Yay Netopia!

Tennisman and Deuce walk on and start padding on a beach... what?

Stopping abruptly, Tennisman notices a vast black sea in front of him, and also a single rowboat, complete with paddles.

Hmmm... well should he ride the boat? There doesn't seem to be any alternative than doing that or going back to where he came from.

Ride Boat?
[Yes/No]
"This is... Odd." Deuce said.

"Yeah really," Desmond chuckled, "Who the hell left a boat here in the middle of nowhere?"

Tennisman scanned the area for another way to continue but there was clearly only one option available to him. He relented and made his way to the boat.

"You're not seriously considering climbing into that thing, are you?" Deuce asked, "This could be a trap."

"Dude, you ALWAYS think it's a trap." Desmond mocked.

"There is only one route to take." Tennisman said.

"Well, you know, unless you feel like swimming across..." Desmond added.

Tennisman gave the suggestion a little thought before believing it an even more dangerous option than the sketchy boat.

"What if you just used Court Change a lot and walked across?" Deuce suggested.

Again, Tennisman gave it some consideration but rationalized it to be too exhausting on his systems to alter enough terrain to form an entire penninsula.

"It would require too much time and energy." Tennisman replied.

His mind was set. Carefully stepping onto the wobbly vessel, Tennisman took a seat, careful not to tip the whole boat over. He let go of Deuce, who floated around the ship and inspected it for leaks or bombs.

"We good?" Desmond asked.

Deuce was reluctant to answer but made a small whirling motion as a sign of his tentative approval. That was good enough for Tennisman as he pushed off from the shore and began to row across the mysterious black sea.

((Yes))
The boat seemed sturdy enough. It was of fine make and looked like it wouldn't break unless subjected to large amounts of force, which is the case with most things but whatever.

Rowing along, Tennisman comes into the bottom of a canyon of sorts and then to a fork in the road generated by a 50 story high cliff.

To the left it seemed teeming with many rocky obstacles that would be hard to maneuver around with the rowboat while the right path looked straight and clear with no signs of immediate danger.

So which path shall Tennisman choose?

[Left/Right]?
"Left." Deuce stated just as Desmond said, "Right."

And thus, the bickering began. The naive bluntness of Desmond's point of view raged against Deuce's paranoid conceptualizations. Tennisman wasn't sure what to do and tried to listen to their arguments but there wasn't enough time to a serious weighing of the pros and cons. Aiming for the path of least resistance, Tennisman gave a few strong strokes along one side of the boat, pushing it towards the calm right path.

"YES!" cheered Desmond, clearly pleased with the choice.

"...Ugh." Deuce spat in disgust, "This is not going to turn out well..."

"Man, CHILL!" Desmond added.

((Right))

Veering the boat to the right, Tennisman rows along a not-so-narrow ravine and into another open area.

He then sees another fork in the road and something quite... interesting.

The first thing the navi spots is a lone island with a tree in the middle, nothing strange there. It's to his right.

Then to his horror, the sportsnavi sees a brooding six headed monster to his left, prowling about a cliff.

Should he take to the island? Or should he go through the path of the monster?

[Island?]/[Monster?]
Deuce and Desmond were in total agreement as they let out a synchronous, "RIGHT."

Tennisman was in awe of the hydra as it crept along the cliff. He had no idea what it was, but it looked dangerous and he wasn't about to let that pass.

"I am going left." Tennisman said and began to row towards the beast.

"...Why would you say that?" Deuce asked, "It's pretty clear which path you should take.

"SERIOUSLY!! EVEN I THINK THIS IS STUPID!" Desmond added.

"You see? Even lesser minds can understand this situation." Deuce mocked with a serious tone.

"Yea- HEY!" Desmond snapped, "Screw you!"

"Joking aside, why would you go and fight that thing? And more importantly, HOW would you fight it? It's clearly too high up to reach by boat." Deuce noted.

"I am not sure but I cannot allow it to harm others." Tennisman replied.

"HARM WHO?" Desmond shouted, "WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A FREAKING OCEAN ON SOME BOAT YOU FOUND. WHO COULD YOU POSSIBLY SAVE OUT HERE?"

"And who's to say that thing's even harmful? It looks pretty harmless from here." Added Deuce.

"Then let us investigate." Tennisman said as he quickened his pace slightly.

"Ah crap." Desmond said.

