Red and Binary

At first, the plan seemed to be working rather well. Binary weighed almost nothing, and Red launched herself up into the air. Before Hazard could splutter indignantly at them, the Badass Hottie had fired a blast of rosy wind from her hands, propelling the two Navis up towards the battlements behind which Trebuchetman stood, taking aim at the NetPolice below.

Hazard shouted something very rude, and was punished by a smack in the midsection by Myun. She stepped right over the Support Unit and kicked spectacularly off the wall of the tower. Item, in cannon form, took aim at Hazard and fired, but she flipped straight over the shell. There was a deep boom and a blast of dust as the missed shot slammed into the side of the outpost and blew a few small chunks of its scarred face loose.

Evinn swung his dual revolvers up as Hazard descended towards him. With an impossible sense of balance, she kicked right off Evinn's head with one reinforced boot. The recently re-converted NetPoliceman yelled as he was knocked backwards off his feet. Hazard sailed even higher in a neat little flip. At the peak of her arc, she swung her hand towards. An explosion of air burst out from her palm at such unbelievable speeds that it propelled her even further up, hard on the tail of Red and Binary.

It seemed like the two civilians were going to make it.

Then the Cherry Blossom Spiral Gust ran out.

Selflessly, Red hurled the rope-like Binary straight at Trebuchetman. Something creaked hugely, and one of the massive Navi's giant arms broke free of its restraint. The arm swung up and over, and the payload of stone it was loaded with went flying straight down towards the two NetPolicemen at the foot of the distribution centre. Evinn leapt clear of the descending boulder, but Item-the-cannon was sent tumbling by the meteor.

The other trebuchet arm whipped over the Navi's shoulder like a windmill. The other boulder met Binary in midair. Instead of erupting across Trebuchetman's armour, Binary's Energybomb exploded on contact with the giant rock, splattering bits of goop harmlessly in all directions. The Binary-rope dropped to the roof of the tower, just a foot short of the parapet. Trebuchetman grinned in triumph.

Red reached as far as she could, her arm almost slipping from its socket, for the edge of the outpost's roof.

Her fingers scraped metal...

..and then she was falling.

The Cherry Blossom Spiral Gust just hadn't been powerful enough to get her all the way to the top of the tower. As she dropped through the fifty feet she had just ascended, the smooth side of the distrubution centre whipping by too quickly to find purchase on, something black and orange shot by, this time going up.

Hazard reached the top of her Airshot's range. Her entire left arm morphed into some kind of massive, claw-mounted gauntlet, which she jammed into the side of the tower. It stuck there, leaving her five feet short of the top of the building. However, unlike Red, she was anchored in place by the Rageclaw that she had summoned. Hazard pulled a face at Red as the Badass Hottie dropped past her, en route to a date with the ground.

Despite the imminent peril of splattering that she was facing, Red was still intrepid enough to get off another attack. The smirk was wiped straight off Trebuchetman's face as an aqueaous dragon exploded out of the roof beneath his feet. As if attracted by the presence of water, whether it was salty or not, Binary's multitude of electrified tentacles dealt Trebuchetman a good slapping.

Another cannon shot from Item rocked the tower. Hazard bellowed wordlessly as the shell crashed into her. Evinn shot a dark look up at the Mafioso, but there was a medical kit open next to him, and he was too busy patching up Item-the-cannon's injuries to retaliate with violence. Hazard's anchoring Rageclaw slid several feet down the face of the distribution centre, but a clenching of her fist brought her descent to a halt.

But the Badass Hottie was still falling, and the ground was coming up fast. She was going to have to do something if she didn't want to become red roadkill...

Unnoticed thus far by pretty much everyone, another girl had appeared atop the tower, watching the fun from the edge of the parapet.

Red grinned as she could see the top, she had launched Binary, and seemed to be on the verge of reaching the building...

That is, until she realized her signature attack powered by her own abilities had stopped.
"OH SHIT!" the Badass Hottie swore as she descended towards the ground at an alarming rate of speed. The wind navi glanced toward the top as the head of the mighty water dragon clamped its jaws on Trebuchetman, smiled a little bit, then turned her attention to the rapidly looming ground beneath her, not minding Hazard's rushing past her, but clearly focused on the amount of damage that would be dealt to herself upon impact with the battlefield below her.

Her reaction needed no thought.

