    RE: Artificer's Chains
    Hmm....ghostly apparitions. I count two.

Are you sure? I'm getting data for three.

    No, I cou-

    There's the third one.

-A Spooky attempts to lick Deus, but he dives out of the way.-

Off he goes. I see two immobile targets as well. Fifty points of health. Perfect.

Line up the shot carefully, Dei. Here you go. Shotgun, uploading.

DXM's chains flash warningly and constrict slightly around him. A Spooky has crept nearer to him, and he doesn't look friendly.

    Wha... eh! Begone, pest!

Deus strafes to the left and fires a large blast, seemingly from his palm, at the offending virus, then turns and runs forward through the small cloud of smoke and cracks off a shot of densely packed pellets at the green, immobile targets.

    1. Dodge (Spooky attack)
    2. Cannon, SpookyC (40 damage)
    3. Shotgun, both Canodumbs (Primary target A, spread B, 50 damage)

    RE: Artificer's Chains
    You were right.

Yeah. That wasn't difficult at all. 'Course, after I say that, a big bad virus will probably get us.

    Someone's optimistic.

Well, in any case, keep going. Maybe we'll find something of interest. The internet's pretty dull without viruses.

Check it. It says 'optional'.. and it was approved.

    RE: Artificer's Chains
This doesn't look too difficult. Just some tactics, and we should be okay.

Precisely. Give me something that goes bang.

Here. Shotgun. Let's see if my chain programming functions properly.

Crackling power fills the circling chain, spinning it faster and faster. Deus reaches out and snatches it from the air, cracking it like a lash. Another chain entwines him, appearing from the small portal that quickly winks out of existence.

DXM circumvents the group of viruses partway, aiming carefully for a shot. He snaps the chain out straight, and it morphs into a long, runed barrel, blasting off a speedy piercing shot at the nearest virus. Deus then turns it and rams the end, which has turned pointy, into the ground.

A chain bursts out of the ground near the furthest virus, hoping to impale or smash it.

Finally, the entwining chain smashes against the panels below Deus' feet, lifting him from the ground momentarily.

    1. Shotgun fired at MetoolA, possible spread to B
    2. Chain Bind, no Holding, against MetoolC
    3. Raised off the ground, but immobile while concentrating (Dodge)

    Artificer's Chains
    Silence.

    .....

A light flashes briefly, then steadies and widens into a small slit. A glowing chain pours through the opening and forms a perfect ring, attaching to its own end.

It begins to spin, becoming a bright blur, then drops, spiralling, downwards, loading the twisted graphic of Deus ex Machina in perfect unison, almost like a magician's trick.

But this is no trick. This is the Artificer.

    [/obligatory dramatic first entry]

Deus steps forward, and the glowing chain ring rises from his feet to chest level, though it maintains distance from him and continues slowly spinning.

    How's your control?

Perfect. It won't stay that way if I'm disrupted, though. I need more practice.

You might get that opportunity. Those look hostile.

Deus ex Machina is a strange Navi to look at for any length of time. His outline wavers slightly and other oddities only add to the effect; he's dressed in light black armor, which isn't special. Black, wide bracelets inscribed with glowing white runes encircle his wrists and ankles, and he wears no shoes. He wears a brilliantly shining, white-translucent earring in his left ear. The major oddities, however, are the thick chains emblazoned with glowing runes that are entwined about his body; constantly shifting with no apparent force driving them. Machina can control them to some extent, but they are quite heavy. He also wears a black blindfold, but maintains full awareness of his surroundings. DxM's hair is completely white and hangs in ragged, spiky locks all around his head.

Machina maintains a mild interest in human affairs, but doesn't really care, though he tries. He is, however, loyal to Kei and will not hesitate to help those he feels like helping; though this list will start out narrow and won't widen much.

He fights for the most part dispassionately, though he concentrates and gains better clarity of mind in difficult battles.

    Weapon: Machina, the Chained Blade

The Chained Blade consists of a handle on a crescent-shaped hilt, with the points of the crescent pointed towards the blade. Chains are wrapped about the hilt and bind the blade to it. Chains also wrap DxM's hand when he wields it, for better stability.

