Swift and Gunner

Alright, peoples, you heard me right. Before too long, shots will ring out, as shots are wont to do, and Frederick Swift will leave the spotlight. It will not happen instantly, but soon after the event, before another busting run. I reserve the right to RP the events of his demise, of course. In his place, his older sister Arco. Despite my pleas to the contrary, Swift was too much of a self-insertion to be any fun. Here's hoping my character from Drakim's fine RP will be a little more interesting. Swift's public homepage will remain, and I will register a private one for Arco at the appropriate time.

Operator
Name: Arco Swift
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Appearance: Arco is of unremarkable height for a woman, perhaps a tidge taller than the average. However, she tends to loom over people in a way that makes her appear almost monolithic despite her unimpressive stature. Her body is lean and muscular, slim like a runner's. A long coat of dark red, with the insignia of a silhouetted crescent moon over the left breast, near the heart, falls to around her knees. Beneath this coat is another thin jacket, skintight, of a normal length, but usually left open like the coat before it. Beneath the copious layers of water-resistant clothing, strangely, lies a single wide band of black cloth that serves to cover her larger-than average chest, but little else. Her lower wear is, thankfully, more modest. Supported by a plain belt, loose black pants with an astounding number of pockets and other compartments reveal nothing of her figure, eventually ending up bunched via thin cloth wrappings at the shin into a pair of boots which seem unassuming enough until one notices the gleam of metal spreading from the toe in a strange three-pronged pattern, like a crown. Hidden beneath the folds of her jacket's right sleeve is an intricately patterned leather bracelet with a silver stud, a sort of Swift heirloom.
Personality: Swift, like her ancestors before her, possesses an exceedingly strange sense of humour, although in a smaller dose than her late brother. However, unlike her ancestors before her, she has an incredible temper and a headstrong attitude that often prevent her from thinking things through. She is impatient as they come, and as a result is bored easily. She had previously sworn off the Swift family tradtition of hired thieves, but as the last known member of the family the burden falls on her to continue the legacy. She is undecided. Before the reading of Frederick's will, she had only the most basic of navis housed in an ancient second or third-generation PET, and is nearly illiterate in the workings of the Net.
PET Modifications: Arco's has inherited her brother's PET. The body of the device is an onyx black, with its trim a rich red. This PET has undergone a large amount of modification; the circular screen near the top which usually displays the emblem of the navi residing inside has been removed, as Gunner has no emblem. In its place is a high-quality camera lens connected directly to the PET's computer. It can record as well as take snapshots. The same program that manages the camera allows images to be captured and recorded within the Net as well.

NetNavi
Name: Gunner
Gender: Male
Element: Normal
Type: Cursor
Appearance: Gunner wears a tight-fitting black t-shirt and loose pants, gathered into a pair of combat boots and held up with a red sash. Simple cloth gloves cover his wrists, but leave his fingers bare. He has fiery red hair, spiked back into a myriad of points, and plain dark eyes. All in all, he doesn't look much like a gunsman... But for one thing. His most distinguishing feature is a large holster strapped across his back. It is in the shape of a flattened cylinder tapering slightly towards the end, and looks fit to carry a heavy assault rifle... But in truth, it carries every ranged weapon known to man. His gloves cover a series of angry burns on his palms, bearing a complex pattern that seems to gain a lifelike, shifting quality when viewed out of the corner of one's eye. Artwork by Fenix.
Personality: Gunner is friendly and easygoing, able to take most everything in stride. However, he has no qualms about speaking his mind, even if it might offend those around him. In this sense, he can be quite brash. At times, one could go so far as to say he's outright sarcastic, a trait he might have absorbed from his late netop. He is very reliable in times of need, despite his slightly abrasive demeanor. He doesn't have much of a temper. He enjoys virusbusting as more sport than anything else, and is trying to persuade Arco to carry on the Swift family legacy.
Custom Weapon: The Holster - This simple-looking black leather holster, fit perhaps for an assault rifle, allows Gunner to draw from its infinite depths any projectile weapon known to man. However, he prefers a simple black steel revolver with an unusually wide barrel that fires large-caliber bullets. This Holster is not a part of Gunner's programming, so its form cannot be changed. Looking inside, while harmless, sends a chill down the spines of most navi. The effect varies, though. While some merely feel a dark foreboding, some are driven into a state of pure terror. Those who are driven to cower all unvaryingly claim that somewhere in the darkness, they saw something rushing up to meet them...
Signature Attack: Hawkeye - Gunner fixes the enemy with a spellbinding glare. Anyone brave enough to meet his gaze will notice a complex pattern of thin red lines spreading from his pupils across his irises, before they find themselves unable to move. This attack stuns an enemy for 2 turns and inflicts upon them a 5 damage burn. 2 turn cooldown, starting once the stun effect expires. The burn damage does not stack with repeated uses of Hawkeye.

If the staff would allow it, I would like to carry over the chips and upgrades previously in Swift's possession as of the Cybeast events' end (which, I know, has yet to come,) but not the Zenny. My reason for this is as follows: Swift, although young, knew full well the dangers of a life in the underworld. As a result, folded in a tiny waterproof section of his wallet, along with a Youth Net Operator's License which was used to identify the headless corpse which had washed up on the coast, was a sort of will, detailing in a messy scrawl how his final possessions were to be distributed. Well, not quite; it only detailed that his chips and his PET (and all that was within) were to be given to his "dear sister Arco, in the hopes that she will be able to give and receive the protection needed. In addition, I would also like to pass to her my bracelet, which as she knows is a longstanding heirloom of our family." His wallet had long since been picked clean of cash.

I, of course, neither expect nor want the usual newbie pack.
INSOLENCE!

...Err, nevermind.

Approved.