"FUUKA SHOURAI!" the red-caped wonder screamed, throwing her hands forward in the direction of the ground, as she attempted to force a mighty gust of wind toward the earth, hopefully creating a safety net of breezing air to help gently slow her descent.

Upon landing, the crimson crusader grimaced as she bent over, panting, and clutched her knees.

"I almost *pant* got *pant* up *pant* there... *wheeze*" Red groaned, hyperventilating as she slowly rose to a standing position. The red-caped wonder glared at the navi hanging on the wall, then started strategizing with her operator.

"What now?" she asked.

"Well, Binary is stuck up there, all alone, with no support, but he might be fine. It seems we'll have to defeat this young wall-climbing lady first though," Shin mused, drawing some chips out of his folder.

"Guess so," Red shrugged as she turned to Item and Evinn. "Alright, when you guys are done doing whatever you're doing, help me blast down that Mafia chick, 'kay?" the Badass Hottie said to the two NetPolice Operatives as she once again, faced the fireman-coat-wearing navi.

"It'll take some excellent marksmanship to bring this girl down," Red commented, raising her hands at an angle toward Hazard, as if reaching out to embrace someone.

"These two should do the trick," the netop advised, slotting in two battlechips for his navi.

Red grinned as two bazookas materialized out of thin air and landed softly on her shoulders. Targeting scopes shot out of the side of each of the guns, covering her eyes, but letting her aim clearer at her target.

"Fabulous~ Just what I needed," the crimson crusader said, smirking as she let the targeting vectors lock-on to the wall-bound navi, her fingers on the triggers.

"LOCK-ON ENGAGED" was the message that appeared both in front of Red's eyes and on Shin's PET screen.

"FIRE!" the pair shouted in unison as the navi pulled the triggers of the bazookas, steam erupting from the back of the gun barrels, propelling out two gigantic blasts of destructive energy to sear through the air of the netscape. The bullets of the MarkCannon chips headed toward Hazard, as messengers of her possibly imminent destruction.

Myun secretly threw an orb of her own pink energy into one of the blasts as well, augmenting it with the power to possibly break bones, if navis had them, to the already powerful blast. She then got in front of her mistress, arms crossed over her body as she prepared to defend her owned at any cost.

The Badass Hottie eyed the building, examining if any attacks would come from the Mafiosi party. If they would, she would perform a graceful series of backflips as her pet defended her, trying to avoid the attacks.

In the midst of all this, Red's thoughts went to her partner.
You better not die on us, Binary. The wind navi thought as she attempted to avoid incoming attacks.

Binary knew that Red wasn't going to be able to hold onto the side of the building for more than a few seconds. Binary knew that he could easily send a few unelectrified tentacles her way, saving her from certain deletion. Binary knew that Chris was sending PM after PM at him, yelling for him to do exactly that. But he didn't. Why? It was obvious to him; Red was a strong Navi, stronger than him for sure. If anything could delete her anytime soon, it wouldn't be a 50-foot plummet off the side of a building.

Once Red's fingers finally gave out and sent her on her way downwards, Chris decided that the PMs weren't going anywhere but into extra energy for the ElecReel. He thus decided to actually talk, well, yell to Binary. "Dammit, why didn't you do as I told you? You could've reached her easily, I checked, so why didn't you?" he shouted.

"Red_Riding_Hood.EXE contains battle routine experience exceeding own! Possibility of survival: 90%+!" Binary answered, still using up the last little bits of power from the ElecReel to jab at Trebby, but most of them were missing due to the lack of power. Finally, the chip's power gave out, and he was left powerless. Not for long, though, as Binary let out a quick, "Requesting: Firehit1! Cannon!"

Not one to disobey his Navi, Chris quickly sent the data, but wondering what he was planning. Still, he couldn't do anything, being a human incapable of physically entering the Net in any way, so he just decided to take another slug of coffee, kick back in his chair, and watch the show while making incredibly horrific run-on sentences.

Meanwhile, Binary had ditched the tentacles completely, and the puddle-form for that matter. He had reverted back to his normal form, but he wasn't stopping there. Chris was quite sure, for example, that Binary didn't usually hunch over like that, his left arm palming the ground to give him support. And his right arm somehow being at least three times bigger than him and burning in a bright white flame wasn't that normal either. Still, it looked cool, and Binary knew that this, combined with his EMP (which he'd already applied to the Firehit) would be enough to bring Trebuchetman down, while he then went on to pursue his second target.