((row row fight the monster))
Tennisman furiously paddles toward the cliff, where the monster spots the navi and lets out an ear-piercing howl, one of its heads lunging for the boat, catching it by the tip, and flipping it over the cliff, causing Tennisman and Deuce to fall out and hit... dry ground?

The monster standing before them turned and glowered at the navi and support program, raking its front claws on the vast expanse of dry ground that it itself took up a huge portion of.

It was a grotesque beast, of epic proportions. Six necks extended snakelike from its large torso, each ending in a large head of a woman. Its torso was supported by twelve massive canine legs, and the tail of a fish finished off the monster.

"Foolish child, you have come to face the wrath of Sinistal? So be it!" the chimera howled, preparing for battle.

To his far front left, Tennisman spotted a green crystal all by its lonesome.

-BATTLE 10-
-ODYSSEY MONSTER EVENT-
-GO GO GO-
Tennisman and Deuce landed as gracefully as they could have, considering they were tossed ashore like a helping of mashed potatoes. Tennisman managed to land on his feet but the inertia carried him forward causing him to tumble and roll onto his side roughly. He caught and cradled Deuce with his own body, protecting the racket like an oddly shaped child.

Deuce groaned, "Well, I do believe we may be in over our heads here."

"For sure, you're not over its heads. Its got six." Desmond said jokingly.

"Hilarious." Deuce stated with a deadpan tone, "Clearly, we need to run. Now."

Tennisman got to his feet and stared at the beast, sizing it up with a series of analytical scans.

"You honestly think you have a chance against that monstrosity?" Deuce asked in disbelief, "Even if you do, I certainly do not. Desmond, jack me out."

"Dude, you're not going anywhere." Desmond replied, "We gotta work as a team! TEAMWORK!"

"No, we need to run. Run away! RETREAT!" Deuce answered back parodically.

"Desmond." Tennisman said, "Jack Deuce out. It is too dangerous."

"Yes, you heard the man. Too- Waiwaiwait, what?" Deuce stammered, "You're seriously going to fight it alone?"

Tennisman remained silent.

"I didn't think you were really going to... You can't... That's..."

"COME ON!" Desmond shouted, "IN OR OUT?"

"GUARD." Deuce shouted back.

The strings across Deuce's head flashed a bright yellow as Tennisman dashed away in a swift dodge. The battle had begun and Deuce was locked in. The connection that Tennisman shared with Deuce was more than a superficial grip as their systems integrated themselves into one another. Deuce was now an extension of Tennisman's arm more than anything else, however Deuce liked to believe it was the other way around.

"Ideas?" Deuce asked.

"I have none." Tennisman replied and suddenly snapped his path, dashing straight for the hydra.

"Whoa! Whoa! WHOA!" Deuce screamed.

"Windracket." Tennisman said calmly, even as he bolted into the heart of the enormous monster.

The chip data infused itself into Deuce again and was expended just as quickly. With a wave of his arm, Deuce released a powerful burst of air to clear their path. Tennisman refused to stop and continued running despite his racket's pleas to stop. As he reached the desired range, Tennisman shot his arm out as if to push the beast back with only his palm.

"Elecpulse." He said, unleashing the sparking waves across and around him. Yellow rings rippled out in front of him, cascading with one another in a vibrant display of electromagnetic disturbance. The attack finished with another tactical sidestep followed with some erratic running patterns.

"That was your big plan!?" Deuce practically growled.

Too busy with avoiding being hit, Tennisman didn't notice Deuce setting off a signature program without his authorization. He suddenly found himself delivering a series of fast paced serves as he retreated, catching him by surprise.

As he finished, Tennisman asked, "Did you do that?"

To which Deuce replied, "Teamwork."

Tennisman is quick to Guard as one of Sinistal's heads lunges down to bite on him. The damage is instantly reflected by the Guard, leaving the head that just attacked to recoil in shock. As Deuce throws up his barrier, another of the monstrosity's heads fires a powerful beam at Tennisman, which the barrier successfully guards against, but dissipates after taking the blow.

Another head takes this chance and lunges at Tennisman, but the sportsman rushes inward toward the giant's belly to dodge, effectively putting himself out of the range of his enemy's attack.

"Persistent child," the monster growls before Tennisman builds up wind around a powerful racket and unleashes it on Sinistal, knocking it far back. Another head fires a beam, but Tennisman avoids it again, though it was pretty close to singing his ear.

