A beastly hunt

Moving on, Jazz had a short amount of time to pick his way throug the Hades network, until he came upon another peculiar sight. Nestled in between a ring of surrounding craggy hills, an area of the terrain became smooth and flat. In the centre of it, with space cleared all around, there was a large, black iron object of some sort, seemingly with viruses climbing on it. As Jazz drew closer, he could begin to make out features. The object was about the size of a large vehicle, but it was in the shape of an old-school wood-fired stove, with two hot plates on the flat top, over a closed oven in the body of it, and a side section for putting in the fuel and burning it.

A massive pile of coal was stacked up near the open coal hatch on the comically oversized novelty stove, and at the top of it, a Swordy was shovelling coal into the opening. This one seemed to have traded its sword for a broad headed coal shovel instead, but by all accounts it still matched Jazz's bounty target. Inside the coal hatch, there were signs of another virus, nestled in the orange glow of the fire, while a pair of Vulgear seemed to be seething contentedly on the hot plates, up above. Between them, a Chumpy virus was looking back and forth; it seemed to have exchanged its boxing gloves for oven mitts, but it as probably not any less dangerous for this.

A hiss of steam from one of the Vulgears made the other viruses look around in Jazz's direction. The Swordy lifted its shovel, seemingly particularly enraged by this interruption, and pointed its weapon of choice in Jazz's direction.

Huh...that's quite the sight... Jazz murmered under his breath as he came across the curious sight, viruses and a massive, bus sized stove, right in front of him. Good thing he had his floatshoes on, but the site was not exactly welcomed by his presence, the quintet of viruses immediately turning to him as he waltzed up. A shame for them, but he was feeling JUST a bit guilty of ruining their little thing here, nothing to it he supposed, a shrug of his shoulders and a sigh as he slipped into his combat stance, slouching slowly towards the ground and letting his muscles get loose.

Got a chip in that last fight, think it's in the PET, mind slotting it, the Mudstage and Treebomb in? Jazz asked simply as he began to move towards the viruses, the hare giving a carefree smile as he did. Hey now, I was just passin through...but it seems like you don't have any intent on letting me go regardless huh? He asked simply, knowing the answer. The hare deactivating his floatshoes and letting his tootsies feel the heat from the paneling he was on, even through those membranes. You don't mind me getting comfortable, right? He asked, standing straight with his hands up and palms outwards in a mock surrender, as he tripped the data in the Flamescales he had gotten earlier and materialized a heavy looking silver plate of mail across his body, even over the already swealtering longcoat he wore. And to add to the heat, the entire thing burst into flames a second later, covering his entire upper body in a rigid, heavy and very protective layer of, well, protection.

Whew...talk about turning the heat up. Now, guys, lets be reasonable...we don't need the furnaces of hell that hot now, do we? He grinned as he tripped the second chip he asked for, mud beginning to pour from all manner of places. Hands, arms, legs, the sticky and wet dirt beginning to move outwards from him like a giant puddle...before the hare took a stance like a ballarina and began to move gracefully, if a bit sluggishly, twirling around with his lifted foot against his spinning leg and arms going straight up into a loose triangle, even as the mud flowed slugishly through the holes in his coat and all over the heated platemail he wore. Slowly but surely the hare's movements picked up speed as he twirled about as ridiculous as he looked, mud spread across the field and under the feet and what have you of both the viruses and underneath their massive stove, before finishing with a backflip into the air and an axe kick into the ground, a massive torrent of mud flooding the area to and fro, here there and everywhere, with a tsunami to cover virus, stove and everywhere else that hadn't been gotten yet.

Coming to a stop (and very slightly dizzy from the dance), the hare took a second to shake the extra mud out, letting out a sigh as he almost sank those feet of his into the mud, and while warm, was just what the doctor ordered after that last fight. Alright guys, time to show ya how navis do buisness. He spoke, a sinister undertone to his words as he produced a rather large seed, almost the size of his hand and gripped it tightly before taking aim at what he wanted to do with it...and with a quick calculation, Jazz flicked his wrist and sent the seed flying from where he stood, hopefully in front of the Vulcaner. And if it went to plan, the seed would dry out the patch of mud it splattered into, quickly exploding outwards in massive spiked pillars of wood marching across the mud with little issue in a random direction...and utterly obliterate whatever might be in front of it, sucking away the water from the mud with every slow tower of wood that marched across the field.