As his nonexistant face raised up to look straight into Trebuchetman's eyes, Binary's coiled up cody suddenly sprang up, sending him sailing into the air. As he raised his titanic arm in preparation for a strike, Chris couldn't help but mutter a, "Gomu Gomu noooooo..." It wasn't hard to figure out where Binary'd come up with all these moves he's been using.

"Gigant Pistol!" Chris finished as Binary brought his gargantuan flaming fist right down upon, if he'd calculated it right, Trebby's large head. The arm, being so beefed up and EMP'd like it was, decided to follow the laws of gravity, and smashed right through what he'd marked as Trebby, into the ground. With this manouvre, Binary was still airborne, with quite a ways to go until he hit the ground, seeing as he weighed almost nothing. Though, he still had a ways to go before he reached his top.

"Initiating Cannon!" Binary called, as if it was needed. Suddenly, in midair, a green ball of light appeared within his torso. At the same time, it started swimming it's way through the gel, determined on getting out of the gel through the bottom of Binary. With a final few pushes of the various ones and zeroes, the Cannon shot broke free, smashing down into pretty much nothing and catapulting Binary even farther upwards. It was there that he morphed one last time. He became a sphere in midair, quite large, but not so large that he wouldn't be able to make it down the side of the building without leaving some of himself behind.

Then, Binary started Streamlining, searching Hazard's line of code and pinpointing her coordinates. The ball that was currently him started rolling in midair as it soared upwards still, not having much time left until it reached it's peak and started falling downwards. Once Binary'd found a position he liked, he stuck with it just as he stopped rising upwards.

Then he went Firewall.

The familiar ones and zeroes that swam around inside Binary suddenly appeared overtop the gel, but these were different. They were quite a bit smaller and thicker, allowing them to mesh together in a near-impossible to penetrate web. And there were a lot more of them, allowing them to completely encircle the sphere that he'd become. And one last difference; they were a LOT heavier.

Instead of slowly drifting down for a while before he would hit terminal, Binary immediately plummeted, on a crash course with Hazard. He didn't know whether the distance between him and her had been enough for him to get to terminal velocity before impact, but he was currently heavy as hell, and that not even a Rageclaw would be able to hold the two of them for that long before it broke and they both fell, with him on top of her. The result he was looking for? Well, to put mildly, it'd be quite a bit more than just a simple, 'splat'.

Suddenly, he felt a large jolt as he hit something, and hoped it was Hazard underneath him. Question was; were they still falling?

[As I explained to Phoenix, March Break's been kicking my arse.]

Red dropped through the air with little more than the sound of her cloak flapping in the breeze of her passage. The wind rerouted itself and carried her harmlessly to the ground. Hazard stopped making faces at Red once she realized that the Badass Hottie wasn't going to be converted into roadkill after all. However, Red had left Binary at the top of the tower, with only Trebuchetman for company. The huge Navi winched back one of his huge arms and released it. The arm, empty of a payload but still packing quite the punch, slammed brutally down on the Binary-puddle. The civilian responded with a viciously overpowered Firehit to the face. Looking wholeheartedly shocked, Trebuchetman fell backwards, and his core data exploded.

Below, Red had picked Hazard up as her primary target. Hazard's jaw dropped at the sight of her opponent's dual bazookas. As the shells screamed up the side of the tower toward her, she shrugged her free arm out of her coat and flipped the whole thing up over her head. The first Markcannon shot broke harmlessly on the coat and fell in shattered bits towards the ground, where Myun was intent on protecting her mistress. An errant shell piece slammed down on the poor bunny. The other Markcannon swung low and smacked Hazard from underneath, where the jacket could not protect. Hazard gritted her teeth, and her Rageclaw slid another foot or two down the face of the tower, but held.

An explosion above made Hazard jerk her head up. "Trebby?" she called warily, but it wasn't the Mafioso she was looking for; rather, it was Binary, blasting higher into the air with the aid of a Cannon shot.

Then he went Firewall.