Accessing another chip, Tennisman blasts out his ElecPulse, which is able to cover the entire beast and, graphically, shrink its legs, causing it to collapse under its own weight and not move, something akin to a stun effect it seems.

Deuce's team donated Ace Serve is quickly cut off by a burning beam of energy from the last head. All the heads are seething in anger at Tennisman as the legs return to their normal size and Sinistal makes a fearsomely loud roar.

The battle continues and the Mystery Data remains unharmed.

Tennisman stopped for a moment and saw that his Elecpulse gambit hadn't paid off as much as he had hoped. Sinistal had suffered a minor inconvenience at best but at least Tennisman and Deuce had barely escaped unscathed.

"Guard." Deuce said again, relapsing into his defensive form.

At this distance, there was no way for Tennisman to deal the damage necessary to defeat this monster. His strongest attacks were limited to melee range and he needed to get in close to use them.

He ran in straight towards Sinistal again, a plan forming in his head.

"Zapring," Tennisman said and waved his arm out as if to throw something. A sparking halo shot forwards as he continued to run.

"HiCannon." He said next, keeping his arm extended and pointing it at the closest of Sinistal's heads. However, in a swift change of tactics, Tennisman snapped the weapon down and leapt up, firing the gun as he did. The powerful recoil, along with his initial jump, kicked him far up into the air. Not having thought this far ahead, he was now an easy target drifiting through the air straight into Sinistal's jaws.

"Heyyyy...?" Deuce slurred.

In a panic, Tennisman requested another chip, "Lilbomb!"

In an attempt to clear a path for his landing, he whipped the explosive forward and smashed a tennis balls with help from Deuce. A second later, he landed hard into a roll but found himself slowly sliding away.

"Kunai!" He called out.

Wielding the small blades, he dug them into the surface and clawed his way forward. He stabbed down again and again, trying to stabilize himself but found himself running out of breath.

"Desmond! slot-in a Moonblade." Deuce said and imbued Tennisman with a fraction of his energy. The navi quickened his pace and redoubled his efforts, wielding a modified version of his kunai. Tennisman wobbled about but held his ground and his weapon firmly. He could cripple his opponent and level the playing field if this worked. He ducked down and prepared to strike.

((Wow...I rolled a RNG for the Moonblade with 50/50 chance. You lucky bastard~))

Preparing his defense, TennisMan soon took off and headed directly towards the colossus virus with full speed! Sinistal's snake heads all loomed towards the navi at once, all bearing their fangs. Fortunately, TennisMan was somewhat prepared for such situation and threw the Zapring and flew himself upwards with the help of the Hi-Cannon.

The Zapring crashed against the heads, causing most of them to twitch back and shake back and forth to get rid of the shock, but one of Sinistal's head was unaffected and kept a close eye at the flying navi. "FOOLISH MOVE!" yelled in a screeching fashion.

The one head fired its beam eyes at the floating navi, but again, TennisMan came well prepared. Three, nearly-unidentifiable balls came flying in a blue towards the virus and crashed against her head, causing a gigantic explosion. However, the beam was still fired and, to the navi's surprise, cracked and the beam struck the navi's torso dead on! Part of the beam was still reflected back, but the pain still lingered deeply.

Now heading towards the back of the virus, TennisMan tried to catch himself with the Kunai, which he did, and climbed up towards the heads. All six was too disoriented from the navi's previous attack and couldn't focus where he was, giving a even better advantage TennisMan already had. With his MoonBlade, he spun and spun around like a crazed man and managed to cut a deep gash into 5 of the heads! All the heads realized the situation and turned 180 degree to face the navi. But one of the head stopped moving after a few seconds and suddenly started to disintegrate into harmless datas. "KYYYAARRRHHHH!! YOU'LL PAY, CHILD!!"

Having managed to rid Sinistal of one of its heads, a tinge of relief passed over Tennisman knowing that victory was possible. However, with the remaining five heads bearing down on him, that victory was not going to come easy. Knowing that he couldn't stop all of them if they struck together, he aimed for something else entirely.

"Aurahead!" Tennisman called out and instantly infused the chip data through Deuce.

His racket's barrier pulsed back to life around its face as a thin bubble of translucent energy. With all his strength and both hands firmly clamped down on Deuce's grip, Tennisman smashed his racket straight down like a hammer, right over Sinistal's spine. It was an incredibly powerful blow that Tennisman had never experienced. The reverberations of the impact shook his hands and shot up his arms like a blanket of needles.