Stephine watched intently as the hare began his assult, she noticed the new clothing,...and the bandana plus eyepatch...well...she needed to keep an eye on him regardless of her feelings...she couldn't help but get this little niggling sensation in the back of her head...

Interesting choice of clothing, Jazz. What are you hiding? She bluntly asked as he began his next assult shortly after the seed's work had been done (or yet to be done) Nothing worth worrying about... He responded back as his expression began to deteriorate, the Hare's face expressionless in the face of the obvious prodding, but he had a fight on his hand regardless, beginning to rush at the front of the Swordy carrying a shovel, arms outstretched as he neared the virus. A blade dropping from his sleeve cleanly into his hand, Jazz took hold tightly of the watery blade's hilt, feinting towards the virus' blindspot and in a swift motion attempted to shove the blade deep into it's back while in the same movement, used his free hand to grasp at something solid and, using it's body as leverage regardless of shanking it between his momentum and the mud beneath his feet, and moving forward around the back of it towards his next target.

Don't bullshit me, rabbit. What the hell happened with you and Riccio? I saw the circuits on your eye, the damn things were glowing while you were asleep! Stephine shouted out, the hare looking skywards as he began to think of what to say, but he did not answer. After the battle. Widesword. He said, ever so simply as he brought himself low for a moment, Jazz calculating his jump before jumping as high as he could into the air, thrusting himself forward (hopefully) onto the mud covered stove in front of him and, hopefully, in front of the Vulgears that adorned the stove. A click could be heard from the PET with a frustrated growl from the girl holding his PET. Thrusting his arm out to the side, a hardened blade of pure energy would extend from his knuckles, a widened semi-circle tip would come forwards and, without a word, the hare pushed himself forwards and in a swift motion let his arm slide through the air like butter, and hopefully, through the Vulgears in front of him. Though it would take more than one strike, this would come soon as he wore a stoic expression, circuits on his eye glowing softly beneath the eyepatch.

Already seemingly irritated at being interrupted, the Shovel-wielding Swordy took the time to throw one last scoop of coal into the hatch (presumably all over the Volcaner...) before turning to focus on Jazz while the Hare decked himself out in scorching scale protection.

From inside the stove-like situation, an eruption of fire and magma shot upwards from a vent about the furnace as the volcaner launched a arcing meteor in Jazz's direction, boosted and emboldened by its position... but no matter how strong the blast of burning rock was, it still scattered off Jazz's fresh protections in a shower of molten rock that only lightly scuffed the scales.

Jazz took this as a sign to redecorate. With the sudden wash of mud covering everything, steam began to hiss and rise from the over-sized stove and it buckled in places as the metal of its construction warped, cracked and corroded. None of the viruses seemed pleased by this development. The chumpy, on top of the now muddy mess warped quickly across to Jazz with the intention of giving the hare a solid what for with both fists; even so, only one blow connected and, like before, it only succeeded in scraping the scales of his armour.

Jazz had other things to focus on anyway, and lobbed his next dangerous payload with a precise arc, to land the seed directly into the previously burning furnace hatch of the stove, right in front of the now muddy and squelching volcaner. Things were still for a moment; it was hard to see anything inside the hatch... then the entire over-sized stove began to rumble and shake. With a sudden burst of tearing metal and rapidly growing wood, plant life began to sprout and erupt from every seam in the large object, pushing through the mud. In particular, two massive wooden towers burst up through the hot plates, skewering both of the steaming Vulgears before either of them could really get worked up. It seemed the volcaner itself had, somehow, avoided the worst of the rapidly growing assault, and the chumpy had pulled itself out of the way just in time as well, but the entire stove buckled inwards and seemed to collapse further, settling into a corroded mound of mud and soil as the attack faded away.