Hazard's eyes snapped wide, and she swore just before the stone-heavy mass of Binary crashed right into her. The Rageclaw anchoring her to the side of the tower gave out at last, and they both fell like descending comets. Red threw up one arm to protect herself and scooped up Myun to clear the rabbit of any other shrapnel. Hazard and Binary crashed into the ground, one just behind the other, and shook the very foundations of the distribution centre.

"Weak!"

The girl on the corner of the parapet stood up. She was still a full fifty feet above the civilians' heads, but it was still clear that she was a teenaged girl wearing jeans, a flannel shirt, and a confident posture. Hazard shoved Binary off her and stumbled groggily to her feet.

"Ian, let's go! Wake up, huh?" she snarled at the sky, and was promptly rewarded with a swirl of healing energy. She flashed a thumbs-up towards the heavens.

The girl on the parapet jumped off.

She took aim at the ground directly between Hazard, Binary, and Red with her hand. As the girl dropped through the air, her arms seemed to — well, they unfolded, like they were huge rifles under a layer of skin. Her arms split open and expanded until they were three huge rifles each, and her torso was doing the same — opening up to reveal a plethora of machine guns and other assorted hardware.

She fired a blast of energy into the ground, sending up an explosion of debris and dust. It rather effectively took the attention away from the jack-in signature that registered a few yards behind the civilians.

A blast of superheated air from the arm-rifles slowed her landing to a tolerable level, and blew away the remainder of the dust. The girl straightened up and pointed all of her rifles and cannons at Red and Binary, grinning savagely.

"Hiya, Howitzer," said Hazard. "And hey, Ross."

The knight wielding two lances, one jammed through Item and the other through Evinn, flipped up his visor. "Salutations, Hazard. From thy condition, I see my arrival was aptly timed."

"You betcha! Thanks for the save, you guys. They already got Trebby, neh? Tought stuff!"

On the end of the lance that "Ross" had spitted him with, Evinn writhed, but a firm smack with one mailed hand sedated him again. Item jumped madly between shapes, but "Ross" had managed to peg him right through the core data. No form was small enough to escape the lance's hold.

"Right," said Howitzer. "Rocinante, you take care of those jokers there. We'll handle the nosy Nellies."

Red let out a low whistle as she dashed away from the side of the building with Myun while witnessing Binary's descent onto Hazard.

"I've got to think of a name for that tactic," Shin commented, just as amazed as his navi was at Binary's feat.

"How about 'Fall like a wall'?" the badass hottie joked wryly as she avoided the incoming attack from the machine-gun girl. "A living weapon in all senses," the wind navi commented, sliding back.

Loud, body piercing noises snapped the crimson crusader's attention to her back. The red-caped navi's eyes widened in shock as she found her companions impaled by two javelins from... a knight.

"Oh you have GOT to be kidding me! A KNIGHT on the side of the NetMafia? I'd love to hear HIS personal justice ideals," Red groaned sarcastically as she placed her pet down. "Stay out of trouble now, Miss Red has an appointment with Mr. Impale-the-shit-out-of-people," the badass hottie commented, gritting her teeth as her NetOp sent her a couple of chips. Myun nodded as she simply placed a pink sphere of her own energy in her mistress' hand.

NOW! the crimson crusader shouted in her head as she bolted toward the opponent navis at high speeds.

Then, in an instant, Red was in the air in front of Rocinante, thanks to the aid of the Areagrab chip, fist drawn back.
"If you think your ideals include joining the NetMafia, you are just a hypocrite! So, DON'T JOKE AROUND!" the crimson crusader roared at her opponent, voice laced with venom, as her fist burst into flames, glowed bright pink, and became circled around by a mighty gust of wind all at the same time.

She punched, hard, hopefully making a big enough impact to slam the knight navi back quite a distance and take his spears with him.

The red-caped wonder silently shot a green bolt of refreshing energy at Evinn, healing her new comrade.

"Binary! Sorry about leaving you again! I'll be over once I'm done with this guy!" Red called to her other partner as she brought out a beehive from out of nowhere as held it like a shield in front of her. If the knight dared attack, she would block, and hopefully, a swarm of bees would be all over the Mafiosi, stinging him full of pain.

"Evinn! Item! Let's take this guy down!" the crimson crusader cheered to her allies while watching her chosen opponent.

Myun, in the meanwhile, hopped around the area, watching her foes and trying not to be noticed.