There was no time to waste. Trying to shake off the feeling, he called for another chip, "Katana!"

Deuce's edge sharpened to approximate the shape of a battleaxe as Tennisman cut across the snaking necks in a wide arc, following up by lunging with a piercing stab. He pivoted slightly on one foot and repeated the same slashing motions against a separate set of targets. The chip disengaged and Deuce returned to normal.

"That was som-" Deuce uttered before Tennisman darted down Sinistal's back. He had seriously overstayed his welcome.

As he bolted along the creature's body, the sudden and steep slope of its lower back threatened to throw him off balance as he ran.

Deuce was quick to come up with a solution and shouted, "Ringlog!"

"Dude?" Desmond said quizzically.

But his instinct was faster than his rational thinking ability and the chip was slotted in. The log formed in the air in front of Tennisman, dropping and sliding as it hit the scaly back of the beast. Tennisman could follow Deuce's plan but didn't like it. Hopping on, Tennisman began to surf down Sinistal's tail.

"OH SNAP!" Desmond blurted out.

The air rushed past Tennisman's face as he struggled to stay balanced on the hunk of wood. He was picking up speed, making it more difficult for him to maneuver but it allowed him to close in on his destination much faster.

"Firehit!" Tennisman cried, feeling his balance finally starting to give.

Tennisman crouched down and pulled his fist back. Flames trailed behind him, lighting the path he had taken with smoke and embers. He finally tipped over, unable to maintain his footing, but at the last instant he smashed down on the log with a blazing punch. Tennisman's makeshift surfboard shattered, propelling Tennisman up and into the air again. Being airborne was starting to become a bad habit.

Before TennisMan could do anything, the remaining 5 heads started to retract back and darted straight towards the navi. Each heads chomped down each of TennisMan's limbs, almost rendering him immobile for the last attack, which was heading straight for his head. Fortunately, Deuce was able to escape from the grasp and slammed his chip-powered body to the ground, which caused all the heads to let loose of TennisMan and scream in pain. The head that was going for the navi's head suddenly went limp and dropped down against its own body, disappearing into thin air like the one before.

TennisMan quickly picked Deuce off the ground and began slicing and dicing away with his Katana. At first, it dealt a significant damage over the virus' body, but Sinistal had enough of TennisMan and suddenly lifted her body all the way up, pushing the navi into a free fall. The navi wasn't able to finish his attack, but he already thought about dropping down the virus before and had little to no problem getting down, as well as dealing extra damage with the Ringlog he used.

Tennisman made a clean landing, turning quickly to face the beast. It was down another head, but four heads was still four too many for Tennisman's liking. Slapping his hand down, he proceeded to initiate a signature program, sapping the life from the ground below.

"Court Change." Tennisman said.

Tiny grains formed over the normal panels, converting the plain white tiles below Sinistal into a small sandpit. Tennisman sank in slightly under the soft terrain and could only imagine how far down a monster of Sinistal's massive girth would sink.

"Incoming!" Deuce warned.

With his palm still firmly pressed to the ground, Tennisman changed tactics, initiating another of his signature programs and whispered, "Netplay."

A mesh barrier popped up in front of him while he prepared for his next attack.

"Dude, nice! Windracket time?" Desmond asked.

Tennisman nodded in reply.

"Make it count." Desmond ordered.

The chip data loaded, invigorating Deuce with a churning aura of air. Tennisman made a single step forward to close the distance and slashed out with Deuce. A massive wave of sand blasted up from the strike, giving form to the invisible wall of wind while clearing away part of the small dune. Flecks of gravel and silt were sprayed everywhere in a sudden blinding torrent and died down just as quickly.

"It has four heads," Reminded Deuce as he shot a ball to one of the heads, "Do you really think blinding one or three would stop it?"

Tennisman replied with a simple, "No."

Dashing to the side to take advantage of what few remaining sand panels there were, Tennisman called for another chip, "Panelshot!"

"Are you even listening to me?" Deuce asked.

Hauling up a block of sand from the ground with practically no effort, Tennisman raised it up with one hand and struck it forward with his racket in a powerserve. The sandy block couldn't retain its shape after being struck as it sailed towards one of Sinistal's heads in a misshapen brown mass. A dark pit from where the sand had been excavated laid in front of Tennisman, prompting him to step back and away from it. He had spent enough time in holes to last the rest of his life.