From the wreckage, the volcaner managed to pull itself out of the much and sputtered briefly, before launching a burning blast towards Jazz, trying to leave some kind of mark, but the hare was already moving and the shot didn't connect as he darted forward – slower than usual, but still quick enough this time.

Perhaps his offence was a little slower as well, or perhaps the swordy was just ready for him by now, but when Jazz moved up and attempted to make his quick manoeuvre around the swordy, his darting blade was met with the metallic clang of the shovel haft parrying his strike, turning it aside at the last moment despite his best effort at getting on the virus's blind side.

The chumpy took the opportunity to try its own luck again, warping close to take two more swipes at Jazz; as before, however, one missed and the other, though it landed, only managed to deal a pittance of damage to his resilient armour. When it warped back to the top of the mound, Jazz leapt after it. The swordy, just winding up to take a swing at Jazz in return was forced to do the same, warping to appear beside the chumpy with its blade lowered and drawn back, ready to lunge... however, its move was poorly timed. Jazz made a sweep with his own blade, getting two deep cuts for the price of one thanks to the swordy's timely pursuit.

Jazz's offenses were able to fend off some of the damage he potentially could have taken, the heavy plating on his body having managed to protect him and still seemingly having plenty to protect, Jazz was ready to go for this fight, he just needed a couple more hits is all.

Much better. Much, much more comfortable. Even with this armor on, I'm doin fine. Shame about yer setup. But...shouldn't have decided to threaten me like ya did. He began, the hare adjusting his armor, the inner straps being loosened up as he talked, even if it's heft kept him from being able to move like he wanted. But it wasn't much, as his voice lowered, eyes narrowing as he adjusted his wrist mounted sword. No use cryin over wet coals...right? You won't live to regret your decision anyways. He continued, voice continuing to lower in octives as he lunged forwards at the two viruses in his mania.

He couldn't help but feel...something...joy? Excitement? Whatever it was, Jazz's face took on one of contempt for the two in front of him, even though they were just...doing their job. Feelings clashing internally as he scrambled on the mud beneath his feet, his movements slowed, but, he calculated them as much as he possibly could in turn. The circuts beneath his patch glowing dimly, but warmly, as he took his first swipe at the duo in front of him. A single slash across, attempting to cut cleanly through the center of each with the cybersword atop his hand, even as it's power began to wane.

Then a sharp pulse within. Eye atop his head beginning to hurt. Sharp pains across his entire head as he felt cold, not like pins and needles, but something deeper and more...ancient. Something compelling him forward as he began to fient around their sides with the momentum instilled from his first slash, kicking mud up as he hastily took a chance to try and throw the whole of his fist through the champu...and send the blade right into the Swordy's faceplate like an animal with a low base filled growl of anger. Teeth clenched through the pain he felt as the blade broke midair.

Jazz, your vitals are going haywire. You need to get back here now! I need to-I'm continuing! Give me the GigasArm! The two shouted at each other, Jazz looking up at the sky indignantly as he growled lowly in turn, the markings on his eye glowing brighter in turn with the pain he felt. But this didn't stop him from moving regardless, his heart beating heavy and fast between the two forces in his head, one trying to take over, the other fighting back. Even as he moved his way down to where the Volcaner was at, he could feel his psyche being pulled back and forth between three extremes.

Of course, even as the chip was downloaded to him, he could hear Stephine in the back of his head while growls and swears from the beast and himself continued on unabated. He needed to end this before things got too far out of hand as he tried to corner the Volcaner before it could get too far away, a short distance away from it as he threw his arm out to the side, the hare's fist quickly coating itself with a black steel as he did. The heft of the weapon around his fist as he made sure to not miss his strike, he didn't want this fight going on for longer than it needed to. Ain't nothin personal. It's just buisness. He spoke softly, as he rushed towards the volcanic virus, adjusting his path if it had made an attempt to move and evade his weapon...and threw a massive haymaker towards the side of the virus' body, an attempt to chunk it in one massive hit and end the conflict before it could continue...searing electrical discharge and freezing cold both clashing within.