Binary felt as satisfied as a being completely incapable of showing emotion could feel, as he continued falling with Hazard trapped underneath him. The two of them had hit terminal a while ago; the only question was which coming second would bring impact with it. According to his calculations, it would happen right n...BOOM.

Indeed, impact happened exactly as Binary's train of thought ended, terminating the systems with a sickening cross between a 'thud' and a 'BOOM!' The collision with the ground was so powerful that the Stonebody armor that meshed over Binary and kept him in shape started cracking; tiny little fractures began to spiderweb across the surface of the already-thin structures. A few short seconds later, the whole web shattered, leaving Binary untouched but vulnerable. The fact that Hazard was still trapped beneath the gel mass that was him, alive but heavily injured, wasn't a good thing. Unfortunately, he couldn't really do anything at the moment, as he was still busy disposing of the Firewall fragments that were floating around inside him.

So, Binary watched helplessly as Hazard emerged from the huge gel puddle, and somehow healed off a good deal of the damage he'd just dealt her. Then, a new foe, no, two new foes appeared, one of which managing to incapacite both Item and Evinn at the same time, and the other one ready to shoot at any time. And, there was also a strange, "THUNK, THUNK, THUNK," noise coming from the background, but Binary already knew that it was only Chris once again PROPERLY headdesking over in the real world. Needless to say, now Binary was far from satisfied.

About to ask for new chips, Binary was then stopped by a PM from Chris, who was somehow defying the borders of the typical human brain by managing to PM him while headdesking at the same time. It read,

"Binary, before you start going psycho on anything and everything, I'm going to send you something. It's the last of your new programs; the one you haven't tried yet. It works in a sense that your core programs will be able to leave your shell and control it from a distance, channeling attacks into it and generally not being able to take damage for the most part. However, it does strain the body to a point, so don't keep it going for too long. You WILL learn to regret it.
-Chris-
P.S: I've stopped headdesking, you know. I was just watching a video clip online displaying some world-class headdeskers at work. Just for fun, y'know?"

Binary read it once, then twice, then a third time, then send a silent affirmative back. Instantly, a new packet of data leapt from one of his internal systems and stood on standby, ready for use. Expecting the worst, Binary activated the program and hoped for the best.

The sensation, to hit the understatement of the year, felt strange. All it looked like was Binary's various ones and zeroes starting to wriggle madly at the outside of Binary's gel body, trying to break free. Eventually, they did, and at the same time Binary fell to the ground, not even a controlled blob on the ground, but simply a puddle of white gel that looked somewhat off. The ones and zeroes, on the other hand, appeared to fade away into the air, giving the illusion that Binary had either self-destructed, or done something else wrong.

This, however, wasn't the case, as Binary now thought it even more strange. He was, to be perfectly honest, having a true out-of-body experience, as he could somehow see in all 360 degrees at once, having been separated from the gel body that kept his sight programs in check. In addition, he was actually looking at himself, and everything else, instead of actually seeing through his own 'eyes'. Thinking of Chris' instructions, Binary decided to experiment with his new power, and decided to try forming back into a normal humanoid form.

The result was instantaneous. The gel immediately shifted from the ground and formed the typical Binary body, but it looked ... dead. The arms were hung limply at the sides, and the head was flopped downwards, like a puppet with it's strings cut and hanging loose.

After a few potentially awkward few moments involving Binary just innocently experimenting with his new power, wiggling hands, forming tentacles, and generally testing out his new body, the amorpheous Navi decided it was time to start actually attacking. With both Hazard and the new foe Howitzer in his sights, Binary requested a somewhat rarely-used chip; the Wideshot. Chris nodded, slotting in the requested chip ever so silently. Hearing Red's call, Binary simply replied with an, "Apology accepted!"

The puppet Binary brought both his arms together, clasping the hands until they slid together and became one, essentially forming a loop. Then, Binary started stretching the sides of the loop, tautening it to the extreme. Then, Binary did something he'd never done before; he hollowed out a mouthlike area in his head and chomped down on his new makeshift bow. He pulled back on said bow, and brought it back past the point where a normal head should be able to bend and beyond. Then again, this is Binary; he doesn't have a normal anything.

With a final tug, the mouth couldn't hold on any longer, and let go of the extremely taut bow, sending not only the 'arrow', but the bow as well flying in a perfectly straight, and deadly line at Howitzer and Hazard. Binary didn't truely care about this bit, though; he was already initiating the second part of "Operation Cause As Much Damage As You Can Until Red Comes To Help."