    Signature Attack

    1.0.0: Chain Bind - 40 Null Damage - 2/3TCD - [Optional Clause] 1 turn Recovery (+30 cap) - Holding (-50 cap)
Runed chains erupt from the ground beneath an opponent, lashing them or entwining them for a short time. The intense power focused on them causes them to rust at an accelerated rate, so they don't last long. Also, the mental force of will required exhausts Machina, and the rusted chains take a while to restructure.

    Exhaust smoke from moving vans..
Standing beside a stack of boxes on the driveway of his new home, Kei rubbed his eyes and watched the departing vehicles disappear around a corner. With a sigh and a tinkling of silver around his neck, he hoisted two boxes up and walked toward his new front door.

Noting the nameplate from the previous owners, Kei peered at it on his way in, but it was smudged and obviously quite old, and, most importantly, illegible.

All of his furniture was lightweight and uncomplicated, in case he wished to rearrange it at any time. This also meant moving into the house could be done by himself. His feet thudded on the stairs as he moved toward his bedroom; the house was two-bedroom, although fairly small. As he didn't have many guests, the second bedroom was to be his computer room. This was the equipment he was currently carrying in the boxes.

Stacking the boxes near the doorway, Kei walked back outside and retrieved what looked like a long, oddly shaped, vaguely flat object and another, larger box. Reaching the room again, he unfolded it into an ingeniously structured self-supporting L-shaped table and laid his PET on it, before bringing the rest of the boxes into his living room and locking the door.

    Deus stirred.

    Are you done yet?

Yeah. I had my 'net connected a few days before arrival, so I should be able to jack in with no problem.

    Very well.

Kei walked over to the boxes and began unpacking a complicated assortment of wires and peripherals, and finally the computer itself. It had a very thin screen connected to a strange-looking tower; it seemed to be composed of half-size CPUs linked together. There were five in all, two on each side and one under the monitor.

The power cord connected to the wall, Kei tapped the power panel and the PC hummed to life.

    Jack in.

I still play, but on a private server; even kRO doesn't have WoE 2.0

As for WoW, I'm on Sisters of Elune (lewls RP server) though I havent been playing.

    RE: 3 Word Story
So, yesterday this story game started, but nobody played. CRAWLING IN MY GIANT TACO BEAST! Common copied Hiko as he committed sodomy, incest, and burglary, but then Hiko edited this and all other posts to destroy Dr. Wiley's robots! But the UN recruited RevivedSin to murder Shuryou's Dutchness, because of conspiracies against the queen of Alamander, then the sentence ended. Zetta will Overlord YOUR FREAKING FACE OFF! Zetta wins! Proclaimed Medic ecstatically to the face on his butt. But then...Medic de-activated caps lock with a flashy "SHOOP DA WHOOP!" FOR THE EMPEROR! So now we pull down our wallpaper, for it was rather erotic. Ergo, Hiko phails, and changes punctuation because he fails. But not as a human, merely like Commondragon does. Haha, I jest. Darkrai is the phailord alongside Hiko who is phailqueen, so the phailprince is darkstar whom hates himself because he must succeed through epic failure.

Ragnarok Online- On and off since 2003. I'm pro-est here. Stalkers ftw.

I take issue with your claim and find that you are a knob.

    Don' liek stalkers.

Champions are cool. I've had the most fun using a Throw Fuuma ninja, though.

    ANYWAY

    In order of play:

    Runescape aka utter fail
    MapleStory aka lolgrind
Ragnarok Online aka funfunfun but also lolgrind
    World of Warcraft (yeah, yeah)

MapleStory is only tolerable when you have friends playing with you. Then you don't even notice the grinding.

Ragnarok has a brilliant PvP thing set up with War of Emperium.

World of Warcraft is, of course, very good; however, it has entirely too many immature players and chinese gold farmers.

I would like to try out City of Heroes/Villains and EVE Online; I have a new external hard drive to put them on now.