Fighting atop the mostly ruined remains of the giant stove in a muddy king-of-the-hill style brawl, the shovel-wielding swordy was already had its weapon of choice drawn back, and managed to take the next lunging stab at Jazz. The blade tried to pierce his scale armour, but ultimately deflected, scoring the defence but doing no harm to the hare beneath. Jazz was quick to counter with his own blade, cutting through the over-extended virus before it could recover. The sweep of his blade wold have stuck the nearby Champy as well, bu just before the blade passed through it, the virus warped slightly, some part of its natural fighting instinct insisting that it do so before striking even though Jazz was already well within range. It landed one of its two punches again – the virus just couldn't seem to connect with its leading right, for some reason – before Jazz's second sword stroke caught it on the backsweep and ended its chances at any future title matches.

The remaining virus, still searching in futility for some hot coals, rumbled and launched another chunk of magma in Jazz's direction, but as before the shot only splattered off his scales and had little impact. It seemed suddenly nervous as the navi turned his focus on it, the only remaining virus, and shuffled backwards slightly, sinking a little into the mud as though it wanted to hide.

Even so, Jazz was clearly not feeling entirely himself as he made his way to the Volcano, his mental state dubious and at war with itself. The virus tried another shot as he bore down on it, fist aimed and ready – this time it seemed to be trying to blast him with fire that might linger and burn further, but alas, the hare's sturdy protection also blocked any chance of him getting an on-going scald, too.

Perhaps the virus was particularly eager to avoid the strike, or perhaps hit was the conflicting elements in Jazz's own mind warring for control of his violence; too many hands on the wheel at once, even if most of them agreed on crushing the virus in front of them. Trying to focus and aim just seemed to make the job of doing so harder the longer he took, and when his massive blow slammed in it crushed the remaining elements of structure, sending everything collapsing into a mess of mud and debris... but the now terrified Volcaner remained in the aftermath, what passed for its features showing an expression that clearly said it was done with this madness. It shuffled away a little more, beginning an attempt to burrow out of sight and flee the scene... though it hadn't gotten away just yet...

Jazz's vision blurred as the pain and voices dragged his mind three seperate ways, his form faltered as he tried to eliminate the virus in no uncertain way. But even as his mind slowly recoiled, he watched the virus trying to escape...he could simply murder it here, the bugfrags would be nice...but something still ate away at him, even with the cybeast inside him watching...one of his other parts...and Stephine...

G-Go...I-I don't...know how much longer...I can hold back. He choked out to the Volcaner as he swayed and stumbled, bringing a hand to his face as his knee hit the mud with a splatter, his body visibly glitching out, greyscale colors...metallic reds, bloody hues...white fur caked in residue and residual data. N-Now. Run...away. He choked out again as he turned from the Volcaner, slowly getting to his feet and stumbling away from the wreckage.

Overview
1-6 Let Volcaner run away
The remaining virus didn't need to be told twice, and it took full advantage of Jazz's momentary difficulties, burrowing into the mud and then down into the baked Hades rock beneath, to escape. This left Jazz himself alone in the muddy wreckage, victorious and surrounded by a decent amount of junked data that could be converted into usable currency. When he or Steph got around to checking, it seemed as though the Chumpu's boxing kit had remained intact enough to be taken up as chip data too – hopefully Jazz would have better luck with the one-two rhythm than the virus had experienced.

The hare continued to glitch out, slowly stumbling through the mud as he continued to fight back against the teathers of his mind. Come back Jazz. Get back in the PET! Stephine shouted as he continued to move forwards. No...I-I'd destroy the PET Stephine. I need to let...the beast out. He spoke, the hare slowly hobbling into the network.

(battle 3, Swordy-F2 bounty)
Struggling with himself and the conflicting energies within him, Jazz struggled forward, barely cognisant of his surroundings as the echo of the beast he'd bested had its battle lust whetted and refused to be still. Ahead, the land began to decline gradually towards a lower valley; if he looked far enough to either side, it might even appear to be a massive caldera of some sort, with the land beneath his feet blasted, baking furnace that threw up a thick heat haze.