The Binary-puppet started to appear to bulk up, as if it were swelling. One might assume it was going to explode, but Chris, and by now probably Red and Shin as well. No, the swells in the body as usual burst open, revealing Binary's equivilant to Howitzer's built-in arsenal: hundreds of thin, razor-sharp tentacles sprung from every part of the body, each one slowly waving threateningly in a nonexistant breeze. The tentacle-sporting head slowly turned, the nonexistant eyes staring right at and seemingly through Hazard, penetrating her very sssooouuuullllll....okay, not really, but still, he was checking her lines of code once more, pinpointing her location and acting on it.

Without even turning, Binary raised an arm, and all seventy or so tentacles on the arm snapped to attention. The tentacle-tipped finger pointed at Hazard, and the deadly gel extensions instantaneously acted on it, shooting towards her position like bullets. In seconds, they were upon her, trying desperately to burrow through her cybernetic skin; to completely assimilate what was left of her into his systems from the inside out. It was a sick way of doing something as simple as recovering Hit Points, but it worked, so he did it anyway.

Finally, the tentacles assumed that they'd done their job (assimilating the last of Hazard), not really being able to see what they were doing, and transferred their catch to the main body, which began the seconds-long process of making it into valuable data he could use. While doing this, he activated one last chip he'd been sent, which was the Guard. Instantly, all the tentacles on his front and facing Howitzer snapped to attention upon activation of the chip, and stood at the ready, ready to take a bullet and send a few bulletlike stabs of their own back.

<(Bump #1)>
Rocinante flipped up his visor to retort, but Red had already unloaded a Firehit right in his momentarily-exposed face. The wind-assisted punch literally exploded inside the knight's visor, showering NetMafia, NetPolice and citizen alike with hissing embers. Rocinante had couched the butt of one lance under his arm in order to push his visor clear with one gauntlet, and the force of the Firehit knocked the weapon right out of his grip. Evinn fell to hands and knees, and the lance impaled straight through him exploded in a torrent of waste data. He clambered slowly back to his feet, coughing out bad code, and straightened up significantly quicker once Red's bolt of healing power hit him. Evinn grinned sheepishly at the Badass Hottie, went slightly red, and reached for his wolf- and lion-head guns.

Then Hazard turned up out of nowhere behind Red and kicked her in the ear.

Hazard barked a laugh and dropped back onto both feet. Red tumbled several feet out of the way before she rolled to a stop. Evinn shot at Rocinante's other hand. Howtizer stepped up and looked behind her.

Binary fired his Wideshot.

Hazard was swept off her feet by the crashing wave. Howitzer, however, backflipped neatly over it. She took aim at Red with her gun-arms and fired; the dust itself jumped off the ground at the sound of the rifles' report. Red whipped a buzzing beehive out from behind her back. It took the shot and crumbled. Dozens of wasps swarmed out of the wreckage and made a beeline, as it's said, towards Howitzer. In a second, the gunswoman was engulfed in a cloud of winged fury.

As Hazard flipped back to her feet — with a notably reduced amount of agility, considering the rents and dents in her programming — and noticed the viciously sharp tentacles shooting toward her. She swung off her fireman's coat and tossed it into the way of the tentacles as she turned to run. The jacket was ripped to shreds, and the countless tendrils slammed into Hazard's back, tearing her into loose data.

"Absurd!" Rocinante shouted indignantly. He rubbed at the mailed wrist that Evinn had shot him in. The other lance had also disintegrated, and Item had freed itself, switching into the form of a soccer ball that rolled quickly out from underfoot. "Thy persistance is unrivaled! Thou shalt pay the full price for thy impudence!"

A huge broadsword formed in the knight's hands. He assumed a ready stance that spoke of a Navi who knew exactly what he was doing. With a jerk of his head, he snapped his visor up one last time.

"Howtizer, how fareth thee?"

A blast of fire from her torso-guns shooed the last of the bees away. "Just get 'em already!" a rather swollen Howitzer bellowed as she fired the remainder of the napalm at Red. It hit the Badass Hottie with perfect accuracy. A huge boot slammed down next to the citizen's head, and Red looked up to see Rocinante with blade in hand.

