I'd like to change his subtype from Variable to Shadow.
Variable does nothing at all to support him conceptually, and I'm not really interested in the statistical side of it. Too, it's lacking in utility, which I blindly overlooked when I picked it.
Shadow, on the other hand, would allow him to simulate the ability to alter dimensions of the world around him, move silently (fluff, but very fitting), and pull off feats of multi-location or even time distortion. In short, the world, or at least your perception of it, is his plaything.
Would I trade some barely useful statistical gain for the ability to do all that? You better believe it.