In the distance, the valley funnelled towards the glow of molten magma, but there were shapes between here and there; a large metallic mass shifted, the profile of a Cragger, but sturdier still than its normal net brethren, it shuffled to face the approaching hare, off to his left. Straight ahead, a single patch of misting, melting ice created a conflicting haze beneath a frosty turret, while off to his right a pair of swordy-type viruses seemed to be sparring with each other over some perceived slight. One, its sword ablaze seemed to be confidently pressuring the one further down the slope as it wielded a heavier-looking buster blade. The ground rumbled as the far off lava bubbled. More were coming; Jazz could almost feel it in a way that was hard to understand.

MetalCraggerMetalCragger (Cragger)

Craggers are pretty easy targets, given their size. They also move very rarely, and when they do they move slowly. Their dodge rate is abysmal. They generally rely on their HardBody defense, which reduces non-break damage by half, but doubles break damage. They have high attack power and AoE, but their accuracy is generally bad as their attacks are easy to follow and take time to deliver. Their attack is executed as a Drop Attack, and thus attacks from above, and not head-on. Targets caught underground within this attack's AoE range take an additional 50 Null damage that ignores all defenses.

MonoSwordinMonoSwordin (MonoSword)

MonoSword are distant cousins of Swordy, but have evolved further in an attempt become more a threat. They attack by teleporting in front of their target, and slashing with their namesake before returning to their original position. Their blades are sturdier than most, and can cut through things regular ones cannot, such as shields. Their bulky armor also gives them above average stamina, but it weighs them down to the point where they do not move or dodge, aside from attacking. Despite it lacking any sort of defense that would bestow such a weakness, they ironically take additional damage from Break attribute attacks.

-=Battle 3, Start!=-
Jazz shuddered as he continued on, his feet ever so barely keeping under his movements as he soon collapsed atop of the metallic paneling, splayed out face down on the floor, the only thing keeping his body from getting scalded from the furnaces was the floatshoes that held him aloft if only barely. His form quivering and twitching as he could hear the beast within call to his shattered psyche and the beast nestled in his heart, chest glowing with a faint electrical charge as Stephine's calls to Jazz were drowned out from within the hare's mind.

Time now, Hare. Power course through you. Your calling to the void answered by Riccio the Solitary Thunder, may you fight with renewed ferocity! The creature within yelled, quills across it's back buzzing near the hare's face, as outwards stormclouds gathered above the field of battle, electricity crackling and buzzing in the ebon clouds as they blotted out the area's natural light from above. Metal clash. Metal clang. Metal bang. Metal boom. Together in harmony with crash and buzz of electricity, may you be Riccio's harald in this sweltering hole to hell itself!

Jazz's form continued to quiver outwards, violent spasms following shortly after as the clouds overhead gathered above, darkness clouding sight after sight as electricity rumbled. Crackled. Pins and needles following as the hare's form began to slowly lift upwards, a cadaver who's limbs lifelessly hung downwards. Before a flash of light illuminated the area, a crack of thunder and explosion of electricity directly hitting the hare's form and with it, fur turning blacker than even ash as the lightning wrapped around his body and with it, the hare's form glitching, the hare's armaments, clothing, everything would disappear in a second as opaque rubber began to cover his torso from neck to forearm to protect the hare's body, if not from itself, to protect itself from Riccio's power and fury.

Metal practically being ripped away from the areas beyond where navi and virus stood as electricity would begin to form it around his body, bolts and screws, rust and chrome, everything not a virus or that wasn't nailed to the floor, metaphorically and literally, would begin to float and circle around the hare's limp form. His body twitching and convulsing all the while within where he had been lifted from. It would be a moment later as another crash of thunder and an explosion of light to blind all who saw the sights previous, before dimming as quickly as the light came...and in it's place, not a green hare...but an avatar of the beast of thunder.

