(WARNING: The following post may contain trace amounts of non-silly interaction between my operator an Navi. You have been warned.)
It was a nice day in ACDC Town, and Sabrina found herself sitting on a park bench, doing nothing. The only problem was, she didn't like doing nothing. She'd rather do something.
And her Navi provided a few moments worth of that with a question. "So, just to review...exactly what's happened to the folder? I saw you messing around with it back in the shop..."
"Don't worry, I didn't add any new Elec chips! Or I should say, there aren't any more Elec chips in it than there were before."
"...What?"
"All right, let's see...right after I got it, I took a Guard out, and added ColdPunch. Then I noticed the chip trader machine, which I'm sure you saw too. I did it a couple of times, and got a neat chip and a MiniBomb. So, I took out MagBolt and a Shotgun for that chip and something else I just traded for, and did the trader one more time, and got a Spreader. And that's what happened."
"Okay, but what are these neat chips you're talking about?"
"Well, can you tolerate ElecReel?"
"Tolerate, yes. Like, no!"
"Well, I got one from the chip trader...but the virus picture is blue instead of red. Which means it's an ElecReel2!"
"ElecReel2? That's neat, I guess...I would've liked something like WideShot2 a lot more!"
"Well, it's random, so I can't help that. And the chip I traded for...is DashAttack. I read the description of it, and it sounds kinda like your Aqua Ram attack. So you should be great with it in no time!"
"Sounds like fun! I wanna try it!"
"Well, we need to figure out where. We could always go back to ElecTown, and try to find one of those AquaBalloons..."
"Eh, I don't wanna go back there. Personally, I really liked Yoka's Net, and since you're making me use those ElecReel chips, we can fry the viruses there in no time!"
"Well..."
BEEP! BEEP!
The conversation came to a dead stop as a beeping noise made SplashMan check some things. "Huh, you got a new e-mail!"
"Really? From who?"
"Lemme bring up the screen!...It's from.........it's...from..."
"I'm pretty sure whoever sent it has a name, you know. So spit it out!"
"It's from...your father, and my creator...Christopher Jetto..."
"...Dad?! What in the world does he want?!"
"I'll bring it up on the screen..."
And the e-mail appeared on the screen of Sabrina's PET. It read as follows:
Sabrina, how are you? It's been a while since you've contacted me or your mother. I'd expect something like that from Brandon, but not you. How's your search going? Have you found your brother yet? And how is SplashMan faring in battles with you? Is he proving to be a good battling Navi? There's a lot of things I want to talk to you about, so why don't you come home for a little while? I've attached a plane ticket, and I can pick you up when you get here. I don't recommend saying no, because your mother may have a stroke if she doesn't see one of her kids is alive and well soon.
See you soon, Dad.
"Well, you read the mail. If I don't go back, Dad'll probably come looking for me..."
"Yep...well, guess he decided where we go next! Netopia, here we come!"
"Yep! By the way, check the ticket, and see when our flight leaves!"
"Okay!" Ticket-like data suddenly formed in front of the Aqua Navi, who grabbed it and looked over it intensely. "It leaves...a little less than 3 hours from now!"
"What?!" Sabrina sprung up, and started trying to recall where that MetroLine station was. "We need to go now! Which airport do I need to head to?"
"Oh, relax! The flight takes off from Den Airport, and the MetroLine has a route there! We'll make it in plenty of time!"
"...Oh. Still, we should go ahead and head there. I mean, it's not like we're doing anything important."
"That's okay with me. Just don't rush or anything! We don't have to hurry!"
"All right already!" Placing her PET back in its case, the young woman left the park, which was the first step towards her homecoming...
(to Netopia!)
