Inside the shop

Slowly and hesitantly, a small girl enters the store. She looked almost lost, clutching the PeT tightly in her hand as if her life depended on it. She stood at the counter, staring at her feet, mumbling a little.
"Umm ... I-I ... umm .."
She seemed to realize what she was doing, however, and quickly blurted out 'Gomen nasai!' in response to herself.

Jared thanked Suitachi absent mindedly, and took the stack of upgrades over to the table and chars sitting off to one side, set the stack of boxes on the table, and sat down. He then sorted the boxes, noting the card as he did so, but leaving it closed, and extracted both of his upgrades. Jared then proceeded to upload the upgrade programs into the PET, using the interface to modify them into a form of code that was compatible with Broadside....
On the screen, this process appeared as a graphincal change....
The level1 upgrade was fed through a machine as a featureless cube, and came out the other side as an upgraded hangsr system for the H/K's with folding energy collection pylons attatched. robotic arms grappled and decoupled the H/K's from the old hanger. another set of worker arms debonded and removed the old hanger, and hoisted it away. The new hanger was lifted into place, bonded, and sealed, and the H/K's slotted into the newer model, completing the installation of the new Level 1 Signature Attack Program.
The level2 upgrade entered as the same type of featureless block, and came out as a smooth-bore, short barrel mortar assembly. A rail-guided maintenence bot slid into place before Broadside's torso, and removed the heavy armored plateing protecting his vitals. This revealed an empty space above what apeared to be a reactor core and some unknown module that looked out of place somehow. The mortar was lowered into the upper torso cavity, hooked into Broadside's systems, and seated into place. One of the armored plates was placed back where it came from while the upper plate was replaced with a sealed gunport plate.
With the upgrades installed, and the bugs fixed, J.T. sent the command to re-compile his Navi's program. This caused the small virtual mech bay to swing into overdrive and reassemble Broadside from working or replaced and working "parts." Once his Navi was whole again, he sent the command to re-activate his Navi.
Broadside awoke, and looked up at his operator, momentarily disoriented as his internal clock reset to the current date/time... "I think that should do it. But, perform a self diagnostic just in case. I'll check back on you once we reach our destination. Take it easy until then... K?" Broadside simply nodded, and did as he was asked.
Jared disposed of the empty boxes, collected Rein's upgrades (and Suitachi's card) and left the store quietly.

Zan entered the shop with a grim determination. Runeknight was still resting up in his PET and the NetOp wanted to have all of the upgrades finished before his Navi awoke. He moved up to the counter, ignoring anyone else within the store, and examined the prices briefly. He pulled his wallet from his pocket and pulled out his debit card. He slammed the card on the counter and nodded curtly to Suitachi.
"I need a Process Upgrade 1 and three HP Memories. 10,500z correct?" Zan's voice was cold, though not discourteous. "My Navi and I have a score to settle with a number of uppity Metool."

Suitachi started, suddenly waking from the nap he had devoted the last few minutes to. He looked around wildly. His eyes alighted on Zan.
"Yes, yes, of course, a Process Upgrade and three HP Memories!" he blurted, digging through the cabinets underneath the front counter. The storekeeper packed the upgrades into a small box, which he sealed neatly shut with a small sticker ("You've been Suitachi'd") and slid across the counter to Zan. Suitachi accepted the money and hurriedly dropped it into the till.
"Thank you for your patronage," he said, almost automatically, rubbing at the sleep in his eyes.

"Yeah, thanks," Zan gave a curt nod and grabbed the box.
He headed quickly out of the shop, hopping on his motorcycle and starting it up. He had only a short drive ahead of him, around to the opposite entrance to SciLabs and to his father's office where he would be able to get his hands on the necessary tools for finishing up his Navi's repairs.

Wes walked into the shop and prepared to transfer some money, "Could I get a Process Upgrade lvl 2 please? 5000z, correct?"