The body plated in metal from head to toe, mouth replaced with an elongated snout instead of a more "sunken" face, but regardless the changes continued as the hare's feet had elongated a bit to more easily balance the new weight on his body, as liquid mercury had covered his legs with segmented metal kneeguards with rusty metal quills jutting out from the front of each knee. Iron and steel hanging off the Hare's torso in the form of both an oversized breastplate that hung off his body somewhat loosely, as well as four steel cables that clung precariously to the armor connected to a massive segmented shell that could quite easily cover the hare defensively. All while his feet and hands clung to new metal, nails grown to a couple inches outwards...and curled inwards like thick, massive scythes attached to his bulky digits. All the while electricity jumped back and forth between the copper wires that now consisted of his ears, not unlike the Bunnies that hopped around the internet as a whole. And at the end of this transformation, the viruses and any onlookers could see stunning ebony black intermixed with bright golden hues that traveled across his body, fur, armor and all. And at the end, as his eyes opened, golden hues intermixed with his irises as the eyes were as pitch black as the clouds above...with a small shine of purest silver in the sockets.
The transformed monster in front of all stood hunched over, knees bent forwards as a silence fell over the field...and rearing back, the avatar of the beast brought his arms up. His back falling further behind him. And finally...a garbled roar escaping those metallic lips of his, rows and rows of sharpened metal teeth could be seen from the side as he brought his arms to the skies and let out the radio static filled roar.

GROOOAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR

Those who had heard Riccio's roar before could be mistaken that they were hearing him down in Hades, the voice reverberating throughout the area as lighting struck and hit all about the area. Jazz had been taken over, that much was sure...but at the same time, it wasn't as cut and dry. Stephine would get a ping that broke her away from the sights in front of her, the words "Beast Out" on her screen flashing in bold red letters, the...visual adhesiveness of Jazz's RiccioOut finally broken. A staggered message on the screen from Jazz "Chips. Change field. I...cannot speak...thoughts...being transmitted to radio...try...103.9 AM..."

Stephine immediately began to scramble about for chips, immediately picking up the Mudstage that she quickly slotted in for Jazz, the Hare's processor's immediately began to make use of it. Lightning striking the field with an untold ferocity, metal grates and lava being struck with electrifying swiftness and strength, metal flung across the field and out of the way as the heated hell that was Hades' underbelly had well fed soil beneath the heat, soft rains flowing from the thunderous skies soon after, a heavy rain across the field to feed that soil with warm rains, even as the avatar stood there and stared as the rains continued, electricity zapped and destroyed drop after drop of water, glowing golden irises glaring meanacingly in the brief pause as the warmed rains finally finished. Soon it's gaze went towards the hardened creature of icy blue, the Coldhead. The beast's avatar would begin to move, keeping low towards the ground, but despite that would make a quick movement as a metallic purple ball slid into it's scythed hand, no bigger than a shotput.

The beast's movement would make the attempt to slip beneath any swords angled at it's face, sliding with speed enough to kick up the mud beneath it and with a overhead throw, attempted to send the bomb and it's payload at the MetalCragger, sending it flying with great strength near to the clouds before gravity would take hold again and send it falling with just as much speed into the ground, hopefully with enough force to crack the skull of the Cragger into shards, poison coating the ground with a large cloud of noxious fumes to join it.

Whilst Stephine was trying to get a Radio to work on her PET, the hare's strength only began to fluxuate wildly, power beginning to flood it's body as the beast's avatar downloaded the Synapse data the operator had shoved into the PET without a second thought, the beast's ears quickly taking hold of it, a bright glow from atop the two bunny-like ears as it charged the fluxuating hold of electricity up and with a loud snap of the avatar's neck, sent the data flying towards the Coldhead that had been there, another breaking annoyance to deal with, but one that would fry it immediately if the conditions were right, the beast not having the ability to wait for it's mouth to open, but regardless, would make sure to try. Though upon contact or miss, the ball would make an attempt to pass across the MonoSwordin's body in turn, as well as the Swordy's, with the Mono likely getting the worse deal between the two "richocheted" targets, currents attempting to zap it even harder than it's contemporary.

