In the newest system, IS HIGHER AC GOOD?

Nal confused me, I always though it was -10 <-> 10 from best to worst

CLAIMED FOR CONFUSION
AC is basically the number you have to beat or equal to hit something. You get your armor bonus, shield bonus, dex modifier, size modifier, natural armor, deflection modifier and your misc modifier (usually because of magic). I still dunno if 23 is good or bad...
Nal, unless your rolling d50's or something, I think thats good.
You're forgetting the BABs and stuff, Common. They add to the d20 roll.
Uh, yeah. What version are you playing, common, Original? XD

But yeah, 23 AC for 8th level is pretty darn good. It's kinda average for a heavy fighting class like Barbarian, though. My highest level character, Furok, topped out at level 17 with an AC of 27, which is fairly god-like for a Druid. And, of course, that wasn't counting all of the Wild Feat bonuses I had, as well. I want to say with everything on that could boost me, I had an AC of 34, but I'm not entirely sure on that.

Also, common, the average starting player starts with at level 1 with an AC of about 13-19, depending on their class. A common townsfolk would probably have an AC of about 9-11.