"Twinfang." Tennisman called out and raised his buster as he backstepped.

The gun on his arm reformatted itself into a double-barreled rocket launcher and fired off a pair of missiles high into Sinistal's cluster of snaking necks.

"Maybe you'll luck out and poke out its eyes." Deuce mused.

Tennisman was slowly running out of breath. He instinctively covered his most painful wound and tried to endure the pain. Fortunately, Deuce was quick to pick up on his discomforts and sent strings up his arm to patch over it.

Before Sinistal realized, all of its 12 feets were sinking down into the sandy grounds, but TennisMan was in the same situation. Both were nearly immobile due to the sinking sand and the virus tried its chance and launched two of its head towards the navi. Thankfully, the attack was thwarted with both TennisMan's netplay and Deuce's defense.

In quick retaliation, the navi activated his signature battlechip and gave a powerful swing right at the navi. The gust of wind was powered by the sands and dealt twice the damage and even decapitated one of the weakened heads.

The panel shot made its mark on the virus, but the same couldn't be said to the Twinfang as only one was successful. The virus, not being able to locate the navi, randomly attacked anything that was within her sight, which happened to be the Mystery Data!

"OH BALLS!" Desmond shouted at the cracked mystery data, "THE DATA! SAVE IT!"

"I would think OUR safety was paramount but apparently not." Deuce surmised.

"SAVE IT SAVE IT SAVE IT SAVE IT!" the operator panicked.

Tennisman dashed to the crystal's rescue. He wasn't entirely sure what he could do when he got there but noticed that Sinistal was still blinded by his attacks. His strategy was at least partially successful and as long as he didn't draw any attention to himself, he would at least be partially cloaked to its senses. It helped that Sinistal was thrashing around and making more noise than Tennisman was.

"GO GO GO GO GO GO GO!" Desmond cheered his navi on.

As he reached his destination, Tennisman tapped Deuce lightly to the green crystalline surface.

"What?" Deuce asked.

"Overwrap." Tennisman ordered.

"You cannot be serious."

"We have no time to argue." Tennisman said sternly, "Overwrap."

Deuce sighed reluctantly and created a simple barrier as per Tennisman's request. Tennisman lifted his racket and move away from the data. He wanted to create some distance before drawing attention back towards himself.

"Plans?" Deuce asked.

"Fire." Tennisman said.

Coming to a stop, Tennisman placed his hand down to the ground near Sinistal's feet again. Instead of sand, shoots of grass sprouted from the panels and covered the ground in a lush carpet of green. Tennisman darted back a step and raised his arm cannon for his attack.

"Heatshots?" Desmond asked.

Tennisman nodded, trying to remain as silent as possible before his attack. Loading two rounds into his arm, he took aim and unloaded one flaming round into its left set of legs and quickly switched to hit the other set of legs. If the pain of being hit didn't give away his position, the sound of two explosive bursts would have. Moving towards his target, Tennisman wove his way into melee range and quickly tried to close the distance while raising his fist. The grass to his left and right have been burned away by the bolts of fire leaving only a straight path to its torso intact.

"Firehit!" Desmond called out and slotted in the chip.

Tennisman hand caught fire as he ran, gaining strength and clearing away the freshly spawned grass. Putting all of his inertia into the attack, Tennisman lunged forward and put his full weight into the punch and aimed for Sinistal's chest or its equivalent. He wasn't entirely sure what it was but he was still going to attack it.

TennisMan immediately rushed in to save Desmond's precious GMD and even went as far as to seal it with a barrier. As the grounds turned green, TennisMan rapidly fired the Heatshots at Sinistal's legs, all burning intensely. As the navi predicted, the virus detected the sound and tried to attack, but it was a complete miss and received a hefty punch on the body. Like always, the shock was strong enough to decapitate one of the heads, only leaving two!

Tennisman retracted his punch, satisfied with the lowered level of resistance Sinistal's scales were putting up. He was nearing the end of the battle and arched his head up and noticed only two necks remaining. Flecks of sand fell down from above as the hydra regained use of its eyes and locked its sights onto him. Tennisman bolted back to gain some distance and wondered what else he could possibly do.

"Boomer." He said.