Wes sighed, "Not the swiftest of service but... when things are slow like this, watching the counter non-stop would not only be boring, but a waste of time. Perhaps I can use this to my advantage." Peeking beyond the counter to make sure the chop keep wasn't approaching, Wes then pulled out his PET, "Well? You Finished?"
"Indeed. Behold." Junior's attire changed to a purple suit with a red cape. He also gained a mask and his hair lengthened, "Red Royale is ready to go."
"Flashy... elegant... mysterious. Good job." Wes said, giving a thumbs up, "Okay, I'm sending you in. Pick any area you like and look for people who seem to be in need of rescuing, got it? We need to build up our rep."
"Got it. Heading to Yoka again." Junior said before vanishing.
Before beginning, Wes glanced over at the counter again, "Take your time... no need to rush." He needed to make sure this guy didn't sneak up on him while in the middle of conducting Requiem business. He would need to hide his PET like a kid hiding porn from his parents.
((Bump and jack in. Multitasking~))

"Yes yes," Suitachi grumbled as he swiped Wes's money in a blink of an eye and laid a perfectly wrapped case for a Process Upgrade Level 2 with a note saying, "You've been Suitachi'd" before disappearing and going off to whatever he was doing before.

Kamoku looked up, just in time to see Suitachi heading off somewhere. Breaking her own silence, she almost shouted out loudly, yet managed to stop herself and talk normally instead.
"Ah ... e-excuse me, mister..."
It didn't stop her looking totally lost, however.

Wes sighed. His battle had finally ended. Now to head off for the colloseum. Putting his PET in his pocket, he walked out and went for the metro.

"Suitachi'd...? What the hell?" Arco swept into the store, the dramatic entrance aided somewhat by her long coat. After a short glance at the list of special program stock he had tacked to the counter, she doled the appropriate coinage out from another pocket and slammed it onto the counter. "Two of these 'custom expansion' things, and make it quick. I want to be in Yoka before it gets dark." She was a lot blunter than she neeeded to be, but she didn't want to waste any time. "... Might as well toss in one of these process upgrades too... They look kind of cool." She drew three more bills from her pocket and placed them on top of the small pile.
A small black cat with a strange marking over one eye leapt onto the counter and gave an apologetic meow for Arco's behavior. Arco watched with mild amusement.

"Hey there, kitten," the Navicust shop owner grinned, obvious referring to Cheshire (or so Arco hoped). He reached out to pat the holographic black cat on the head with one hand as he put the upgrades together into a small, silk-lined box with his other. He closed the container of purchases and pinned it closed with a small you've-been-Suitachi'd sticker on the edge of the lid. He slid it across the counter to Arco, removing his hand from the cat to accept her money and drop it into the till.
"And what are you looking for, ma'am?" Suitachi asked kindly of the nervous girl who had been hanging around for well over five minutes. He shot her his most winning smile, hoping that she would be able to work up the confidence to buy something.

Arco gingerly lifted the box between a thumb and a forefinger, staring at it as if it contained one of many lethal diseases. "What... You're not proposing marriage, you're giving me a program." With a cold glare directed at the sugary shopkeep, she dropped the decidedly saccharine parcel into a coat pocket. "Come on, Cheshire, we're going to Yoka." The kitten reluctantly gave up her place as the object of Suitachi's adoration and leapt off the counter, dissapearing before her paws reached the floor.

"Ah ... sumimasen ... H ... HP ..."
Shinokami appeared on Kamoku's shoulder, as a hologram of course, and glanced over to Kamoku, looking concerned.
"Are you okay? Allow me, Kamoku..."
Kamoku nodded, and Shinokami looked up at Suitachi.
"My apologies." he started, bowing low. "One HP memory, please."
Kamoku slowly placed the required zenny on the table, still not wanting to make eye-contact.

"O-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-one P-p-p-p-p-p-process!"
Polonius stammered profusely as he entered the store. He simply put the money on the counter, not knowing if Suitachi was too busy with the customers. He sweat with anticipation, after all, he only met him once. .

The owner of the shop nodded as both of the orders were given. He quickly packed an HP Memory into one box and a Process Upgrade of the first level into another, sealing them both with the typical you've-been-Suitachi'd stickers. The owner accepted the money and dropped it easily into his till, his eyes already straying towards the programming magazine that he would continue reading once the customers had left.
"Have a nice day, guys."