"As for thou, damsel," said the knight. "My ideas are mine own. The power-hungering ways of thy NetPolice art not the ones I would chooseth. I shalt not striketh down a damsel without arms, but know that thy windmills art ogres."

Leaving her with that bewildering sentence, Rocinante rushed off in pursuit of Item. The soccer ball bounced hurriedly over the striking broadsword, but the gash in the ground that the weapon left said that Rocinante could surely leave a mark if he wanted to.

Binary felt his body's tentacles stretch slightly as the last remains of Hazard surged on within them, carrying the defeated Navi in particle-form to his own main core. Once there, the blue lines of code simply sat there, awaiting assimilation with the rest of the body. However, the system that directly converted said data into a compatible code with the body wasn't present; it was floating around the rest of the battlefield, completely invisible.

That's when the strain kicked in. The Navi core was starting to react to being outside the protective Navi shell for so long, and was spasming. Unfortunately, each spasm from the core was reflected in the shell, making the body twitch and rock back and forth uncontrollably. Without any other way of relaxing the core, Binary had no choice but to retreat back into the comfort of himself. Silently, a swirling stream of data helixed from above, entering the body. As the black digits entered into Binary's body, the convulsing slowed down, and eventually came to a complete stop.

Then, what was once Hazard started being assimilated. Binary's converting system finally started working again, sending in a small platoon of digits at the code. They swarmed what was once Hazard, changing it's basic code lines into a script that was compatible with Binary's homebrewed body. Once the converters were done, there was nothing but a bunch of black digits, all of which vanished. Everything had done it's job. With nothing else to do, Binary turned upwards and called to Chris, "Hazard.EXE assimilation: 100%! Battlechip data required!"

"Huh? What? What's going on?" Chris asked, rapidly looking around to see what was happening. Once he remembered, he shook his head, whipping his messy-as-hell hair around. "Whoa, that was weird. It was like ... I dunno, my brain went on vacation or something," he muttered. To compensate, he took an overlarge gulp of coffee, enough to make a normal human choke on the hot liquid. Though, Chris wasn't a normal human, as he somehow got the whole mouthful down his gullet without a single drop entering the trachea. "Now, then, you wanted chips? Gotcha, here they come," Chris said, picking a few select identical chips and slotting them in. While he did that, he used his intense multitasking/ambidexterous godmoding skills to send a PM to both Shin and Binary at the same time, both of them explaining his plan of action. They read as followed:

Shin, you still have that Icezone on you? And the Wideshot you used to freeze those viruses back a battle or two ago? Now's the time to use them. I'll have Binary Rageclaw the two into one spot, then you make the Icezone around them. Then freeze them with the Wideshot, and we can nuke the two of 'em with ElecReels. Sounds like fun, huh?

Binary, I'm sending you three Rageclaws. Use any means nessacary with them to get those two together in one spot. Then Red will freeze the two of them. After that, we nuke the two of 'em with ElecReels. Sounds like fun, huh?

That said, Chris went back to watching the show.

Meanwhile, Binary was already ready to go. The spike-tipped tentacles that were completely covering him had each grown two smaller, hooked claw-like tentacles apiece. They looked dangerous, but hurting wasn't to be their purpose. No, they were going to be used to trap; trap Ross and Howitzer in one spot close together, that is. A few quick scans later, Binary attacked.

The tentacles, all at once, lashed out, headed for Howitzer's code lines, who was likely the lighter target, not being encased in a huge suit of armor like Ross was. Upon reaching what he'd marked as the living weapon, the tentacles quickly wrapped around the target, ensnaring it in a near-unescapable grasp. A few microseconds after complete immobilization, the tentacles whipped over to a predetermined set of coordinates, making a move to slam the body down to the ground.

Almost instantaneously after slamming the target down to the ground, the tentacles unravelled themselves, and headed for Ross. Using the same method as before, the tentacles quickly wound their way around what Binary himself had marked as Ross, and attempted to slide him across the ground, knowing that he would likely be heavy, into the former target, shoving the two into one spot.

Even though they were (apparently) stuck into one spot, as Chris had told him to ensure, Binary wasn't done yet. Once more, he lashed out with the tentacle-claws, this time trying to get them both snared in his grip. Once he'd done what he could, he severed the roots of the tentacles, leaving him armless. He soon remedied this by growing new ones, and let the tentacles snake over his two targets, trying their best to keep them from moving much more than squirming.