Green energy coalesced around Deuce's frame and welled up in the strings before culminating along the edge of the face in a neon arc. One fierce swing was all it took to launch the viridian crescent from the racket. The spinning blade slashed towards Sinistal's necks. Tennisman continued to backpedal out of range and followed up with a string of rapidfire serves. He directed the clustered volley of tennis balls into Sinistal's open chest and hoped for the best.

"What now?" Deuce asked.

"Yeah, we're running low on chips." warned Desmond.

"It's alright." Deuce replied, "It looks like it's running low on heads."

With his options limited, Tennisman had no choice but to use something new. Tennisman strafed around his large opponent, trying to find the optimal angle to strike from.

"Yo-yo." He said.

The chip was slotted in and Tennisman soon found himself armed with a large bladed wheel. It was hefty and was bound to him by some sort of invisible tether. He couldn't feel or see it, but it was definitely anchored to him. There wasn't much time to admire it as he was prompted to attack and defend himself. Pushing his arm out, the over-sized yo-yo spun forward and cut through the air weightlessly. The burden disappeared as it rushed into Sinistal's heads in an upward slash. Giving it a tug to the side, the yo-yo reached the end of the line and viciously tore through everything it touched like a chainsaw before slashing to the side and retracting back like a morning star. Tennisman flinched right before the wheel returned, but fortunately it disappeared before it made contact with him.

"You okay?" Desmond asked.

Tennisman nodded and made one more chip request, "MarkCannon."

Tennisman took aim with the gun and waited for an opportunity to fire. Meanwhile, Deuce's wires restructured themselves and rewove into a tightened mesh.

TennisMan gained good distance away from Sinistal and began to attack with that he has left. The virus took the attack one by one, simply waiting for the perfect chance to strike. When TennisMan unleashed his Yo-yo, the two heads straightened up and fired two lasers simultaneously. The laser hit both TennisMan and Deuce, but that didn't stop them from continuing their attack. As soon as the Yo-yo carved the virus up, the Markcannon shot one of the head dead on!

"Shoot! You still okay?" Desmond asked.

Tennisman brushed off the laser burns and slapped a tennis ball at Sinistal to deter it from attacking again. Deuce regenerated his barrier while the duo tried to stay wary of further blasts.

"What chips do we have left?" Deuce asked.

"Uhhh..." Desmond groaned as he shuffled through the folder, "Spice, Fireburn, Guard, Windracket, Bodyburn, Pickpocket, Aquaneedle... And... THAT'S IT? Oh crap... Wait! And a V-Gun."

Tennisman swallowed hard. He wasn't sure if the remainder of the folder would be enough to finish off Sinistal, but he couldn't quit now. He was close; Too close to give up. Making another rush at the monster, Tennisman set up another Court Change, summoning a grassy block of panels beneat Sinistal, making very sure the mystery data wasn't included in the altered terrain.

Desmond was one step ahead of his navi, having already slotted in the Spice chip. The ground exhaled a cloud of purple and yellow spores that were too far down to be inhaled by Sinistal's faces looming high above him, but they were corrosive to the touch and Tennisman felt fortunate the programming prevented himself from suffering from its ill effects.

"Fireburn!" Tennisman called out next and began to strafe around Sinistal's huge frame. He unleashed a jet of flames from his buster that cleared away his grass and what was left of the Spice cloud. The greenery ignited under the wave of fire and spread everywhere in an instant. Tennisman didn't let up on his assault and continued to pour more power into his flamethrower until it died down to a sputtering spray of embers.

By this point, he was tired and out of breath. Having nearly cleared out all of his chips with non-stop fighting, he stopped to rest and held Deuce in front of him defensively, trying to slow his breathing. Desmond reacted by slotting in the last Guard as the last line of defence for his navi. His racket flashed bright yellow.

"Windracket." Tennisman called out.

"Last one." Desmond added as he slotted it in.

Winds churned fiercely around Deuce's golden strings and only picked up speed as more of the data integrated itself into the racket. Tennisman crouched down and punched the ground, initiating another Court Change.

"Another one?" Desmond and Deuce said together in disbelief.

Sand erupted outwards like the grass before it, but before the transition completed itself, Tennisman leapt up with his racket in a rising strike. The sand ripped up along with the racket reverting the ground back into normal panels. As the sand spread out, the attack only grew more powerful, culminating in a desert twister that spiralled into the sky. Landing back down, Tennisman wondered if that would be enough to finish the job.
