing it on purpose." She suggested.

"But why would they bother doing it on purpose?" Summ asked, as he started walking.

"I don't know. It doesn't matter though. I guess. You seem to be doing fine regardless." Rose replied. "Alright, ready for our fifth battle in a row?" she asked, rhetorically, of course.

"Yeah, why not? We've made it this far without taking any serious damage. And we still have the Recov10 and the MiniEnergyPac, if we need it." He said. "At this rate, I could keep going all day."

That's being a little confident. I mean, the further we wander, it seem like the battles just get harder and harder. Especially in a row with little to no healing in the middle. But, whatever, I guess he should be a little confident. He wouldn't get anywhere if he was too unsure of himself. Rose mused. "Well, you'll have to prove that. Now go on and prove yourself with another fight." She said.

"Yes, Ma'am." Summ replied, smirking as he began to wander off.

[Battle 5, Please]
((Mwahahaha! I rolled a 6!))

As SummonerMan wandered deeper into the net, he can hear the sounds of a fierce battle raging. Flashes of light can be seen in the distance, accompanied by the deep, dul booms of explosions. It looks liek whatever caused the cracked terrain is ust beyond the bend. What is SummonerMan going to do?
As Summ approached this intense battle, he paused.

"What are you doing?" Rose asked, "Don't you want to check it out?"

Summ observed the flashing lights and booming. "Well, as interesting as it seems, I'd rather not have to fight against two warring sides. Or die." he replied, matter-of-factly.

"Sounds to me like you are wussing out. It's probably just another ight between two groups of viruses. You can deal with them" She said.

"Well, you aren't the one putting yourself in danger." SummonerMan answered.

"Whatever, aren't you at least mildly curious as to who or what is fighting over their?" She inquired.

"Alright, I'll admit that much. But mild curiosity isn't worth fighting a war, Ma'am." He stated.

"You have to do it. If you don't, you're admitting that you can't handle a few measly battles, and I may lose all respect for you." She said. "We can heal you after the battle, if you get too injured."

Summ rolled his eyes. "Fine whatever, just shut up. But I'm going to try and sneak up, and see if I can figure out what's going on without being spotted. Just switch to private chat if you need to speak. And if it is way too intense, I'm sneaking away." He informed her.

"Alright, whatever you say." Rose said, now on the Private channel. And with that, SummonerMan began heading off towards the battle. He picked his steps carefully, and planned to take whatever visual cover he could get. He stepped cautiously, slowly, and quietly, and crept close to the ground. This had better be interesting, and worth risking my life for a chance at seeing. If not, I'll be very disappointed. He thought.

SUMMARY
1-3. Creep and Sneak towards Battle [Figure out what's up, try to not be noticed]
As Summ sneaks forward, he sees the cause of the commotion. A Navi, stylized after a Medieval knight, was locked in combat against what could only be called a dragon. The knight Navi was clad in silvery mail and held a massive sword BattleChip in a double handed grip. She looked quite imposing, but she was already wounded and was quickly tiring. The dragon was large, about twice the size as the Navi, and stood on all fours, its wings folded against its side. The dragon's scales were scarlet, darkening to jet along its belly. Its claws were as long as daggers and serrated teeth bristled from its mouth. It too was wounded, but looked a lot better off than the knight.

The two opponents clashed, the knight swinging her sword in an overhand chop that the dragon knocked aside with one massive paw. The dragon reared up and struck with its other forearm, striking the knight acrossed one shoulder. The knight fell and rolled with the blow...And kept on rolling to avoid and explosion of flame that escaped the dragon's maw.

The knight Navi rose to her feet and spotted Summ hiding and called to him.

"You there!" she shouted. "Wizard! Care to lend a hand?"