And finally for it's rampage for the moment, the avatar's body would move faster than before, hard to keep up with it's movements as it zigged and zagged towards the duo of sword wielders. A heavy rime coating the claws of the beast as it dashed forwards with uncanny speed, mud kicking into the air as it lunged forward at it's target from the front, raising it's arm high into the air and, with a snap of speed and quick predator wits, slid around the back of the MonoSwordin, the scythed claws attepting to find purchase through it's chest as the beast growled lowly at the poor virus, backflipping as soon as it had struck to evade getting counterattacked in turn.

The viruses, initially taking note of a new navigator, took brief pause at the peculiar behaviour. The pulse of static and the growling rumble of thunder seemed to shake them in a way uncharacteristic of normal virus behaviour. Something wasn't right about this, and they all seemed to feel it. The ColdHead slammed its metal jaws shut, defending itself as the terrible transformation asserted itself and the skies broke open with lightning and out of place storming rain.

The ground grew slippery with freshly dampened mud and the baking caldera soon became a treacherous mud-bowl that might cause any indelicate step to send person tumbling down to its bottom. Holding its position and struggling against the sudden mudslide, the heavy Cragger virus dug in with one arm and raised the other, slamming it downward to aim a crashing bludgeon at the newly transformed hare; it missed by a wide margin, damaging the ground where it struck.

The two sword-wielding viruses also seemed to put aside their disagreement and turned towards Jazz as well. In a flash, they both warped to positions on either side of him, but the Monoswordin was the more aggressive of the two, striking out rapidly in the same motion. Jazz was ready, at least at an instinctual level, and dodged away from the fast strike, sliding past the blade before sending a crashing metal shot towards the Cragger with enough force to shatter the virus into rubble in a single hit.

A sudden impact, catching him blindside, brought pain and a sensation of stinging cold while the ground beneath him and the two sword-wielders. The ColdHead virus had opened up to take a shot of its own, connecting with a painful shell, but Jazz retaliated immediately. Or rather, the fragment of the solitary thunder within him did. This was a power familiar to it, and as the synaptic bolt lanced out it looked different. Lightning, but spreading, angular, almost like golden circuit lines tracing and meshing their way through the air in a bright glow. They struck the ColdHead, annihilating it before racing back up the path they'd travelled and branching back to either side of Jazz as well. The Monoswordin had no time to react and as the golden lightning hit it crackled and destroyed the would-be sword-fighter with a brilliant flare. The flame Swordy, more cautious, just barely managed to duck away from the tracing lightning bolt, but Jazz was already moving to intercept. No sooner had the Swordy dodged the lightning than Jazz was behind hit, driving in afresh blade with just the right elemental properties to eliminate it in a single smooth thrust.

More. It was hard to tell whether the thought...feeling? was a demand or a warning... perhaps both. Either way, more were indeed coming. A Megalian, flying high, had zipped down to inspect and was just coming into range above the muddle bowl now, while on the far side from Jazz a pair of flame-jetting Blazers approached the edge and spun into synchronised side turns, peeling around the edges of the muddy pit as they raced towards the conflicted navigator.

-=Round 2!=-
The avatar of the beast let out it's growls and a low roar as he was damaged on multiple fronts, feeling the cool ice beneath his feet even if he couldn't touch it, a soft shiver going up the spine of the thrall. But the feeling faded as more came to challenge him...neck snapping towards the Megalian and quickly between the two Blazers, it was clear they were coming in for a pincer attack. The Beast Thrall would hear chips being slotted into the PET without a second of hesitation, Stephine's voice seeming further away the longer the hare was under the beast's thrall. Quick as it was to start the chip download, the beast's body beginning to fade into the darkness of the area, electrical sparks discharging around the thrall's body as intangibility slowly taking over as little more than a massive blob of blackness took over it's body.

The Beast's thrall took this chance to analyze the situation as it took on full invincibility against these three viruses, watching them continuing to move towards it in the interim, the beast raising an arm high into the air before driving the claw straight down into the ice beneath it's feet, earthquakes beginning to bring the earth to heel under the beast's power as poison withered away, mud and sludge slowly disappearing into the abyss below as holes in the earth began to show where nothing grounded could potentially survive the fall into the yawning abyss below. And then came the roar of a separate dragon, the virus known as the Bluegon would begin to appear from the created abyss with a simple roar of anger, the creature clearly out of it's element in this sweltering hole in Hades Net. Regardless, the viral creature set it's eyes upon the three viruses within the area and rearing back, the dragon let out a blast of ice throughout the area as three icicles formed in the air and began to hone in on the three viruses here, sweeping through the area, attempting to catch the trio faltering and land a blow against them.