*Streamlined... (Add +1 Accuracy to first Rageclaw shot)

1. Rageclaw Throw to Howitzer (Throw to ground, 20 damage to Howitzer, 20 to ground(?))

2. Rageclaw Throw to Rocinante (Throw into Howitzer, 20 to both)

3/4: Use Rageclaws to keep the two from moving away from each other (40 each)
Red growled as she rose up from the floor, glaring at Rocinante, who was currently chasing Item. Her head snapped to the side, eyes narrowing as she observed Evinn. Upon receiving Chris' PM, Shin smirked as he relayed the message to his navi.

"Get some water chips ready, when I give the signal, fire at those two Mafiosi guys," the badass hottie suggested to her ally as her form glowed brightly, and then in a brilliant burst of light, she was back in her normal form. The childish navi giggled as she summoned the wind around her body.

"Alright Mr. Evinn, let's do our best!" the red-caped wonder cheered as she started dashing toward the area where Binary was attempting to lock Howitzer and Rocinante in. The crimson crusader grinned cheerfully with the feel of the wind in her hair and across her face. Her hair flapped gently around her head as the wind started to pick up, boosting her speed toward her two foes.

Shin slotted in the three required battlechips and simply cried out his catchphrase,
"Go for it, Red!"

"NOW!" Red shouted to Evinn as she approached the two enemies and slammed her fist into the ground while coming to a complete stop. Ice started to spread across the ground like an ant swarm on a half-eaten hamburger, attempting to ensnare Howitzer and Rocinante within the zone.

Shin's stomach grumbled at the thought of a hamburger, so he pulled out an onigiri from his traveling snack pack, and started eating it.
"Mmmm... Tuna..." the operator commented after biting into the rice-covered treat.

"I'm not done yet! Suiton Suiryuudan!" the crimson crusader yelled as she formed two spheres of swirling water in her hands and twisted around backwards, spiraling her arms around her body as she unleashed the power from the two blasts.

The water transformed, surging into the shape of two giant serpentine dragons with gleaming crimson eyes. The beasts roared menacingly as they descended upon their prey, the two Mafiosi.

"GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" the wind navi roared as the mystical creatures attempted to clamp their jaws down on the Mafiosi and freeze them in place.

Red let out a sigh as she wiped her forehead. Myun dashed idly across the netscape, watching the movements of her opponents, ready to dodge. The red-caped navi gave a thumbs-up to Evinn and Item as a signal to start blasting some water at the Mafiosi if they could.

"Let's hope this works out well," Shin grimaced as he took a bite out of his second onigiri that he snatched out of his pouch.

Binary's first Rageclaw grabbed Howitzer and smashed her into the ground -- or at least, that's what was supposed to happen. Just before the impact, Howitzer aimed her many arm-guns at the ground, and fired; the shockwave drove her away from the panels, and the compensation of the Rageclaw tentacles' downward thrust sent her flying wildly into the base of the tower at high speed. The whole outpost shook as Howitzer crashed into it, cursing at the top of her voice.

The next Rageclaw had just a little more difficulty in tossing Rocinante over to where Howitzer lay crumpled, but the huge, armoured Navi was too slow to do anything about it. With a roar, he overbalanced against the tentacles' shove and landed right on top of Howitzer. A storm of scything Rageclaws impaled both of them in place, there under the shadow of the outpost.

Borne on an arctic wind, Red's permafrost swept across the ground toward the tower. The layer of silver climbed a good twenty feet up the side of the outpost, then ran out of momentum and stopped. The ice crackled as Ross and Howitzer punched their way up from out of it, but the tentacles prevented them from getting any freer.

The two aqueous dragons roared into the base of the tower.

Silence descended.

Something cracked.

And broke.

And the whole tower fell.

Its base weakened by the damage it had taken, the tower could not withstand the power of the dual Wideshots. The smooth steel sides crumbled and imploded. Red, Binary, Myun, Evinn and Item sprinted back beyond the debris field, but Howitzer and Rocinante -- trapped by Binary's Rageclaws -- vanished underneath the roaring landslide of outpost.

The dust settled. Item changed to a loudspeaker. "HQ isn't going to be very happy about this, chums."

Evinn just sat down and laughed.