It was at this moment, the beast's thrall would feel something from behind him, a prick to his back right along where his spinal column would be, feeling a healing liquid beginning to flood through the beast's form, however slight it would be. As well as liquid metal beginning to coat over the avatar of the beast's form, despite the intangibility it had, a simple barrier, casing and shield on the back of the beast's hand would slide along and harden across his body, barrier ready to block incoming damage and protect the beast's form for however long they stood. Though the beast could have wreaked more upon the viruses, it chose instead to wait...bide it's time and see what happened next, hopefully it's summoned help would manage to delete the three before the next wave arrived...

The pair of Blazers roared in towards Jazz in sync, arcing around the edges of the mud and partially baking it dry beneath their flames as they began to spin up, but as they crossed over in their perfectly executed pincer, the two viruses passed through the transformed hare's body without making contact. They wobbled and peeled slightly, thrown off balance by the lack of expected impact.

A moment later, the ground rumbled as their target thrust one clawed hand into the earth and collapsed the bubbling poison patch, only for a fresh contender to roar up from the newly formed hole. Before it could attack, the Megalian zipped down, aiming to batter the apparent summoner of this new power but, like the blazers before, found that its projected ram couldn't make any purchase on their foe. There was no time for any other action, for the viruses at least; the dragon released its frozen attacks and, despite the difficulty that Jazz might have had controlling his summon's aim each shot still managed to land with freezing obliteration against each of the three viral targets. The Megalian even attempt to reposition and dodge away from the deadly shard of ice, but it failed to escape all the same.

With each creature defeated, Jazz, or the beast fragment he was channelling at least, could feel data flowing to him, being drawn in from their destroyed forms and filling him with increased power and potential. In whatever part of his mind still remained itself, Jazz might detect something distantly familiar in the sensation; this was not nearly so refined, controlled or clean, but there was a definite note of familiarity to the feeling.

As the viruses around him feel, Jazz brought up further defences and restored himself, even if the beast in him was more focused on destruction. It came not a moment too soon, however: even as he made these preparations, another section of the muddy bowl crumbled and then burst up, sending a small scatter of rocks and mud everywhere. The damaged, cracked section had burst to reveal an advanced Drixol, freshly burrowed to the surface to see what the fuss was about. Further down, at the centre of the pit where the magma had previously been bubbling, another sword-wielding virus pulled itself from the muck. This one bore a long katana, and had a more traditional samurai aesthetic to it, compared to the western style, knightly visage of the swordy family. Jazz would have a good moment for comparison, in fact, as a second flame swordy crested the ridge a moment later, drawn in by the promise of fresh data to be spilled.

List of the Dead: MetalCraggerMetalCragger (Cragger)

Craggers are pretty easy targets, given their size. They also move very rarely, and when they do they move slowly. Their dodge rate is abysmal. They generally rely on their HardBody defense, which reduces non-break damage by half, but doubles break damage. They have high attack power and AoE, but their accuracy is generally bad as their attacks are easy to follow and take time to deliver. Their attack is executed as a Drop Attack, and thus attacks from above, and not head-on. Targets caught underground within this attack's AoE range take an additional 50 Null damage that ignores all defenses.

, MonoSwordinMonoSwordin (MonoSword)

MonoSword are distant cousins of Swordy, but have evolved further in an attempt become more a threat. They attack by teleporting in front of their target, and slashing with their namesake before returning to their original position. Their blades are sturdier than most, and can cut through things regular ones cannot, such as shields. Their bulky armor also gives them above average stamina, but it weighs them down to the point where they do not move or dodge, aside from attacking. Despite it lacking any sort of defense that would bestow such a weakness, they ironically take additional damage from Break attribute attacks.
